This is RT’s feed now up on youtube. Try to watch it in HD, if you can.

Start at the 01.22.00 mark. Here is where Putin leaves the review stand for the last time to walk down the street to the ceremony area.

At 01.22.10 Putin motions to Vucic to join him in the walk. The nut© is already with Putin.

At 01.22.22 a brief melee where a very old one star general is shuffled out of the way. Putin then stops and goes over to the elderly general, has a brief chat then invites him to join in the walk. This I think is a jab at Trump.

At 01.23.02 the front line is, l to r, Vucic, Serbia’s President, Putin, the elderly general and The nut©. Behind the elderly general is Shoygu.

At 01.24.45 Vucic is motioned forward by Putin. Up to this point from the previous marker the elderly general and Putin have chatted. Vucic has generally stayed back from the front row while The nut© has more or less been right on top of the elderly general. Here Putin and Vucic start to chat a bit. Both Vucic and his interpreter were not expecting this interaction.

At 01.26.07 Vucic has dropped back a couple of steps and The nut© looks around for his own interpreter.

At 01.26.17, The nut© starts talking across the elderly general to Putin.

At 01.26.26 Putin and The nut© are now conversing through The nut©'s interpreter. There is a stern look on The nut© face.

At 01.26.28/29 The nut© appears to say fūck

At 01,26.33 Putin is smiling, Shoygu and Vucic also are cracking a smile having trouble believing what they are hearing. The elderly general maintains his stoic position beside Putin at all times. And the blood is starting to boil in The nut©.

At 01.26.35 The nut© appears to say bullßhït

At 01.26.48 The nut© is clearly issuing a threat to Putin, even though Putin has just displayed open arms to The nut©. There is a look of disbelief throughout on the face of The nut©s interpreter’s face.

At 01.26.50 The nut© appears to say fück you.

Note throughout these exchanges the growing hostility on The nut© face whereas it appears comical to the others.

What I see hear is a B grade street hussler trying a hussle at a trolley stop in North Philly.

No wonder he got nowhere with Putin in their meeting latter that day.

And I wager he said nothing to Putin about the impending attack he was planning on Syria either.
Do you write fiction? You just made such a big incident out of nothing. :rotfl:

Professors who are predicting that putin will abandon Iran and Syria are dead wrong. Here is my prediction . Wait for the world cup to be over and more fireworks are on the menu.

And the professors who are saying that Russia is israel,s friend know very little about history or Russia. One more thing Russian history has shown that Russia can take a lot of punches but what matters is who delivers the knockout punch. I am sure you know the history of Napoleon, Stalingrad and many more.

Israeli Intelligence Officers Singing Persian Song In Leaked Viral Video Exposes Identities
week prior to last Thursday's military escalation which started in the Golan but ended with Israel launching a massive missile attack on Damascus, the video of a performance by about 50 new graduates of an Israeli military intelligence language course appeared on Israeli social media, a course wherein Israeli Defense Forces personnel learn Farsi (or alternately called Persian).
Looks like these not so intelligent officers wont be doing any field work until their plastic surgeons do their handiwork.

Massive Palestinian protests at USA embassy re-locating to Jerusalem results in 18 deaths. Trump's move is inflaming the Palestinians who are increasing their protests by the day.

US embassy in Jerusalem opening - LIVE: Israeli forces kill at least 18 Palestinian protesters, say Gaza health reports

[quote]
At least 18 Palestinian have been killed and more than 500 others wounded in protests at the border fence between the Gaza Strip and Israel on the same day the US fulfils its controversial promise to recognise the disputed city of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital by moving its embassy there from Tel Aviv.

Thousands of demonstrators set fire to tyres and sent thick plumes of black smoke into the air to deter Israeli snipers at several spots, while the Israeli military said the protests were being used as cover for attacks and assaults on the border fence.

It was the deadliest single day of protests since the Palestinians began staging weekly border demonstrations on 30 March in an attempt to break an Israeli-Egyptian blockade.

The Israeli military has said troops shot and killed three Palestinians who were trying to place an explosive device by the border fence in Gaza during mass protests.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza said at least 18 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire.

In a separate incident, the army said an Israeli aircraft bombed a Hamas military post in the northern Gaza Strip after Israeli troops came under fire. No Israeli casualties were reported.

The Israeli military said over 35,000 protesters are taking part in demonstrations at 12 points along the Gaza border.

The Saudis have been bought over by Israels/US on Palestinian issue and by extension of Saudi the Sunni Ummah or Opec.

The new Prince of Saudi and his recent statement on Israel reflects that in as much in word and in deed .....Palestinian has been left to fend for themself and at best expect help from Iran/Hizb

This was so well written by someone on U tube that I am posting it here.

