PM Imran Khan to visit Saudi Arabia next week: report
The News International
Sept 14, 2018
ISLAMABAD: PTI chairman Imran Khan is likely to make his first foreign visit as Prime Minister of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia next week, Geo News reported. Quoting sources Geo reported that Foreign Affairs Ministry is making preparations for the prime minister's visit to the Kingdom in coordination with Saudi officials. The visit comes two days after Saudi Information Minister visited Pakistan and met with Prime Minister Khan and other top civil and military officials.
Saudi money diplomacy at its very best . The Kaptaan and his country cannot resist the dangling of $ 10 Billion, which IF ( A big IF IMHO) true, will avoid Pakistan going to the usual lender (IMF) and all its ramifications regarding H&D ( bowing to Massa,) the renegotiation of the CPEC "mess", the "bitter medicine" of privatization, increase in taxes and utilities, the abandoning of the Malsic Farewell State which the Kaptaan has "promised" . With Saudia money , it will be a "breeze ". No "formal" agreement, pay at your own pace , IF, sharia compliant, Pakis will pay no interest  . But Saudis will offer extract their own price : Iran bonhomie must stop forthwith ! "Forget" about Iran - Pakistan gas pipeline !

Paki Female MNA Blast's Kaptaan About Turning Ganja' Isloo Palace Into An University !

Nafisa Shah continues to attack PTI's decision of turning PM House into university
The News International
Sept 14, 2018
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Nafisa Shah continued expressing her displeasure on Friday at the government’s decision of turning the PM House into a university.
The PPP leader uttered her disapproval at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s decision of turning the Prime Minister House into a post-graduate educational institution claiming the property is not under PM Imran Khan’s personal possession.
Parliamentary approval required !!!
Taking to Twitter, Shah continued her thread of condemning tweets on Friday saying: "So does #PTI expect that future prime minister's will park themselves in Islamabad's Guest houses and when foreign dignatories come host them in Shadi halls in Pindi? #PMHouse"
Earlier on Thursday the PPP leader had criticized the government's decision as well saying: “The PM House is not the personal property of Imran Khan. He should convert his own Bani Gala 'Mahal' (mansion) into a university,” she had tweeted.
Nafisa is using Tweeter as a "free medium" to hurl "cheap shots" at the Kaptaan Of The PTI Team .
She had gone on to bring focus on PM Khan’s Bani Gala residence saying: “300 canal property of Bani Gala is a very good location. Let’s start with Bani Gala Institute of Agroforestry there.”
Why not lease it to the Premier Institution ( ISI ) and convert it into a training camp for "freedom fighters" , just like Sheikh Rashid ( Railway Minister ) did with his spare land located at Fatehjang, near Pindi !
Moreover, Shah stressed: “I am all for universities&colleges but Islamabad a city of 12 lakh people has 20 Universities&100 colleges& each of them needs more resources to improve their quality. ( what exactly is taught in these "universities" besides Paki and Islamic Ideology  ) #PMHouse is an institution not simply a residence. It's sad that #PTI is resorting 2such cheap stunts.”
It was announced on Thursday by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood the government’s decision to utilise the land of the Prime Minister House for establishing a post-graduate educational institute.
More importantly , where is the monies coming from for these" pie in the sky" projects !

Ex US Emb To Pakiland Says That Immy Is Toxically Related To Donald Trump

Populism’s mirrors
William Malam - Friday Times
Sept 14, 2018
Populism is a “thin” ideology political scientists would tell us. It has only one fixed tenet: the centrality of “the people.” But populist politicians don’t mean all people, just those morally good people that share certain values and mindset, most often the same values and mindset that the populist politician professes, though not always—there are demagogues among them. Populist politicians almost always contrast “the people” with “the elite,” who they claim are corrupt and ignore the will of the people. As these politicians can’t really be taken seriously with this one thin ideology, they add other ideologies that fit their personality and their mindset. There are left-wing populists, who espouse socialism or other radical ideologies of the left, but most populists are right-wing. Ideologies such as nationalism or fascism predominate in the populist world. Imran Khan joins a rapidly expanding group of populist leaders, most of whom face serious problems that their basic populism doesn’t really address.
Wow! That is quite an indictment of the Kaptaan, even before the honeymoon phase is even over
I wonder sometimes, given their grab bag of ideologies, if these leaders don’t need to keep checking their mirrors to be sure of their identity. Given the frightful problems facing him, I suspect Khan checks his mirror frequently.
Last week, while still in California, an old friend who keeps up with world events, mentioned over lunch rather casually that Imran Khan was, like Donald Trump, a populist. That seems the general perception here, and derives I am sure (as with my friend) from the fact that he, like Trump, had campaigned on a platform which focused on corruption. This is, of course, a general fact among populist politicians; they all promise to root out the corruption that more traditional political leaders are thought to tolerate and even share. But aside from their focus on corruption, what can we expect from populist leaders. I suppose the answer to that is it depends on what other ideologies they have adopted, how well they have learned them, and how much they believe in them.
Does Malam know that Immy has "studied" in Oxford. Has a so-called degree from there, and "specializes" in politics, philosophy - not Islami ! , and Economics ( he has been inflicting Voodoo Economics on the unsuspecting awaam of Pakistan !)
So perhaps we can start with the assumption that Imran Khan’s instincts will be to look through the populist prism as he stares at these complicated short-term and profound long-term problems and receives advice on how to handle them from his ministers and from the Economic Advisory Council he has just appointed. This assumption is not just based on the fact he campaigned mainly against corruption; it is buttressed by at least one action he has taken, and a number of statements he has made since his election.
For example, he said “[W]e are standing with Article 295-C and will defend it” when a Dutch right-wing politician threatened to insult the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), and I think he even considered leading a multilateral reaction against the Netherlands which became moot when the Dutch politician backed off his threat. This was calculated to enhance his populist credentials with his supporters in a way I will cover below. A second example is his dismissal from the Economic Advisory Council of a well-known and highly-respected economist when it came to be known that this person was a member of a sect considered heretical by the religious right in Pakistan. As this dismissal led to the resignations of two other respected economists, it could mean a serious wound to that Council.
Immy has "nothing" to do with the Dutch politico backing away from the "contest". And of course, Imran buckled to Islami pressure under the advice of his Religious Minister !
I am indebted in this paragraph to Dr. Ali Usman Qasmi who, drawing from work done by other scholars as well as his own analysis in these pages last week, has led me to understand why the statement and action described in the previous paragraph would reflect Khan’s populist instincts as well as his religious conservatism. Mr. Qasmi describes the rise of a new and generally younger segment of the population into the middle class of Pakistan, and in fact, this new middle class has become a separate but politically influential part of voting public. It comes mainly from the salaried workers of the growing service sector, instead of the doctors, lawyers and salaried government and industry sector workers that made up a smaller middle class in previous decades and sees modernisation differently than the more traditional old middle class. According to Mr. Qasmi, unlike the traditional middle class, the new middle-class views modernization through the lens of religion and especially the now-widely held principle of the affirmation of faith. Another characteristic or this new middle class is its aspiration to consume; it has driven the consumption boom of the past few years. But this aspiration has a dark side because of the income disparities in the new middle class, and this creates frustration among many and fuels its anti-status quo feelings as well as a hatred of corruption. It is this new middle class that is the core or Khan’s support, drawn by his anti-corruption, anti-elite populist message, and gave him the votes to become Prime Minister. And this is why I interpret his statement about Article 295c and his dismissal of the economist as acts inspired by his populist beliefs, which would be clearly supported by his core supporters. In this sense he is like Trump, who also pushes forward on policies which please his core supporters despite being rejected by the majority of Americans.
As I see it, Imran Khan is a leader between a rock and a hard place, and with no exit. He is a political leader with populist instincts and a core of support from a newly emerged middle class, probably, in figurative terms, feeling its oats after being told it elected him, which digs his populist philosophy as consistent with its general philosophy of religiosity and consumerism.
Consumerism and Malsi should not mix ( in theory onlee !) .
He is also a political leader who is prime minister because the army put him there and has already shown it has his back—as long as he behaves and doesn’t tread on its toes. Moreover, he has a superior partner in the army which has long been the most conspicuous consumer in the country, consuming up to 3.5 percent of its national product and 10-15 percent of its national budget. And he now is the political leader of a nation which has been consuming more than it produces for several decades and has required several bailouts which, although designed to rectify the long-term structural deficiencies in revenue collection and economic efficiency, have failed to do so, and now faces what may well be a catastrophic balance of payments crisis.
Inshallah, Saudi Arabia will come to the rescue of the First Islamic Atomi Takat with a ten Billion Dollar package ( AKA Pakistan !) and the kuffar IMF Dollars will now be required
Who takes the hit if, as I suspect will happen, Pakistan ends up going to the IMF to help it out of the balance of payments crunch? Populist leaders generally don’t want to deal with the IMF on such occasions as it is usually their constituents that bear the brunt. That would appear to be the case if Pakistan ends up with a Fund program. With a sizeable depreciation/devaluation of the rupee raising import prices considerably and spurring inflation, severe fiscal stringency probably slowing the economy more that increased exports would stimulate it, incomes would fall, and the segments of the middle class, including the new middle class of Khan supporters would suffer. It seems unlikely that army would reduce its usual share of the pie by much. Some populist leaders might threaten the ultimate bombshell—default. ( Late Gen Hamid Gul was in favour of this option !) But I doubt he could get away with that as either the coalition would dissolve over it or the Army would veto it
The alternatives are not good. I think Khan is sort of wedged in. His plight reminds me of the first movie I ever saw, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, taken from Grimms Fairy Tales, in which the forlorn queen kept checking her mirror to ask if she was still the fairest in the land. That is why I asked my talented niece, Naomi Stults, to do the drawing that comes with this article.

