Paki Noble Prize Winner Being Demonized By Removing His Name From The Science Centre Named After Him !

The ‘Salam Centre’ brouhaha
May 12, 2018
Pervez Hoodbhoy

IN another country naming or renaming a university’s physics centre or department would be considered utterly unremarkable. But here in Pakistan — if the name is that of Abdus Salam (1926-1996, physics Nobel Prize 1979) — instant controversy is guaranteed. That’s because, on the one hand, Salam commands the devotion of his embattled Ahmadi community. On the other hand, mere mention of his name inspires religious fury among sections of the population.
Some welcomed it — while others were livid — but all were astonished in late December 2016 when national newspapers and TV channels reported that Quaid-i-Azam University’s physics department had just become the ‘Abdus Salam Department of Physics’ (it had not!). Soon thereafter, that the National Centre for Physics (housed on the QAU campus) was now the ‘Professor Abdus Salam Centre for Physics’ (again, false!). The putative changes were attributed to pre-Panama prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
For 17 months everything went quiet. Then front pages filled up again. A parliamentary resolution tabled by Captain Safdar, son-in-law of Nawaz Sharif and a parliamentarian, demanded that the QAU physics department be renamed the ‘Al-Khazani department’ to honour Mansur al-Khazani, an 11th-century Seljuk-Persian star gazer. Safdar, the son-in-law of Ganja has been the most vocal anti-Ahmedi in Ganja's close circles !!
Safdar probably took this initiative because he thought that the QAU physics department had indeed been renamed after Salam. But was his resolution — which came suddenly out of the blue — intended to spite or taunt his father-in-law? To garner election support from Ahmadi-hating radicals of the TLP? Or was it to drum up religious sentiment at a time when Safdar is under a NAB investigation for corruption? In any case he certainly hit sympathetic religious chords. Safdar’s resolution was unanimously approved by parliament, the text of which states that Al Khazani deserves this belated recognition for having shaken the world of physics with his astonishing works (hairat angaiz karnamay).
Here’s what actually happened. On Dec 29, 2016, the president of Pakistan, on the summary advice of the prime minister of Pakistan, signed his approval to a document titled, ‘Proposal to Rename NCP at QAU as Professor Abdus Salam Centre for Physics’. The summary had been vetted on Dec 26, 2016, by the minister of state for education and professional training. It was then sent to QAU for necessary action. One does not know for sure what made Mian Nawaz Sharif recognise Salam’s importance as a scientist, belated though it was. During his first tenure as prime minister, while speaking at Government College Lahore in 1992, he read out a long list of distinguished alumni and faculty but had conspicuously omitted Salam’s name.
The change probably came because in early 2016 (third tenure) Sharif visited Cern (European Nuclear Research Centre, the world’s largest laboratory) to cement the Pak-Cern collaboration. It is said he was much impressed to learn that major parts of Cern’s research — including the search for the Higgs boson — revolved around discoveries made by Abdus Salam and Steven Weinberg. He was also taken for a drive on Rue de Salam, a road named after Salam.
The official order for renaming NCP — duly signed by the Pakistani state’s highest executives, president and prime minister — was received at QAU (a state university) and conveyed onward to NCP (a state-owned centre affiliated to QAU). But at NCP it died a quiet death. More than anything else, Pakistanis should worry when state institutions wilfully ignore executive orders. About NCP: it is now largely funded and operated by the Strategic Plans Division (SPD) of the Pakistan Army. Although NCP has no connection with nuclear weapons research, the SPD is charged with maintaining and handling the country’s nuclear weapons. It also seeks to widen its influence within civil society, particularly in universities.
The bottom line: the brouhaha is over. QAU is highly unlikely to rename its physics department after a barely known 11th-century star-gazer, and it is highly unlikely that SPD (i.e. the Pakistan Army) will implement the orders of a deposed prime-minister with whom its relationship has been problematic.
Physics — or for that matter every kind of science — needs an enabling cultural and social environment to flourish. Science suffocates when scientists are judged by their religion, race, ethnicity or any criterion other than scientific achievement. Though it was but a storm in a teacup, this Salam episode tells us how far Pakistan needs to travel before our soil can produce science of worth.

Pakistani Democracy Mobocracy In Practice !

Manzoor Pashteen reportedly stopped from boarding plane to Karachi ahead of PTM gathering
ISLAMABAD – Manzoor Pashteen head of Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement (PTM) was reportedly stopped from boarding a plane to Karachi ahead of PTM gathering on 13th May. Manzoor was supposed to address the gathering, whose agenda revolves around the extra-judicial killings
The news was shared by Mr Jibran Nasir on Twitter. According to Jibran, “First airline claimed Manzoor’s name is not on the passenger list despite him having a ticket. Did not allow him to board. Then an Intelligence agency personnel standing at airport openly signaled staff at all ticket counters not to issue any new ticket to Manzoor Pashteen.”
Jibran also blamed a protocol officer at the airport for ensuring that Manzoor doesn’t fly out of Islamabad.
PTM gathering will take place in Karachi on 13 May in Sohrab Goth. The gathering was to take place in centrally located Jinnah Bagh but PTM was forced to change the venue. Daily Pakistan Global has contacted airline authorities, however, they were unavailable to make any comments.

Pakis "Renege" On Their Promise To Release The US Diplomat Involved In That Car Accident

Americans return empty handed after FIA bars ‘killer’ US diplomat from leaving Pakistan
SLAMABAD – An American attempt to bring back its diplomat involved in the killing of a youth in Islamabad after Pakistan barred Col Joseph Emanuel Hall from leaving the country.
A special plane, C-130, reached Noor Khan Airbase on Saturday to take along the accused diplomat, local media earlier reported, adding that the US embassy had handed over the passport of the official to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration. Unless some sort of an earlier assurance was given to the US Embassy, a special C-130 would not have been sent to Pakistan, IMO.
The US representatives waited for four hours at the Pakistani airbase but the FIA officials did not allow Hall to leave the country as his name was put on the blacklist by the Ministry of Interior. Later, the C-130 returned to Afghanistan without the ‘killer’ diplomat. Some higher up, probably "changed his mind", because of the on going tension with Massa . Or wanted US to release more moolah for the diplomutt caught in the tussle between the "two al-lies "
Earlier, Raymond Davis- the CIA contractor who was arrested after murdering two Pakistani men in Lahore – was allowed to go back after settling the murder case using the Sharia law. And if some unconfirmed reports were to be believed, the US had to issue a "lot of immigration visas" on top of the monies paid under Sharia
On April 7, US Defence and Air Attaché Col Joseph Emanuel Hall ran a red light at Daman-i-Koh Chowk and hit a motorcycle. Consequently, two riders of the bike suffered injuries and one of them, 22-year-old Ateeq Baig, succumbed to his injuries. :((
Col Hall had escaped arrest because of diplomatic immunity but a first information report (FIR) regarding the incident was registered with Kohsar Police Station. On April 24, the interior ministry had informed the court that in order to restrict the movement of Col Hall, his name had been placed on the blacklist of the directorate of immigration. Ultimately the Pakis WILL have to release him . Just negotiating for the right price, IMO !

