TTP has claimed responsibility for the Peshawar blast. Death toll now 14.

TTP claims responsibility for Peshawar blast
PESHAWAR: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the deadly suicide attack in Peshawar, which claimed 14 lives.

A Pakistani reporter shared a tweet which read, "The beginning of revenge," that was said by TTP (Pakistani Taliban) spokesman Mohammad Khurasani.

Iftikar Firdous, Bureau Head for The Express Tribune, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa posted on Twitter, "The TTP's spokesperson calls the suicide attack a 'revenge for the previous government of ANP' while claiming credit for the attack. Identifies the suicide bomber as Mujahid Abdul Karim. #Peshawar"

The bombing targeted a political rally of the Awami National Party (ANP), killing Haroon Bilour, a leader of the party.

Bilour was the ANP's candidate for a provincial seat (PK-78) in the upcoming general elections on July 25.

The explosion occurred in YakaToot neighbourhood on Tuesday night, moments after Bilour arrived at the venue to address supporters at the meeting.

Condemning the incident, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan sought security for the political parties and their candidates during the election campaigns.

"Sad to learn of Haroon Bilour and 2 other ANP workers deaths and strongly condemn the terrorist attack at the ANP corner mtg in Peshawar. All political parties and their candidates must be provided proper security during their election campaigns by the State," Khan tweeted.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif called the incident "a barbaric act."

"Shocking news from Peshawar: Grieved to learn about shahadat of Haroon Bilour. Strongly condemn this barbaric act of terrorism on a public meeting. Its govt & ECP's responsibility 2 provide fool-proof security 2 political parties leaders. My condolences to bereaved families & ANP"

The ANP was the main target of Taliban attacks in the 2013 general elections.

Nawaz Sharif Raises The Stakes In His Face-Off With The Deep State. Says That He Is "Not Afraid" Of Prison :D

Won't stop now whether I'm taken to prison or gallows, says Nawaz
LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif Wednesday said that he was returning to Pakistan leaving his wife Kulsoom in Allah's protection and not scared of whether he is hanged, imprisoned or given any other punishment.
Speaking at a news conference alongwith his daughter Maryam Nawaz, the former premier said that he wished to see his wife opening her eyes again, requesting the nation to pray for her recovery.
He is obviously counting on the "sympathy factor" which may bring in more votes for his party !
Speaking of the Avenfield reference verdict, the former premier noted that it was written in the verdict that Nawaz had been absolved of corruption charges.
"It had to be written in the verdict that no evidence of corruption could be found against me," he said. "Is there any Pakistani whose three generations had to face such sort of accountability?" he asked.
There is absolutely no doubt that he is corrupt . But he has been singled out for punishment because he dared oppose the Deep State ! And he should not "forget" that it was the same Establishment, ( in time of Zia) which groomed him and his family for power . When things were in his favour, he did not complain ( as Dus Percenti rightly pointed out to him !)

‘Turncoats’ Boost Imran Khan's Prospects In Pakistan Election
Reuters
(Reuters) - Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar, a Pakistani landowner and politician, recently switched to his third party in a decade. But he is likely to retain his seat in parliament this month, thanks to loyalty to a family name that has held sway over politics in this part of central Pakistan for generations.
"We've lived here for eight centuries," said Bakhtyar, who will contest the seat under the banner of ex-cricket hero Imran Khan's opposition party, after abandoning the outgoing ruling party of ousted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif."If you live in an area for that long, you tend to develop social and political capital," he told Reuters in an interview at his marble-floored mansion, nestled among the rolling mango plantations of Mianwali Qureshian, a village in southern Punjab.
As Anatoli Leiven , the author of a book on Pakistan (" A Hard Country ") has pointed out, the biradiri factor in Pakistan is very important. In this case, the common Abdul looks towards Makhdum Bakhtyar to help them. And he in turn , sensing the political wind, has switched sides from Nawaz to Imran. And along with his family votes, he will bring in "lots" his followers as well, due to his NAME, :D
Such outsize influence, enjoyed by dozens of aristocratic families in rural parts of Punjab province thanks to centuries of rigid social, tribal or religious tradition, is key to Khan's strategy for winning Pakistan's July 25 general election.
So, Paki politics , as always, is based on opportunism of the important people in the area. Not based on principles ! ( the so-called electables as Immy himself has pointed out !)
Entrenched local powerbrokers, who include feudal lords, tribal chiefs, clan elders and spiritual leaders and are known in Pakistan as "electables," :D hold about a quarter of Punjab's 141 elected parliamentary seats. Punjab, long the Sharif family's electoral power base, in turn accounts for more than half the 272 elected seats in the National Assembly, making it the key election battleground.
Khan has previously said he believes that winning over the province's electables can weaken the Sharifs' grip on Punjab and open up a path to power for him.
So far at least 21 Punjab lawmakers from Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have defected to Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), or Movement for Justice party, suggesting the strategy is bearing fruit.
Where Imran is not successful is persuading , incentives, pressure and threats from the Deep State has !
With polls also showing the PTI gaining ground, Khan is increasingly being tipped by analysts to be the next prime minister. But the embrace of "turncoat" politicians from traditional elites risks damaging his image as the candidate of change. Change has never happened like that . The case of ZA. Bhutto and his PPP Party is an example. He talked about "Islamic Socialism" . But his party too was full of Waderas, Makhdooms and Pirs, and Zamindars ! And he was a hypocrite par excellence. Hated equally by the Mullahs and the Army for his western ways, until for desperate and selfish reasons, he banned alcohol, declared Ahmedis Non Muslims, declaring Friday as sabbath, all to cling to power, but did not help him !
Khan wooed the electables bloc at the last election, but by his own admission they flirted with him before opting for Sharif's PML-N once it swept to power in 2013.Shah Mehmood Qureshi, deputy-chairman of PTI and an aristocratic Sufi elder, said the party has become "pragmatic" after the 2013 poll, in which it fielded ideological candidates who did not know the "art of contesting elections.""We need numbers (in parliament)," Qureshi told Reuters when asked about the party's pursuit of electables. "Unless we have numbers, how do we implement the agenda for change?"
He himself is a turncoat from PPP !
Khan, a former Pakistan cricket captain, founded PTI in 1996, but has only recently broken through as a credible contender for power. Sharif, who has clashed with the military before he was ousted from power by the Supreme Court last year, alleges members of the military's intelligence agency have been leaning on his lawmakers to switch sides and usher Khan to power.Several politicians from prominent south Punjab families have told Reuters that people they believed were intelligence agents have threatened them with corruption cases if they did not abandon PML-N.Reuters could not independently corroborate the events they described and the military, which has ruled the country for about half its history, denies interfering in modern-day politics. Khan has dismissed suggestions he is colluding with the generals.
As if he is going to admit that !
An anti-corruption crusader, Khan spent years on the fringes deriding the influence of powerful dynastic families as a symptom of a dishonest and venal political system. Now he defends his alliance with the electables as necessary."I am fighting elections in Pakistan, not Europe," Khan told the English-language Dawn newspaper last week. "You contest elections to win. You don't contest elections to be a good boy. I want to win."
No candidate in Pakistan can win, unless it has the "stamp of approval" from Deep State . And for Deep State, to give "approval" , it has to ensure that its own interests will be "protected" by that party . ( for eg no peace with India stance, etc etc )
In Mianwali Qureshian, Bakhtyar's ancestral home in south Punjab, children trudge barefoot through the village, while residents bitterly complain about lack of clean drinking water.Bakhtyar rose to prominence when he served in the cabinet of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, who had ended Sharif's earlier stint in power in a coup. He joined Sharif's party when he returned to power in 2013.Rattling off World Bank statistics about poverty in south Punjab, Bakhtyar said he has made it his life goal to curb inequality, advocating for higher taxes and a welfare state."Either you are a symbol of regressive forces or you decide to lead the progressive forces," he said. "I have taken the decision for the latter for 21 years [in politics]."
As Altaf Bhai of the MQM has pointed out, the presence of the Zamindari system itself is responsible for many ills of Pakiland !
Bakhtyar's only real threat at the ballot box is his cousin, Makhdoom Shahabuddin, another former cabinet minister and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) grandee who is also revered locally as a spiritual leader and custodian of a Sufi shrine.A direct descendant of one of the missionaries who brought Islam to the region more than 700 years ago, Shahabuddin said his hereditary role still "still carries weight with voters."
Both men agree the political influence of families such as theirs is waning, a trend analysts attribute to rapid urbanization, improved education and the rise of social media, which is making people more informed. But electables remain PTI's best bet to sweep south Punjab, Khan said recently.
All this can change, if the people become properly educated, not madrassah educated and that will take time, if such education is "allowed" .
Bakhtyar, who says he was not coerced and was never approached by the military's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency, concedes his switch from PML-N to PTI was not based on ideology.
Nothing less than a Khomeni type Islamic revolution can overturn the powers of the feudals, and not to forget that the faujis are the allies of the feudals - many feudals also go into "Army" ! And an Iran style revolution, will bring its own kind of problems (for India ) and the World
He led a bloc of lawmakers demanding Punjab, home to more than half of Pakistan's 208 million people, be split up and more money funneled to the south, by far the poorest part of the country's richest province.Khan agreed to hive off a new province and scooped up the support of Bakhtyar's bloc, he said."Since PTI is the new party on the horizon, from Khyber to Karachi, that was our best bet," Bakhtyar said.
Bakhtyar is only concerned about preserving his own "good life" . And that is why, he switched sides this time