According to his unsubstantiated rumour of TFT , Ganja Sharif "Security Czar" ( Ch. Nisar ) popularly known as "Mr Bean" is presently in negotiation with The Khan for a National Assembly Seat under the aegis of The Great Khan. Will he get the coveted post of Interior Ministry (Imran is currently warming the seat as Head Of Interior Ministership !) because of his connections to the Deep State
The Great Mughal
Mr Beane hear the namesake of the first Mughal emperor was given short shrift when he resisted The Great Khan’s command to quit, because the Mughal has an outstanding issue with the NABbers. Logic would’ve dictated that he not be named to the cabinet in the first place but The Khan is a law unto himself and can take U Turns when he pleases. So, when it became clear that the Mughal was a no-no, The Khan asked his henchman to do the needful. The Mughal turned a deaf ear. Finally, he was called to Bunny Gala and given his marching orders in front of many party stalwarts.
Rumour has it that although Mr Bean has won a berth in the Punjab, he hasn’t turned up to claim his seat. This may be, they say, because he is in negotiations with The Great Khan for his ticket to the National Assembly. Whatever the truth, Mr Bean is caught between his friendship with The Man of Steel’s Talented Bro and his old Aitchisonian ties with The Great Khan.

Najam Sethi Lists A Litany Of Injustice Done To Ganja Sharif And His Family By The Paki Deep State !

Chronicle of a death foretold
Friday Times
Najam Sethi
Sept 14, 2018
POSTED IN FULL !
The passing of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz Sharif in a faraway clinic in London without her husband and daughter in attendance has revealed a particularly ugly dimension of politics and justice in Pakistan.
No need to be said, but Sethi was always portrayed as an agent of Ganja !
A year ago Begum Kulsoom was diagnosed with throat cancer. When Maryam and Nawaz Sharif sought permission from court hearings to attend to her terminal illness in London, they were denied it except on one occasion. Later, when they sought bail pending an appeal against their conviction in one case so that they could be by her side in her last moments, this too was denied. It may be recalled that, on the sole occasion when they were permitted to travel to London to meet her, both duly returned to Pakistan to face a predictable verdict of guilty and imprisonment on the eve of the general elections.
In that respect, one has to admit that Ganja has more guts, than the current PM, who capitulated to the Islam Brigade in the matter of Atif Mian and the EAC !
Maryam and Nawaz Sharif’s trials and tribulations must rank as one of the most unjust episodes in Pakistan’s judicial history. As a thrice elected prime minister, he was hounded for two years before being hung out to dry as a local Don Corleone by a judicial verdict pegged to an insignificant “undeclared but unreceived” income accrued during the term of his exile abroad on the orders of a military dictator. Later, he was denied exemption from over 100 personal appearances in the courts, even though the record showed that two ex-prime ministers, Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf, facing far more serious corruption charges, had been granted permanent exemption from such appearance. On several occasions – September 2017, February 2018, March 2018 and June 2018 – both Maryam and Nawaz Sharif cited Kulsoom’s deteriorating condition in a London clinic as a reason for seeking relief so that they could see her but on all save one occasion, in November 2017, this was denied.
When an objective history of Pakiland is written, the physical and mental torture of Ex PMs is sure to find a place a prominent place in the journal !
The response of certain leading politicians and media persons to the Sharifs’ predicament has been disgusting. A clutch of leading lights of the PPP, some renowned for their services to the cause of justice and human rights, publicly mocked the Sharifs for drumming up the “stunt” of Kulsoom’s terminal illness to evoke public sympathy and evade imprisonment. Conspiracy theories were also advanced to argue that the Harley Street clinic in which she was being treated in London was not a proper hospital for cancer treatment and was only issuing false reports of her illness because it was partly owned by the Sharifs. In the same ugly vein, over a dozen pro-establishment TV “analysts” constantly peddled such lies day and night. We refrain from naming names because a few have had the decency to apologise for their behavior.
Drama and conspiracy theories are too common in Pakiland , therefore sometimes it is "difficult" to separate fact from fiction and fantasy
During this time, we have perceived how pressure has been exerted on judges high and low to give “suitable” judgments against the Sharifs. Some good judges have recused themselves from the trials rather than become handmaidens to injustice while other similarly non-complaint ones have been shunted from one bench to another, and so on. It is one long tale of inhumanity and injustice.
Whatever happened to "Justice" Shaukat Siddiqui who made a sudden U Turn against the Deep State , when he fall out of favour with CJP Saquib. And now has been accused of "corruption and abuse of power" and even now resorted to "bad mouthing" The Premiere Institution of Pakiland ( ISI )
For Nawaz Sharif, this is another painful stake in his heart. One state-actor did not allow him to bury his father in Lahore. Another has not allowed him to attend to his wife’s illness and only paroled him for five days so that he can bury her in Lahore. The scars of the first have not healed even as new emotional wounds are being inflicted upon him.
Tragically, there is a history of such injustice and inhumanity of state-actors against Pakistan’s politicians. The people’s prime minister, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was convicted for murder on the bare confession of an approver, kept in solitary confinement and executed in a prison yard. Dr Nasim Hasan Shah, one of the honourable judges who sent him to the gallows, later wrote a mea culpa admitting how he and his fellow judges were pressured to hold him guilty. Mr Bhutto’s brave daughter, Benazir, was imprisoned and exiled, kicked out of office twice and finally assassinated. She was buried in the family graveyard along with her two murdered brothers and father.
This is of course not to say - as Hajam Sethi makes out - that the Bhuttos were innocent as "lilies" . ZAB was the architect of the breakup of Pakiland and his daughter was the Godfather of the Taliban !
The assassination of reigning or aspiring Emperors, Kings, Queens, Princes, Nobles and Courtiers was common in medieval times. Where and when necessary, executions of political opponents were legitimized by the religio-judicial clergy. But modern democracies have evolved to sanction a separation of powers between the executive and legislature, install an independent judiciary with due process and place the military firmly under the control and command of elected civilians. By these yardsticks, as unfolding events continue to confirm, Pakistan is a pock-marked, stricken “democracy”.
Ganja Sharif - when he was in power- was more in the mould of a Mughal Padshah . Complete with a Private Zoo and a stuffed lion to boot , at his private palace in Jati Umra !
The political environment in which Begum Kulsum died in faraway London while her spouse and daughter were languishing in prison at home has created a sympathy wave amongst friends and foes alike. The injustice and inhumanity of it is palpable. Another bad memory is now firmly etched into the collective psyche of this nation. The chronicle of a death foretold will add to conflict in this bitterly divided nation.
Sethi is out of favour with the Present Khan !

