This is naarmal and routine, right? I hope this is not what Rajnath Singh was referring to.

Also from TOI. Date of report same as that of report about Rajnath Singh's statement:

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ind ... 998367.cms
Will strike against Pakistan at oppurtune time to avenge killing of our jawan: BSF DG
If BSF has already confirmed significant casualties on Paki side, how come the BSF DG is claiming that they plan to strike? Something is not adding up. They are keeping details deliberately murky. Next few days will be interesting to watch out for.
Why details??

These are operational matters and not meant to be discussed through newspapers, no??

Of course, the details will always be kept deliberately murky.

Sorry, "details" may have been the wrong word to use. I meant a clear picture of what happened like they announced in 2016 about surgical strike.

Any reports from the Hindi press about Rajnath Singh's statement? NDTV's translation and TOI's translation differs and in TOI's translation, Rajnath Singh's stressing on the word big so would be nice to read the actual Hindi statement of his. My guess would be unlike the last surgical strike where terror camps were targeted, this time most likely Pak Army camps have been targeted with several PA soldiers ending up dead instead of their proxies.

My guess is that it must have been a baki post from where the dastardly act on the BSF jawan was launched/supported.

Big or Significant does not have to mean big in absolute numbers but relative terms. So I can "imagine" 10 bakis killed in retaliation for 1 BSF jawan as significant.

Also significant could be the method used. For example, a pinaka barrage instead of the usual arty for cross border action too would be significant.

there is no point in killing soldiers. They will learn no lessons by losing a few dispensible grunts. What we need to target are officers, officers mess, officers living quarters, DHA housing these officers. Chenab rangers should be targeted deep inside and spook them in their safe spaces.

Now qureshi is on the defensive. Till yesterday, he was all bravado. Something big has happened.

War with India not an option, says Qureshi
War with India is not an option, says Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, as a senior US official urges Pakistan to work for promoting peace in South Asia.
Mr Qureshi said the new government had inherited strained relations with two key countries — India and the United States — and was working to improve ties with both.
“What we did…we thought made sense. Two neighbours with outstanding issues, atomic powers. How do you fix things? War is no option. There is no military solution: the only solution is a dialogue,” he emphasised.
After the cancellation of the FM meeting, didn't the brave son of pakhani soil say he will never talk to/with India again? What gives? I sense a major backing off announcement in the works. Hafeez Suar Saeed or Salahudeen may be involved in the latest response by India.

IMF pressure builds up.

IMF request for CPEC contract details declined
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is looking for contract details of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects amid the West’s deepening interest in the strategic arrangement between the two “all weather” friends.
The IMF staff-level delegation is visiting Pakistan to assess the country’s macroeconomic situation. Its Washington-based Mission Chief, Harald Finger, is leading the delegation that comprises officials from the fund’s Lending Policy Division.
However, the ministry did not provide any information, arguing that only the Ministry of Energy has the details.
“The disclosure of Chinese financing deals under CPEC has been described as one of the disadvantages of going for an IMF bailout programme during a briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan,” said the sources.
The US embassy officials also raised the issue of transparency in CPEC deals during their interaction with the Ministry of Finance officials on Friday.
The sources said the government was under no obligation to provide details of the CPEC contracts to a third party, particularly when there was no formal arrangement with the IMF at this stage.
So, for a price, pakis will even sell their all weather friends down the river. This is classic caught between a rock and a hard place.

Have a heart! IMF's requests are being declined because nobody in T'stan knows where the CPEC contracts are. In fact, nobody knows if there is a contract in the first place. Iron brothers don't sign contracts.

OTOH, I am sure the Chinese have the originals filed away somewhere in Beijing, together with paper and ink from the same stock to "make suitable alterations" if necessary. IMF should try to get Chinese assistance to find how badly the Pakis are exposed.

You're reading too much into this. He can't even contemplate war while talking to a foreign news agency (Al Jazeera), at a time when IMF officials have deigned to visit & negotiate a loan to bail out his country. Next time he talks to a domestic audience (after getting his bailout), he will bare his fangs again.

Two things possibly a) atleast scores of valid killed with message one Indian will cause 20 baki casualties and b) use of heavy weapons. Both of this shows willingness of Indian government to escalate one notch up the ladder and willingness to absorb repurcussions at the international level.
Valid cannot fight war they will default before trying to reach their border in mobilising army.