Historian Chalmers Johnson explains, “Blowback is another way of saying that a Country reaps what it Sows.”
“We The People” continue reaping what the American Government has sown. The American Citizenry suffer the Blowback and unintended consequences every time, directly and indirectly. The American Government nor the Political Indentured Servants on Capitol Hill (nor the Electorate they continuously make Fools out of) couldn't possibly bring themselves to learn from their own failures, bunglings, and strategic blunders since they would bear responsibility for their own complicity.

We’re made to pay Trillions of Dollars in Blood Money to a Military Industrial Complex that kills without conscience. We’ve been saddled with a cesspool of Trillions of Debt, crumbling Infrastructure, impoverished Cities and a faltering Economy while our Tax Dollars are squandered on lavish Military Installations and used to prop up Foreign Economies. We’ve been stripped of our Freedoms. We’re treated like Suspects and Enemy Combatants. We’re spied on by Government Agents, our Communications Read, our Movements Tracked, our Faces Mapped, our Biometrics entered into a Government Database. We’re terrorized by Militarized Police who roam our communities and SWAT teams that break into our homes. We’re subjected to Invasive Patdowns in airports, Roadside Strip Searches and Cavity Probes, Forced Blood Draws.
This is how Tyranny rises and Freedom falls...
The American Electorate brainwashes themselves that Life is still good, that America is still Beautiful, and that “We The People” are still Free. They're too arrogant, belligerent, and ignorant to see what's blatantly staring them in the face, nor learn or study History.

The book 'Battlefield America: The War on the American People', the moment you tune out the carefully Constructed Distractions—the year-round Sports Entertainment, the Political Theatrics, the Military’s War Cries, the President’s Chest-thumping, and the Techno-Gadgets and Social Media that keep the Electorate oblivious to the American Plutocracy alongside the Corporate Media's collective complicity—One quickly finds the credible threat to our Liberty, Safety, and National Security is the American Government itself.
Science fiction writer Philip K. Dick warned, “Don’t believe what you see; it’s an enthralling—[and] destructive, evil snare, under it is along the linear axis.” Our American Government serves they care about, the American Citizenry are no part of that. The interests of the Deep State, the Military Industrial Complex, and Corporate America are their only priority.

America couldn't possibly be a Free, Sovereign, or Secure Country as long as the American Government continues to Pillage, Plunder, Bomb, Bulldoze, Create Instability, and Fund Insurgencies and Police the World. All I ask the American Citizenry is, HOW'S THAT ALL WORKING OUT FOR YOU?!

Sadr is firstly Sadr's man and a proud Iraqi. He will not kowtow to Iran but being a Shiite wary of MBS and the Wahaabis. How he will steer a course for Iraq while the US are still in the country remains to be seen.Iraq requires a lot of cash for development, reconstruction and generating employment. That requires control of their oil to generate their own income.Otherwise they will have to depend upon their wealthy Sunni neighbours and the West.

Where’s MBS? Media speculates about possible death of Saudi crown prince
RIYADH – The apparent disappearance of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from the public eye has led several Iranian and Russian media outlets to wonder if one of the most powerful men in the kingdom might’ve been killed during an attempted coup last month
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was allegedly hit by two bullets during the April 21 attack on the royal palace in Riyadh and may actually be dead as he has not appeared in public since the incident, Kayhan newspaper reports citing “a secret service report sent to the senior officials of an unnamed Arab state.” If MBS is indeed dead , what about personal bodyguard ( and muscle ) Raheel Sharif . Has he also become a Shaheed too . Just until last month, he was enjoying himself in La-Whore , and dancing himself to a Bollywood tune. Occasion : His son got hitched
No new photo or video of bin Salman has been released by Saudi state media since that incident, which happened just after the young heir to the throne wrapped up a whirlwind global tour meant to advertise himself as the new power in the kingdom.Bin Salman was not even seen on camera when new US Secretary of State Mike Popmeo paid his maiden visit to Riyadh in late April. Saudi society has always been secretive. Too many Palace Intrigues ! Too many factions . If he is indeed dead, what will happen to his "grand plans" to modernize Saudia ( and Malsi !)
Some sources claimed that the attack on April 21 was part of a coup led by Saudi royals who are opposed to King Salman, while other reports indicated that the shooting occurred when the palace guards targeted a small drone which came too close to Salman’s residence.Saudi activists said that the shooting had nothing to do with the drone, but it was an attack from vehicles carrying heavy machine guns and shooting randomly. Amreeki CIA must be active "behind the scene". Too much is at stake here
Saudi opposition groups also suggest that the April shooting had forced Bin Salman to ban the royal family members from leaving the country for fear that his cousin and former crown prince, Muhammad bin Nayef, would try to topple him. In addition to the internal power struggle within the royal family, Bin Nayef and Mutab Bin Abdullah, son of a late king, both were dissatisfied with Saudi-led aggression against Yemen and siege of Qatar.
Hope Raheel does not become collateral damage
Although there has always been competition from within the royal family, and criticism of its behaviour from outside, the approximately 15,000 princes and princesses and their hangers-on were widely seen as untouchable.Bin Salman possesses a deep desire for power. But he also has little experience, which some consider to be a potentially dangerous combination. The reckless crown prince has offended the Muslim nations by repeatedly taking an anti-Palestinian stance.. The warming of Riyadh-Tel Aviv relations has gathered pace since June 2017, when bin Salman became the crown prince. In recent months, the kingdom has been gradually softening its public posture toward Israel in what analysts describe as an attempt by Riyadh to prepare public opinion at home and elsewhere for potential normal relations with Israel.Last November, Lebanon’s al-Akhbar daily published a secret undated letter from Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir to bin Salman, in which he outlined a roadmap for normalizing ties with Israel with the ultimate goal of uniting against Iran, their common enemy.Bin Salman in March during his three-week tour of the United States also met with leaders of a number of pro-Israeli lobbying groups, including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).Bin Salman during the US visit also said that Palestinians should either accept peace proposals or “shut up.”
The remarks caused a storm of fury among Muslim nations.Bin Salman is a close friend of US President Donald Trump’s aide and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
IMO, the Saudis or for that matter the Arab World is ready for "accepting" Israel . Time will tell though !