Imran Khan vows to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state, bats for cooperation with India
Islamabad: Imran Khan on Monday vowed to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state as he unveiled his party's manifesto which said the "most viable" policy to ensure peace in the region was to cooperate with India, including on the Kashmir issue within the parameters of the UNSC resolutions. The 65-year-old cricketer-turned-politician said his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has a 100- day plan to meet serious economic and administrative woes faced by the country if his party is voted to power in the 25 July elections. On the foreign policy and national defence front, the PTI's manifesto said the party would work on a blueprint towards resolving the Kashmir issue within the parameters of the UN Security Council resolutions. Including withdrawal of Pakistan Army from so called Azad Kashmir , as a prerequisite
"For lasting peace within our own region, especially with our neighbour India, conflict resolution and the security route to cooperation is the most viable," the manifesto of the party said. The manifesto said, PTI's guiding principles will be of reciprocity, mutual interests and international norms that will govern Pakistan's relations at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Will the Deep State allow "peace with India"
The PTI will move substantively on the bilateral strategic dialogue with India encompassing all aspects of the strategic nuclear deterrence so as to prevent a spiralling nuclear arms race in the region.
Lot of "buzz words" . Remains to be seen . Devil in the details , as they say !
"The first challenge is unemployment and how to create jobs," Khan said. "The manifesto also discusses how we will use agriculture to generate revenue. We will ensure farmers' rights are not subjugated." He said that if given a chance to form the government, the PTI will offer business incentives to create employment that would lead to prosperity. "Our challenge is to create one crore jobs and five million homes in our five years term," Khan said.
Nothing about revamping Pakistan's notorious Madrassah based education system and the brainwashing of young Pakistani children who are taught "early on" to "hate India" and anything Non Islamic

Who cares what he thinks? Actually, does he even think? PakFauj would never bless any candidate who can think, and IK is their blue-eyed man. Let's expect more of the same in the years to come.

Meanwhile, here's the stillborn custard child wishing its mommy a happy birthday - notice the tail and the colonial mindset here

Asif Zardari Appears Unfazed At The Charges Now Being Leveled Against Him .

Zardari rejects money laundering allegations, condemns the 'torture' of Lawai
July 12, 2018
PPP co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari was put in the hot seat on Wednesday evening during an interview with Dunya News, in which he outright rejected allegations that he had illegally channelled funds through benami accounts in connivance with the CEO of major banks.
Seven individuals, including Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur, were reported by investigators to be involved in using certain bank accounts for suspicious transactions totalling Rs35 billion.
Referring to the op-ed penned by Zahid Hussain which was featured in Dawn on Wednesday, the host asked Zardari what he thought of the "plot which is being drawn around him". To this, Zardari replied by saying: "Nothing happens in a vacuum. There is something in the works, hidden behind a veil."
Dus Percenti suspects that with Ganja Sharif now neutralized, Deep State is now "out to get him" :D
He said of the notice issued by the SC summoning him and his sister Faryal: "The notice we have received is that for Rs15 million. The drums that are being beaten are for Rs35 billion."The PPP co-chairman said that he "will see what happens" as he has faced many such cases before. "It does not matter if our opponents make such a move," he said, appearing unfazed.
He is an experienced politico . At least on the surface, he appears calm !
Zardari, however expressed his displeasure at his close aide Hussain Lawai being taken into FIA custody and in his words "tortured"."He is an 80-year-old man, a respectful banker. He was picked up and tortured. We condemn this," he said.
When asked whether this was actually true, he replied in the affirmative: "Yes, he has been tortured."
Probably has his own sources, from where he gets the news !
Responding to the allegations that he faces, he said: "Yes I outright reject these allegations. I am not denying that I have no relationship. Their sugar mills are located very close to my lands. My clerk and their clerk might have some give and take [arrangement] going on."
The concept of plausible deniability :D
Responding to the host's remark about a narrative being built which makes it seem that he is avoiding appearing before the court, Zardari said: "The narrative can be built in any way."
He was then asked to comment on the "language that is developing" when the use of terms such as "judicial martial law", "creeping coup" and "farishton ki amad" is on the rise, especially with the verdict against Nawaz Sharif, and how he sees the situation that he is facing. "What makes you think he has been taken care of?" Zardari responded, referring to the PML-N supreme leader. He went on to say: "The time for accountability is before or after the elections."
The PPP leader denied any possibility of his party boycotting the elections. "Any political force which gives another a chance to storm in would be making a mistake. A boycott is not the solution, participation is." He also said that if the PPP talks to anyone "it will be on a paper diagram... you give me this I'll give you that... we will not show anyone any democratic goodwill."
So, in spite of all this "harassment" on the eve of the crucial election, he still has high hopes for his PPP Party