Pakistan Just Recently Passed A Law Called "Acid And Burn Crime 2017

Schoolgirl comes under acid attack in Lahore
LAHORE – Another incident of acid attack was reported in Green Town area of Lahore on Friday, where a girl of Bagrian Stop suffered multiple burns on her face and arms.According to media reports, an unknown motorcyclist threw acid on the girl before fleeing the scene. The victim had just arrived back home and was on her doorstep when she was targeted. Reinforces the axiom - specially in Pakiland - that "laws are meant to be broken" . Has the recent laws protecting "transgenders" ( fancy name for the derogatary Hijras !) made any difference to the attacks on them !)
The girl was rushed to Jinnah hospital with the aid of neighbours where she was shifted to the Burn Unit and doctors at the centre said half of the face of the girl and a major part of her arm had burned. The girl and her parents said that they were unaware of the identity of the assailant. Earlier, last month, three girls suffered burn injuries after a group of men threw acid at them in Gujrat city of Punjab. It will take a long long time to change such behaviour . And it will come through Education . Not the "Education" taught in The Book

Paki Hockey Hero Dies Without An "Indian Heart" Put Into Him

Social media mourns death of Pakistan’s hockey hero Mansoor Ahmed
Last month, the hockey legend aspired to go to neighbouring India for a surgery where the health facilities were much better according to the player. He had reached out to the Indian government for a visa so that he could get the needed treatment, however, doctors in Pakistan have said that the former goalkeeper could be treated in the country.

"Cat And Mouse Game" Being Played In The Media Between Massa And Pakiland

Foreign Policy recalibration, Pakistan and Russia have signed a defence treaty: Report
May 12, 2018
*ISLAMABAD - Foreign Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan has revealed that Pakistan and Russia have signed a defence treaty. He however gave no further details of this treaty.* *The US attitude has forced Pakistan to inch closer to China and lately towards Russia .* Pakistan should "get closer to itself" rather than "whoring itself " to any third party, at least IMO
*He said Pakistan has wiped out terrorism on its soil with great determination.*
In an interview to a private news channel,he said law enforcing agencies are fighting against terrorists for complete eradication of terrorism from the country. :((
The foreign minister said our Armed Forces have successfully eliminated terrorism from North Waziristan and destroyed all nurseries of terrorists from the area and it is a peaceful place now. :((
He said despite threats by the United States, Pakistan wants to establish good relations with it. He said US wants to pressurise Pakistan by using different tactics. New FM's message to Massa through the medium of media
Khurram Dastgir said relations between Pakistan and Russia are strengthening day by day and both the countries have signed a defence treaty, APP has reported. Taqqiya by any chance

Six family members killed, one injured in Peshawar hotel blast
https://tribune.com.pk/story/1707471/1- ... ast-hotel/
PESHAWAR: Five members of a family were killed and two others injured in a blast inside a hotel in Bilal Town area of the city in the jurisdiction of Hashtnagri police station early Friday morning. One injured Kamran later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital in Islamabad.

CCPO Qazi Jamil told The Express Tribune that they had not found any component of an improvised explosive device (IED) at the blast site nor any trace of explosive was found by the bomb-disposal squad. SP City Kukab said that all deceased were member of one family. He said that the probable cause of the blast was gas leakage. The ill-fated family was visiting Peshawar to consult a doctor in Dabgari area of the city. Failing to find the transport to go back to their town late in the night, they booked two rooms at the hotel. All those who died in the blast were staying in room 408 on the fourth floor while the others two in a room opposite theirs. The blast occurred around 2:30 in the morning. Police suspected that there was a gas connection in the room and most probably the children pushed the lever while playing, which led to the death of all of them.
Blast kills one policeman, wounds 13 in northwest Pakistan
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-paki ... SKBN1IC0TZ
PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - A bomb blast ripped through a bus terminal in a Pakistani region bordering Afghanistan on Friday, killing one policeman and wounding 13, officials said, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The device, apparently rigged to a motorcycle, exploded when a police patrol passed by the bus terminal in the northwestern city of Kohat, said police official Nauman Khan. Police were investigating whether it was a remote controlled or a timed device, he added. Five of the 13 wounded were in critical condition, said Ahsan Khan, an official at a district hospital.

Bird Hits PIA Plane . Or PIA Plane Hits Bird. Not Sure :D . But "Emergency Landing" Sure Happened

Bird Hit PIA flight during emergency landing at Lahore
ISLAMABAD - An Islamabad-bound PIA flight, which took off from Paris, made an emergency landing at Allama Iqbal International Airport here citing bad weather conditions. "Bad weather" is the "excuse of choice" in all such cases, true or not, who knows !
During the landing, a bird collided with the plane. The passengers of the flight started demanding an alternate plane for their remaining journey to Islamabad.
Understandable considering the long flight, the possible dirty toilets, the below par cabin service, and other maladies for which this airline is "famous"
The officials of PIA refused the request of passengers, on which passengers protested furiously, and MNA Shahab-ud-Din, who was among the enraged passengers, announced angrily to leave his party right at the airport as protest against poor management of the affairs of the state-owned airlines. He should make it a point to raise this issue in the National Assembly, as and when he gets around to attend the National Assembly session ( unless he rode "free" because of being an MNA . In that case, he should stay quiet )
“It is shameful that I belong to the PML-N”, Shahb-ud-Din, a National Assembly member from NA-44 constituency from tribal areas, said.
After the emergency landing of the flight, the PIA administration officials, initially asked passengers to go to Islamabad via buses on their own. However, after the protest of passengers, the airlines accepted the demand of passengers and arranged for their commute to Islamabad.
PS: Did the MNA also rode in the bus, considering his "special status"