The machine behind SA is Wahabbi, the bobos have been ruthless from day one going as farr as to destroy anyone who stands in the way including any historic shrines/communities in arabia. Their singular ruthlessness cant be challenged by the Sauds, they have to play second fiddle or face the consequences.

Saudi Crown Prince MBS posts recent photo on social media after Russian media’s speculations about his ‘death’
RIYADH – The apparent disappearance of Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, from the public eye has set the tongues wagging with several Iranian and Russian media outlets speculating that the Saudi royal might have been killed.According to a report by Iranian newspaper Kayhan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman was allegedly hit by two bullets during the April 21 attack on the royal palace in Riyadh and may actually be dead. The leading daily cited “a secret service report sent to the senior officials of an unnamed Arab state” to bolster its claims about the status of the most powerful Saudi man.
Additionally, to give credence to its sensational disclosure, the paper said that Bin Salman was not even seen on camera when new US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo paid his maiden visit to Riyadh in late April, though Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir were photographed. Besides the Tehran-based papers, some Russian media outlets also alluded to the possible ‘killing’ of Mohammed bin Salman, however, the reports have now been proven unfounded and baseless.
The Saudi press Agency released a fresh picture of 32-year-old Saudi Crown Prince, confirming that MBS was alive, hale and hearty, in the wake of the speculative media campaign.
Through a tweet posted in the wee hours of Friday, the official press agency released a picture of MBS in which he can be seen with Abdel Egyptian President Fattah el-Sisi and leaders of Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
Publishing a picture will not quash this rumour !

Coming back to Saudi Arabia, there is extreme friction within the ruling family now, with many openly demanding a coup...this is unprecedented and in line with the recent developments.
I am still curious....where is MBS ??