The Crucial "Biradari" Factor Explained

Feature: Keeping it within the biradari
July 11, 2018
NASIR Bhatti is an undergraduate student at the Government Degree College Sheikhupura who, amongst other things, does not want to miss an opportunity to have good food. For many days now, each afternoon after classes, he hurries off to keep his important lunch appointment — at the election office of Mian Javed Latif, a well-known PML-N election candidate.
Once the first item on his agenda is taken care of, Bhatti can choose from a variety of assignments. He can either board a car in one of the Latif campaign caravans or pick up a bag of the party candidates’ badges to distribute amongst the youth in a nearby neighbourhood.“This is election time and such expenses are unavoidable,” Bhatti says, pointing to the tandoor set up in the camp office “This is the least they [the election candidates] can offer.”
But it is definitely not just good food that attracts the young man to the PML-N. A councillor belonging to the party helped his family without consideration of biradari and clan. This single act won the young man over to the party’s side in an area where biradari-ism reigns. “People here vote for someone they can turn to in their hour of need,” Bhatti nods as an elderly Ashraf Din enters the conversation.
Virk, Manj, Bhatti, Rana, Arian, Dogar, Rahmani, Gujjar … the biradari vote is vital for success in Sheikhupura district, just as the utmost importance is attached to dharay ki siasat or the politics of influential groups.“Folks here gauge the strength of a candidate through the number of dharas that are supporting him,” says Ashraf Din. “Javed Latif won the 2008 and 2013 elections on NA-121 (Sheikhupura-III) but he is struggling to gain the support of some influential groups this time round. Many of the local dharas are siding with the PTI’s Saeed Virk or independent candidate Khurram Munwar Munj.”
Anatoly Leiven in his book on Pakistan comments that biradari is the glue keeps Pakiland together !
There are many candidates in the run in both Sehikhupura and Nankana as nominees of the Mutahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), the Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and the Allah-o-Akbar Tehrik backed by Hafiz Saeed’s Milli Muslim League. Their presence in the constituencies can be seen in posters and banners. Local observers say that while these candidates are capable of winning a good number of votes which may influence results, they are unlikely to win seats of their own.

In This Part Of Pakiland, Women Are "Discouraged" To Vote By Their Spouses

Women vow to defy men who banned their vote in Mohri Pur
July 12, 2018
AFP
MOHI PUR: Men banned women from voting in the village of Mohri Pur sometime around 1947, and they have obeyed ever since — until this year, when changes to Pakistan’s election laws and women’s attitudes could shift the dynamic.
At least, that is the hope of many women meeting beneath a Jambolan tree in the village some 60 kilometres from Multan, its shade protecting them from the blazing sun. Whether the men watching angrily as the women speak to AFP reporters will allow them to follow through when the nation goes to the polls on July 25 is another question.
Southern Pakjab has always been a "bastion" of conservatism and feudalism which includes "tribal justice" and honour killings !
“They perhaps think that women are stupid… or there is an issue of honour for them,” says 31-year-old Nazia Tabbasum.
But the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared that at least 10 per cent of voters in each constituency must be women, otherwise its results will be voided. It would be interesting to know how this kind of "rule" can be implemented . Have the election rolls been revised and have the rolls based on census results ?
Nearly 20 million new voters have been registered, including 9.13 million women, the commission says.
The shift also sets the stage for a stand-off in conservative rural areas, like Mohri Pur. “The main reason is that these are the areas where women are not allowed to even come out of the house,” says Farzana Bari, a gender expert and rights activist. The ECP’s rule change should improve things — though Bari warned that within each constituency there could yet be pockets where women are prevented from voting.
There is plenty of precedent: in 2015 men stopped women from voting in a local poll in Lower Dir. The ECP promptly cancelled the result.
In 2013 a court ordered the arrest of male elders in two other districts over banning female votes in the previous general elections. In Mohri Pur women do work outside the home and some receive education, yet the vote ban holds.
Many of the younger women under the Jambolan tree are eager to exercise their rights — but not all.Widow Nazeeran Mai, 60, says it is not “custom” for women to vote. “(T)here is no one to stop me, but still I don’t vote because nobody else does,” she says.
Then there is the "Mullah and the Zamindar factor also. How these two feel about this new rule, may make a difference . :D
Others fear violent reprisals.
This cannot be ruled out !
“I can’t break their tradition… the people of this village have to decide when they will allow women to vote,” says Raza Hayat Hiraj from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
Bismillah Noor, a member of the district council who arranged the meeting under the Jambolan tree, says the men are stubborn.
“I’ve been trying since 2001 but nobody listens to me,” she says. “In 2005, men told me their women don’t want to vote so I should not force them.” Another attempt in 2013 also failed. The determination Noor hears from the village women now gives her a glimmer of hope — but progress is fragile. In 2015, one woman, Fouzia Talib, became the only one in Mohri Pur to vote in local elections. She was ostracised. Now, she is unsure if voting on July 25 for politicians she believes will do little for the area is worth the backlash.
“I will see,” she tells AFP.
Foreign press coverage of the Paki election will ramp up in the coming days !