Manzoor Pashteen Gives Interview To CNN Of USA :D

Manzoor Pashteen: The Pashtun folk hero making life difficult for Pakistan's ruling class
By Sophia Saifi and Euan McKirdy, CNN
Updated 9:28 PM EDT, Fri May 11, 2018
(CNN) Manzoor Ahmed Pashteen, a 24-year-old ethnic Pashtun, was just a child when the US-led war on terror began, and it wasn't long until it was on his doorstep. He said his family, who live in Pakistan's north-western region, close to the Afghan border, first heard the name "Taliban" in 2004. By the end of the year, with fighting intensifying, his family was forced out of their village, Sarwakai. The following year "the situation became such that whenever an elder spoke out against the war they would suddenly disappear."
Pashteen has accused the military of allying with the Pakistani Taliban -- an almost-sacrilegious accusation in a country where the military is counted among the strongest and most trustworthy of institutions.
"Ask them: Who they are harboring in their cantonment zones, if not the Taliban?" Pashteen tells CNN, referring to the security forces' military stations. Latest reports in the Paki press say that he has been stopped by Deep State - from boarding a flight from Islamabad to Karachi today where he is scheduled to speak to a rally of his PTM supporters
The military and intelligence services have responded to repeated requests from CNN for comment by saying they are "not available to comment."
His suspicions are not unique in the remote Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), where years of war and violence have left villages destroyed and lives ruined by militant violence and heavy-handed government interference, which often leads to what they see as indiscriminate killing and arrests.
The military has long denied claims of links to armed groups. It has also rejected allegations of involvement in extrajudicial killings and abuses in its long-running war against militants in the tribal region. It's against this violent backdrop that a new generation of young men and women have emerged with a renewed call for justice. Pashteen, a charismatic speaker and a defender of the Pashtun ethnic group, has been thrust into the spotlight as leader of this new movement. On Sunday Pashteen will address what could be his largest crowd yet, in Karachi, home to the country's largest urban Pashtun population.
Pakistani reports- Saturday - say that he has been barred from taking a flight from Islamabad to Karachi !
What started off as a conversation among students leaders at Gomal University in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtukhua (KP) province in 2014, quickly became its own organization, the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) -- "tahafuz" means protection in Urdu.
But it wasn't until January 2018, following the death of Naqeebullah Mehsud, an aspiring model who security services killed as part of a raid on a group of militants aligned with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -- the Pakistani Taliban -- that the movement really began to gather momentum.
Senior police officials later conceded after an investigation that Mehsud had no ties to militancy.A fter three months of sustained outrage, a local police superintendent was arrested in connection with the killing. The case against him is currently ongoing. Mehsud's death gave rise to a series of PTM organized rallies throughout the country, later dubbed the "Pashtun Long March."
At PTM rallies, thousands of men, women and children hold aloft photos, ragged Polaroids and tattered birth certificates from their missing relatives, hoping that this young man's swaggering charisma can somehow bring their loved ones home. The movement -- which is committed to nonviolence -- is demanding authorities confront accusations of involvement in the death and disappearance of hundreds of Pashtuns in FATA, and guarantee rights for the 30 million tribespeople that make up the minority group.
The PTM is also demanding the removal of checkpoints and land mines from FATA areas and compensation for property destroyed in the course of Pakistan Army offensives in the region. "These demands appeal to a fairly broad section of the Pakistani population, as they are about fundamental fairness," says Barnett Rubin, a senior fellow and Associate Director for the Center on International Cooperation, where he directs the Afghanistan Pakistan Regional Program.
When CNN meets Pashteen at an undisclosed location -- he fears for his own safety -- he is, as ever, wearing his distinctive, embroidered red-and-black hat. The headgear, which he exchanged with a shepherd for the one off his own head, has itself has become a powerful symbol, to the point where similar style hats have been banned from at least one university. He eats walnut cake while quoting popular Bollywood songs to prove his points, and is direct when it comes to his convictions. "I come from a family that sees through the things we begin," he says. "We don't back down halfway."
As the protest in Karachi looms, there has reportedly been a crackdown on PTM activists -- local media reports that over 150 have been booked on sedition and terror charges ahead of Sunday's march. At a press conference on Friday, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal said that due to threats to the rally he had canceled permission for PTM to hold it at its planned location, and would restore permission if the group relocates to a "safer place somewhere else in Karachi."
According to a report published in early 2018 by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, in 2017, the number of "enforced disappearances" -- those linked to actions by security forces -- in the country "continued to pose a real threat for human rights." The commission alleges there are 867 people missing from KP province alone.
Despite a rush of support to the PTM from a wide spectrum of Pakistanis there have been tangible stirrings of unease at some of the language used by the group. Nida Kirmani, an associate professor of sociology at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, argues that the PTM has rattled the establishment, homing in on what she describes as a "crisis of democracy" in Pakistan. However, retired brigadier Asad Munir, a former Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) officer who was station chief in various parts of the country between 1999 and 2004, including a posting in FATA, says that he feels that the military's own losses during counterinsurgency operations in the country's northwest should not be overlooked.
"With 6,000 soldiers killed and many lives disrupted, and after finally wresting back control of the region, the army will simply will not tolerate anything that they feel could lead to the destabilization of FATA," says Munir.
Munir also has questions regarding the group's finances. "Who is funding them?" Who is paying for all this travel, all the logistics, where are the funds coming from?" he asks.
Pashteen is quick to shrug off any insinuation that they are being funded by external groups. When pressed for a response to questions from CNN regarding funding, he remains vague. "We all get by, things just happen," he says, pointing to the fact they collect money from supporters during rallies and from the Pashtun diaspora.
The movement has caused a regional stir, and has become a focal point in ongoing tensions between Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan, which have endured worsening relations due to an increase in attacks in Kabul which Afghan officials have linked to Pakistan-based militants. Islamabad has refuted the claims. The most visible indication of support came from Afghan leader Ashraf Ghani, who tweeted in February: "I fully support the historical #PashtunLongMarch in Pakistan. The main purpose of which is to mobilize citizens against fundamentalism and terrorism in the region."
However, the endorsement led to accusations from within Pakistan that Pashteen was a stooge supported by foreign entities. "The movement's opponents in Pakistan try to use (foreign support) against it to argue it is inspired by foreign intelligence agencies -- of Afghanistan, India, and the US," says Rubin, the US-based analyst. "So the Afghan government has to be careful."
The 24-year-old says he is making the security services jittery, and it can be seen in media coverage -- or the lack thereof. The journalism advocacy group Reporters Without Borders issued a statement last month accusing the military of censorship, but the military has denied being behind any clampdown. "The latest subject to be placed off limits is the Pashtun (Protection) Movement, which has been organizing protests in defense of Pakistan's Pashtun minority and denouncing human rights violations by the military targeting Pashtuns," the statement read.
Pashteen sees the military's alleged actions as tactics of yesteryear and says they are proving less and less effective in the age of new media.
"They can use all the propaganda they want against us but at the end of the day we will continue to post whatever we like on social media," he says.
Confronting this social media agility is "a new situation for the Pakistani military, and it doesn't seem sure how to proceed," Rubin says.