Only if chinis get into the game they can have will to fight and the moment you destroy all yellow bridges in Kashmir in first 24 hours they will have all the methane from their backside out.

Asad Umar checks Pakistan into a financial rehab clinic – M Bilal Lakhani

Heroin is to drug addicts what foreign exchange (read dollars) is to Pakistan’s economy right now. When a drug addict enters a rehabilitation clinic, he often perceives the doctor as the enemy, stripping away the addict’s ability to experience joy in life. Asad Umar is in a similar position with the Pakistani people, as he weans us off debt and expensive imports. In this case, like the addict, it’s easier for us to fight the doctor instead of the disease. The irony is that the doctor only has one goal at heart: to make the patient feel better and live life to its fullest.

Asad Umar has emerged from whatever rock or container he was hiding under by presenting the mini-budget last week. His silence on a substantive economic policy in the first few days of government was confusing because he’s never been short of opinions while in the opposition. But it seems like Asad has taken the first few weeks in government to digest the enormity of economic challenges in front of him. Let us assume Pakistan is a family with 100 rupees of expenditure every month. We spend around 36 rupees on interest payments and another 18 rupees on defence. Our monthly income is around 80 rupees so we still borrow 20 rupees a month to make ends meet. I O W : 67.5% of earnings for Debt Servicing and Defence leading to further Borrowing of 25% of the Original Received in the Budget!

Asad’s mini-budget attempts to be pro-poor, pro-exporters (read industrialists) and tries to bring down the import bill in this challenging fiscal landscape. Yes, it hurts to have income taxes raised but the lowest income workers have been protected (and should continue to be protected by reducing indirect taxes). Gas and electricity prices have also been raised independent of the budget. While all of this sounds like Purana Pakistan, it’s actually good for the country. Asad has a thankless job at the moment but he’s doing the right thing. Much like a doctor forcing a drug addict to kick the habit, the next few months will be painful but Asad has taken the courageous way forward versus giving in to knee-jerk populist policies.

The only place where Asad deserves across-the-board criticism is for allowing non-filers to purchase real estate and cars. This is a step backwards and signals potential capture of the government by vested interests. The apparent reason — allowing overseas Pakistanis to make purchases — could have had other workarounds (hello NICOP). The energy and excitement going into raising funds for dams could have been channelled into getting Pakistanis to file taxes so we don’t have to beg every time the government needs money. For the first time, arguably in Pakistan’s history, people actually trust the government with their tax money. Now would be the time for a fresh start and encouraging people to pay and file taxes. The only way to break free from debt is to live within our means. Going to China or Saudi Arabia to avoid the IMF doesn’t cure our debt problem, it only masks the symptoms long enough for the problem to get worse.

The other critique of Asad Umar’s economic announcements has been how uninspiring and inside the box it’s been. This is true but partly unfair because of the state of the economy he inherited. One cannot expect a drug addict to find a job before he reforms his behaviour. It’s like saying a drug addict should just flip a switch and turn around his life. It’s not that easy.

Incredible, short-term pain is about to hit the Pakistani public if we want to get our finances in order and chart a path for growth. Subsidies on utilities will have to be eliminated slowly. A culture of tax paying will have to be nurtured. Jobs will have to be lost at public-sector companies to manage their haemorrhaging budgets. Once these interventions are made, we can move faster on our path to growth. The problem with Pakistan’s finances is that we always come to the brink and get saved by someone. If the drug addict is always rescued by family and never has his rock bottom moment of vomiting on the toilet floor trying to flush out his over- dose, the desire to change doesn’t come from within. The desire for change becomes circumstantial.

It’s important for leaders like Imran and Asad, who have the political and moral capital of being ‘clean’, to nurture a desire for genuine economic change in the country that is painful but worthwhile. If they don’t take the time to explain this to the Pakistani public, their reform plan will not have the political capital to sustain itself. It’s time to flush the addiction to debt and living beyond our means from Pakistan. That is the only path to foreign policy independence and sustainable economic growth.

