a vast JMSDF parade, massing all their ships. a maritime and fighting people - they wont go down under dragon boots meekly

now if only
- they'd go nuclear instead of relying on a increasingly capricious US
- be less constipated about sharing/licensing their coveted naval techs with fellow but starving dharmics like Yindia

@ 5:11 there is a haunting footage of DDG Kirishima sailing at high speed....awe inspiring and poetic ...a cetacean...a living lady of pure beauty and grace

US and Cheen in the coming years will be like UK and Germany in the years leading up to WWI. It will be spiralling competition that will create incredible numbers and types to be built in both countries. This will force Japan and India to build or be left behind horrendously.

To have signs of two chini carriers being constructed in parallel in Shanghai and Dalian is absolutely insane and would never have occurred without this intense rivalry with the US.

The Japanese are in a worse position than India since geography means we will always have numercial advantage locally. The chini buildup to match the US will pump most of the PRC’s ship right into Japanese waters.

Intel report:

Latest rumor/leak on the chini mil watch forums said module construction for the CATOBAR in Shanghai began last year and assembly could begin as early as November.

Modules for the CATOBAR in Dalian were started in May of this year and we should see signs around August of next year when assembly will begin.

The kicker is one or both might be nuclear.

They just launched their 35th and 36th Beidou navigation satellites yesterday.

More impactful than the carriers for India. Because 36 is a lot of GPS sats for drone and mijjile targeting around the world while the carrriers might never enter the IOR.

I was checking out the battle of jutland
If there was ever a symphony of destruction , a galactic fleet level cagefight ... this was it ... a manthan a gotterdamerung a mortal kombat tournament run by satan himself

Literally 100s of ships from torpedo boat size to the ominous super dreadnought class milling around west of denmark in the fog and cold for 12 straight hours and raining shells on each other

Some ships took 25 solid hits but survived
Many blew up when magazine doors left open to speed up reload rates let in cordite fires
One 900t destroyer got sliced in half by a 20,000t dreadnought

8” shells considered light and “proper” shells being 15 inchers

6000 royal navy sailors lost lives

Er, Singha ji, unlike the Scharnhorst an Amreeki CVN has an air wing that can throw its punch a few thousand nautical miles before the wolf pack can close and engage. Not happening unless the carrier is dumb enough to have its air assets stripped by chini land-based aircraft.

If the CVN stays in blue water, the 054s can’t do anything no matter many there are. Here you need a Midway scenario — carrier vs carrier — to facilitate engagement.

Reported by our French chini watcher:
Restricted sailing zone, effective from August 25th 1800HR to September 7th 0800HR, possible related to sea trial of ac 002. Same location as ac 002's first sea trial.

Restricted my arse, that zone will be packed with US, Japanese and Korean subs and surveillance aircraft capturing signals and signature. (I’d like to imagine one of our kilos is on station out there too. A SSN will be passed the baton in thr future.)

Xian Factory Grounds — 8-9-2018.

Mass production continues apace for large planes — 10 Y-20s and 11 H-6s.

But more importantly, on the extreme upper right corner among the cluster of Y-7s is a seemingly smaller twin engine plane with a radome. This could be the carrier AWACS KJ-600 which is based on the Y-7.

Something seems odd about this picture. Too many planes crowded in a small area, with no telltale exhaust and tire marks or the usual oil spills.

In WWII, the allies built an elaborate hoax – using rubber tanks, canvas ships, plywood aircraft, and even dummy soldiers to fool the Germans. Since there are no ground level visual confirmations, could this be another ruse by the chinis to fool enemy spy satellites? Also note that this supposedly "spy" photo has been posted by a chini teetar. I question how an "oldinaly" chini would get hold of such a photo and why would Unca' Eleven permit such a photo to be published on a public fora unless it was a set up?

My skeptical keeps wondering.

Good to be skeptical but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Because

1) pictures of this type can be gotten on google earth,

2) tweeter is a Japanese mil watcher,

3) this is a factory not an operational airbase so unlikely that we’ll see a lot of skid marks or oil leaks; and unlikely to have decoys; besides which the Y-20, H-6 and Y-7 are very large planes to replicate as decoys.