Saudi "Palace Intrigues" In Full Swing

Call for coup in Saudi: Dissident prince urges uncles to seize power
DUSSELDORF, Germany - A dissident Saudi prince has called on his uncles to depose King Salman and take over the country. Prince Khaled bin Farhan made the appeal to Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz and Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, saying that the damage being done to the Saudi royal family and the kingdom by Salman’s “irrational, erratic and stupid” rule had gone beyond the point of no-return. In an interview with Middle East Eye, Prince Khaled, who was given political asylum in Germany in 2013, said that if Ahmed and Muqrin were to unite ranks then “99 percent of the members of the royal family, the security services and the army would stand behind them”. 'I seize this opportunity to appeal to my uncles Ahmed and Muqrin, who are the sons of bin Abdulaziz… to do something to change things for the better'. Prince Khaled is a distant member of the Saudi royal family. But Riyadh is sensitive to any member breaking ranks, however distant he may be to the line of succession, and has tried to lure him back. The prince said that recent statements by Mamduh bin Abdulaziz, one of the eldest surviving brothers of King Salman, indicated wider resentment within the family as a whole.
At risk, is the "bread and winner" of these 100's ( if not 1000's) of Prince and Princelings , who get their ration of daily, weekly and monthly "bread" in the form of extravagant "allowances", without doing a single day of (physical or mental ) work , thanks to Allah who has blessed the Land Of The Sand with Liquid Gold ( AKA oil )
“There is so much anger within the royal family,” Prince Khaled said, “I took this information and appeal to my uncles Ahmed and Muqrin, who are the sons of bin Abdulaziz and are highly educated, well versed and able to change things for the better. I can say that we are all behind them and support them.” Why is he making this "appeal" from foreign soil. Finding it hard to "maintain" his standard of living now
Ahmed Abdulaziz, a former deputy minister of interior and minister of the interior, retains the support of important sections of the security forces and the tribes, the prince said. Muqrin bin Abdulaziz was initially appointed crown prince by his brother Salman, only to be replaced by Muhammed bin Nayef in April 2015: he in turn was replaced by current incumbent Mohammed bin Salman, sometimes known as MBS, in June 2017. Prince Khaled said he had received a large number of emails from people within the police and army in support of his call. “I perceived from them that they are appealing, rather than demanding, to Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz to take an initiative to change the current situation.” Somewhat like the Brits, too many "royal" connections ( "bin" this and "bin" that  ) to keep a proper track of "who is in" and "who is out" of royal favour at a particular time !
The call for a coup comes as mystery continues about bursts of heavy gunfire which were heard outside the king’s Ouja palace in Riyadh in April. The official explanation was that security guards had shot down “a toy drone”.But the anonymous Saudi blogger Mujtahidd said that the palace had been attacked by heavy guns mounted on two SUVs, during which six security staff and two assailants were killed. Saudia is a very secretive state . Till date, MBS has not shown his face for "reassurance" ( "old" photus were shown as "proof" ) nor there is word of the Paki Raheel , who, is the muscle behind MBS- the jernail for hire !
Prince Khaled said the drone was a cover story which defied logic. “I personally believe that this was not necessarily an attempt to bring down Mohammed bin Salman but rather an act of protest against him.” But he warned that if MBS stayed in power then upheaval would follow. “I would like to say to the Europeans that the situation in Saudi Arabia resembles a volcano that is about to erupt. If it erupts, it will affect not only the situation inside Saudi Arabia or in the Arab region but it will have an effect on you too.”Saudi is a combustible mixture of different generations, tribes, regions and Wahhabism. If a coup was started outside the royal family, then the kingdom with its strict Wahhabi interpretation of Islam, could easily become a centre for international terrorism, he said. Maybe, the Saudi momeen are very upset at the ( new and Unislamic !) direction that MBS is taking the Land Of The Sand and maybe, some factions of the Religious Wahabis are registering their protest by doing this "coup thing"
Prince Khaled said that there are terrorist sleeper cells within Saudi Arabia and that the Wahhabi ideology is a radical ideology. It was these Islamists, he said, who most frighten Europeans and Americans. "So, if Saudi Arabia descends into a state of chaos, there will be global chaos, and it [Saudi Arabia] will be a source of terrorism for the entire world as it will support and sustain international terrorism."
Nothing new here. It is an "open secret" that Saudia , along with Islamic Ally Pakistan, is the fountainhead of International Terrorism . After all , did not most of the 9/11 hijackers came from the Land Of The Sand ? And was not 9/11 planned with the "technical support" of Pakis like Omar Saeed Sheikh and Lt-Gen Mahmud Ahmed of Pakistan Army
Prince Khaled belongs to the al Farhan branch of the Saudi royal family. It dates back to the 18th century, when Farhan was one of the three brothers of Muhammad bin Saud, from who Abdulaziz, the major branch of the family, descended. The rift began after Khaled’s father, who became known as the Red Prince, advocated a constitutional monarchy. Senior members of the royal family have attempted to lure the dissident prince back to Saudi in order to silence him. One of them offered him a seat in his private plane when on an official visit to Germany, an offer he declined.