Pakistan urged to focus on EU, not just China

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, while focusing on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), should also look beyond in the European Union (EU), amid the scenario evolving in the aftermath of Brexit, which is due next year.

The EU is a market of 460 million people and Pakistan should explore it to tap the trade and investment potential. For this to happen, Pakistan needs to build an positive image, enhance engagements with EU countries and improve its human rights status.

This was the crux of the deliberation during the seminar titled “Post-Brexit trade relations in European Union: Implications for Pakistan”, organised by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pál Belényesi, managing director, Brussels Consulting and Independent Scientific Adviser to the European Parliament, said Pakistan should explore more options for trade and expand its export markets, as relying on a single trading partner is not wise.

He said Pakistan’s economy is not diversified enough and its industries should be open to transformation to reap maximum trade benefits. At this point in time, the EU is Pakistan’s largest trading partner when it comes to net trade balance and contributes almost 25% of total Pakistan’s foreign direct investments (FDIs), he added.

By diversifying export destinations, upgrading manufacturing and value-addition in products such as minerals, pharmaceuticals, electronic components and automobile products, Pakistan can gain more from trade with the EU countries in the post-Brexit scenario, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, SDPI Joint Executive Director Dr Vaqar Ahmed said Pakistan’s exports to the UK have been on a gradual increase largely due to the GSP Plus facility. He said although the UK has given assurances that it will continue some preferential treatment for exports, the government of Pakistan will need to engage vigorously in order to make the arrangement a reality.

Nawaz Sharif admits Pak's hand in 26/11 Mumbai attacks
May 12, 2018 19:13 IST
For the first time, Pakistan's ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif has publicly acknowledged that terrorist organisations are active in the country and questioned the policy to allow the "non-state actors" to cross the border and "kill" people in Mumbai, a media report said.
Sharif, who has been disqualified to hold public office for life by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case, said Pakistan has isolated itself.
"We have isolated ourselves. Despite giving sacrifices, our narrative is not being accepted. Afghanistan's narrative is being accepted, but ours is not. We must look into it," Sharif told Dawn.
Without naming Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed and Maulana Masood Azhar's terrorist organisations -- Jamaat-ud-Dawah and Jaish-e-Mohammad, -- operating in the country with impunity, Sharif said: "Militant organisations are active in Pakistan.
"Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill over 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can't we complete the trial." The Mumbai attacks-related trials are stalled in a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court. He further said: “It's absolutely unacceptable (to allow non-state actors to cross the border and commit terrorism there). President (Vladimir) Putin has said it. President Xi (Jinping) has said it."

Ganja Gets Assertive In An Newspaper Interview :Militants crossed the border and killed 150 people in Mumbai

For Nawaz, it’s not over till it’s over
Cyril Almeida

A
LAMBASTING the ongoing accountability process against himself and his family, former prime minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has said: “You can’t run a country if you have two or three parallel governments. This has to stop. There can only be one government: the constitutional one.” The Deep State was in "existence" when he held the post of PM . They let him "play the role of PM", until he deluded himself and starting to to step on "fauji toes" and then he "became toast" .
In a wide-ranging and exclusive interview with Dawn ahead of his rally in Multan on Friday, a relaxed but adamant Sharif dismissed the recent defections from the PML-N, particularly in southern Punjab. “They didn’t leave the party, they were taken away. Who took them away?” Aliens  Mr Sharif asked.
“If there really was a mahaz (front), then why did it last only two days? Who forced them to immediately join PTI?” Mr Sharif continued. There is no doubt that Imran is being "groomed" ( by the Deep State !) to become PM. Though there are a "couple of hiccups", like his superficiality, his lack of a detailed plan to "fix " Pakiland , the scandals and rumours surrounding his personal life, what to do about ( present ) Peerni and of his "beloved" dogs and his dictatorial attitude towards the PTI Party ( My way or the Highway !)
The rally in Multan was his first visit to southern Punjab’s largest city since his ouster in last July and the former prime minister was keen to steer the interview back to his politics of grievance rather than discuss regional political dynamics. Garnering sympathy for his " political fate" may bring him some votes though !
He denied that the Jhelum rally earlier in the week signalled a possible slowdown in momentum or weakening of public support for him. “Perhaps it was a smaller ground, but it was packed to capacity,” said Mr Sharif. “It is a very popular slogan,” he said of ‘mujhe kyun nikala?’ and, added with evident satisfaction, “There is a lot of appreciation, a lot of recognition for it.” So, after testing this catchy ( ‘mujhe kyun nikala?’) slogan in "focus groups" within his own inner circle, he has decided to test it for his Party ( He is barred from holding office !)
The PML-N supreme leader also deflected questions about who will lead the party in the upcoming general elections campaign and whether his brother, Shahbaz Sharif, will be the prime ministerial candidate. Instead, he offered: “There is a lot of appreciation for Shahbaz Sharif. Look around this city and see how it’s totally transformed.” Shahbaz has taken over the mantle of the "family business" . He is at present "negotiating" with the Deep State for their support to become PM !
Asked what he believes is the reason for his ouster from public office, Mr Sharif did not reply directly but steered the conversation towards foreign policy and national security. “We have isolated ourselves. Despite giving sacrifices, our narrative is not being accepted. Afghanistan’s narrative is being accepted, but ours is not. We must look into it.”
He continued: “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?” — a reference to the Mumbai attacks-related trials which have stalled in a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court. IMO, this is the main reason why he was "removed from power". He "probably" promised Modi-ji speedy trial for the accused in 26/11 terrorism act. But found out later that he could not deliver his promise.
“It’s absolutely unacceptable. This is exactly what we are struggling for. President Putin has said it. President Xi has said it,” Mr Sharif said. “We could have already been at seven per cent growth (in GDP), but we are not.”
Putin's reluctance to make a trip to Pakiland may have something to do with this factor !
He denied that a third ouster from the premiership represented a failed approach on his part and suggested he had no regrets nor would he have to do anything differently if he returned to public office. “The Constitution has to be supreme. There is no other way. Look, we put a dictator on trial; it had never been done before,” referring to retired Gen Pervez Musharraf. There is absolutely no doubt that the Pakistani Army will "allow" one of its own ( even though Mush is a "pseudo Pakjabi" !) to be humiliated on the world stage and thrown into jail !
Mr Sharif also rejected speculation that he would consider a deal if offered to him, another stint in exile for avoiding a jail sentence, for example. “Why would I do it now after 66 appearances (before a NAB court)? We don’t even get an exemption,” to visit his wife, Kulsum Nawaz, who is undergoing cancer treatment in the UK. “It’s not easy to stay away.” The shrewd dehati politico may leverage the condition of his sick Begum to garner votes for his Party . As for "defecting" abroad on a permanent basis, Pakis are noted to be "Out Of Place" (OOP) anywhere except Pakiland !
“Look, we have no other choice,” Mr Sharif said before leaving to address the Multan rally. “These games have gone on too long. Something has to change.” . Democracy is a sham in Pakiland . Once in power, the PM - whoever he is - starts to show dictatorial tendencies and "crush" the opponents as Ganja did with Immy and Dus percenti !
But Mr Sharif’s sangfroid and confidence is not shared by others, including many in his party. After the completion of parliament’s term at the end of May, defections from the PML-N could accelerate, leaving him with a powerful electoral slogan, sympathetic voters, but few winning candidates and, ultimately, few seats in the next parliament. If Shahbaaz strikes a deal with the "Deep State" this may change !