China to make CPEC demand-driven programme - Khalid Mustafa

ISLAMABAD: In a strategic decision, China has decided to pull out Pakistan from its economic morass by making the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a demand-driven programme, a top official at the commerce ministry revealed.

Read More: PM Imran Khan to visit China next month

To this end, it would extend significant unilateral trade concessions to Pakistan, to be announced in the presence of Prime Minister Imran Khan at the First China International Import Expo in Shanghai in early November, the official told The News, on condition of anonymity.

“So far, the CPEC was supply-driven and, to this effect, the top Chinese authorities have decided to make it based on Islamabad’s priorities and demands, so as to make the CPEC project more favourable towards Pakistan,” he said.

Must read: Plots to disrupt ties with Pakistan to be foiled: China

The official said the Chinese leadership in Beijing had realised that Pakistan was badly mired in debt, and record trade and current account deficits. If it was not bailed out in time, another major economy could misguide the authorities in Islamabad and blame Beijing for the economic mess. “Keeping this factor in mind, Beijing has decided to be part of the solution to the fiscal mayhem Pakistan is facing,” he said.

Read all about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

Moreover, China was determined to make the CPEC - the showcase project of the Belt and Road Initiative - a success story at any cost. This is why further investment on the CPEC project would be made keeping in view the priorities and demands of the Pakistan government, so as boost the industrial sector, the official said.

He said the anticipated unilateral Chinese trade concessions would help to reduce the bilateral trade deficit of more than $14 billion. Pakistan's exports to China stood at about $2 billion in the financial year which end in June, whereas Chinese imports topped $16 billion. Pakistan's Imports from China are Eight Times its Exports to China. As such Pakistan will have to increase its Exports to China by Eight Times the present Figure - "Tall Order - I say!"!

“We have just received the positive vibes from Beijing that it is all set to extend the unilateral concessions which Pakistan has long been demanding," the top commerce ministry official told The News. Pakistan has urgently sought tariff concessions from China for cotton yarn, rice, nuts, plastic waste, leather, trousers, and frozen fish and crabs.

Under the existing free trade agreement, the tariff concessions on items that Pakistan imported from China were less favourable than the concessions granted on the same items to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Now, China has decided to compensate Pakistan. In addition to tariff concessions, China would regularly send buying missions to Pakistan with instructions to place more and bigger orders with Pakistan's export-oriented businesses, he said.

To this effect, a 30-member buying mission from China was scheduled to reach Pakistan on October 8. "This will give ample time to both sides for the finalisation of the items for which the buying mission would place orders."

"China has also decided to give a special status to Pakistan at all its import expo events, and would help introduce Pakistan products to eminent international buyers from across the globe," the top commercial ministry official said.

Pakistan can be the new Japan of Asia in a decade: Romanian Ambassador
The Business
Irfan Athar Qazi / M J Hayat
Sept 29, 2018
I personally feel that Pakistan is a safe and secure country ( One definition of an Amb : A person who lies for the benefit of his country  ) and deserves to be one of the most important countries in this region, Pakistan has substantially contributed against terrorism, Nicolae Goia, Romania Ambassador to Pakistan speaks to Daily The Business in Lahore.
One billion dollar bilateral trade between both countries may be ambitious target but my personal objective is to achieve the trade to about half a billion dollar in the first phase which I personally believe that we will achieve the target within a couple of years as I have got very positive response from the Pakistani traders and industrialists. Similarly, the Romanian businessmen are also keen to invest and work with their Pakistani counterparts.
. What can Pakistan "supply" Romania which they cannot get from some other country ? Diplomatic etiquette nothing else IMO !
DTB: Pakistan and Romania enjoy good relationship. How can we further strengthen the ties? Nicolae Goia: Yes, Pakistan and Romania enjoy extremely good relationship. We are happy that the relationship are getting stronger and stronger in term of bilateral trade, political education, cultural and even sports with the each passing year. I must say that we established the bilateral ties back in 1964 and there have been years and years full of achievements in terms of especially economic and political relations. We joined hands in building oil refineries, constructing cement and tractor manufacturing factories. We have also been very effectively been exchanging commodities in order to increase volume of trade.
DTB: How do you see Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government? Nicolae Goia: There are very encouraging signs that he is very determined to implement good governance, fight very seriously against corruption, I trust this government will do a very good job.DTB: Any message you want to give to the businessmen, traders, industrials and people especially.Nicolae Goia: To the businessmen, I would say, try to identify their Romanian counterpart and be as active as you can in order to establish direct ties. To the nation, I would say, be proud to be Pakistani as this is a brilliant nation. This is nation which has very bright future. So be proud. I am proud to be here myself.