Hameed Haroon, Owner Of "Dawn Newspaper" Writes An Opinion Piece In Washington Post On "The Dirty War On Freedom Of The Press In Pakistan " :D

A dirty war on freedom of the press in Pakistan
Hameed Haroon
July 11 ,2018
As Pakistan heads toward its next democratic elections on July 25, the transition to a new government is likely to be a hazardous one. The main reason: an unprecedented assault by the Pakistani military on the freedom of the press, which is threatening our chances for free and fair elections.
Press freedom in our country has always existed in a delicate state of balance. It is the product of decades of struggle. At the end of the 1970s, to name but one example, a military-run government sent hundreds of journalists to jail and had four of them whipped. Those in power have never liked the idea of unfettered freedom for the press. Yet many newspapers in the country have continued to defy the authorities.
For writing this in a important USA newspaper, it is likely that he will be labeled as a "western agent" and an "anti-Pakistani" :D
The reason for the current assault is simple. Certain forces aim to prevent the media from providing independent coverage of the country’s central political issue — specifically, a deepening power struggle between the military and the civil authorities. The current campaign against the media involves many elements of overt coercion, including severe disruptions of the distribution network of independent newspapers and the blocking of broadcasts of dissenting television news channels.
Whether , the restrictions on the media is going to ease up due to this "negative publicity" is very unlikely. The US still has leverage, but whether it is willing to exercise it is very unlikely. Charges of interference in the domestics affairs will be shouted !
Recently, the military has embarked on a campaign to remake the political landscape by depicting the leaders of certain political parties as corrupt or hostile to national security.
Pakistan is ruled by a caretaker administration, as stipulated by our constitution. Yet current Prime Minister Nasir-ul-Mulk has not taken any action to respond to the growing clamor in the national media or to persuade the military to halt coercive measures.
The caretaker govt is like putty in the hands of the military. It is "toothless" !
So has the military succeeded in using this crackdown on the media to neutralize its civilian political enemies? Once again, not quite. Sharif, though barred from future political life by the Supreme Court, has been addressing mammoth political rallies in his home province, thus posing a clear challenge to the campaign currently pursued by state institutions. This is the main challenge confronting the security establishment as it works to shape and ultimately dominate the environment of the coming elections.
It is backing Imran Khan from behind ! . And doing all the "dirty work" for him !
Moves to disrupt newspaper distribution have been accompanied by a series of attacks on dissenting journalists (including sporadic abductions). In June, unknown assailants kidnapped Gul Bukhari, a prominent journalist, and detained her for several hours. The same night, broadcast journalist Asad Kharal was assaulted in public in Lahore.
A senior military official prepared the way for this by identifying certain journalists, news channel anchors and social activists as enemies of national security. His statement clearly aimed to put reporters in harm’s way, and led immediately to intense campaigns of harassment on social media. Not surprisingly, newspaper columnists have begun to complain that editors are dropping their articles, and several have resorted to publicizing their rejected commentaries through popular social media platforms.
Is there a way forward? Clearly, if Pakistan is to function as a meaningful democracy, the country’s security establishment will have to review its policy of restricting media freedom. The caretakers must adopt impeccable conduct, and the military leadership would be well advised to adopt a strategy of restraint. Otherwise the prospects for democracy in Pakistan appear to be decidedly bleak.
By no stretch of imagination, can Pakistan be said to have "democracy" . Direct military rule is just not possible , due to the Kerry-Lugar Act . But "behind the scenes" shenanigans are not disallowed, and that is what is happening , like the curbs on the press

Reham Khan's Book Released Online ! Tantalizing Details Revealed About The Kaptaan :D

Reham Khan has finally released her book on Amazon and it is much worse than we anticipated
LAHORE – After the leaked content of Reham Khan’s all-tell biography sent shock waves across Pakistan for more than a month before the unveiling of the piece, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has finally released her book online.
The scandal-filled book, which is available on Amazon, an electronic commerce company, hit the shelves with more shocking stories than anticipated, especially in the chapters dedicated to her ten-month long marriage with Imran Khan, who has the strong chances of becoming prime minister after July 25 elections.
The 45-year-old journalist and former BBC World weather-forecasting anchor claimed that the cricketer-turned-politician had been showing interest in pre-marriage meetings intended at conducting interviews as he usually asked about her age and admired her.
At that time, it was an open secret that Imran was "hunting" for a spouse to replace wife # 1. His two sisters were also in the "game" of seeing him settled down !
Sharing her experience of one of her meeting with the PTI chief at Bani Gala before marriage, she stated that she was attacked by huge mosquitoes and scratching her feed when he emerged from the bedroom. She added, “He now had a glint in the eyes as he looked straight into mine. Flustered by his penetrating gaze, I looked away and explained that I was covered in mosquito bites. The next thing I knew, his huge hands had grabbed my ankles protectively but gently, as if to sooth the insect bites. I jumped in my chair at this unexpected, yet tender gesture from him. He leant forward as if to kiss miss, then groaned and got to his feet”.
He took her to the garden and said, ” I want to marry you,” Reham explained, adding that she responded as “Are you totally insane?”.
So, according to this version, Reham was "not impressed" with Imran's self initiative to be "closer to her"
Besides describing the whole story from Khan’s flirt and kissing attempts to dispute over a dancing video, she at one place revealed that the cricket celebrity touched her knee seeking forgiveness for taking her wrong.
Suffering from mood swings
Reham, in the book, claimed that women are exploited within the PTI. She alleged that a close friend of the PTI chief had to make a girl to undergo an abortion. When Imran Khan was accused of it, he rejected the allegations in public.
Hope, Reham has some "solid evidence" to substantiate this shocking claim !
The former BBC journalist further wrote, “Months later, however, I was being told by Imran Khan himself that it had actually happened”.
So, it looks like that Reham was keeping a daily log of her life lived with ex cricketer now politician (Kaptaan) Imran Khan
Reham Khan has accused the former of massive drug addiction in the recently published biography.
Who is/was Imran's drug supplier in Isloo
Imran Khan has massive drug addiction, alleges Reham Khan in autobiography
Transgender person provided her ‘services’ to Imran Khan, Reham claims in scandal-filled book
Homosexuality. She claimed that the PTI chief had also been involved in homosexual. (sic) Reham wrote, “He [Imran Khan] spole of a time when a boy signaled to him to follow him into the garden of the school property and performed a sexual act on him. Later, in Worcestershire, while he was doing his A. Levels, he described an incident in the showers where a 12-year-old boy came and forced himself on an 18-year-old Imran”.
Hope, Reham has a "good lawyer" to defend her, as she surely will need one !!!!
Sharing another story, which she claimed that it has been described by the PTI chairman himself, the second wife of Imran stated, “…it was clear he [Imran] had been subjected to nudity by older maids and cousins. Imran joked about a maid who would forcefully nurse him when he was about 4-5 years old. It became such a habit that Imran once grabbed her breasts in front of his mother, much to her horror. He told me how an older female cousin would force him to touch her when he was not even ten.
Whether these shocking details, true or not , will politically hurt Imran Khan is not a "sure" thiing  . It is very much possible that it may end up hurting Reham more !
Reham Khan has accused the former of massive drug addiction in the recently published biography. The 45-year-old journalist, who also shared pictures of cocaine recovered from Imran Khan’s pocket in book, claimed: “His sexual adventures had started even earlier than his cricketing career, but the delving into drugs started later he claimed. Imran said that he first started on cocaine when Jemima took the kids away”. She added, “PTI founding members also corroborate the timing of his coke addiction”.
If he still is "hooked" on drugs, it obviously would be a problem, but if he is "clean" now, it should be no problem, at least IMO :D
Reham Khan’s book has become controversial even before the release as she has made blunt remarks in the book. One such incident relates to a TV anchor, Reham did not mention, who took a different line than PTI’s one but after having spent a night with an operative and having being captured in a compromising video, changed his stance.Though Imran’s former wife has not provided the name of the anchor but added that he was a sensible and highest ranking presenter.
That is why they say that "politics is a dirty game"
Reham Khan has visibly weighed in on the discussion whether Imran Khan is an operative of the Yahoodi lobby or zionists who want him to steer the country, throwing weight behind the assertions.Reham shares that Imran Khan was close to Kate Rothschild as she was devastated when the rapper she fell in love with, converted to Islam and refused to continue the affair with her.
Maulana Fazl ( AKA Diesel) has off and on leveled same allegations against the Kaptaan !
She also shares that Imran Khan hated Jemima’s phone calls, and cursed her after each one, but could not avoid that as it was a ‘stronger hold’, contending that it made complete sense after realising that James Goldsmith had always been politically active, and had even founded his own party in the 90’s called the Referendum party.“It was a single issue Eurosceptic party which laid the foundations of Brexit. Before him, his father Frank Goldsmith had been a prolific Jewish politician as well. Frank, a hotelier of German descent, had been a Conservative MP,” explains Reham Khan.
IMO, Imran's first marriage to a rich Jewess should not be held against him. But, in Pakiland, where conspiracy theories abound, this may become a factor , when voting time comes around
Imran’s former wife shares that besides his portfolio of 48 hotels, he was known for being one of the founders of the King David Hotel in East Jerusalem and over 46% of the hotel was funded by notable Jews.
During the six-day war, the hotel was extended, claims Reham Khan
If Reham Khan intention is to do maximum political damage to Immy, by publishing this book, it is very essential to get an Urdu version of this book ASAP and publish it online !

