The spying by Chinese during Obama Era was so rampant and wide that the joke was Obama was giving Chinese all the technology it wants under the table in guise of spyingAustin wrote:https://www.fifthdomain.com/cyber/2018/ ... gram-data/
The information stolen was stored on the contractor’s unclassified network despite being “highly sensitive nature,” according to information obtained by the Washington Post.
According to the report, 614 gigabytes of material on a closely held project known as Sea Dragon were taken. Contracted for the military organization Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Sea Dragon aims to develop a supersonic anti-ship missile for use on U.S. submarines.

@Singha, that was inspiring. Though Germany is as far away from Cheen as possible. The former is among the greatest TFTA warrior races if not the greatest, the latter builds a lot of stuff but eats lots of rice and mainly shopkeeps, typical SRE.

Akshay Kumar's satirical comedy-drama Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (TEPK), which landed in mainland screens on 8 June, has topped the opening weekend in China box-office with a cumulative three-day gross of $9.05 million (Rs 61.1 crore), holding off competition from Disney/Marvel's blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War, the local smash hit How Long Will I Love U and Jean-Claude Van Damme's action thriller Black Water.

But it won’t hurt them if they don’t have to fight. And in peace time they pay for themselves by providing persistent presence in bodies of water that Cheen wants to create fait accompli.
It is not just destroyers. Their frigate and corvette program are even more insane.
Janes reports their 41st Type 056 corvette to enter service since 2012:
http://www.janes.com/article/80806/imag ... ed-service
And this is their 30th Type 054A frigate since 2008:
For comparison, since 2007 we’ve added 6 Saryu OPVs, 4 Kamorta corvettes and three Talwars frigates. If you’re not keeping count, it’s 71 frigates and corvettes for them to 13 for us over the past decade (and the Saryus are very lightly armed compared to a chini corvette so it is even worse than the numbers.)
The chinis find a design they like and they productionize the sh1t out of it. They not only have more money but they take advantage of long production runs to reduce per unit cost.

More seriously, we should stop comparing ourselves to China. They have 5X larger economy and 3.5X larger defence budget. We should focus on building the right alliances, not matching their ship building pace (since that's not an option).

At the least and most, I clap and wish them well on their continued success.
However I still laugh when they begin with

Ok no more d1ck measuring with ships. I’ll move onto comparing the size of balls with aircraft . . .
But you know, if Cheen had stayed Maoist and shitpoor like they were in the 1970s then we would have been happy being shitpoor along with them. When they took off in the 1980s they took us with them to be perfectly honest. We were content to play second best to goras but to some chinkies? No way.
Some comparison is always good. The chinis do the same with the Americans, the Japanese, the Koreans
and the Taiwanese. Those are the people that drive them. They in turn can drive us.
Hell of a lot better rival with the PRC than Pakiland. I embrace them as a challenge.

What was it's main assigned task? Check if it floats?
Chinese are all about optics, no substance.

Sure. Then, they too will have seven or eight fleets. To match the US, of course. But first they must make sure that the carriers float.Singha wrote:State media has quoted military experts as saying China plans to build at least six carriers.

Their stuff are at the very least functional and in numbers so they can salami slice. And unless we go to war, we can’t take advantage of quality and crew training.
The chinis have perfected SRE (Short Rice Eaters) strategy against TFTA Amreekis and Samurais. Build shitloads and avoid actual fighting.
Re: China Military Watch - Sept' 2016
Pretty sure the 1st carrier returned to dry dock after a few days of first trial as well.
Re: China Military Watch - Sept' 2016
Of course....with the 65,000 ton, EMALS equipped and nuclear powered Vishaal....that vessel alone will give the Chinese shivers!!! Remember, after all it is coming with the super-duper F-18 Super Hornet that will scare the Chinese awaySingha wrote:massa can manage, but can we?

Re: China Military Watch - Sept' 2016
Oh come on , you did like my idea of the F-18 for about 2 minutes.
but jokes aside I was looking at structure of air wings on board aircraft carriers.
Vishaal must become a reality.
EMALS comes first before a nuclear powered carrier, IMHO.
I would move the Mig-29s over to Vikrant and Vishaal and Vikramaditya becomes the nesting ground for LCA Mk2 Navy.

Re: China Military Watch - Sept' 2016
We can only hope. But salami slicing in the Indo-cheen Sea or infiltration of IOR on “pirate patrols” cannot occur if those ships are not only functional but functional in great numbers. If they were Potempkin facades tied up to berths in the PRC then we’d have no problem.Aditya_V wrote:Or Xi is going to be like Stalin of thee 1930's, then a facade will be prepared and everyone going to try and show things work even when they do not.chola wrote:

Cheen is a mercantile power and the world’s top trading state. You can’t become the top trading state by selling things that are not at least functional.
Their quality could be horrible especially against the stuff from the TFTAs but you can’t take advantage of that fact unless you actually go to war with them. Cheen had assiduously avoided war in the past four decades even as it expanded its jurisdiction over a massive body of water in the SCS and pushed its flag and naval presence all the way to Djibouti.
They gave us an excuse to fight and expose them at Doklam but alas we are Short Rice Eaters also.
As I said, chinis have perfected the non-warrior Short Rice Eaters strategy against TFTA warrior race types. This strategy will continue until someone is willing to be a “bad” guy by initiating war.

Re: China Military Watch - Sept' 2016
well its kind of inevitable they would stabilize around a nuclear powered 80,000t size that permits a better sized airwing and proper catapults.
even USSR was working on such a design called Ulyanovsk class in nikolayev Ukraine.
Cheen would have purchased all such design data and any scientists still floating around from that area to speed things up.
if the Su33 with modified undercarriage can be catapult launched with a good payload would vastly improve the fleet air cover in the IOR.
atleast 3 would be sanctioned for sure.
also due to the ski jump the layout of the kuznetsov and sisters is not optimal, for the same size the QE2/PA2(proposed class) is nearly as wide as nimitz class and offers much better deck area and takeoff/landing length...better clearance for safety margin to parked craft near the stern.
our vikrant is in the CDG class, a level below the real heavies and two levels below the "gold std" nimitz class++
if we want bigger carriers the QE2 design with catapults is good.

The Tsari Chu valley in Arunachal Pradesh is another such area.
It is evident from satellite pictures that over the years the Chinese have moved at least 5 km into what should be Indian territory. They may have taken advantage of the remoteness of the area and the absence of Indian forces.
The Chinese PLA presence is now well established here. A new road that can be accessed by jeeps is being constructed, the river-bank is being improved and new construction post-Doklam, some of it underground, has been noticed.