20-grade officer steals foreign delegate’s wallet, bag

Please Watch the Video!

ISLAMABAD: The government was exposed to extreme embarrassment on Friday when the wallet and baggage of a Kuwaiti delegate went missing. The wallet and belongings were recovered later on and a grade-20 officer was allegedly found involved in the theft.

According to details, the Kuwaiti delegation was attending a two-day Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) in Islamabad. After meeting, the delegation head said he had lost his baggage and wallet. Later on a CCTV footage allegedly showed a grade-20 officer, a joint secretary, stealing the Kuwaiti delegate’s belongings.

This reporter tried to reach the secretary Economic Affairs Division (EAD) for comments but got no reply. However, sources close to the 20-grade officer said that nothing such thing happened, and all the allegations are fabricated and baseless. He said that everything will be cleared if a thorough probe is conducted.

Qureshi Soft Peddles His Message To Amreeki Audience .

FM Shah Mehmood urges US not to lose ‘old friends’
Sept 29, 2018
NEW YORK – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Friday said that Pakistan was trying to reconnect with the United States, its old ally, as Washington’s priorities had changed in the region where it had forged a strategic relationship with India.
“You can have new friends, but why to lose old friends,” he posed the question at a large gathering of American academics, analysts, international affairs students, and journalists at Asia Society in New York. The foreign minister said Pakistan wanted peace in the region, but on the other hand, India was trying to escape from a dialogue.
The US, he added, could play a role in resolving the outstanding disputes ( Read "core issue" !) between India and Pakistan.
Qureshi also said Pakistan wanted to play a positive role in Afghanistan, but that Afghanistan was not the only responsibility of it.Responding to question about the state of US-Pakistan relations, he said, “I’m here to reconnect.”
To a question, the foreign minister maintained that the Indian leadership was reluctant to engage in dialogue with Pakistan due to domestic politics and upcoming general elections in the country.
Bad mouthing India will not help !
Qureshi said the Pakistani society comprised 65% of youth, a large middle-class, and a sizeable business community, most of them settled in the US, UK and other western countries. He said the overseas Pakistanis, who had experienced democratic norms in countries, they were settled in, wanted the same thing back home.
Many of the oversees Pakis practice "Pakistaniyat" which they should be "encouraged" to let go off
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has rekindled the hope in youth. They have pinned hopes in the PTI government. People want honest leadership and institutional rebuilding and want to see an end to the dynastic politics,” he added.
His son as MP, is that not dynastic politics on a lesser scale

"Desperate FIA" Goes After An "Aam Abdul"

You have Rs2bln in your account, FIA tells street vendor
Sept 29, 2018
KARACHI – In a startling development, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has informed on Saturday street side vendor about the presence of mammoth Rs2 bln cash in his account.
According to reports, Abdul Qadir, who was left flabbergasted by FIA’s unforeseen disclosure, stated that he did not know how such a big amount was transferred in his account. On the other hand, FIA is probing the incident in connection with ongoing money laundering investigation. Qadir—who lived in the house comprising area of just 40 feets—stated he came to know about the presence of Rs2bln through a letter penned by FIA.Qadir professed innocence. He said, “I was told that I had signed in English whereas I can barely sign a document in Urdu”.
Some disgruntled competitor or a family cousin- who was rejected for a loan - must have spilled the beans on this popular neighbourhood biryani or kebab vendor, who did not want to be seen to be living "way beyond his means" and therefore stashed the loot in the bank. But FIA is "smart"

IMF Bailout Looks More And More Certain

Decision on IMF bailout to be taken next month, says Asad Umar
Sept 29, 2018
ISLAMABAD – Minister for Finance Asad Umar said on Friday that government had not yet decided if it should go for any programme with International Monetary Fund (IMF), however, a decision to that effect would be taken by October. The minister said that all options including approaching the IMF were open, adding that he never said that the government would not go to the IMF.