Most Pakistanis will probably secretly admire Imran for his behavior and actions described above. He will probably gain votes because of this.

Paki Politics Gets Hot . In London

London police take Nawaz Sharif's grandsons into custody
Ousted premier Nawaz Sharif's grandsons Junaid Safdar and Zakaria Sharif were taken into custody by London police on Friday after they reportedly got enraged and beat a man outside Avenfield House, DawnNewsTV reported.
According to initial reports, protesters had gathered outside the Avenfield residence where a man is believed to have hurled abuses towards Maryam Nawaz's son Junaid and his cousin Zakaria, prompting them to lose their cool and proceed to grab the man by the collar and punch him.
Pakistaniyat being openly practiced in London !
The protesters notified the police officials present in the vicinity who took Junaid and Zakaria into custody and shifted them to a nearby police station. "The protesters gathered outside Avenfield House spat at me and tried to attack me," said Junaid Safdar while police was taking him away.
Meanwhile, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have left for Heathrow Airport from where they will be flying to Dubai.
Another "headache" for the London Police :D
In Pakistan, National Accountability Bureau officials arrested Junaid Safdar's father, retired Captain Mohammad Safdar and sent him to jail earlier this week. Safdar has been sentenced by the accountability court to one year in prison on charges of abatement in the Avenfield reference.
"Summer holidays" in London for Junaid or "student" "studying" in London. Hard to say
Avenfield House has witnessed frequent scuffles in recent days. On July 6, a heated verbal argument ensued between two groups when one was distributing sweets outside the Avenfield House after the accountability court judge convicted Nawaz Sharif, Maryam and her husband retired captain Safdar in the corruption reference. (Imran's PTI people  ). . The move angered members of the PML-N’s UK chapter who then broke into a brawl with two men distributing the sweets.
Ever since the decision has been announced, dozens of people some of them holding the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) flags can be seen protesting and chanting slogans outside the building.
London has of course become the de-facto capital of Pakistan, home away from home for Paki politicos who are not in favour with the regime "back home "

This mess we’re in
The writer is a former IG Police and author of The Faltering State.
PAKISTAN today suffers from a crisis of governance. That's all?
Instead of strategic, visionary long-term policies for both external and internal security challenges, there was a reliance on short-term, tactical (ie reactionary) responses to a myriad challenges on account of economic mismanagement, corruption and a convoluted policy of using religious extremists as tools of the invisible state.
The foremost factor behind such violence is the state’s failure to recognise that there are no ‘pro-state’ or ‘anti-state’ elements among those who pursue a violent agenda.
First, Pakistan must stop harbouring a massive insecurity complex. As a nuclear state with the world’s sixth largest army, we should be confident and end our garrison-state mentality and constant worrying about survival.
Second, there is no doubt in my mind that the relevant stakeholders in the state security establishment have finally undertaken to end support for erstwhile militant jihadi groups that was given on account of some strategic compulsions that are counterproductive in the present milieu. The time for proxies is over; being blacklisted by FATF would result in international isolation, sanctions and the stigma of a pariah state.
Fifth, we must cultivate tolerance for national harmony.

Paki PEMRA Cracks The Whip Ahead Of Election.

Pemra warns TV channels to refrain from 'airing derogatory and malicious content'
July 12, 2018
The authority observes in its notice: "Despite issuing an advice and verbal discourse with all the licensees no significant compliance is witnessed on the television screens. Satellite TV channels are persistently airing Live marathon transmissions/press conferences by political leadership containing defamatory and derogatory content targeting various state institutions specifically judiciary and armed forces of Pakistan." The notice then goes on to highlight the relevant sections of the Pemra code of conduct the news channels are found in violation of as can be seen in their tweet below:
It has warned all channels to "ensure that no hateful, defamatory, malicious, and derogatory content/speech/press conference/paid political advertisement is aired, broadcast or televised in any manner, live or recorded, which may likely undermine the sanctity of judiciary, armed forces of Pakistan, other institutions, individuals, political parties and the electoral process". In the event that any licensee is found violating the provisions outlined in the notice, "strict action shall be initiated by the authority without any notice or further opportunity of hearing".
Is it a coincidence that the so-called warning has been issued on the (i) eve of Ganja's arrival in Pakiland (ii) on-line publication of Reham Khan's gossipy book on Imran :