This is interesting. Dawoodi Bohras are Shiites. Will the Sunni Bohras also invite Modi?

There are two types of Bohras - Shiite Bohras and Sunni Bohras (or Vohras). Curious if the Bohra community supported India's partition (like the qadianis)? There are only 2500 Bohris in pakhanistan, mostly in K'rachi.

From WikiBhaiJaan:
The Dawoodi Bohras are a sect within the Ismā'īlī branch of Shia Islam. The largest populations of Dawoodi Bohras reside in India, Pakistan, Yemen and East Africa. They pray three times a day...The Dawoodi Bohras, being Ismailis and thus Jafaris, were included as Muslims...The worldwide number of Dawoodi Bohras is estimated at just over one million.
Sunni Vahoras or Sunni Bohras are a community from the state of Gujarat in India. Sharing a large number of cultural similarities with the Dawoodi Bohras, they are often confused with that community. The community in Pakistan uses the surname "Vohra" and not Bohra and are commonly known as Sunni Vhoras. Another common surname is Patel. Some Vohra community lives in Saurashtra call Kathiawaar. Sunni Vohra mainly lives at Una Diu Delwada Junagadh Veraval Patan Jetpur Mangrol Porbandar and Pakistan at Karachi.

The Bohri population of Pakiland has been highly underestimated by you. :|

How large is the Dawoodi Bohras population in Pakistan?
There are 50,000 to 150,000 Dawoodi Bohras in Pakistan mainly concentrated in Karachi. There are few Bohra neighborhoods in Karachi but most all over the city. The Bohras mostly involved in business and well off community in Pakistan.

Wholesale Discrimination Against Minorities Continues Unabated In Pakiland !

Justice Delayed is Justice Denied
Naya Daur - By: Shamila Ghyas
Sept 5, 2018
In 2009, Aasiya Noreen, more commonly known as Asia Bibi drank water from a bowl which had belonged to fellow workers in a berry field.
That led to an argument because the women considered it a blasphemy that a Christian had drunk from the bowl of a Muslim.
Shades of caste system in Malsi
Soon enough, the uproar led to a full-scale blasphemy accusation, where they insisted that she had insulted the Prophet. Asia bibi and her family were then confronted by a mob that stormed her house, beating her and her family. The police rescued and subsequently arrested her.
The usual modus operandi in Pakiland to "trap" a kaffir
There are still educated families in Pakistan who disapprove of Christians touching their utensils and food. And these were illiterate laborers, so their thinking was even more bigoted than expected.
As for the fact, why would they lie? It was pointed out in court that this was to settle an old score. There were also discrepancies about what she actually said. Also, this would not be the first time for one to lie about such a thing.
Testimony of a Muslim accepted at face value. Testimony of a non -Muslim thrown out of the window !
A cleric, Hafiz Mohammed Khalid Chishti had lied about a 14-year-old girl, Rimsha Masih not so long ago. He accused her of desecrating and burning pages from the Quran, when in fact it was him who had planted the evidence in hopes to install enough fear in neighboring Christians that they leave the area altogether. Do note, he desecrated the pages himself, thus committing ‘blasphemy’. Rimsha was jailed, but eventually acquitted. She and her family were shifted to Canada on humanitarian grounds, because even though she was proven innocent, her life would still remain in danger in Pakistan.
The "Pureland" is slowly and surely being cleansed of kaffirs
The cleric, by the way, freely leads a normal ‘respectable’ life today even after deliberately trying to have a child killed by lying. So, the fact that a Muslim would not lie about such a thing is just plain hogwash. A liar is a liar, irrespective of his or her religion.Besides, no one is that stupid to actually commit blasphemy in the open knowing that the punishment by law is execution. And if that doesn’t happen, even a rumor is enough for a mob to lynch them. Do not forget what happened to Mashal Khan.
When it comes to religion or The Book, the whole of Pakiland is on an edge for the so many years now !
Going back to Asia bibi, she has now been in jail for over 8 years. She is kept mostly in solitary confinement in an 8 by 10 cell. She is kept away from other prisoners because more than likely she would be killed by them. She even cooks her own food, to prevent it from being poisoned. It is documented that she has also suffered physical abuse from prison guards. She is extremely weak and frail.
Where are the guardians of Human Rights , who have their HQ either in London, Geneva, New York or Washington DC. And of course, the new "Human Rights" " Minister Jalebi
Eight years for an innocent woman to be going through this. It is nothing less than cruel.
Agree 100% !

95% of global sectarian violence focused on Shias, reveals report - Usman Kabir

KARACHI: Ninety five per cent of sectarian violence all over the world in 2017 was focused on the Shia community, according to a report released by Global Extremism Monitor.

The report was published by Tony Blair Institute for Global Change on Thursday and called on the world to fully engage in a battle of ideas with the extremists to halt the spread of violence.

According to the study, Pakistan was on a list of countries most affected by violent religious extremism despite lying outside the major conflict zones.

Pakistanis least protected against terrorism, armed conflict: WJP

Over 1,489 people were killed by groups that claimed to fight in the name of religion all over the country in 2017, the report reveals. This figure includes as many as 247 civilians who were killed in sectarian terrorist attacks in Pakistan in 2017.

Other key findings highlighted in the report underlined that religious extremist groups were fast transforming into transnational actors, which carried out sustained campaigns against the civilian population and weakened state governments.

Global Extremism Monitor also underlined that sectarianism was the founding ideology of the deadliest and most active terror groups. In addition to these warnings, the report noted that extremist groups used executions and suicide bombings as a terror tactic and exploited religious doctrines on the nature of war in this regard.

Pakistan ‘underachieving’ as 14th most powerful country in Asia: report

Another important issue mentioned in the report refers to the increasing participation of women in terrorist attacks globally and the terrible continuation of violence in Syria. According to figures released by the international group, more than half of civilian casualties from global terrorism in 2017 were recorded in Syria.