Of course, it can still be an elaborate ruse. But I don’t see anything useful in insisting it is just propaganda. If it is real then we better use this to up our game. If it is fake then we should still use it to up our game.

Look at the US, what makes them put out reports on the chini buildup year after year when the US budget is four times the chini one? You think they care if the J-20 is just propaganda? They’ll cover all bases irregardless.

There will be 3000 F-35s to make sure those reports are not just propaganda.

We should have the same attitude.

Fakes and decoys are inherently defensive bluffs. You cannot attack with fakes and decoys. When you use non-existent weapon systems, you are telling people “don’t attack me, I have tons of stuff that you, ah, can’t see right now but they are there on our territory.”

So insisting that these numbers are fake means we are just hoping that Cheen is a defensive nation who is no threat with a bunch of decoys. That MIGHT be true. But it is a rather risky assessment. IMHO, those ships and planes overrunning the SCS “peacefully” are probably not fakes because I don’t see nations giving way to rubber boats and plastic airplanes.

Now contrast that mentality to the Amreekis when they see these pictures. The Pentagon rushes these things to Congress and ups their budget, R&D and strategy. If the chinis are just using fakes so what? It will still result in $200B extra funding.

Use these satellite photos as incentive at the very least. If they are fake and you think they are real, it doesn’t hurt you (unless you are planning to attack Cheen and the decoys deter you.) But if they are real and you think they are fake then the consequences could be very dire indeed.

The J-20 program was always helped by having the Al-31 and WS-10 around as a stopgap. Now it looks like the WS-15 engine designed for it is ready.

Their engine industry is maturing. Look at the TVC WS-10X mounted on a single-engined J-10 testbed above. It was always a matter of time getting to the right number of iterations. They never give up on an inferior domestic product but build and rebuild variants until they have something usable.

China ‘nearing mass production’ of J-20 stealth fighter after engine problems ironed out

Minnie Chan
UPDATED : Wednesday, 5 Sep 2018, 9:20AM

A new and improved engine designed to make China’s J-20 stealth fighter a world-class combat jet should be ready for mass production by the end of the year, military sources have said.

The WS-15 engine features cutting-edge single-crystal turbine blades and has been in development for several years, but Chinese technicians have struggled to get it into mass production.

However, many of the problems – which largely related to blades overheating at top speeds – have been ironed out in ground tests and trial flights, putting the goal of a consistently high quality product in sight, sources told the South China Morning Post.

...

Beijing-based military expert Zhou Chenming said that China expected the US to deploy between 200 and 300 F-35s – its most advanced stealth fighter – in the Asia-Pacific by 2025, which meant “China needs a similar number of J-20s, or at least 200”.

...

The sources’ claims add weight to an April report by state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) that said Chengdu Aerospace Corporation, which manufactures the J-20, was set to open a fourth production line for the stealth fighter in 2019.

And last month CCTV reported that China’s air force had stepped up its training programme for J-20 pilots.

...

The Post reported in February that the J-20 at that time was fitted with a “stopgap” engine.

One of the military sources said the public could get its first glimpse of the new stealth fighter, complete with its upgraded engine, at the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition later in the year.

Now the J-15 is getting a new mass produced WS-10 engine variant.

For all its faults the J-15 is gonna be their main carrier plane for the foreseeable future with at least four carriers by 2030. Any stealth like the FC-31 or a J-20 naval variant are years away and even then they will be in mixed complements.

Engine boost for China’s J-15 fighter jets as Beijing tries to build up navy

An improved engine for the aircraft carrier-based warplanes is close to mass production, military analysts say

Minnie Chan
UPDATED : Friday, 7 Sep 2018, 10:37AM

China is moving closer to mass-producing an improved engine with a longer lifespan and more power for its first aircraft carrier-based fighter jet, the J-15, according to military analysts.

...

Details about the WS-10H emerged after military sources told the South China Morning Post this week that a new and improved engine for China’s J-20 stealth fighter would be ready for mass production by the end of the year.

...