Palace intrigues once again !!
Prince Khaled was granted political asylum within two months of arriving by the German authorities, such was their assessment of the danger of abduction. He has also been told by German intelligence that his security outside the country cannot be guaranteed, even if he travels within the EU.The prince, who said he is in regular touch with other princes in Saudi, describes the royal family as being in a state of shock at the arrest, detention and mistreatment of senior princes, such as Muqrin, during the purge ordered by King Salman and his son Mohammed in late 2017. It was a shock for the entire family because prominent figures in the family were detained, in a way that held a great deal of humiliation. It was a shock for the entire family. The family is now facing the undermining of its standing in the eyes of the people. And this will inevitably undermine its legitimacy."Prince Khaled said that the anti-corruption campaign was politically motivated to remove any challenge from more senior, experienced and legitimate rivals.
Maybe, there are other prince and princelings cooling their heels in various cities of Europe and USA , mainly because their "allowances" have been "adjusted" by MBS and they are not happy about it !
MBS has had a heady rise to power during the past year, but Prince Khaled said that for many years he was an ordinary member of the family and that as a youth he suffered from “psychological problems". “I wouldn’t say he was violent," Prince Khaled said, "but when he was younger, in the royal family, he didn’t have status. He was an ordinary member of the family. His brothers had higher positions, and they had a voice within the Saudi ruling elite. Of course, his cousins were older, more experienced, better positioned, more educated and everything else. "So I think he developed psychological problems, because one of his cousins whom he arrested, when he would meet him, he [Mohammed bin Salman] would have to ask for an appointment, and maybe the prince would meet him, or maybe not. So this created within him a psychological problem and today he is taking his revenge against his cousins."
And of course, he had the temerity to "break bread" with the "hated jews" and that too in their "Headquarters" of New York City
Saudi claims to have netted $100bn from the 300-plus people who were detained at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Riyadh in late 2017. But even after their release, Prince Khaled said, the former detainees were not free men: instead they have monitoring devices fitted to their legs, their mobiles phones monitored and are banned from travelling outside the kingdom. “So they live in a very humiliating situation," he observed. Under normal circumstances, the prince said, he would commend some of the reforms introduced by MBS, including allowing women to drive and restricting the influence of religious authorities.
But he described these moves as palliatives intended to appease the West, ignoring that the real problem in Saudi is the political system, in which the king has absolute powers to appoint judges, members of the Shura Council and the government itself.
Since the last time I checked there was no distinction between the finances of the Saudi State and the finances of the Saudi Royal Family ( which consists of thousands of hangers on !). The Saudi oil revenues was used a personal ATM by the Saudi King and others !
“The make-up of the state will constantly change with the personality of the king," Prince Khaled said. "Where is the strategic plan for the state? We need to have a clear goal that we’re working towards. And it’s the role of the king to come up with a tactical plan to help us enact these strategies. "But, with the way we’re going, our country will be late reaching them. We’re already late. We use to think that we had financial assets and educated individuals, but unfortunately the situation right now is taking us back years." 'We use to think that we had financial assets and educated individuals, but unfortunately the situation right now is taking us back years' The kingdom’s political system, Prince Khalid said, represented the will of the king and no one else: when there is a new king, everything changes.
It is often said ( maybe in jest !) that the Saudi King makes important decisions oo many State Matters on how he feels on that particular day ! ( Eg. Musharaf "sweet talked" King Abdullah in making him part with between 5 and 10 million dollars on the strength of Ummah Brotherhood and maybe the "off the shelf" purchase of the Islami Bum ! )
Saudi, he noted, may be one of the biggest states in the Middle East with a population of more than 30 million, may be a member of the G20, may be the largest exporter of oil in the world, may be the holder of the second largest reserves of oil on the planet, may have a right of veto in the IMF - but the state itself is nothing more than an embodiment of the reigning king. The prince admitted to a personal grudge against King Salman, who as the Emir of Riyadh had wielded power in family affairs. He called Salman a racist, saying he had forced the prince’s father to divorce his Egyptian wife and Khaled’s sister to divorce her Kuwaiti husband.
Palace intrigues part 2
While the kingdom was a dictatorship before Salman acceded to the throne, Prince Khalid said, at least positions of power were shared out: today, that power is concentrated in the hands of one person. What about the recent statement from bin Salman, that only death would stop him from ruling for 50 years? “I would like to ask him a question through you,” Prince Khaled said. “Has he signed a contract with God that he would be allowed to live 50 years? How can he guarantee that?”
One day you are in - if your MAN is King . Next day , you are out , if a new man comes in

Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Death Rumors Hit The Web
Recent rumors that Muhammad bin Salman, the Saudi Crown Prince is dead have been circulating online after an attempted coup last month.
The death rumors regarding Muhammad bin Salman have been due to the fact that he has not appeared in public since the April 21 attack on the royal palace in Riyadh. Whether the Saudi Crown Prince is dead remains to be seen, but Kayhan newspaper has cited “a secret service report sent to the senior officials of an unnamed Arab state.”

It’s important to note that no new photo or video of Muhammad bin Salman has been released by Saudi authorities since the day of the attack and the prince “was not even seen on camera when new US Secretary of State Mike Pompey made his maiden visit to Riyadh in Late April,” reports Press TV..

The death rumors come after Muhammad bin Salman was allegedly hit by two bullets during the attack on the palace.

“Bin Salman was a man who almost often appeared before the media but his 27-day absence since the gunfire in Riyadh has raised questions about his health,” the Fars news agency remarks.

n a rare incident, Riyadh’s ruler Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz attended a cadet ceremony of Malik Abdulaziz Officer Academy instead of Bin Salman, the crown prince and defence minister of the Arab country.

No reason has been given yet by Saudi Arabia on the absence of the crown prince from the ceremony which should normally be held with defence minister in attendance.

MBS .Dead or alive the KSA is in for its roughest patch ever since the assault on Mecca by pro-Iranian militants in an attempt to seize the Grand Mosque.

It was inevitable that there would be attempts to exterminate him after he treated his fellow royal tribals
In such a humiliating manner.Revenge must be on the minds of many disgraced royals and put her civil servants and uniformed military men.

"Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown", saith the Bard.
Very true.....

Phillip,

All these rumors drive up price of oil due to instability which is good for ARAMCO IPO which the KSA hopes will be $1T IPO.

Yemen: After UAE, Saudi deploys troops to Socotra island.
The news coming after deployment of US Special Forces against Houthis shows how the fight in the region is expected to intensify & complicate further. The move is also aimed to restrain Iran's activities in the region.