Pakis "Agree" To Become Guinea Pigs For Chini Pharma

Chinese firm to conduct drug clinical trials in Pakistan
July 11, 2018
KARACHI: The International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at Karachi University (KU) has recently signed an agreement with a leading Chinese pharmaceutical company under which the latter would conduct drug clinical trials at the KU facility. The agreement was signed by Dr Xiaochun Chen, director general, Health and Family Planning Commission of Hunan Province, China, and ICCBS director Prof M. Iqbal Choudhary.
According to a press statement released on Monday, the agreement signing between Hunan Anbang Pharmaceutical Company (HAPC) and ICCBS also marked the launching of clinical trials on a capsule at the Centre for Bioequivalence Studies and Clinical Research, part of Dr Panjwani Centre for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research.“The State Food and Drug Administration of China (SFDA) has approved HAPC’s project ‘Yinhuang Qingfei Capsule’. Later, the same drug could be marketed in Pakistan and help tackle many illnesses here. The mechanism would help Pakistanis to have easy and cheap access to Chinese medicines now,” a press release said.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof Choudhary said the agreement was aimed at promoting scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.“Our laboratories have the capability to develop and validate analytical methods for a variety of drug substances and metabolites using sophisticated high-throughput technologies,” he said.
One further sign of Pakistan being Chinified. Hope the Pakis are aware of China's notorious track record of sub standard and shoddy maal . Have they not been the victim of sub standard Diesel locomotives that their "tallel than mountain fliend" provided them a couple of years ago . According to a recent North American media report, Dog Food imported from China contained leather and rubber instead of meat . And "rice" has been known to be made of plastic

Interesting Comment from a reader !

Please be very careful, evaluate everything on scientific level; Pakistanis should not be used as lab animals for Chinese interest.

2 injured in blast near political party's office in Khuzdar
At least two people were injured in a blast near the election office of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) in Khuzdar on Thursday night, DawnNewsTV reported.According to police, unidentified miscreants targeted the campaign office of Agha Shakeel Durrani, the leader of BAP contesting elections from Khuzdar.
Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohsin Butt said terrorists are planning to sabotage election activities in the province."Islamic State (IS), Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ) and sub-nationalists are trying to sabotage election campaigns in Balochistan, he told DawnNewsTV.
It could be Baloch Freedom Fighters who may be responsible for this . However, it is Pakistan's interest to shift the blame to IS or LJ :D

An Indian Newspaper Reviews Reham Khan's Book On The Kaptaan .

