Whats the S-300 for? S-200 can take care of Israeli planes.
IFF issue reason why S-200 ended up shooting Russian IL-20 , There is no integrated IFF as of today between Syrian AD and Russian AD , So all communication is via RT only , cant work in short reaction time and prone to error/gooof ups

S-300 will have integrated IFF with Russian AD so SAA will be able to discriminate between freiend and foe

Russia will deploy electronic warfare systems in Syria to combat high-precision weapons

https://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/5617129
Russia will deploy electronic warfare (EW) systems in Syria to counter high-precision weapons. The whole system of REB will be strengthened in the coming weeks, adviser of the first deputy general director of the concern "Radioelectronic Technologies" (KRET) Vladimir Mikheev told TASS.

"To conventional radar protection systems, systems will be added that can fight high-precision weapons-guided bombs and missiles, which Israel will probably use, who has already stated that it will continue to work on objects in the region," Mikheyev said.

According to him, "in addition, systems and facilities will be put in place that will block all systems and means of controlling aviation and ship groupings." "This is a system for suppressing HF and VHF radio communications," Mikheev specified.

According to him, the means of EW in Syria will be significantly expanded and supplemented in the coming weeks. "Unequivocally, a decision has been made, and the minister announced it." I think at the same time, which are indicated on the build-up of the anti-aircraft missile grouping (delivery of Syria S-300 within two weeks - TASS comment), at the same time, deployed in the new positions of the REB system, "- said Mikheev.

Integration with air defense

According to Mikheev, the strengthened electronic warfare system will be fully integrated with air defense. "The classical air defense system implies radar and radio reconnaissance, and an anti-aircraft missile system, and a fighter cover system, and a REB system." All these REB systems that will be delivered will be fully integrated with the air defense automated control system. This system will create the so-called reconnaissance and interference fire complexes, which completely cover the areas of concentration of our troops from the use on them not only of drones, but also of guided cancers t and airplanes ", - said Mikheyev.

The representative of KRET also said that "the possibilities to suppress space navigation systems will be increased, primarily, Navstar and Galileo, and other systems that can be used in this region."

I suspect with Navstar, Galileo etc getting jammed they will have to completly stop the general civilan aircraft over flight over Syria if they have not does already , Powerful Jammers can screw up Navigation and can even have burn through capability against non-hardened electronics ,it can fry it

seems to be no commercial flights over syria even now except perhaps to iran/iraq. they all go over turkey or jordan/israel.

nobody wants to bet on syrian ATC given the free for all in there.

Looks like S300 have landed in Syria include 4 launchers and 49 pieces of equipment in total. I am sure these 4 launchers constitute just 1 unit and these will be upgraded to 16 in short course.

For the first time in history a mid-eastern arab nation has capability to shoot down an Israeli plane over tel aviv.

the rest might be coming by ship from the barents or black sea. the AN124 sorties flew in the bootstrap starter pack to get things moving for training.

being a mature product, russia would have a vast arsenal of s300.

Well how could IDF detect these "Stealth Drones" at a stand off distance, Nato or Israeli Awacs or Ground based Radar?

If the drones flew from Iran, how did they communicate with the base? Does Iran have satellite comm?

Or is it just a INS system. go to X and come back

does not look very big ... were likely brought forward in trucks to western iraq desert and then launched with upto 4 atgm each onto the ISIS colonies along the border
or maybe the iranians in the syrian desert already have some in hand

i doubt its combat radius would be more than 200km best case.

It's far from certain the S300 can easily shoot down an Isreali plane over Damascus, much less Tel Aviv. Not saying it isn't dangerous, but SAM's are always overhyped.

due to hills and mountains over the syria-israel(golan) and syria-lebanon border, the low level coverage of radars sited in syria over both these nations will be zero. over the sea yes it is possible if suitable placed in the hills of latakia....the russians already do that from their coastal airbase.
the only snow capped mount in israel Mt Hernon or Hermon is on golan front.

at high level I guess things can be tracked but IDF attack planes will know all this and fly low

the coverage over jordan and eastern syria will be good and may hinder these attack channels that IDF has used in the past.

once a raid is detected and able to track and target, the s300 will be a lot more dangerous than the S200/Buk? they have been trying so far. it will need a lot of s300 launchers and radars to properly lock down a airspace the size of syria though...the attacker always as advantage of when and were to sneak in.

now if syria had kalibr and iskander and able to retaliate into israel for such attacks 1:1 the game would change totally. russia will not give them such weapons. they can try to develop themselves or get some from the iranians maybe. IDF has been careful to avoid attacking syrian army formations and goes after warehouses and bases of the iranians and hezbollah only.

syria really has no airborne assets to confront and deter the intruding israeli a/c. just GBAD is not enough. something like the Mig31BM with its R37M and AA12 with height and speed could be an asset as a BVR slash n run sniper to disrupt and confront :D

at high level yes possible .... the big missiles have onboard radar and data link for initial ground provided waypoints.

there is no way a radar in damascus can track low flyovers over israel due to mountains in between.

lets hope the syrians dont get enthusiastic and shoot down a passenger airliner over tel aviv.

what is S300 capability ?

the radar control unit of S300 is a data aggregator and can accept feed/datalink from an awacs/a50 type aerial reconnaisance platform as well as other distributed ground radar stations in the soviet uragan mold. So tel aviv coverage is not from radar physically located in damascus.