Inside Yemen's secret prisons: 'We could hear the screams' http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nati ... story.html
they call it the "grill": The victim is tied to a spit like a roast and spun furiously within a circle of fire. It is just one of the terrors inflicted by interrogators on detainees in Yemen who are routinely beaten with wires, kept in filthy shipping containers, and blindfolded for months — all by one of America's closest counterterrorism allies.

Abuse and torture are routine in a network of secret prisons across southern Yemen where hundreds are detained in the hunt for al-Qaida militants, an Associated Press investigation has found. The network is run by the United Arab Emirates and by Yemeni forces it created, with at least 18 lock-ups hidden away in military bases, air and seaports, the basements of private villas and even a nightclub, according to accounts from former detainees, families of prisoners, civil rights lawyers and Yemeni military officials.

American defense officials confirmed Wednesday that U.S. forces have interrogated some detainees in Yemen but denied any participation in or knowledge of human rights abuses. The American officials confirmed that the U.S. provides questions to the Emiratis and receives transcripts of their interrogations. A Yemeni witness of American interrogations also told the AP that no torture took place during those sessions where he was present.

Still, the American role raises potential concerns about violations of international law. Obtaining intelligence that may have been extracted by torture inflicted by another party would violate the International Convention Against Torture, which prohibits complicity, said Ryan Goodman, a law professor at New York University who served as special counsel to the Defense Department until last year.

Rumours Of MBS Death Gain Momentum On Social Media !

#DeathofCrownPrince hashtag goes Viral in Kingdom
21 May, 2018
RIYADH - Unofficial reports on the death of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman after the last month coup have gathered pace after his month-long absence from the public as Hashtag وفاة_ولی_العهد (#Death-of-Crown-Prince) has gone viral in the country suggesting that the prince has succumbed to his injuries sustained during the coup.
Bin Salman has not been seen in the public since April 21 attack on his palace in Riyadh which has raised speculations about his injury and death. 30 days without publicity is not normal for this publicity hungry King to be of Saudia !
Yousef al-Hazeri, an Arab social media activist, wrote in his twitter account that "if bin Salman's death is true, it means that Trump has this time used up the milking cow just like a traveling shampoo and threw it into the sinkhole". With him gone, so is his vision for a less- religious like Saudia - sort of a "second Dubai"
Meantime, Rashed al-Dosari, another activist, confirmed bin Salman's death, saying although a reliable source in the royal family has confirmed his death, we are still waiting for the King himself to confirm or deny the report".
Saudi Arabia is a opaque and secretive society . Nothing will be officially confirmed . The truth may never come out !
Also, Khalid Arash asked why no one has seen Mohammed bin Salman since clashes erupted between the security forces and unknown assailants at the palace if reports about his death are not true.Moheb al-Nabi va Al-e Baiteh al-Athar wrote, "Since reports leaked on the death of bin Salman, a number of princes, ministers and Saudi figures have been detained and the Saudi officials are in panic over #وفاة_ولی_العهد going viral by social media activists."
Where is his "muscle man" Raheel Sharif of Pakistan . The Paki Media is careful in not asking about his shenanigans in Saudia . The last time, he was seen was when he was "enjoying" his son's nuptials in his native La-Whore !
Meantime, western analysts and activists have also shown interest in the reports on MBS death, saying that the detention of women's rights activists and the Saudi interior ministry's warning against attempts to disrespect the religious rules about women indicate that reports on bin Salman's death are likely true or he has no more control over his country's political climate.
Kristian Ulrichsen, a Baker Institute fellow for the Middle East, has asked on his twitter page, "Is MBS still in charge? Has he lost control? Where is he?" Gerd Nonneman‏ stated in reply, "Good question. Haven’t seen him featured in some weeks - and the photograph circulated recently of him with Sisi, MBZ & King Hamad could be from anytime in the past year. He didn’t appear for any of the Ramadan events either, which is very odd."
Harb3Imad‏ has also answered Kristian's question by saying that "extremely important questions Kristian. Haven’t heard or seen anything about him in a few days. Did the WSJ article do him in?" Last Thursday, an Iranian daily had reported that bin Salman is likely dead after an assassination attempt on his life last month, claiming intel from the security service of an Arab state.
The Shah tried to "modernize" Malsi. And failed. Now MBS was trying to do the same in Sunni Saudia . He too, appears to be a casualty if the above rumours are correct !
According to the Persian-language newspaper, Keyhan, a secret service report sent to the senior officials of an unnamed Arab state disclosed that bin Salman has been hit by two bullets during the April 21 attack on his palace, adding that he might well be dead as he has never appeared in the public ever since.Heavy gunfire was heard near the Saudi King's palace in Riyadh Saudi Arabia on April 21, while King Salman was taken to a US bunker at an airbase in the city.
Hope Raheel Sharif makes it back to Pakiland to celebrate Eid !!!
A growing number of videos surfaced the media at the time displaying that a heavy gunfire erupted around King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's palace in the capital, Riyadh.Reports said the king and his son, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, were evacuated to a bunker at an airbase in the city that is under the protection of the US troops.
What are the Paki troops for . Were they not stationed in Saudia to protect the "Head Of The Two Holy Mosque"
While Saudi officials and media were quiet over the incident, there were contradicting reports over the incident. Witnesses and residents of the neighborhoods near the palace said a coup was underway, adding that the soldiers attacking the palace were guided by footage and intel they were receiving from a drone flying over the palace.
Saudi opposition members claimed that "a senior ground force officer has led a raid on the palace to kill the king and the crown prince". More Palace Intrigues . Factions within factions . Hard to say who is with whom . Fluid situation
Videos also showed that a growing number of armored vehicles were deployed around the palace. 'Bin Salman's special guard' then took charge of security in the capital. Riyadh's sky was then closed to all civil and military flights as military helicopters from 'Bin Salman's special guard' were flying over the palace.
Raheel putting his Paki experience to good use !
Bin Salman was a man who almost often appeared before the media but his 27-day absence since the gunfire in Riyadh has raised questions about his health.Saudi Arabia , the world’s top oil exporter, has witnessed a series of radical political changes over the past year as Mohammed bin Salman ousted his cousin as crown prince and jailed well-known princes in an anti-corruption purge. Moreover, bin Salman oversees social and economic reforms that have been censured by several powerful Wahhabi clerics.
MBS must have made a lot of enemies crawling his way to the top of the Saudi power pyramid ! And that is why he "employed" Raheel to watch his back and also conduct the war in Yemen in the guise of Head Of Islamic Coalition Against "Terrorism"
Saudi Arabia is also embroiled in a long running conflict in its Southern neighbor Yemen, dubbed by the United Nations as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. Notably, bin Salman made no media appearance during the April 28 visit of the newly-appointed US State Secretary Mike Pompeo to Riyadh, his first foreign trip as the top US diplomat.During his stay in Riyadh, Saudi media outlets published images of Pompeo’s meetings with King Salman and Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir. This is while the state-run outlets used to publish images of meetings in Riyadh between bin Salman and former US secretary of state Rex Tillerson. A few days after the April 21 incident, Saudi media published footage and images of bin Salman meeting several Saudi and foreign officials. But the date of the meetings could not be verified, so the release of the videos could be aimed at dispelling rumors about bin Salman’s conditions. It is not clear if bin Salman’s disappearance is due to reasons such as him feeling threatened or being injured in the incident.