The "Overactive" Chief Justice Of Pakistan Himself Is "Encouraging" Paki Actors And Actresses To File Petition Banning Indian Dramas On Paki Television Channels And He Will Then Do The Needful

Celebrities protest outside top court to ban Indian dramas on Pakistani channels

The Express Tribune
May 12, 2018
KARACHI : Many Pakistani celebs took to the Supreme Court (SC) to ban Indian dramas on local channels on Saturday, reported Express News.
Yesterday, United Producers Association took to Twitter to share the initiative to ban Indian content on Pakistani channels. Many famous actors such as Faysal Quraishi, Adnan Siddiqui, Samina Ahmed and many others came forward to support the stance.
The actors had their first hearing at the top court today. The veteran drama actor, Samina revealed to the press, “The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has asked us to submit an application and we will soon be given a new date for the next hearing, assuring course of action to be taken.”
Further talking about it, Adnan, who has worked with Indian actors such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sridevi, Akshaye Khanna, said, “We have to admit that whatever we are today, wherever we are, it’s all because of television. We are not here for a particular channel, we are against the content that is being aired. Many people are unemployed because of the Indian, American content.” The Indian and Amreeki dishes being served on Paki TV are very tasty for the awaam . And now are hooked/ addicted to it and cannot do without it . Could a "dose of Malsi" cured this "illness" remains to be seen
Another veteran actor, Ejaz Aslam added, “Because of the international content, more than 50,000 films are getting affected. There should be a quota, a proper one, to air let’s say, only 10% of foreign content.” Not sure what he is talking about
The CJP took notice of the petition, asking actors to file an application for the petition. In spite of the ban, the CJP and his family plus the RAPE section of the Paki population will continue to "enjoy" the tasty western and the Indian dishes from alternate sources
“The content airing on television is at times inappropriate for the “Islamic Republic of Pakistan.” We’re all liberal, but the award shows are ill-suited for the audience due to the inappropriate dresses. This is not our culture, and we will not stand while our traditions and norms are diminished,” added CJP. :((
The apex court has issued notices to Pemra and relevant TV channels. And "notices" are expected to be "obeyed" no ifs and buts about it

Imran Khan Speaks "Language Of Army" To Rouse The "Awaam Of Karachi"

International conspiracy against Pakistan Army, Nawaz - Modi involved in it: Imran Khan
May 12, 2018
KARACHI – PTI chairman Imran Khan has said that an international conspiracy is being hatched against the Pak Army and Nawaz and Modi are together in it. Addressing a big public gathering on Saturday, he said that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari ( Did he not recently "make up " with Zardari . Proves once again that he cannot be trusted !) are not loyal to the country, but to their stolen money.
He said that Nawaz Sharif is speaking the language of Narendra Modi. ( And he is speaking the language of the fauj :(( ) “Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari are Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq of the country,” he said.
“Karachi is a mini Pakistan in a real sense. The entire country suffers from fever when Karachi sneezes,” he said. Obviously "copied" from " When USA sneezes, Canada gets a cold !"
The PTI chairman said that government schools are in an abysmal state. “Thirdly, we will improve the situation of hospitals,” he said.
He said that law and order is the biggest problem of Karachi and the PTI would rectify it.

Shahbaaz Being Groomed For PMship. He Is Already Behaving Like He Is The Prime Minister Of Pakiland

Shahbaz Sharif briefs international diplomats about his foreign policy after coming to power
May 12, 2018
ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister and ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said that after winning the general elections our foreign policy would be based on peace and stability.Addressing a gathering of diplomats from several countries in Islamabad on Saturday, the PML-N President said that Pakistan believes in a policy of peace within and abroad and has always join hands with the world community in peace efforts in the region and across the world. “Pakistan’s foreign policy is a policy of durable peace and stability,” he added.
The chief minister said that peaceful relations with neighboring countries in the region is our priority, adding that Pakistan wants resolution of Kashmir dispute according to the aspiration of the Kashmiri people and United Nations resolutions.Shehbaz went on to say that Pakistan was playing role of front line state in war against terror, adding that the success in war on terror was possible due to the unity and cooperation of civil-military leadership.
He said: “After coming to power the incumbent government took many tough decisions to overcome challenges confronting the nation.”
Shehbaz further said that a number of development projects are underway under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
IMO, this kind of a meeting could not have taken place without the blessings of the Deep State. ( although the report did not say who attended. Amb from India and USA  !) IMO, the Deep State is keeping its option open and playing Immy against Shahbaaz ; one of the quid pro quo for supporting the "clever brother" is the implied understanding that he ( Shahbaaz) is the only person, who would be able to keep Ganja "boxed in " . If he is allowed to elevate to power, Immy is going to cry foul again and take to the streets !!!