Secondly these systems act in consonance with krasukha and other ew and electronic jamming systems which make it difficult for GPS guided gliding bombs and remotely piloted drones and uav to strike back. Only solution is to launch hundreds of drones capable of autonomous operation and hardened electronics and hope that they can hurl dumb bombs at the target from standoff distance.

33 Syrian children have been paralysed by the ”anti-polio” vaccines administered by the UN’s Red Cross minions. Not only does the vaccine cripple children; it becomes ‘wild’ polio, and is contagious. More kids have been injured by the UN’s vaccine program than indigenous polio has afflicted this year. Are we just paranoid?

UN is US

During the Korea War the U.S. dropped infected insects and rodents over north Korea and China to infect people with deadly diseases.

Various pathogens, including anthrax, were used against the civilian population.

During the Vietnam war the U.S. sprayed thousand of square miles with poisonous defoliants.

It tested biological weapons on the people of Hawaii, Alaska, Maryland, Florida, Canada and Britain.

In 2002 weaponized anthrax spores from the U.S. biological warfare laboratory in Fort Derrick were used to scare U.S. politicians into agreeing to the Patriot Act.

At least five people were killed.

And why is the U.S. Air Force looking for synovial tissue and RNA samples collected specifically from Caucasian people in Russia

EW system 'Khibiny' is the tech rumoured to be associated with the mysterious Iranian scientist Keshe.

It was used in 2014 against the USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea, by an old Russian bomber, which performed a dozen fly-pasts fully-armed, while the ship’s entire electronic systems and its AEGIS battle radar system shut down. When the ship docked in Romania the crew walked off and refused to re-board.

‘Khibiny’ is installed in many cutting-edge weapons systems; the Armata tank, the S-400 missiles and the Su-57 fighter.

Uncle Sam's grunts are unable to even comprehend what Boris has put together.

re khibiny

From the systems of the previous generation the complex “Khibiny” is characterized by increased power and intelligence. It is able to help in controlling the aircraft’s weapons, create a false radio-electronic environment, and also provide a breakthrough in the enemy’s echeloned air defense.

Today, the Syrian Reconciliation Center operated by the Russians out of humaimim AB in Latakia sent an urgent message to the residents of Idlib Province. below is it's rough translation.
“To the brothers and sisters in Idlib City. You will witness during the coming days big changes. After Russia and Turkey signed an agreement for the stabilization of the places in which you live, there will be work to set up demilitarized areas whose boundaries shall be at a depth of 15-20 kms from the front lines.

Turkey has decided to pull out all tanks, artillery, mortars, 23mm machine guns and launchers from the area before the 10th day of October of 2018. Likewise, the Turkish Armed Forces will work to withdraw the terrorist and extremist groups like Hay`at Tahreer Al-Shaam, Hurraas Al-Deen, Jund Al-Aqsaa, and the Turkestaan Islamic Party and Uigher and Chechen fighters before the 15th of October because there was an agreement that they were terrorist organizations.

And as of the 15th of October, Russian and Turkish squads will enter the demilitarized zones with the task of monitoring and preventing the return of the armed groups and searching for hidden heavy weapons.

“All these implemented procedures shall contribute to the restoration of stability and security to your homes. It is incumbent upon the armed (groups) to understand that adherence to the conditions of the Russian-Turkish agreement is the last opportunity to prevent the military operation against the terrorists and extremists.”

eyewitness reports of USA activities @ Deir Ez Zor

At Al-Shu’fah yesterday, a routine scene was played out with American helicopters observed by citizens and well-placed observers, ferrying ISIS leaders into the area controlled by the Islamist group. This pocket is located in the far southeast of the province. A similar scenario was being played out at Al-Maraashida, except for that in this instance the terrorists were being deployed, as opposed to being taken out of harm’s way. One source said that the CIA was using independent contractors to accomplish this in order to give the U.S. government credible deniability. But, we all know what’s going on. Nothing clever.

Latest News About S-300 delivery to syria

Previously believed versions said that initially Russia had just supplied Syria with 4 launchers and 29 pieces of equipment. So this nudged everyone to believe that this was just a skeletal force of S300 given to Syrians and Russians had come under pressure from Israel to give Syrians bare minimum of control over their skies from NATO-Israeli aggression.