China plans to have at least four aircraft carrier groups operating by 2030 as it tries to build up a blue-water navy that can operate globally. That would mean the Chinese navy will need at least 130 carrier-based fighter jets in service by 2030. At the moment, the J-15 is the only carrier-based warplane in service – and the PLA Navy has less than 30 of them.

...

Many of China’s home-grown fighter jets have had problems with their engines, aircraft design and modifications. Sources earlier told the Post there had been at least four crashes involving the J-15, though only two of them were reported by state media.

...

Leading the way on developing and producing aircraft engines and gas turbines in recent years is state-owned Aero Engine. The company, which has about 10,000 employees, was formed two years ago through the merger of 24 subsidiaries of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).

AVIC’s former chairman, Lin Zuoming, told state media last year that its latest single-crystal turbine blades – used in the WS-10 series engines – can now withstand temperatures of up to 2,000 degrees Celsius (3,632 Fahrenheit). He said that development had extended the engine’s lifespan from 800 to 1,500 hours.

Chinis are all SP for their artillery. They have truck mounted 105,122,152,155. The one above is European style MGS. Others are bare bones. Ofcourse they have the usual 155 MM tracked SPH.

PLZ-05 SPH, seem to have a autoloader, but a manual traversing of the turret. The thing seems to have really bad recoil after firing a round and the platform shakes all over the place. I could not find a video of PLZ-05 firing multiple rounds. Their M777 clone is also very unstable. Compare to this K9 is very stable and videos of it firing multiple rounds are available.

Curiously, their towed artillery offering is very poor. They have old soviet style 155MM towed in tibet. And truck & wheel 120/122MM in tibet. They don't have anything similar to Bofors in tibet. Nor they have a towed for export, coming even close to our old Bofors.

Very peculiar, because they could have sold a Bofors equivalent to their rent boy quite easily.

We seems to be all gun-ho about towed, where as Chinis virtually nothing. Someone will be wrong, when the balloon goes up.

Edit: Just for comparison, our ATAGS can do 6 rounds in 30 sec. That is equal to what can be done by uber-TFTA Panzerhaubitze 2000!

Why engine 'breakthrough' for China's stealth fighter should worry India
https://www.theweek.in/news/world/2018/ ... ction.html
On Wednesday, the South China Morning Post quoted Chinese military sources as saying developers had rectified overheating problems with the fan blades of the WS-15 engine powering the J-20. The WS-15 is speculated to be capable of producing up to 133 kilonewtons of thrust. The WS-15 is considered vital to enhancing the J-20's capabilities as Russia has been reluctant to part with its latest technology given China's alleged history of espionage and reverse-engineering.

I posted the WS-15 for J-20 and the WS-10H for the J-15 above.

Nothing really changed. The J-20 (and J-15) we already knew. We still own overwhelming advantages along the border and in the IOR.

So let’s not shiver (or conversely think it is all just propaganda.)

The proper response is to take chini advances (or propaganda of advances) as a challenge to drive our own industries forward.

Good old fashioned brainwashing techniques...

Interesting how quiet the OIC, Saudi Arabia and all the Islamic heros are while this is going on a mass scale.

^^^ For that ideology, there might be no other way. Imagine if the Gujuratis had not retaliated in force after the Godhra train burning. Where would we be now?

The hans are just more organized and overwhelming in their retaliation after the mass knifing by muzzies at one of their train stations. You kill 50 of ours and we’ll kill and imprison a million of yours. And we’ll brainwash the disease out of your next generation too.

The fact that they will do this in front of their highest and deepest muzzie allies means they put their own security above everything else — something we should take note of. We won’t lift a finger against an invasion of MILLIONS from Beedee for fear of insulting a muzzie “moderate” state.

Chinese Fishermen Wage "Hybrid War" On Asian Seas

Image
The U.S. Department of Defense’s annual report to Congress, released in August, detailed military and security developments of the Chinese armed forces and drew attention to the “People’s Armed Forces Maritime Militia” (PAFMM), a weaponized fishing fleet funded by Beijing - a new asset for low-intensity maritime confrontations, and a forward screen for its growing military force in the South China Sea.