The Monitor also gave a detailed picture of terrorist incidents in 10 of the most violent countries in the world, including Pakistan.

Non-Sunni population under attack in Pakistan

Over 1,489 people were killed in 2017 by groups which claimed to fight in the name of religion in Pakistan, according to the report.

The study also noted that terrorists in the country seemed to be working on a two point-agenda, with some extremists seeking to undermine the Pakistani state, while others targeting Shia community and minority groups.

Location------------Perpetrator-----------------------------------------Description
Sehwan, Sindh-----Islamic State----------------------A suicide bomber attacked Sehwan Sharif, killing at least 90 people

Lahore, Punjab----Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan-----A suicide attack killed 26 civilians
Parachinar, K-P----Lashkar-e-Jhangvi----------------At least 25 were killed after a bomb detonated at a market
Parachinar, K-P----Jamaatul Ahrah-------------------A car bomb targeted a Shia mosque, killing 22 civilians

The research also reveals that at least 12 terror groups were active in the country over the course of 2017, and seven of them launched terror attacks.

Pakistani media ‘most vibrant’ in Asia, threatened by powerful groups inside country: RSF

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was the deadliest, and managed to kill 173 people in the year. TTP hit civilians, government figures, media personalities and security forces in a systematic campaign to undermine the state of Pakistan.

According to Global Extremism Monitor, TTP was responsible for a number of attacks on educational institutes in the country throughout the year, and even told the media that the attacks were a response to Pakistan taking action against the families of militants.

Another disturbing trend highlighted in the report is the enhancement of relationship between different terror groups in Pakistan, evidenced by TTP claiming responsibility for an IED explosion, carried out in retaliation for the killing of Asif Chotu, a member of sectarian terror outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).

The study also notes that 247 civilians were killed in sectarian violence perpetrated by the terror groups. Around 136 of these causalities were Shia community members, and over 36 per cent of the attacks on civilian targets took place in Balochistan.

Civilian authorities in Pakistan maintain effective control over security forces, says US govt report

Factions of sectarian outfits affiliated with LeJ also pledged allegiance to Islamic State (IS) in 2017, which is expected to further inflame tensions in the region at large, underlined the Monitor.

The report also stresses that in addition to these terror groups, there were several local extremist organisations which did not initiate attacks themselves, but were instrumental in providing a platform for larger terror outfits to wreak havoc in the region.

Delving into some detail about LeJ, the Monitor notes that the outfit tended to focus more than half of all violent activity on attacking soft targets, like civilians or government buildings and staff. LeJ was also identified as the third largest perpetrator of attacks against civilians in the world, ahead of Boko Haram in Nigeria and IS in Afghanistan. Besides LeJ, two other groups Jamaatul Ahrar and TTP also launched attacks on the Shia community in the country.

Manzoor Pashteen And Others In The Cross Hairs Of The Deep State !

KP police issue arrest warrants for PTM’s Manzoor Pashteen, Ali Wazir
Sept 14, 2018
PESHAWAR – Authorities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Friday issued arrest warrants for Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen, Members National Assembly (MNA) Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar, father of APS victim Fazal Advocate and five others. A letter issued by a senior police official in Swabi declared Pashteen, Wazir, Dr Said Alam Masood, Fazal Advocate, Khan Zaman, Mohsin Dawood (Dawar), Samad Khan and Noor ul Salam as proclaimed offenders.
KP Province is of course "ruled" by PTI - Imran's Party !
While speaking to a local media outlet, Swabi Police said that the superintendent of police (SP) investigation wrote to the political agents of North and South Waziristan seeking the arrest of the PTM leaders.
The move comes in the wake of a gathering held for the recovery of missing persons by the movement on August 28. ( So, it looks more like a "revenge" action  ) The PTM had conducted the event despite local administration barring them from doing so.
According to the FIR, PTM workers held a gathering at cricket stadium in Swabi’s Shah Mansoor Town without required NOC from authorities. In the jalsa, the PTM chief and others made contemptuous statements against state institutions.
The PTM, formerly Mehsud Tahaffuz Movement, gained momentum following the extra-judicial murder of Naqeebullah Mehsud in Karachi. It sought capital punishment for the prime suspect in Naqeebullah murder case, former SSP Malir Rao Anwar, recovery of missing persons and removal of landmines in tribal areas.
Justice is NOT done in this case, in spite of Naqibullah's father personally meeting the "real PM" of Pakiland , Gen Bajwa, in Waziristan !

No money to run country: PM
:((
Urging civil servants to fully support the ambitious reforms agenda of the government since it is aimed at securing future generations, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said the country is short of funds and there is a need to pull together.
"The salaries are not enough for them to survive"
It is not for me, it is for our children.(Think of the children!)
We don't have the money to run our country. Majority of the population is young and looking for jobs.
Maybe God has created this crisis because He wants us to change.
We have so many universities here that feature in the top 500 in the world.
I've made a lot of mistakes myself. It isn't a bad thing.
I give you my assurance that if you have committed any mistakes, I will stand with you and ensure that there is no undue pressure on you
I recognise that this is a difficult time, inflation is high, and your salaries don't match your qualifications. But if you decide to make it through the next two years, you can write it down that if we fix our governance in these two years, there will be so much money [to go around] in this country.
Pakistan will be attractive in the world as an investment and tourist destination.
If you perform for my country, we will stand with you and help you.
His country?

Dams need billions of dollars, not peanuts offered by expats, Dam
Now they are insulting the expats!
Total donations from abroad received for Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan’s Dam fund till September 13 (Thursday) is only $1.48 million (Rs181 million).
According to the updated total figure received so far, as reflected on Supreme Court’s website till 4:30pm September 14, is Rs3.2 billion.
According to experts, construction of the Diamer Bhasha Dam alone will require $14 billion
A comparison of the SBP data of Sept 13 with Sept 14 shows addition of almost $200,000 in 24 hours.
Interestingly, funds of Rs33,491 from India has also been received by the SBP.
From overseas Pakistanis in Turkey, the fund received only Rs3,500
These figures received from abroad, negates the propaganda about huge donations made by some overseas Pakistanis, who are considered billionaires.

US expresses concern over SC decision, JuD activities
The Trump administration has expressed deep concern over Pakistani Supreme Court's permission to Hafiz Saeed's organisation Jamaatud Dawa and its affiliates to continue their activities in the country.
Commenting on the court's decision, the State Department reacted by saying that "this development will jeopardize Pakistan's ability to meet its commitments under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1267 to freeze and prevent the raising and moving of funds belonging to or associated with UN designated terrorist groups."
"This development underscores the importance of Pakistan urgently enacting legislation that formally proscribes Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation (FiF), as the Pakistani government indicated it planned to by way of following up its Presidential Ordinance on February 9, 2018."
The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday rejected the federal government's plea against a Lahore High Court interim order allowing Jamaatud Dawa and its affiliated Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation to continue their charity work in the country.
Hafiz Saeed was also declared as a global terrorist. In April 2012, the US announced a bounty of 10 million dollars on Hafiz Saeed for his alleged role in the 2008 Mumbai attack.

Another "Feel Good" Story Like Transgenders Have Equal Rights And Discrimination Against Minorities Is Prohibited Under Pakistan's Constitution

Human rights ministry launches awareness drive about women's right to inheritance
Dawn
Sept 15, 2018
The Ministry of Human Rights has launched an awareness campaign to educate people about the rights of women to inheritance under Islamic jurisprudence and the Constitution. The announcement in this regard was made on Friday through the PTI's official Twitter account.