But now more news trickling in reveals the following details.

In addition to what it seems 8 S-300PMU2 launchers, Russia has also delivered three battalions of S-300PM of 8 launchers each, it seems they came from Russia’s own strategic reserve, so this means these S300 units are Russian made for Russia’s own air defense (no export variant), and this explains why Syria is getting all the new radars (none to work with export variants).

What is not clear is the # of missiles to be used on the S300s, but it is believed to be way higher than 100 units, several different types as well, mid-long distance ones.

Now adding up all these supplies in total you have 24 launchers.

Russia is serious and has created a No-Fly Zone above syria.

Expect Israel to continue striking Iranian targets again soon, but relying more on standoff air launched missiles and stealthy cruise missiles. They might even start using limiting overflights of Syrian territory to F-35’s only.

Standoff air launched missiles and cruise missiles will not work anymore thanks to the khibiny and krasukha EW and jammer systems employed extensively along with the S300.

Khibiny jammer on a Su-24 had jammed an entire USS Donald Cook in the black sea. It is full of dark technologies based on certain innovations spearheaded by a freak Iranian scientist.

Krasukha EW systems on other hand take over control of cruise missiles, remotely piloted systems, drones, gliding bombs all of which rely on OBE systems to navigate and communicate back with controllers on shore. So Israel launched CM, gliding bombs can theoritically hit back at Israel or it can be diverted into Idlib. All these systems will not work anymore. Only dumb systems will.

"It is full of dark technologies based on certain innovations spearheaded by a freak Iranian scientist."

In the 19 years that I've visited this forum, it's amazing what it's devolved to. I understand that the s300 and s400 are formidable systems but American and Israeli defense scientists are not idiots. Moreover, your rantings that the USS Donald Cook was entirely disabled is asinine. No credible publication has published this. The only certainty (so far) is that Assad is alive and able to govern a vast swath of rubble. Congratulations on that.

Well, if you google keshe, you will also come across the word magrav technologies. (magnetic gravitational).
Now keshe in interests of global peace decided to make his work available to any country that wanted to use his tech for free and Russia, China, France & Iran had taken up on his offer and developed magrav based electronic warfare systems capable of jamming offensive naval platforms.

Iranian born nuclear engineer keshe says here about magrav technology
The aircraft carriers will become nothing but floating bathtubs if our Magravs technology is used effectively, and the runways full of Aircraft-Fighters and so on will be nothing but runway museums of iron birds, as these craft will not be able to fly if their electronic systems are once touched by Magravs space technology.
These crafts and battleships would have to be rewired from A to Z before they could ever operate again.
The necessity of the US Navy to develop countermeasures against “magrav technology”, this report says, was clearly shown to them last year after Federation air forces completely disabled the feared AEGIS destroyer USS Donald Cook in the Black Sea. So demoralizing was this attack against the USS Donald Cook, when it limped into a Romanian port for repairs, all 27 of its officers put in for reassignment and/or retirement.
“Magrav technology”, its import to note, was conceived by the Iranian-born nuclear engineer Mehran Keshe, but whose works are banned from public use in the United States under an Executive Order signed by President Obama on 23 April 2012.
After Donald Cooke incident, the French government had a chance to display it’s Magrav technology prowess in a war games exercise on March 2, 2015 where one of their submarines “sunk” the aircraft carrier the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The Roosevelt was testing its countermeasures against the Magrav technology. It failed miserably, just like the USS Donald Cook

https://southfront.org/russia-tests-unr ... ic-weapon/

Consequently, if you google for magrav or keshe there are a number of links that try hard to prove how keshe was a fraud and how his inventions do not work, but the electronic warfare systems based on keshe tech employed by Russia yet have not come across these google links that deny their effectiveness so they continue to jam platforms that are multiple times stronger than them.

No credible publication has published this

you will never find any proof for these kind of incidents, only tell tale evidence.

How about this, a USS aircraft carrier goes on a global 'deployment' and finds itself a dock too small on itinary and anchors itself in coastal waters. Well if the visit was truly planned in advance, won't they have taken care of this contingency ??

The Naval Surface Forces (NSF) of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) are reporting today that three nuclear-powered Akula-class submarines belonging to the 24th Submarine Division of the Northern Fleet (NF) successfully “war-gamed” the American aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt [photo 2nd left] causing it to “flee in terror” towards the waters off the Hampshire coast in the United Kingdom.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... visit.html

Within hours of the NSF reporting this critical incident, it’s interesting to note, British press sources confirmed that this US Navy behemoth of “100,000 tons of firepower” did indeed dock off Stokes Bay in Gosport stunning the thousands of spectators who jammed roads and lined the banks of the River Solent to see it, but which they, also, described as a port call, though none had been scheduled.