Hafiz Saeed leads funeral prayers in absentia of Kashmiri freedom fighters martyred by Indian Army
May 13, 2018
LAHORE - Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Saeed led a funeral prayer in absentia of the Kashmiri freedom fighters martryed recently.
Saeed led the prayers on Friday at the JuD headquarters in Chauburji Lahore. He also led a rally outside the JuD headquarters to express solidarity with the Kashmiris. The Holy Month Of Ramzan is just around the corner. So, the question of locking him up in the "Holy Month" is not of the question
Saeed has offered Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and ousted premier Nawaz Sharif "relief" if they quit their friendship with the Indian prime minister."If the prime minister (Abbasi) and former prime minister (Sharif) want to rid of the problems they are facing today they first will have to quit their friendship with Indian prime minister (Narendra) Modi and slavery of the United States," he said. WoW . An internationally known terrorist threatening the present and past prime minister of Pakiland

KU professor Dr Riaz Ahmed missing since last night, family says

May 13, 2018
Dr Riaz Ahmed, a political activist and chairman of department of Applied Chemistry at the University of Karachi (KU), has gone missing from Karachi, his family said on Saturday.
Dr Ahmed last contacted his wife last night from the university at around 8pm and has not been in contact since 9pm Friday night, his family said.
His phone has been switched off.A KU spokesperson said that the university has been informed about the associate professor's disappearance and is attempting to locate him. Activists associated with the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) have connected the incident to an alleged crackdown on sympathisers ahead of a rally scheduled for tomorrow.
They have demanded the release of Dr Ahmed and several others allegedly detained as part of the same crackdown. Describing the professor as Karachi's "agitator-in-chief", acclaimed author and writer Mohammad Hanif has also demanded that he be released.
Meanwhile, lawyer and activist Jibran Nasir has said that Hashim Khan, who played an instrumental role in highlighting Naqeebullah Mehsud's extrajudicial killing, was picked up last night for supporting PTM.
Dr Ahmed had been arrested last year by the Sindh Rangers on charges of possessing a pistol, which he maintains were false and fabricated. He was picked up minutes before he was to hold a press conference at the Karachi Press Club to demand proper treatment for now deceased Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London leader and professor Dr Hassan Zafar Arif, who had been in police custody at that time.
Karachi University Teacher's Society (KUTS), in an emergency session, strongly condemned the “mysterious” disappearance of Dr Ahmed. It expressed extreme grief and anger over the fact that "a teacher who provides wisdom and enlightenment to the society is made to mysteriously disappear, resulting in a highly negative societal impact".
In the wider interest of students, however, the KUTS decided to go ahead with the PhD and MPhil entry tests scheduled for May 13 but warned that the "entry test copies will not be checked and the results will not be announced” until Dr Ahmed’s recovery. The KUTS further said that it will hold a protest in the university's arts lobby after the exams on Sunday.

" Red Texas " Elects A Paki Immigrant On City Council And This Muslim Reporter Is All Excited About Him

Don’t Mess With This Muslim From Texas—He Just Got Elected!
Dean Obeidallah
May 11, 2018
Something truly wonderful happened in Texas on Saturday night. In between a rodeo championship in Fort Worth, a country music festival in Austin and people honky tonkin’ from Amarillo to San Antonio, history was being made in the mid-size city of Euless, Texas.
In this north Texas city that boasts a population of a little over 50,000, the good people there elected the first minority ever to the Euless City Council. And not only that, the person they elected by a 37-vote margin was both a Muslim and a Pakistani immigrant by the name of Salman Bhojani. So he just managed to squeeze in . Maybe, some Indians did not come out and vote against him ! :D
A Muslim immigrant winning an election in Trump’s America, where he’s made anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant bigotry a cornerstone of his campaign, is truly inspiring—especially in a red state like Texas. While Bhojani was subject to anti-Muslim attacks during the campaign, his win truly represents a victory of American values over Trump’s un-American views. Maybe, his Paki ethnicity should also have been made a factor !
But this wasn’t an easy win for Bhojani, who possesses all the qualifications of someone who should easily win a local race. He’s a Boy Scout leader, a family man, has served on the city’s parks board for four years and is a lawyer practicing in the area. If he were Christian and white, I bet the GOP would’ve loved to recruit Bhojani. This is a Ummah Brother speaking, so this can be discounted !
But he’s not. Bhojani is a brown, Muslim Pakistani immigrant who came to America in 1999. And while the election was non-partisan, that didn’t stop a Republican state representative—who was not even a candidate in the race—from trying to gin up anti-Muslim animus. So there was Texas representative and Trump wannabe Jonathan Stickland doing his best to scare local voters about the dangers of a Muslim American seeking elected office.
Sadly, anti-Muslim hate is a big part of mainstream Republican politics. After all, Trump openly employed it with his call for a complete Muslim ban and by declaring that “Islam hates us.” That’s why it’s not surprising that in the current race to be the next governor of Michigan we’re seeing anti-Muslim bigotry being spewed by a Republican elected official against Democrat Abdul El-Sayed, a 33-year-old medical doctor who previously headed Detroit’s health department.
The primary in Michigan isn’t until Aug. 8, so we won’t know until then if Colbeck’s anti-Muslim venom is successful. But thankfully last Saturday in Euless, Texas we saw American values trump bigotry—even if just by 37 votes. Should not this Muslim Reporter be doing a bit of objective reporting , instead of promoting an Ummah Club right in the heartland of USA

PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen prevented from boarding flight to Karachi
Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Ahmed, aka Manzoor Pashteen, was on Saturday refused a boarding pass by a private airline for a flight from Islamabad to Karachi, where his socio-political movement is scheduled to hold a rally on May 13.
Pashteen and three of his associates had booked economy class seats on Serene Air flight ER-501, which was to depart from the newly-built Islamabad International Airport at 10am and reach Karachi at noon, the activist shared. When Pashteen and his associates reached the Serene Air check-in counter, those accompanying him were issued boarding passes but Pashteen was denied the same on the grounds that his details were "not in the system" and that he wasn't cleared to board the flight. The Serene Air spokesperson, retired Air Vice Marshal Riaz, confirmed that this was why Pashteen was not allowed to board the flight.
A police source earlier said that the PTM may be given permission by tonight to hold their rally tomorrow "under certain conditions". Later on Saturday, the Karachi deputy commissioner issued a no objection certificate (NOC) to the PTM for the rally at a ground situated behind Al Asif Square, Sohrab Goth.
The notification said that permission to hold a rally there is subject to the following conditions:
No speaker will deliver any speech against the ideology of Pakistan, state of Pakistan, its institutions and any religion
No political/sectarian/objectionable activitiy/speeches/criticism of institutions shall be allowed which may cause and create hatred amongst various sects or injure feelings of the people
Effigy flag of any political or religious party shall not be burned
There shall be no display of arms
Use of deck/speakers/sound amplifier shall comply with provisions of West Pakistan Amplifier Ordinance 1965
No main road obstruction and disturbance shall be caused to the general public and traffic
The organiser is solely reponsible for any mishap and will have to face the legal consequences
The internal security of the programme is the responsibility of the organisers
That the applicant (permit holder) shall abide by the orders of the administration and other LEAs
The organiser shall be personally responsibel to ensure that the timings are strictly adhered to and that the situation remains normal
The programme will end latest 6:30pm
The organiser shall have to do video recording of the political gathering and hand it over to the district administration
The violation of this permission whereof shall be seriously viewed and action will be taken against the organisers within the relevant laws
The organiser will be held responsible for the violation of terms and conditions of the NOC

Paki Journo Has A Few Words Of Advice For The Paki Govt .

Prosperity For Peace
Khaled Ahmed
Indian Express
A British think tank has noted that Pakistan’s army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, “invited the Indian military attaché and his team in Pakistan to the Pakistan Day military parade in Islamabad; and then General Bajwa said two weeks later that the Pakistan military wanted peace and dialogue with India”.
There is no doubt about the wisdom — which is another name for strategic flexibility — of seeking peace with neighbours. An economically pressured Pakistan simply can’t afford to have its fronts heating up east and west while there is instability within. In the eyes of the world, however, Pakistan must take the initiative because the world rightly or wrongly thinks that Pakistan, as a “revisionist” state, has bothered India with covert cross-border attacks. There are no takers for Pakistan’s explication of the disastrous Kargil Operation of 1999.
General Bajwa must retrace other missteps taken at home with those who sought to “normalise” relations with India, starting with the Vajpayee visit in 1999 that ended with a joint Lahore Declaration signed with then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, which the then army chief Pervez Musharraf didn’t like too much. Earlier, it was the PPP which sought a policy change with India and suffered for it. On the eve of the 2013 election, Sharif and his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, declared their intent to seek peace with India and won the election, which meant a popular mandate for the pledged India policy. The army didn’t like that and Sharif as prime minister was soon in trouble.
It is only logical that General Bajwa undoes some of the policies pursued inland before approaching India, if only for the sake of credibility. So far, India has rebuffed his gesture and the world too is unimpressed.
Given this scenario, the Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria, is doing his duty of focusing on optimism. He was at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry that had responded positively to Sharif’s call for open trade with India. He knew his government was harassing Pakistani diplomats in New Delhi to highlight its unhappiness over Kashmir. So Bisaria zeroed in on “the traders on both sides of the Indo-Pak border who face visa issues, which is among the reasons why the two sides have failed to actualise the potential of $30-billion trade mark estimated by the World Bank”. He was unhappy that given the potential, the two countries were officially trading only $2.2 billion. Bisaria pointed to 70 years of bilateral conflict that had brought no good to the region.
He made a similar spiel in Karachi as well !
There is no doubt that Pakistan is under pressure to normalise relations with its neighbours. Going against its martial grain of “Castle Pakistan”, it has allowed the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to puncture its territory and has not yet weighed the changes this has the potential to bring about. While it is true that New Delhi has rebuffed China’s offer to join the CPEC, India’s new-found anti-China “adjustment” with a mercurial President Trump may not last.
Trade puts an end to war because of the vested interest in mutual prosperity. Nothing destroys borders more effectively than free trade, which Pakistan and India should move to as nuclear powers no longer able to wage war. Maybe the process of “becoming like the enemy you hate” in India will come to an end and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s original instinct of economic advantage will prevail.

Pakistan bars U.S. diplomat from leaving amid tense relations - media
ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistani authorities have barred a U.S. diplomat involved in a fatal traffic accident from leaving the country, forcing an American military aircraft flown in for his departure to leave without him, local media reported on Saturday.
The move came a day after Pakistan said it would restrict the movements of all American diplomats in the country in response to Washington's similar restrictions on Pakistani embassy diplomats.
A spokesman for the U.S. embassy in Islamabad declined to comment on the media reports, and a U.S. State Department spokesperson in Washington would neither confirm nor deny them. "For the privacy and security of those involved, we cannot disclose the diplomat's current location," the State Department spokesperson said. Pakistan is a crucial link to supplying American troops fighting the Taliban in neighbouring Afghanistan. But Washington has long believed it actually shelters the Taliban's leaders, and President Donald Trump has cut off military aid in an effort to pressure Pakistan.
The latest blow to relations came on Saturday, when Pakistani authorities banned a U.S. military attache from leaving as planned, Pakistan's The Nation and Express Tribune newspapers reported.
A day earlier, an Islamabad court had ruled his diplomatic immunity may not apply in the April 7 traffic accident in which the U.S. attache's vehicle hit a motorcycle, killing the 22-year-old driver, both papers reported. [L3N1RL0CW]
As a result, a U.S. Air Force C130 flown in to Pakistan's Nur Khan air base outside Islamabad was forced to leave without him on Friday, Geo TV and the two newspapers reported.

CJP Nisar -Budge Bahadur's Left One and Only - orders PIA to remove Markhor portrait

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has stopped Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from changing the national carrier's livery.