"Pakistaniyat" Is Very Active In Malaysia

South Korean embassy official jailed for issuing fake visas to Pakistanis :!:
KUALA LUMPUR – An official of South Korean Embassy in Malaysia was awarded a jail term for issuing fraudulent visas to Pakistanis. The Seoul Central District Court stated on Friday that it had sentenced the embassy official to 18 months in prison for falsifying official documents and breaching the immigration law for some three years, Korean media reported. In his ruling, the judge said the official had betrayed the trust bestowed upon him for the execution of his public duties and had caused confusion in immigration affairs.
The issue had arisen after Pakistanis, who had been issued visas by Korean official, were not in possession of the necessary documents on, at most, 20 different instances starting from April of 2016 to January 2018.
While Major Generals of the Paki Fauj are promoted to Lt Generals , and Paki Diplos in New York are "begging" UN for more "education dollars" the Aam Abduls are desperate to get out of the accursed country- by hook or by crook , as this clearly shows
The embassy official, who assisted the consul in charge of visas, was found to have misused the consul’s intranet ID and password upon the request of a Pakistani acquaintance.
For the sake of this world, these "guys" need to be quarantined . No wonder, even their Ummah friends ( Saudia, Kuwait, Iran , Malaysia ) do not "entertain" visa requests from them ! And the notorious Green Passport is a red alert for Immigration Control at all airports of the world
In order to receive visas from Korea’s overseas embassies or consulates, nationals of certain countries are required to submit invitations, affidavits certifying identity and business registration certificates from people engaged in economic activity in South Korea

You're reading too much into this. ... he will bare his fangs again.
You have proved my point. Whenever pakis are overtly concerned about war and/or peace and desire to come across as peacemakers and reluctant war mongers, the rest of the world should sit up and take notice. Qureshi, who recently swore that he will never hold talks with India ever, ever again, is back to the same old beaten path of "our doors are always open". Conclusion - something happened in the last few days that has made the decision makers in toiletistan change their tactics.

Hence, I am reading in between the lines, as we all should.

"First (Burka) Lady, Bushra Peerni Rejects Suggestion That She Has The Gift Of E.S.P ( extra sensory perception !)

First lady Bushra Bibi rejects disgusting claims made by prominent journalist over her marriage with PM Khan
Sept 29, 2018
POSTED IN FULL !
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s first lady Bushra Bibi has rejected the speculations triggered by senior journalists over her marriage with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The third wife of Imran Khan, during an exclusive interview with a private news channel, revealing hidden facts of his husband’s life said, “Pakistan is fortunate to have a leader like Imran Khan. Imran Khan ( along with Erdogan of Turkee !) is not a politician but a leader”.
She also elaborated the events from her divorce from her former husband Khawar Maneka to her marriage with cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan. Throwing shade on persons who spread baseless rumours about their marriage, she clarified that no “unnatural incident” ( no ESP  ) could be blamed for their marriage.
When host Nadeem Malik asked a question if you were directed, as a media person claimed in his Urdu column, by the Prophet (PBUH) in a dream ( is that not considered blasphemy under Malsi ) for tying the knot with Khan, the first lady refuted it saying the person who wrote such things should think carefully before making such claims.
Urdu journalist Javed Chaudhry in his column revealed the factors behind this marriage. He wrote that Bushra Bibi was directed by the Prophet in a dream for the marriage.
Under Pakiland's Islamic Law, the journo should be "booked for blasphemy ASAP

Will GOI issue the OCI card to the half paki child? Under no circumstances should it be granted to Shoaib who is not willing to allow the baby of his Indian citizen wife to be a Indian National.

The child born in India( so Indian birth certificate) and one parent being Indian can claim Indian citizen. So Mrs doesn't want the child to have Pak passport, least it is strip searched once it is a grown up adult. Needless to say once born in India, it is difficult for it to get Pak passport.

Mr. Joker cannot get OCI as Pak/ Bangladeshi don't get OCI.