In Pakistan, it is always "mandatory" to invoke the name of Islam in any pronouncement ( something like politico Immy or COAS Bajwa's speech is always prologued with Bismillah O Rehman O Rahim . But in reality it means zilch ! )
Speaking on the matter, in a video message released by the ministry, Council of Islamic Ideology Chairman Dr Qibla Ijaz said, "It is shameful that women are talked out of their inheritance through emotional blackmail and family pressure."
Are Paki women educated ? Does not The Book say that women should obey their husband 24/7 including the Abdul's "demand" for sexual satisfaction ? And what about Sharia which states that women's testimony is half of the man ? And three witnesses are needed to "prove" rape allegations ?
In a statement issued to mark the launch of the campaign, the PTI said: "Women’s right to inheritance has been one of the cornerstones of PM Imran Khan’s struggle for equality and justice in Pakistan. We are proud to announce that the Ministry of Human Rights will be launching a nationwide campaign to educate people on this issue."
On a personal level, The Peerni should set an example and shred her burkha/niqab and uncover her face as a sign of woman empowerment !
Through this campaign, the ministry aims to educate people about the religious and legal protection provided to women right to inheritance in Pakistan. :((
"Islam and Pakistan's Constitution offer clear guidance on the matter. Articles 23 and 24 of the 1973 Constitution furnishes complete details regarding matters of inheritance and provides clear guidelines regarding women's rights in this regard," Dr Ijaz said. Article 23 of the 1973 Constitution states: "Provision as to property. Every citizen shall have the right to acquire, hold and dispose of property in any part of Pakistan, subject to the Constitution and any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the public interest."
Start first with eliminating "honour killings" first !
Moreover, a helpline — 1099 — has been launched by the ministry to provide free legal advice on the matter.

CJP Nisar Threatens To Use "Danda" To Silence Dam Critics !

CJP Nisar warns of initiating high treason cases against dams’ enemies
Sept 15, 2018
LAHORE – Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, who seems sensitive about water issues in country, on Saturday warned of initiating high treason cases against those who will try to hinder construction of dams. The top judge, who has also launched fund raising for dams, gave the remarks while hearing a suo motu case against mineral water companies at apex court’s Lahore Registry. He warned that an action under Article 6 of the Constitution will be taken against the enemies of dams, adding that he had started studying the said Article.
Ever since he appointed himself as "Ambassador For Water", Saquib has been fighting bazaar rumours which allege that there is no accountability for the monies collected for "dam" and that the mones collected is going to his "retirement fund" .
On September 12, Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar gave ‘last warning’ to those who were criticising the Supreme Court initiative to collect funds for the construction of Diamer Basha and Mohmand dams. The Chief Justice made it clear that the top court was not doing politics, adding that steps are being taken to serve the public. Justice Nisar said the construction of water reservoirs is essential and will save the country from shortage of water.
There were earlier unsubstantiated rumours that the CJP was "exercising his authority" and "forcing" people to contribute to the Dam Fund under duress , whether they like it or not . If they contribute, they were "let go" of their "crime" . If not, then hard labour and rigorous imprisonment ( RI) awaits you

PIA News ! This Time It Is The "New" Booking System "

Passengers in limbo as PIA staff unaware of newly launched booking system
Sept 15, 2018

Of course in this day and age of social media, the decrepit airline ( Pain In The Arse ) provides a "rich source" of "soft news" for many Paki readers, viewers and listeners , and a little bit of diversion from their "hard life" ( lack of water, lack of electricity massive corruption, etc etc )

[url=https://timesofislamabad.com/15-Sep-201 ... rew-member] Civil War Breaks Out Between Pilot And Cabin Crew On A Flight To London ! [/url

PIA international flight delayed for 3 hours due tussle between Pilot and Crew member
Sept 15, 2018
LAHORE - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has earned bad name for country yet again.
A PIA flight to London was delayed by three hours owing to a tussle between the captain and cabin crew. The flight captain refused to fly with one particular steward on board as he was involved in a flight smuggling case.
The "famous" Pakistaniyat !
However, other crew members protested against the captain’s reservations and refused to fly if the steward was disembarked. Owing to the tussle, PK-757 from Lahore to London was delayed by three hours.
Cannot rule out collusion between the crew members . Standing for "one of their own" . Livelihood is at stake here !

Paki Problems Become British Problems In House Of Commons

Ishaq Dar gets breathing space as UK rejects deportation plea
Sept 15, 2018
LONDON – A British parliamentary team has rejected an online petition seeking a parliamentary debate on the issue of extradition of former Pakistani finance minister Ishaq Dar, terming its contents ‘libellous’.The petition lodged by a UK-based activist about a month ago has so far gathered around 82,000 signatures and under the British laws, an individual or a group can highlight an issue of public importance through a lobby petition and once the petition gets over 100,000 signatures, the issue involved is debated in the House of Commons, the lower house of British legislature.
So, the large influx of ( legal and illegal ) Pakis in Bartania is becoming a chronic problem for the Brits . And unnecessary British Taxpayers' time and money is spend on frivolous activities like providing "security" for Ganja Sharif family, Altaf Bhai, and now the action "demanded" against Fraudster Dar by the Pakis residing in UK !
However, despite having over 82,000 signatures, Britishers have rejected debating the subject.“We rejected the petition you supported — “Deport absconder Pakistan’s Ex-Finance Minister Ishaq Dar back to Pakistan,” stated the body in an email on Friday.“It included confidential, libellous, false or defamatory information or a reference to a case which is active in the UK courts,” it added.
Hard to say if PM Imran Khan is personally involved in this one !
According to media reports, the petitions committee said it reviewed the online petition but rejected it on technical and legal grounds.Former finance minister Dar presently resides in the UK without a passport after his diplomatic passport was cancelled a few days back.
Pakistan’s supreme court is also pressing the concerned departments to bring Dar back against whom a corruption reference has been filed by the National Accountability Bureau for having assets beyond means.

D.I.G. Gilgit "Exercises His Authority" And Posts Vulgar Pictures Of His Wife On Social Media ! Pakistan Is An Islamic Republic !!!

Supreme Court orders arrest of DIG for posting vulgar pictures of wife on social media
Sept 14, 2018
LAHORE - The Supreme Court has ordered the police to arrest and present DIG Gilgit Baltistan Syed Junaid Arshad before it.*
Headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar, a bench of the apex court gave this order on a petition filed by the senior cop’s former wife who accused her spouse of posting her objectionable photos on the social media. The chief justice directed the authorities concerned to place the DIG’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
This CJP, who takes his job very very seriously is single handedly "trying" to change the negative image of Pakistan and Pakistanis . This is one another example among many
He remarked: “Does the police officer consider himself above law.” The bench directed the police to ensure compliance of its orders and submit a report on Sunday (tomorrow). The woman petitioner complained that her former husband posted her photos on the social media.
The CJP himself has "three lovely daughters" so obviously he has to think of them as well

Almost Insolvent Status ! . No Foreign Currency Available To Meet Loan Repayments If This Convoluted Report Is To Be Believed