In what seems to be indicator of worsening situation between Saudi & Qatar: Qtr has asked all shops/plaza & malls to remove goods from countries imposing blockade. This has made availability of grains/cereals & milk even more difficult since Qtr is an isolated island sort of.
Indians based in Qatar live in fear of uncertainity: also there is unreported shortage of cereals, meat & milk kicking in.
Saudi so fas has been happy in bleeding Qtr slowly & surely, their tactics seem to be working. As Qataris & expats have started asking each other if FIFA and other events are possible in such a scenario.
Mean while US lobbyists are taking billions of bribes from both sides to feed good news to Chump

Iran has been supplying these basic foodstuffs to Qatar. none of the GCC countries produce any grains or milk, they are just shipment hubs, so Qatar will either have to import directly or source from Iran.

lifestyles will take some beating but they have the cash in hand and gas reserves to survive. RasGas is a gas giant.

my college room mate works in qatar chemical industry and so far no sign he will move or return.

A bit dated, apologies if posted earlier, loaded with information:https://www.meforum.org/articles/2018/u ... irati-ties
When the UAE came into existence in December 1971, Riyadh achieved its objective of excluding Qatar and Bahrain from the new federal state. Tremendous Saudi pressure forced the UAE to sign the 1974 Treaty of Jeddah that ceded claims to the Khor al-Udaid inland sea that linked it to Qatar. Riyadh refused to recognize the UAE's independence until its president, Zayed bin Sultan, signed the treaty under duress although the UAE has not yet ratified the treaty.[2] When UAE head Khalifa bin Zayed took office in 2004, he visited Riyadh and demanded the treaty's abrogation, ushering in an explosive crisis between the two states that took six years to subside.
Emirati officials viewed the hostile Saudi behavior as another siege: Since its creation, the Emirate has had to grapple with formidable security challenges from both its Arab and Iranian neighbors and has been overburdened with territorial disputes from the beginning. Iran seized the Abu Musa and Lesser and Greater Tumb islands; Oman established its sovereignty over Buraymi Oasis while Saudi Arabia completed the UAE's diminution by cutting it off from Qatar.
The impetus behind the GCC's formation in May 1981 came from Riyadh. Overwhelmed by a Shiite uprising in Qatif in November 1979 and the Great Mosque of Mecca seizure a few weeks later, the Saudi royals concluded that they needed to form a regional body for collective security. The official justification for the move stressed the need for achieving unity of the member states given their similar political, cultural, and religious identity as well as their common goals and aspirations.[6] The real reasons for the GCC's formation, however, lay in the momentous developments in the Middle East during the 1970s. These included the power vacuum in the Gulf attending the departure of the British in December 1971; the isolation of Egypt in the Arab world following President Anwar Sadat's November 1977 Jerusalem visit and the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli peace accord; and the collapse of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi's regime in January 1979.[7] Sensing their vulnerability and inability to influence events around them, the small Gulf states reluctantly agreed to join the Saudi-inspired GCC, hoping to protect themselves against uncertainties rather than accruing gains.[8]
In a few years, the UAE became a rising military power in the Middle East, which enabled it to chart a foreign policy totally independent of its big Saudi brother.[14] Its newly born self-confidence has prodded the Emirate to push for "redrawing its border with Saudi Arabia in the Empty Quarter to include 80 percent of the super-giant Shaybah oil field within its territory.
Yemen is an unsubtle arena of contest between the UAE and its larger neighbor. Riyadh considers preeminence in Yemen vital for its internal stability given that the Shiite Zaydis (to which the Yemeni Houthis belong) are well-established in the Najran and Jizan provinces bordering Yemen. Abu Dhabi regards success in establishing itself in Yemen as a unique opportunity to break the relentless Saudi effort to contain the UAE's ambition to establish itself as a maritime power in the Arabian and Red seas.
The UAE worked to bring the defunct regime of former president Ali Abdullah Salih—before he was killed by the Houthis in December 2017—back to northern Yemen under the leadership of his son Ahmad, who commanded the elite republican guard.[28] It has, moreover, encouraged greater activism by South Yemen's political and military secessionists. The pro-UAE commander of Aden airport security prevented Yemen president Abdrabbuh Hadi's plane from landing in February 2017. A subsequent brief meeting between Hadi and Abu Dhabi's crown prince Muhammad bin Zayed ended in failure when the former mentioned that UAE troops in Yemen were acting like occupiers.[29]

The pro-Emirates Aidarous Zubaidi, sacked as governor of Aden in April 2017, announced less than a month later the formation of a transitional political council to govern south Yemen.[30] His sphere of influence includes the governorates of Hadramaut, Lahj, Shabwa, and Socatra, which are mostly controlled by the UAE and its local allies. A staunch southern Yemeni nationalist, Zubaidi is a former air defense officer who in 1994 fought on the side of the failed separatist attempt to restore the independence of the Aden-based People's Democratic Republic of Yemen. In 1996, he founded Harakat Taqrir al-Masir (Self-determination Movement) that carried out guerrilla attacks against the national army.
His enthusiasm to pull the south out of the union with the north made Zubaidi a natural ally of Abu Dhabi, which is keen on breaking up Yemen. On the one hand, the UAE participates in the Saudi-led Operation Decisive Storm, while on the other, it supported until a few months ago the forces of the Houthis and former Yemeni president Salih.[31] The UAE is interested in administering Aden's strategic port and wants to ensure that it becomes an extension of Dubai and not of a competitor. Its objective of controlling southern Yemen's coastline, which includes the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait connecting the Red Sea with the Arabian Sea, cannot be achieved unless the south secedes from the union.

Rumours Of MBS Death Are Not Unfounded

Has Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman actually been assassinated? Viral photo sparks suspicions
RIYADH – The rumoured assassination of Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman had set the tongues wagging a few days ago after Russian and Iranian media speculated about the possible death of 32-year-old during a coup attempt.
The rumours were sparked once again after a chilling photo stumped the internet allegedly showing MBS (Mohammed bin Salman) being taken for performing his last rituals. The picture shows Saudi bigwigs including Saudi King Salman ‘carrying’ his son.
Image
Where is his "Chief Paki Bodyguard" General Raheel Sharif . Has he "gone" too
Another photo was uploaded on the social media showing a ‘dead’ Saudi royal, stirring concerns that the state’s number two might actually have been killed during the rumoured coup attempt, termed drone scare by the Saudi media in April.
Image
However, to quash the rumours, the royal family of Saudi Arabia has released an official video on Wednesday which shows Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman attending a summit. The video apparently shows Salman greeting Yemeni President Abdrabbo Mansour Hadi in Jeddah to discuss the ongoing Yemen crisis as reported earlier on Al-Arabiya.
Besides the video, another picture has also been provided to the media showing the aspiring Saudi King chairing a meeting of officials.
With the surfacing of the official video, it stands clear that the photos showing a ‘dead’ MBS were doctored.
Someone will blow the lid sooner or later from the secretive "hermit " kingdom ! With MBS "gone" so are his grandiose plans to modernize Saudia and Mali