Sex, Drugs, Illegitimate Children, Corruption: Reham Khan on Ex-Husband Imran Khan
Aishwarya Kumar
News18.com
July 12, 2018
New Delhi: With barely days left for elections in Pakistan, PTI leader Imran Khan seems to have fresh trouble on his hands.
Months after excerpts from her manuscript were leaked, Imran’s former wife Reham Khan’s book finally came out on Thursday. Reham writes in depth about her 10-month marriage, detailing the political atmosphere and the leaders in Pakistan at that point.
Interestingly, she also writes about how Imran would talk often about his future as the Prime Minister of Pakistan and how she would give him the example of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who she claimed was voted to power despite having "radical" views.
Reham Khan alleges that Imran Khan was a free-loader, one who abused politicians. She writes how vegetables and other food items were “never bought” and were gifts by various leaders, including Jahangir Tareen, Tariq Fazal Chaudhary.
She is talking of "vegetables and food items" . Imran Khan went on the "small hajj" just last month, in a private plane of one of his friends. So , his free-loading is hereby confirmed .
Further, she also writes about how Imran never paid heed to several claims of corruption in the system. One such instance was when PTI leader Azam Swati was accused of nepotism in over 500 applications in Hazara University.
Imran Khan is well known for getting his minions do the dirty work for him !
She also mentions how Imran had asked her to bid for the timber that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government had confiscated as part of a crackdown on timber mafia. “One day, he enquired why the doors were not all finished. I lamented how costly the wood was. I had already bought two rather expensive carpets out of my own money. But he insisted that I should order them all right away, and if I needed solid wood, he could just get it from the timber they had confiscated. I stopped dead in my tracks. Was my husband and leader saying that his wife could get illegal, confiscated timber by sending her own people for the bidding?” she writes.
In Pakiland, if you have "name" and if have "money" , you have it made ! Imran has both !
The book further claims that Imran had made it clear “that he would not allow anyone to raise the issues of corruption of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, the monetary benefits JKT received under his government, or even Asad Omar's newly introduced disastrous PEDO.”
What is politics, if you cannot "help" your friends.
With regards to PEDO, the energy organisation that was renamed from SHDO, Reham makes startling claims of how corrupt the functioning was. Under Omar, PEDO involved privatisation of the hydel projects to PTI favourites or “cronies” as she writes at very low prices.
If this is as Reham reports, Imran has no right to call Ganja Sharif corrupt !
“Thereafter, the government would be deprived of all revenue from the projects they had started, besides the small benefit from the water usage charges. And PTI were free to run them as they liked, and potentially even sell them back to the government at a loss after leeching the businesses of all profit. In one case, 6 billion rupees were spent on approximately 200 small-scale 5KW to 50KW projects, which is the equivalent of spending $54 million on the distribution of a few hundred simple solar panels. So, the pertinent question was simply this: Where did all that money go? In other words, PTI appeared to be abusing their power as a provincial government by fast tracking projects with ‘potential’ and subtly privatising them. In doing so, they were effectively handing themselves significant investment and capital, and stealing streams of present and future income from existing government budgets,” the book claims.
And what is to say that Imran's friends did not "repay" him in cash and kind ( kickbacks) for the favours he did by selling these projects to them at dirt cheap prices :D
Reham Khan narrates an incident wherein she allegedly saw the PTI leader rubbing black lentils all over his naked body to “ward off a curse”.
This has been reported elsewhere also. Plus the daily slaughter of a black goat
Reham Khan makes startling revelations about Imran’s alleged drug addiction. She writes that she had caught her husband red-handed snorting coke in their bathroom. While he allegedly assured her that she need not worry about his drug problem, she claims that the habit never stopped.
This may or may not be true. But the Paki Deep State at least needs to look into this . Their favourite candidate on drugs !!
She also writes about how he used a mouth guard to stop his teeth from clenching due to the effects of coke. He also did heroin, the book claims. She further writes that Imran had possession of all sorts of tranquillisers, mainly benzodiazepines like Xanax and Lexotanil and also the banned Rohypnol.
Wow. This is heavy stuff indeed !
She also mentions that the former cricketer could not remember the things he said because of the high amount of drugs he did and the coke he allegedly snorted.
And this is the guy who will potentially in charge of the Paki Nuclear Button
She narrates an incident where, during Ramzan, Imran allegedly told Sahir (Reham’s eldest son) that he was a confused atheist. The PTI leader, however, did not remember the comment the next day.
Reham must have kept a very, very detailed diary . Was the Kaptaan aware of this . If he was "on drugs" , then obviously he would have no clue
“The typical day’s cocktail would generally consist of half an ecstasy tablet and one or two lumps of coke, followed by two to three sedatives at night. It wasn't until the last month that he started hiding the dispenser in his jacket pockets… It appeared that Imran was doing about six grams a night,” the book claims.
And this "guy" is all "Sadiq and Ameen" according the Paki Constitution . And the Deep State has no problems in giving him this "certificate"
Reham claims that her ex-husband engaged in gay encounters. Naming his close friend, Moby, she states that the men were in a “live-in relationship” despite the latter being married. She also mentions how she allegedly found empty cigar cases and huge tubes of KY jelly on Imran Khan’s bedside table. When quizzed about it, Imran said the lubricant and the metal cases were used together. “His ‘preferences’ became clear. My look of horror produced peals of laughter from my sexually liberated husband,” she writes.
So, the Kaptaan, on the side, indulged in bacha-baazi as well
Another shocking revelation that the book makes is Imran’s alleged sexual encounters with many women leaders in PTI. She claims that she read explicit messages from Andaleeb Abbas and Uzma Kardar. The book claims that her husband dismissed her concerns citing various reasons, including calling Andaleeb an alcoholic.
Imran's reputation as a Romeo is well known , so this cannot be ruled out. Just very recently he showed his "charm' to a Russian TV anchor
“These women were regular offenders. Uzma Kardar was not only in the habit of regularly sending him images of her genitalia but would force her way in to stand or sit next to him, even in my presence. I dismissed her as a disturbed woman. She had warned me in person at Aleem Khan’s house, right at the start of the year, that I should put up with it since they were not going to back off,” the book states.
So, Imran Khan's inner circle knew about him, if this book is to be believed, otherwise , Reham has a very rich imagination
Reham further claims that several women in the party would boast (to Imran) about the number of men they had sexual encounters with. His alleged penchant for ‘sexting’, the book claims, was well known in Lahori circles. She also writes about how Imran allegedly boasted about a threesome with famous singer Grace Jones. “He would revisit these fantasies, describing his alleged threesomes with the black singer and a famous model-wife of a rock star back in the eighties,” the book states.
This was all done in "infidel England" , before he "found" Islam, so it does not count
Reham Khan hints about a conversation that she had with her ex-husband regarding Tyrian White, his alleged daughter with Sita White. Imran allegedly told her that Tyrian was not the only one and that he had five other illegitimate children “that he knew of”. Other than her, the book claims that only Jemima Goldsmith, Imran’s first wife, was aware of the “illegitimate” children. The book also claims that Imran Khan told his then wife that a few of the women he had children with are married Indian women who were thrilled to have the child since they couldn’t otherwise in their marriage. Imran is also alleged to have said that the eldest child was 34 years old.
If this is to be believed, then there are "little Imrans" either in India, or elsewhere !
Jemima Goldsmith and Imran Khan were married for nine years from 1995-2004. They share two sons. In her book, Reham writes that more than the Sharif family, it was Jemima who was damaging Imran’s politics.
Reham Khan also goes on to write that Imran regretted marrying Jemima. “You know, I cried on the night of our wedding reception when I got married to Jemima…Jemima had a few drinks at the reception, and passed out. I cried myself to sleep,” Reham quotes Imran as allegedly saying. Further, the book also claims that Jemima had a bad temper and that Imran used to physically abuse her.
Hope Reham has a very very good lawyer specializing in libel !
Further, she also writes about an episode where he told her how in Worcestershire, while he doing his A levels, a 12-year-old boy had forced himself on a then 18-year-old Imran.
“She had this dreadful temper, throwing things at me when she would get angry. Once, she tried to trip me over with her leg. Another time, she threw a phone at me. Once, she wouldn’t stop swearing at me and I slapped her across the face. She went crying to her brother, who in turn told her to apologise to me. I wanted to divorce her right there and then but Annabelle (Jemima’s mother) talked me out of it. Another time, as she became aggressive with me, I lifted my hand in self-defence and broke her arm. She was walking around with her arm in a plaster after that,” the book quotes Imran as saying.
A bit of investigating reporting, with dates , pictures of Jemima etc etc can set the record straight !
Further, the book also claims that Imran Khan forced a young girl to abort her pregnancy. While Imran had refuted the allegations in public, Reham claims that he did indeed tell her that it was the truth. Reham also writes about a sexual encounter between Imran and a transgender dancer.
( local or phoren  )
Reham writes in her book that senior PTI leader Pervez Khattar was addicted to marijuana. “The most common rumour in PTI circles was of the Chief Minister's fondness for weed…. I only saw that the Chief Minister wouldn't eat much, but couldn't stop heaping sugar into his tea. When I shared the gossip of the ‘Charsi’ nickname the CM had earned and asked if it was true, Imran merely giggled in agreement,” she writes.
The freedom of media in Pakistan is something that has been debated upon by many. In her book, Reham claims that her former husband had influence of several leading media houses in the country. Even in the organisations that he boycotted, there were “plants” who served as pro-PTI voices. His “friends” in the media include Tahir A Khan of News One to Zafar Siddiqui of Samaa, the book claimed.
The book also claims that the head of Pakistan’s only media ratings agency Medialogic, Salman Danish, was a permanent fixture at Bani Gala, as were heads of mega advertising agencies, like Inam Akbar.
“It was a new kind of fascism where the corporate power is a collaborator. This was the skipper’s team; the media as propaganda arm of PTI, meant to further its agenda and cover up its failings. And the receivers lapped it all up,” she writes.

Not sure RK's book will have much affect on IK's prospects. Such things would matter in a place where elections are freely held and fair. Not in Pakistan.

Books only matter where people can read or write. Men will vote as their maulvi tells them to, women will vote as their men tell them to, and life will go on...

Vegetables & food items (like daal, chawal etc)?!? If I was famous and had rich friends, may be, I too would free load on private planes. But free loading on friends for daal, chawal, sabzi etc? Im the Dim is a wierd dude!

Rophynol is famous as a date rape drug. From here: Rohypnol
Why is Rohypnol Called the Date Rape Drug?
Amnesia is an expected pharmacologic effect of benzodiazepines. Rohypnol causes partial amnesia; individuals are unable to remember certain events that they experience while under the influence of the drug. However, this effect is particularly dangerous when Rohypnol is used illicitly to aid in sexual assault. Victims may not be able to clearly recall the assault, the assailant, or the events surrounding the assault.
Why is IK into date rape drugs? And, this guy aspires to be Pakiland PM? On second thoughts, considering his addiction to drugs, black magic, peernis, pakis & IK richly deserve each other :P

Also, a target for the likes of IS for the same reason.