Pakistan to repay $2.522 bn loan, mark-up in three months
The News International
Sept 15, 2018
ISLAMABAD: Amid witnessing a steep decline of over $600 million in foreign currency reserves in the last 15 days, Pakistan will have to repay over $2.522 billion loan in the shape of principal and mark-up amounts during three months period from September to November 2018. It will have to be paid to all international, multilateral and bilateral creditors as well as investors of sovereign bond holders, The News has learnt.
I.O.W no foreign cash is available for principal and overdue interest payments !
“Now dollar inflows are required on immediate basis to avert eruption of full-fledged crisis keeping in view repayment requirements and steep depletion of foreign currency reserves,” top official sources confirmed to The News here on Friday.
No wonder there is a flurry of meetings between Saudi Amb and PM Imran and Chini officials coming to Isloo . "The News has learnt " essentially is "code " for news that the Paki Govt tried to suppress but it has now come out !
Within these three-month period, the PTI led government will have to take important decision either for knocking at the door of the IMF for seeking another bailout package or to get breathing space by relying upon friendly countries like Saudi Arabia and China for doling out $5 billion to $8 billion to narrow down the financing gap on external front. The government also plans for launching the sovereign Euro and Sukuk bonds to get $3 billion as well as Pakistani Diaspora bond to generate $1 billion to $2 billion. To ascertain the exact financing gap on external front, the IMF staff team is scheduled to visit Islamabad on September 27 this month and expected to stay for one week to gauge the actual economic position of the country on internal and external front of the economy.
No alternatives but to approach IMF with "begging bowl" in hand . And Imran's NAYA PAKISTAN will have to eat its words once again ( after the Pompeo fiasco )
Official documents available with The News disclosed on Friday that Pakistan would have to repay major chunk in the shape of principal amount of $1.038 billion to all creditors, including non-guaranteed, bilateral, commercial loans and multilateral creditors, during the ongoing month (September 2018) and $160 million as interest payment.
Chickens are coming home to roost. Fauj which appropriates most of the resources, strangely silent on this issue !
Out of $1.038 billion loan repayments, Pakistan will have to repay as $954 million as non-guaranteed loan and another $84 million to the IMF within this ongoing month.
In bilateral creditors, Islamabad will have to repay $67 million to China as principal amount and $27 million as interest payment in September 2018. Pakistan is going to repay $17 million to Japan and $5 million to Korea in shape of principal and mark-up in September 2018. On interest repayment, Pakistan will have to pay back $32 million to those who had invested on purchasing bonds in the past.
Why is this information kept secret from the Paki Awaam is anybody's guess. Islamic Farewell State will have to be put on indefinite halt !!!
Pakistan will have to pay back $412 million in the shape of principal amount and $62 million as markup on account of commercial loans during September 2018 as the major repayment installment of principal amount would be paid back to Noor Bank PJSC to the tune of $200 million and $255 million to consortium of banks, including SUISSE AG, UBL and ABL.
And the list goes on and on . Stolen monies worth $ 200 Billion is still missing !
The government is going to repay $129 million to the ADB as the principal amount on $19 million loan as mark-up, $65 million to IBRD of World Bank, $102 million to IDA, $24 million to IDB, $141 million to IDB (ST), $01 million to IFAD, and $01 million to OPEC Fund.
. Has The GOP ever published a comprehensive list of what it owes to whom and when all this due . Probably be a shocker IMO !
In October 2018, the government will have to repay $394 million as principal amount and $178 million as markup of loans. Pakistan will have to repay $01 million to France as principal amount on loans and $10 million to Saudi Arabia in October 2018. Islamabad is going to repay $106 million to investors who purchased bonds during the next month. The government will have to repay $206 million to the Standard Chartered Bank (London) as principal and mark-up, $01 million to the Bank of China, $11 million to the China Development Bank and $9 million to the ICBC China. The government will have to repay $229 million to multilateral creditors during October 2018, including $121 million to IDB as major chunk as principal and markup on loans.
Asad Umar Finance Minister already has his work cut out for him
In November 2018, the government will have to repay $572 million as principal and $146 million as interest payment on loans. The government will also have to pay back $34 million to the IMF in November 2018.
Why is the Fauj not getting blamed for all of this !
On bilateral creditors repayment, Islamabad is going to repay $01 million to Australia, $02 million to Belgium, $10 million to Canada, $04 million to China, $81 million to France, $46 million to Germany, $03 million to Italy, $156 million to Japan, $18 million to Korea, $01 million to Kuwait, $01 million to Norway, $06 million to Russia, $01 million to Spain, $06 million to Sweden, $04 million to Switzerland, $01 million to UAE and $61 million to USA
Need a comprehensive list of creditors ASAP. Get the list ready for IMF Loan Team before they come . Make sure that there is no LaWhori Logic and Sialkoti statistics included !
The government will have to repay $23 million to the China Development Bank and $03 million to the Bank of China as mark-up during November 2018.Pakistan will have to repay $275 million as principal amount and $16 million as mark-up of loans to multilateral creditors and major repayments will be paid to the ADB to the tune of $51 million and $217 million to the IDB in November this year.
Avoid burying your head in the sand ! Come out with a consolidated list of amounts owing !!!

The Kaptaan Backs Down Under The Threat Of The Islam Brigade .