So it is all well thought out. Now just need to spread the fire on why Mr.Joker does not want Pak citizenship for his child. Does he hate Pakistan :rotfl:

Anupmisra-ji :
The risk from the Chini and Paki point of view is that IMF delegation composed of mostly Americans are really Massa Agents and/or "CIA spies". If contract details are given to them for scrutiny, they might be be photocopied, Xeroxed, copied into a cell phone camera and then E mailed ( encrypted please !) straight to Virginia , Langley ( CIA )

Pakistan To Ink Agreement With Switzerland . This :(( Has Been Recycled Many Times Before As Well !

Pakistan to ink agreement with Switzerland to curb money laundering
Sept 28, 2018

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is all set to sign an agreement with Switzerland aimed at curbing the illicit and secret practice of money laundering.
Federal Minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Ch told media on Saturday that authorities would be given access to accounts of Pakistanis present in the mountainous Central European country. The agreement will be signed in Geneva, Fawad said adding that federal govt would ink agreements with several other European and Middle East nations for the same purpose.
This is all "fiction" IMO. Has been reported many many times before as well . The so-called stolen $ 20 Billion ( figure is very exaggerated by the Kaptaan and his minions like the "Information" Minister ! And how Naya Pakistan will bring the looted wealth back to the bankrupt nation. And this in turn will sprout the Islamic Farewell State ! The shrewd Swiss do not "entertain" such "requests" from a third rate nation like Pakiland . Their Banking and Finance systems operate under strict privacy laws. And the whole Swiss economy is based on entry of "dirty money" into their country . To a lesser extent, the City Of London Financial System also thrives on how to "launder money" and convert it into white

Female Harassment At That Bastion Of Isloo Elitism

Islamabad Club’s management committee member fired for harassment, fined Rs1m
PT
Sept 29, 2018
Islamabad Club’s management committee member Sikandar Ismail was found guilty of harassing a female club employee by Federal Ombudsman Kashmala Tariq, who in her decision sentenced him to a fine of Rs1 million along with permanent disbarment from holding any position within the club.
Where is Human Rights "Minister" Mazari. In Vienna ? She is allowing this to happen in her own backyard
Ismail’s club membership has also been suspended for six months and he was ordered to pay half of the fine (Rs0.5 million) to the victim, Seemi Abbas, who had accused the “powerful member” of the club’s management committee of sexually harassing her. Sifarish to "take care " of the fine
Abbas, who had joined as an assistant manager at a servicing section of the members only club in 2015 had claimed that she had been immediately fired after she refused to obey the “immoral” orders of the club’s committee member.
what is the "immoral order" . ? "Ordered " to go after hours and "service" the General or the Brigadier at his residence - delivery "personal service" to him
The controversy came to light in October 2017 when Abbas wrote a letter to the Ministry of Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) alleging that the accused used to summon her to his office only to discuss unofficial matters, including her “personal life”. Sorry, the "service" was for him , not the General !
Her letter said that Ismail, retired civil servant, “would make me sit in his office for hours, showing photos and narrating stories of his youth. I felt insecure in his office.”
A proper courting process should be follow , before the "main action" is proposed !
A a statement issued by the federal ombudsman’s office while detailing the case stated that on September 21, 2017, Ismail detained the employee in his office for an hour and a half where he reportedly tried to entice sexual favours from her in exchange for extending her contract, due to expire soon, by using his position. However, when the employee failed to comply with his demands Ismail, who was also the convener of the human resource and disciplinary committees of the club, initiated disciplinary proceedings against her, which prompted her to take action against him.
This is very serious . Madame Jalebi should get involved in this !
Meanwhile, a source close to the development revealed that Abbas had to face immense hurdles in getting justice as power and influence ( of course he "knows" may generals and cabinet ministers as well !) were used to suppress her case at every stage.
The National Commission of Human Rights (NCHR), with whom a complaint was first filed against the harasser, could not pursue her case. Later, when the complaint was filed with CADD, her plea was heard and an inquiry was conducted but the results were never shared with her.
Too much hush hush . Pakistan is an Islamic county . Dirty Shalwars cannot be washed in public
“Afterwards, the Islamabad Club formed its own inquiry committee which was biased and in violation of the law. The committee had concluded its inquiry in favour of Ismail, which was set-aside by this office,” the statement from the ombudsman’s secretariat added. Of course, Ismail has "powerful" friends in the enquiry committee !
Later, she approached the federal ombudsmen secretariat and filed a plea under the harassment at the workplace law. After thorough investigations, the decision was announced. The ombudsman also ordered Islamabad Club to pay a fine of Rs0.1 million “for not having a duly constituted inquiry committee under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2010”.
Will she now have the gumption of working at the Isloo club , when rumours about her "character" must be flying left and right like bazaar gossip