BTW, I still believe that PML-N would win the election provided ISI's ballot stuffing is checked.

Most pakis look up to leaders like immy duh dimmy as their swash-buckling, evergreen heroes, as examples to emulate and fantasize about. This practice goes back 1400 years. This overall persona that has now been built around this dimwit (not just based on Mrs Khan da IIIrd's expose but during dimmy's entire career since the '80s) is mind boggling, to say the least. It will take an entire team of qualified psychologists, psychiatrists and nut house social workers years and years to put their arms around this "man".

I also believe that Mrs Khan (no.3) only married this dimwit so that she could write a book and gain notoriety.

Martyr syndrome that besets every bakistani. Nawaz doing a bhutto!

Nawaz says, Pakistan on a decisive juncture
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif posted a video message on social media, saying that Pakistan is on a decisive juncture.
I have done all that I could. I know I have been sentenced for 10 years and that I will be taken straight to prison
Please support me and walk with me at every step. We must change the country’s future. This opportunity will not come again
I have to tell the Pakistani nation that I am doing this for them
I am giving this sacrifice for your coming generations for Pakistan’s future
Nawaz will serve 10 years in prison, while Maryam seven. Additionally, Nawaz's son-in-law Capt (retired) Safdar has been given a one year sentence without any fine
Coming back to save Pakistan from conspirators
I am leaving Kalsoom Nawaz behind to return Pakistan
In the 70 years history of Pakistan, there is not a single example of a family which has been held accountable for three generations like us
despite seeing the prison in front of me I am to fulfil my promise to give respect to vote
"Pakistan is in great trouble and I am coming back to save my country"

"You Dig Your Own Grave First, Then Ask Someone ( The Italians) To Fill It Up Later", Syndrome

Pakistani government with the help of Italian team successfully restored 'Buddha of Swat' which was heavily damaged by Taliban.

PS: And who were the Taliban, if not Paki Fauj in Mufti

AFAIK* signals are blocked in Punjab. Not sure about other provinces of Pakistan. First hundreds of people getting unlawfully arrested and now this. If someone still thinks we are run by a democracy then you are total fools.

* As far as I know

Washington Post Article On This Topic

This is "old stuff" . Happened in 1990 ! Not sure why it it re-surfacing again on social media . Unless , as the Paki media has been speculating , the objective is to neutralize Zardari and clear the road for Imran Khan

Election Violence In Balochistan !

At least 15 dead, over 30 injured in attack on Siraj Raisani’s convoy in Mastung blast
QUETTA – At least 15 people have been killed and nearly three dozen others injured in a strong blast targetting an election meeting of Nawabzada Siraj Raisani in southern Pakistani province of Balochistan.Security sources said the explosion occurred in Darengarh area of Mastung.Raisani is a candidate of the recently-formed Balochistan Awami Party and is said to have been injured in the attack. He is younger brother of Nawab Aslam Raisani, former chief minister of Balochistan.
This is the third terrorist attack on a candidate ahead of general polls. Earlier on Friday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s leader Akram Khan Durrani’s convoy was attacked in Bannu, resulting in the death of four people and injuries to around a dozen others.
Durrani, who is contesting from NA-35 (Bannu), was returning from an election rally when his convoy was hit.
. The Pakistan security forces have not been able to "control" Balochistan . There is an almost civil war kind of a situation there !

From the above,
"Today, it pains me to see India a part of G20 Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends the summit and all we can do is watch. Let's convert this opportunity into making it Iqbal's Pakistan, it's only possible through free and fair elections," the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PMLN) president was quoted as saying by ANI.
That urge to equate Pakistan with India, unmindful of vast and unbridgeable differences, would never cease in Pakistan because that is a sure shot way to tug at the heart strings of common folks in Pakistan.

But, Iqbal never advocated economic theories to make Pakistan equal to India, did he? He, of course, founded the idea of partition, no doubt.

He was troubled by Western colonialism and felt that jihad was a legitimate Islamist tool to get rid of that. He echoed Sheikh Waliullah’s approach and rejected the then inclusive politics of the Indian National Congress. He appreciated the efforts of Syed Ahmed of Rae Bareli, who fought the Sikhs to establish a Muslim nation in the North Western Frontier Province (NWFP) in the period between 1826-1831. Allama Iqbal sowed the seeds of exclusivist ‘Muslim identity’ amongst the Indian Muslims, an approach that has ever since troubled the Pakistanis. Allama Iqbal subscribed to a worldwide view of Islam. Befittingly, the national poet of later day Pakistan, Allama Iqbal, was declared a kafir by the Islamist clergy, just as Jinnah too was !!

The Brazenness Of The Deep State ( IF this can be believed !)

NAB team reaches Abu Dhabi to arrest Sharifs: reports
LAHORE – A three-member team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reportedly reached United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz into custody. The anti-graft watchdog team would travel along the convicted father-daughter duo in the same flight and arrest them as the aircraft enters the Pakistani premises, Dunya News reported.
It is likely that the NAB will take them directly to Islamabad instead of Lahore in order to avoid any untoward situation.
If this is believable, then the Paki Deep State is going all out to make sure, that Nawaz does not become a "hero" when he arrives home !
Nawaz and Maryam Nawaz on Friday reached Abu Dhabi on their way back Pakistan to face the jail sentence awarded by an accountability court in the Avenfield reference. Both leaders of the PML-N is expected to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 6:15 pm today on a foreign airline, Etihad Airways, via Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, some officials in Pakistani embassy have quashed the rumours about arresting the convicts from Abu Dhabi airport, adding that there is no such law for it.

Some gems from the above:
He also claimed that countries such as Sri Lanka and Singapore owe their development to the blueprint initially proposed by Pakistan.
India surpassed us in various fields. We thought Bangladesh is a baggage and it slipped off our hands. Look at Sri Lanka, Singapore, China all of them worked on our blueprint and and today we've lagged behind.
Previously, pakis claimed to have helped Korea become what it is, started Emirates airline and now add Sri Lanka, Singapore, China to that list.
If NaMo's attendance at G20 causes this much takleef, imagine the heart burn and stomach upsets when they see India's economy grow by leaps & bounds :rotfl:

Just conducted a surreal press conference with Nawaz Sharif on the phone - he’s in a airport lounge in Abu Dhabi but apparently security won’t let reporters come in - so we huddled around a phone (in a different lounge) with the speaker on, top lines of what he said coming soon

I asked Nawaz Sharif if what’s happening in Pakistan amounted to a “de facto coup”? He said: “Those who are in charge would have to answer this question... This caretaker Govt they are not taking all these actions on their own. Someone is forcing them to take these actions.”