Religious bias okayed
Dawn
Pervez Hoodbhoy
Sept 15, 2018
POSTED IN FULL
IT’S always been easy for power-seeking Pakistani clerics and politicians to set our simple-minded religious masses on fire. But, as Prime Minister Imran Khan just discovered, jumping on to a man-eating tiger’s back is one thing; getting off is another. The saga of the Economic Advisory Committee appointment of Prof Atif Mian, a distinguished economist at Princeton University, tells of this.
It all began with Imran Khan reaching out for professional help to manage Pakistan’s failing economy. To his credit Imran Khan recognises that competence counts; professionalism is precisely what made his cancer hospital work. And so he went ahead, acting just as any true liberal (Khan says he hates liberals) would — focusing upon merit, and reaching across Pakistan and outside to find advisers like Mian.
To be honest, it wasn’t much of a proposition. The advisory position offered, then rescinded, was salary-less. The committee of 18 unpaid members of the EAC is tasked with conjuring up a wish list but, as with other such government advisory committees, such recommendations are not binding. No one takes unpaid advice very seriously. Even if things had worked out, Mian would not have moved to Pakistan from his tenured university position. Nor, given other professional commitments, could he have spent much time upon Pakistan’s multiple economic crises.
Nevertheless, the outcry that followed Mian’s appointment showed that many cannot stomach the idea of an Ahmadi being invited onto an official body. For them this is a slippery slope leading down to the unthinkable: a day when Ahmadis would be accepted as normal citizens of Pakistan.
The backlash came from within PTI and from without. The strongest pressure to dismiss Atif Mian came from right-wing and centre-right parties — JUI(F), PML-N, MMA and JI. But even the nominally secular ANP, which lost hundreds of its members to Taliban suicide attacks, hit its political opponent with a religious club. This time around the PPP stayed mum, but then it has plenty of old baggage which it cannot readily explain away.
To its credit, Imran Khan’s team jumped straight in to defend Mian’s appointment. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted that, “Pakistan belongs as much to its minorities as it does to the majority”. In another country this would have been considered unremarkable; here it was a veritable bombshell.
A still stouter defence followed: “If you think that we should drown all our minorities in the Arabian Sea, or that they have no rights here, they have no religious or economic freedom, or freedom to live, then this must be your opinion only. Our interpretation of the state of Madina is that Islam means security, peace and moving forward together … Because of these things [persecution of minorities] the entire world makes fun of us.”
Chaudhry’s tweets struck a sympathetic chord with the Minister of Human Rights, Dr Shireen Mazari (Columbia University, PhD thesis on the revolutionary communist thinker Gramsci), who chirped right back: “Exactly. Well put indeed. Time to reclaim space for the Quaid’s Pakistan!”
Almost unable to believe their own ears, liberal Pakistanis danced with joy. Naya Pakistan was for real and not, as they had long suspected, a fraudulent slogan to seize power. We were on the way — at least by a little bit — towards making a country where every citizen would be considered equal to any other. It was not to be.
What’s especially surprising is that we have been here before. Back in 2014, perched atop his container, Imran Khan promised a cheering crowd that he believed in meritocracy and, as an example, would appoint Mian as the kind of expert he wanted to take charge of Pakistan’s economy. Days later, upon being informed that Mian was Ahmadi, he did a swift U-turn. No one I know quite understands why there was a second U-turn and why Mian was again asked.
Imran Khan changes his mind, depending on which way the wind is blowing ! That is why he is also called U Turn Khan !
Still, many hoped, this time it would be different. Now that Imran Khan was prime minister and had power, he would surely take a stand in support of the constitutional rights of all citizens. This after all should be his obligation as the head of the government.
The swiftness of his climbdown surprised everyone because typically a new government feels strongest in its early days. Also, unlike the previous government, the present one has support from the army and a blind cult following. Nevertheless, fear of political opponents exploiting religious sensitivities left it paralysed.
In an attempt to quash the controversy, Imran Khan recorded and uploaded his video message. One sees an embattled man seeking to wriggle out of a bad situation. Looking haggard and aged rather than his handsome self, he swears repeatedly to the end-of-prophethood while jabbing his finger at an unnamed maulana (Fazlur Rahman?) ( The Maulana is ready to squash Imran's bxlls now ! The Jewish card is always available  ) who he accuses of playing religious politics.
Of course, Khan is correct. But, unfortunately, the wily maulana is not the only one playing this game. Had a similar matter come up before Khan became prime minister, what would have been his stance? One recalls the pictures of Imran Khan participating in numerous khatm-i-nabuwat meetings, some addressed by the most extreme of clerics. Where the goal is to obtain or retain political power, he was willing to say or do whatever it took no matter how hateful.
In a few days, the Atif Mian episode will recede into the background. Still, it warns of the dangers ahead. Imran Khan — like Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif before him — will have to navigate a minefield where a misstep can cost you a limb or your life. In such circumstances, fearful politicians will make concessions and principles evaporate.
No country is free of prejudices; certain groups of its own citizens are discriminated against. Still, at the very least this is normally deprecated officially and, as in some countries, one sees genuine attempts to create an equalitarian society. Pakistanis in Europe and North America take their freedoms for granted in spite of overtly projecting their identity. Still, they expect respect and mostly receive it. But in today’s Pakistan those with religious beliefs different from that of the majority’s stand little or no chance.

Nepotism Is Well And Alive In Pakistan !

Imran’s friend could be new HC to UK
The News International
Murtaza Ali Shah
Sept 15, 2018
LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has directed Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK Sahabzada Ahmed Khan to repot at the Foreign Office in Islamabad after “irresponsible activity” at an awards ceremony here – and the PTI government could appoint an old friend of Prime Minister Imran Khan as the new high commissioner to the UK.
Sahabzada Ahmed Khan took charge in London as Pakistan’s High Commissioner around two months ago but Sahabzada Jahangir, a trusted friend of Imran Khan for more than 40 years, could replace him as the new high commissioner and there is strong support for him within the PTI establishment.
The more things change, the more they remain the same ! This disclosure comes on the heals of another two reports by this same newspaper. Railway Minister Rashid's nephew has been given a PTI Nomination Ticket to fight an bye election in the Pindi area . S.M. Qureshi's son ( Zain ) was elected MNA on a PTI ticket in Multan area . So, what is the difference when Ex PM Abbasi appoints his nephew as Paki Amb to DC or Maulana Fazl uses his influence with Ganja to appoint his younger bro as Incharge Afghan Refugee!
Sahabzada Jahangir, Fauzia Kasuri’s brother from West London who has been living in the UK for over 40 years, has been seen with Prime Minister Imran Khan on at least three occasions after he took oath as prime minister of Pakistan. Sahabzada Jahangir was seen sitting in the task force meeting on building 5 million homes which Imran Khan chaired. He was seen with Imran Khan at his Banigala residence and Prime Minister House soon after that. He was also invited by Imran Khan personally to attend his swearing-in ceremony as prime minister of Pakistan. Sources have told The News that it was discussed with Imran Khan that Sahabzada Jahangir should be appointed Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK as he understands the vision of Imran Khan well and his posting at the important station like London could help Imran Khan’s government at a time when relations with America have frozen but ties with Britain remain cordial.
However, a government functionary related to the PTI said that if such a scenario appears to change the high commissioner in the UK, only the merit and policy would be followed. He said that all the capable, hard working persons eligible for the post will be considered, adding that Sahebzada Jahangir's name was not final.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said he has taken notice of “irresponsible” activities of Pakistani High Commissioner in the UK during an award show in the British capital, directing him to return to homeland to submit his explanation. He said: “I am dismayed by the actions of our High Commissioner to the UK and have asked him to return to Pakistan and provide an explanation for his behaviour at the IPPA awards held in London.”
As per details, Sahabzada Ahmed Khan was reported of conducting inappropriate actions during an award show, which was attended by a large number of Pakistani celebrities.Pakistan High Commission in London told this correspondent that Sahabzada Khan has arrived in Islamabad to give explanation about his actions.
The incident took place during a local media outlet's event held at London's 2 Arena on September 9, wherein the diplomat was called on stage to announce the winner of an award category. In a video clip that was shared multiple times on social media, Sahabzada Ahmed Khan's actions raised questions as well as concerns.
Close quarters of Pakistan's High Commissioner to the UK Sahebzada Ahmed Khan, however, claimed that the impression created after the HC appearance in the award ceremony was totally wrong. They said that the organiser had praised the HC's eloquence and one of the organisers urged Sahebzada Ahmed Khan to engage audience for some time which he did. They said that there was no issue in the whole episode.
The PTI sources told The News that there are presidents of political appointees representing Pakistan at high commissions and embassies overseas and Sahabzada Jahangir could be the ideal choice for the post and he has support with senior PTI leadership and PM Imran Khan trusts Sahabzada Jahangir for various reasons.
So, who is Sahabzada Jahangir? The elder brother of Fauzia Kasuri is a respected member of the British Pakistani community who helped Imran Khan found the party and funded it at its inception. Imran Khan founded the PTI at his home in Elstree, West London, and it’s at the same place where Imran Khan lived and socialized during his cricketing days and afterwards. It’s at Sahabzada Jahangir’s Elstree home where valima event was held for Imran Khan and Jemima Goldsmith after their marriage.
He has held various assignments in the UK such as “Chairman of Imran Khan Secretariat”, “Senior Adviser to PTI Chairman on Investments” and “Head of PTI UK & Europe”.
He’s generally considered as the face of Imran Khan in UK and he has been traveling extensively in UK & Europe to hold meetings of PTI. He has been travelling with Imran Khan all over the world for Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital. He is also a close ally of Aneel Musarrat, who has been made a member of Imran Khan’s task force on building 5 million homes.