Ahmedi Dollars Kosher For Paki Dams

Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya pledges $15,000 donation for Pakistan’s dams
PT
Sept 29, 2018
amaat-e-Ahmadiyya (JA) has announced to donate $15,000 in the dams fund after Prime Minister Imran Khan made an appeal to the local and overseas Pakistanis to help the country counter its water woes.
The Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams fund set-up by Supreme Court Chief Justice Saqib Nisar and endorsed by PM Khan has crossed the Rs 4 billion mark. Notable persons from the business community and overseas Pakistanis have made donations for the cause that aims at resolving the issue of water scarcity in the country.According to Rabwah Times, JA chief Mirza Masroor Ahmad wrote a letter to his party’s chapter in America, asking for a grant of $15,000 (Rs 1.8 million) in check from the central reserve via the Pakistani embassy.
Even when they are discriminated like "hell", their heart is still in Pakiland
“Apart from this, if anyone wants to send an amount at an individual level then they can hand it over through the Pakistani embassy,” he added.
So, he is "encouraging" other Ahmedis as well !
People belonging to the Ahmadiyya community in different countries have also started making contributions in the cause to build dams in Pakistan, the report said, mentioning that overseas Ahmadi Pakistanis Abdul Saboor and Wajiha Chaudhry have already made a contribution of $1,000,000 (Rs 13 crore) in the dams fund.
The rabid Anti Ahmedi GOP led by Imran Khan has no hesitation in accepting tainted and /or kuffar money
Is it OK with the Islam Brigade
In September, renowned economist and member of the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) Dr Atif Mian had resigned from his post following a request by the government after mounting pressure from religio-political groups against the appointment of a member of Ahmadiyya community.
Did Atif Mian did his share of donation ?

Pakistan needs to reduce out-of-school children - Zia Ur Rehman

The number of out-of-school children in Pakistan has crossed 23 million, despite claims of provincial governments of reforms in the education sector.

In 2017, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department carried out a comprehensive OOSC survey. The data was provided to the education directorate to address OOSC, but a year later, the directorate hasn’t devised a strategy to mitigate OOSC. Enrollment drives remain directionless, not backed by tangible targets.

A typical public sector enrollment campaign starts at the provincial level, instructing teachers to ensure maximum enrollment. The directorates of education then collect data for the number of children enrolled, but the data compilation process takes six months. Banners and posters of enrollment campaigns continue to hang in schools as OOSC continue to work in mechanic shops, agriculture fields and garbage collection.

To ensure campaigns are targeted toward the enrollment of OOSC, the education departments need to work with other departments, forming inter-departmental coordination committees, to ensure policies are implemented. Strict implementation of child labor laws can also direct OOSC to schools. The Ministry of Human Rights needs to devise laws banning child servants in homes. Introducing technical and vocational training in schools will further attract children.

Most OOSC are poor, being the only bread earners of their families. A public-private partnership can increase the enrollment of OOSC, since non-profit organizations and private sectors can sponsor children to can continue school. Alternatively, the private sector can explore job opportunities for the parents of such children.

Children between the ages of 10 to 15 can be enrolled in speed learning. Non-governmental organizations have started speed-learning programs in KP and Punjab, but lack of resources and government-ownership has helped only a few thousand children.

Teachers’ attendance in the public sector used to be such a problem, but monitoring units in the last five years improved attendance in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A similar model can be piloted by the government to eliminate OOSC. Independent monitoring and implementation units for OOSC will not only identify OOSC but also monitor their school attendance. The units will coordinate with other departments and ministries to ensure associated laws and mechanisms for improving retention rates are in place.

UK’s Department for International Development supports the Punjab and KP governments in education reforms. United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, The United States Agency for International Development and Germany’s Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit support government enrollment campaigns and have projects in place to support the education sector. Pakistan can seek their support once it establishes a reform strategy.