Last month, PIA introduced a new livery with its logo and design to include a painting of the Markhor, the national animal, which inhabits the mountainous regions of Pakistan.

Managing Director PIA appeared before the Supreme Court on Sunday in suo motu case pertaining to the losses incurred during the past 10 years.

The CJP asked the official about the expenses for livery change. To this query, MD said approximately Rs2.7 million will be spent on one plane.

CJP Nisar then remarked that according to his information it would cost Rs3.4 million. He then directed the managing director to submit a complete report in this regard also informing the court who was awarded the contract.

Rahamalama [score hidden] 4 hours ago*

From an Islamic aspect, one shouldn't participating in another religions religious rituals/festivals.

It is haraam for a Muslim to accept invitations on such occasions, because this is worse than congratulating them as it implies taking part in their celebrations.

Similarly, Muslims are forbidden to imitate the kuffaar by having parties on such occasions, or exchanging gifts, or giving out sweets or food, or taking time off work, etc., because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyah said in his book Iqtidaa’ al-siraat al-mustaqeem mukhaalifat ashaab al-jaheem: "Imitating them in some of their festivals implies that one is pleased with their false beliefs and practices, and gives them the hope that they may have the opportunity to humiliate and mislead the weak."

-Pakistan is the "legitimate father" of the Indus Valley Civilization
-Pakiland is the "legit owner" of the Kohinoor Diamond ( legal claim under process !)
-Pakistan is a "proud custodian " of the Gandhara Civilization. ( The Bamian Buddhist Statues were blown by the Wahabi Saudis ! and their Taliban allies!)
- Pakistan' s national language is Urdu , therefore it "respectfully demands" the return of the only known photu of the "Father Of The Urdu Language - Mirza Ghalib- ji from the Govt Of India. If the "request" is not complied within the next 60 days, the matter will be referred to the International Court Of Justice at the Hague !

Tweet War Has Started Between The Kaptaan And The Daughter Of Ganja Sharif

‘My name is Khan and I am a stooge’, Maryam Nawaz responds to Imran Khan’s post-bail tweet
LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former PM’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz has maintained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was bailed by an anti-terrorism court only due to favouritism.“I am a ladla [favourite] of the law because I abide by it,” said the PTI chief on Tuesday after an Islamabad court accepted Imran’s bail appeal in all four cases regarding an attack on Pakistan Television (PTV) headquarters in 2014.
“The decision proves that I am sadiq (truthful) and ameen (righteous), not a terrorist,” Imran Khan told the media outside the court after the ruling.
The PTI leader is one of the accused in the four cases related to the 2014 attack that took place during the party’s dharna in the capital. Khan, in December 2017, had moved the court for the case to be transferred to a civil court, but his request had been turned down.Later, on Twitter, Khan reiterated that he was “not a terrorist” and was going to go after “the crooks”.
Earlier, in a sarcastic tweet, she alleged that the courts bailed Imran Khan because “he is judiciary’s ‘laadla’ (darling).”
In an earlier tweet, Maryam Nawaz also condemned media reports about Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif’s visits to Saudi Arabia, by saying that they were “lies.”
“How many lies will you spew? You have to answer to God too,” she posted on Twitter.
Ousted premier Nawaz Sharif and Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif met with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman (MBS) late Monday night, according to reports. This is in Jan 2018 !
Punjab government spokesperson Mohammad Ahmed Khan also denied the allegations about the Sharifs’ Saudi Arabia visit, as “baseless.” He said that it is an honour for the CM to have an aircraft sent from Saudi Arabia for his visit, as the country is a tried and tested ally of Pakistan, adding that the friendly ties between the two countries cannot be broken by any “negative propaganda.”
If the "esteemed daughter" of Ganja Sharif wants to gain traction of her "dad's party" in the upcoming general election, she should take a "leaf out of Maulana Diesel's Election Book " and start hitting Imran, below his shalwar  Bring up his "taste" for Jewish Ayeshas ie make Jemima ( and through her) Israel, targets of attack and somehow connect Imran to it . Bound to "play well" in the Conspiracy Theory environment of Pakiland
For "good measure" she should "throw in" some choice comments ( in Punjabi for maximum effect :D ) about the embattled Peerni

And Here Is The CJP Denying That He Is Playing Favourites !!!

Imran Khan is not our ‘Ladla’, clarifies CJP
ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday asserted that the Supreme Court does not favour Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in any way, rejecting the claims of ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N). The CJP, while hearing the Bani Gala encroachment case, said that the apex court has not given the PTI chief any concession at any point.

I am convinced this dimwit is a narcissistic idiot.

Nawaz Sharif is modern-day Mir Jafar: Imran Khan
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman (PTI) Imran Khan on Sunday took an exception to ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif's remarks about Mumbai attacks which he made in an interview with a leading English daily, calling him modern-day Mir Jafar.
"Nawaz Sharif is the modern-day Mir Jafar, who collaborated with the British to enslave his nation for personal gains. Nawaz speaking Modi's language against Pak State simply to protect his ill-gotten Rs 300b stashed in his sons companies abroad," said he.
He said Sharif is not only willing to destroy all institutions, including army, NAB and Supreme Court, but also the future of the country in order to protect his "wrondoings".

Squeeze-me Sherry!

Nawaz Sharif has endorsed Narendra Modi's narrative: Sherry Rehman
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and PML-N founder Nawaz Sharif has endorsed the anti-Pakistan narrative of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to his controversial statement about the Mumbai terror attacks, said Senator Sherry Rehman on Sunday.
“Questions are being raised about Pakistan at the international level owing to Nawaz Sharif’s statement”
Why didn’t he tell that India had failed to cooperate with Pakistan about the Mumbai terror attacks?
Pakistan is a peaceful democratic country and our party will fight the case of Pakistan at the international level,” she said.
Nawaz Sharif, she said, was behaving like a think-tank.

It does not take away from the fact that "non-state" actors from bakiland were responsible for the Mumabi carnage, does it?

Don’t just take selfies with Imran Khan, vote him to power: Sheikh Rasheed :rotfl:
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has called on the people of Karachi to support Imran Khan in the next elections for the sake of “Pakistan and Islam.
He said that Karachi belongs to Pakistan and that it was not someone’s private property.
If we have to save Pakistan, Imran Khan is the last option  and we need to make sure he is voted to power,” he said.
How does Waist Bajwa feel about this statement? Hain?