I think the Saudis will offer substantial financial assistance to Dimmy on his visit, on two conditions:

1. Pakistan Army immediately send troops to Yemen to fight on Saudi side.
2. Dimmy Govt stop playing footsie with Iran.

Bajwa would immediately agree to (1) as it would bring more money to PA Jernails.
Given that Pakistan is bankrupt, this time the Parliament will not protest.
Since the Dimmy Govt is in its honeymoon phase, the Awam will not protest either.

If the Pak Army take over the fight (and casualties) in Yemen, the Saudis will provide more free oil also for Pakistan.

I think it suits Pakistan to become a colony of the Saudis and Chinese, instead of going to the IMF. It serves the interest of all 3 countries.

OBL Reference Irks Paki Origin Bearded Cricket Player

Moeen Ali says he was called ´Osama´ by Australia player
London -England all-rounder Moeen Ali has said he was called "Osama" by an Australia player during the 2015 Ashes series. Ali´s allegation was made in his autobiography, an extract of which was published in Saturday´s edition of The Times newspaper.
Do not follow kirket ! Surprised to learn that Bartania Cricket Authorities do not have a physical grooming code . Shows the tremendous influence Malsi wields in UK !
Cricket Australia has announced it is launching an investigation, saying the comment was "unacceptable".
IMHO, that is going to be the extent of their "apology", if one wants to call it that !
Moeen, a practising Muslim, said he was on the receiving end of the slur, a reference to terror leader Osama bin Laden, from an unnamed opponent during his Ashes debut against Australia in Cardiff three years ago -- a match where he scored 77 runs in the first innings and took five wickets.
Should he not be playing for Pakiland - with his long beard , and feeling at home with Paki cricketers
"It was a great first Ashes Test in terms of my personal performance, however there was one incident which had distracted me," wrote Moeen."An Australian player turned to me on the field and said, ´Take that, Osama´. I could not believe what I had heard. I remember going really red. I have never been so angry on a cricket field," added the 31-year-old Worcestershire left-handed batsman and off-spinner.
Image
The resemblance to OBL is startling ! He should take it as complement . He should make sure that beard goes off if Massaland is a destination !
Moeen also said that after the series, which England won and during which the Australia team "refused to talk to or even acknowledge us", he talked to the player concerned."He came up to me and said, ´I know what you thought I said, but I didn´t say that. I´ve got Muslim friends and some of my best friends are Muslims´.
The standard line in most such cases - like "some of my best friends are jews"
In an interview with The Times published Friday, Moeen criticised Australia for the "disrespect" they showed towards their opponents, saying they were the only team he´d "actually disliked".
"I´m someone who generally feels sorry for people when things go wrong but it´s difficult to feel sorry for them," Moeen said.

On one of the Indian TV channels, could be duniya, commenting on recent Bajwa’s rant that “he will avenge every drop of paki blood...”, general Hooda says:
“The reason for such comments inspite of TSP’s gutter economy is that perhaps US promised TSP that they will get IMF funding anyway on the condition that Taliban is reigned in in Afg and they should be brought to the table for talks.”

He feels that the prospect of getting money from IMF on easy terms and also the prospect that Taliban could be sharing the power in Afghanistan, TSP bravado is on the rise. He also feel the recent 8 pigs sent by TSP who were killed later is because of this jump in TSP’s regain in confidence.

Last month, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry claimed that the PM has decided to not undertake any foreign tour at least in the first three-month of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government “unless there is a pressing matter in need to be addressed”.Given the statement, the observers will closely monitor PM Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia. It is highly likely that economy will be at the core of discussion between Khan and Saudi authorities.
Vips-ji :
If the visit is " successful" (meaning that Pakiland is going to receive a $ 10 Billion Dollar bailout from Saudi ) expect some kind of "disappointment" from the Iranians . The Iran - Pakistan pipeline will again be put on cold storage. Saudi backed Paki terrorists will create "mischief" in Balochistan. Iran -Pakistan bonhomie will stop. And Iran may again "reach out to India" , IMO !

Brahma Chellaney : India Should Revisit Indus Water Treaty. India Should Back Up Tough Words On Balochistan With Action

Only by asserting its Indus leverage can India hope to end Pakistan’s unconventional war
Hindustan Times
Brahma Chellaney
Sept 15, 2018
In foreign policy, it is important for national leadership to choose its rhetoric carefully and back its words with at least modest action. Words not backed by any action can undermine a country’s credibility and perhaps even its deterrence.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised the Balochistan issue in his Independence Day speech in 2016, he seemed to signal an important Indian policy shift. At least that is how his reference to Balochistan was widely interpreted. But since then, India has been totally silent on the issue, although Balochistan — Pakistan’s Achilles heel — threatens to become the new East Pakistan because of military killings and mass graves. India has even denied visas to some exiled Baloch activists.
Take another key issue: the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT). In 1960, in the naïve hope that water largesse would yield peace, India gifted the bulk of the Indus system’s waters — and the largest three of its six rivers — to Pakistan under the IWT. The Indus treaty remains a colossus on the world stage: It is by far the world’s most generous water pact, both in terms of the downstream country’s share of the waters (80.52%) and the aggregate volume of average yearly flows reserved for it (167.2 billion cubic metres). Still, an ungrateful Pakistan has waged covert or overt aggression almost continuously and is now using the IWT itself as a stick to beat India with, including by contriving water disputes and internationalising them as part of a “water war” strategy.
Against this background, Modi raised the hope that India would finally revisit the IWT by seizing on the Pakistan Senate’s unanimous March 2016 resolution calling for the treaty’s re-evaluation. Indeed, while chairing a September 2016 internal meeting on the IWT, Modi warned, “Blood and water cannot flow together.” Setting in motion the treaty’s reappraisal, an inter-ministerial committee of secretaries was established, and officials said that India would now assert all its rights under the IWT, including fully utilising its share of the allotted waters and expediting its long-delayed hydropower projects.
But two years later, India, alas, appears to have returned to the former state of affairs. The committee of secretaries, headed by the PM’s principal secretary, has fallen by the wayside. Apart from completing the small, 330-megawatt Kishenganga project after 11 years, India has shown little urgency on Indus Basin water projects. Even as Punjab and other states feud bitterly over water, India’s failure to adequately harness the resources of the three smaller rivers reserved for it results in Pakistan receiving substantial bonus waters. Just these extra outflows to Pakistan are many times greater yearly than the total volumes under the Israeli-Jordanian water arrangement.
The recent August 29-30 meeting, held in Lahore, marked the first bilateral engagement since the new military-backed Imran Khan government took office in Pakistan. With Pakistan’s international isolation deepening and its economy in dire straits, the military there is tactically seeking “peace” talks with India while still employing terrorists in a proxy war. Through such talks, it also hopes to legitimise the government it helped install through a manipulated election. But with India’s own elections approaching, talks with Pakistan will be politically risky for the ruling BJP.
While the US has dumped international pacts at will (from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty to the Kyoto and Paris accords), India still clings to the world’s most-lopsided water treaty, adhering to its finer details, even as Pakistan refuses to honour the terms of the central treaty governing bilateral relations — the 1972 Simla peace pact. Pakistan also flouts its commitment to prevent its territory from being used for cross-border terrorism. The Indus may be Pakistan’s jugular vein, yet a visionless and water-stressed India has let the IWT hang from its neck like the proverbial albatross. Make no mistake: Only by asserting its Indus leverage can India hope to end Pakistan’s unconventional war.
