On 9 Nov'18, a C-130 Hercules of the Pakistan Air Force experienced burst tyres during a take-off run from Nur Khan (Islamabad Int'l AP (Pakistan). All crew could escape the incident without injuries.

This looks more than just a simple "tire" burst "during takeoff".

Also rumor on VT4 tank being chosen. They were run a trail between Oplot and VT4.

Pak is inducting lot of Chini export kit. Looks like Pak gives requirement to Chini producers and they come up with a product. Chinis then use this to find other customers.

They are using Chini MIC to their advantage. Because they are not been inducted in Chinese forces, I wonder if they are been sold at loss to prepare a base for other customers.

Paki DDM reporting.
A notable exhibit at IDEAS 2018 was the Chinese SH15 155mm self-propelled howitzer. The gun, reportedly under consideration by the Pakistan Army, has a maximum range of 50km – with rocket-assisted projectiles. Capable of lobbing four to six shells per minute, the gun if inducted, will neutralise the marginal edge the Indian army has achieved in self-propelled artillery after the induction of the South Korean K9 Thunder. Thus, the Pakistan Army’s Artillery Corps will retain its long-held advantage.
World record setting ATAGS trials and induction K9, Dhanush and ULH has caused a lot of brown pants in Pindi. Pakjabis are desperate for H&D and are showcasing chinese ding dong rockets to claim aa ij well :rotfl:

Thailand bought the VT4. Cheen is the MIC of military dictatorships the world over.

Watch out for some castoffs from the PLAAF too.

https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news ... y-aircraft
China Seeking To Offload Surplus Military Aircraft

China is intent on selling off a number of technologically advanced aircraft, including radar platforms and interdiction and attack aircraft that apparently have fallen short of People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) expectations after just a few years of operational service.
...
Most intriguing is the offer of the Shaanxi KJ-200 airborne early warning aircraft, which entered PLAAF service as recently as 2009. Based on the platform of the Shaanxi Y-8, a localized Antonov An-12 transport, the KJ-200 features a large active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar mounted above the fuselage in a manner resembling the Saab Erieye.
...
Poly Technologies is also promoting the Shenyang JH-7 interdiction aircraft ... describes the aircraft as a twin-engine, tandem-seat, supersonic fighter-bomber able to carry a bombload of up to 6.5 tonnes and capable of long-range strikes with precision-guided munitions.

What is wrong with the Thais. First they buy Chini Subamarines and now the MBT's. It is not as if they cant buy superior stuff. Why are they buying sub par equipment and legitimizing the Chinese MIC? How come US does not leverage its relationship with Thailand to make them see sense?

Pakistan's golden gun shines at Egypt Defence Expo.

Hundreds of companies showcased their products at the three-day event and 40 countries were represented at the event.

Among the items on display are US armoured personnel carriers, Indian and Saudi assault rifles, gold-plated firearms from Pakistan, and models of French-made Rafale fighter jets.
I bet pakistanis secured the highest business and orders for gold plating of German rifles. :rotfl:

Sirji - that is part of the Pak Fauj tactical brilliance! What is the best way to bowl a googly or do a 'chal' on hostage takers? Have a jeep overturn and the hostage takers get confused and stop their hostage taking and instead 'embrace' rescue operations. Chinis know better not to get involved to expose the quality of their jeeps, else will lead to 're-education'.

Diversionary tactics are a real part of paki narrative. That's why "whataboutery" is their national past time. But can someone explain the rationale behind the "greener than the green" smoke from the "taken over bus"? How did the hostages convince their hijackers to look the other way?

Turkish aerospace is no joke. They might take away the Paki 5th program from the FC-31 after they took the attack helo from the Z-10.

Not surprising, in the end this is a roundabout way to access US tech which Pukes are enamored with to this very day.

#Pakistan is interested in FC-31 of #China and TAI TFX of #Turkey . One of the platforms will be selected as a base for #PAF Project Azm. The selected platform will be inducted when production starts. Besides Pakistan eyes a stealth version of JF-17 too .

This had to happen, especially with the S-400 deal going through for India.

Paki Army seeks to procure Chinese FD-2000 long range SAM systems- report
Pakistan is studying the feasibility of procuring three or four FD-2000 long-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems from China to fulfill its long-range air defence requirements, TASS news agency reported citing Pakistan Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) official.

FD-2000 (Fang Dun, Defensive Shield) is the export designation of the HQ-9 (Hong Qi-9) air defense system developed by the China Precision Machinery Import-Export Corporation (CPMIEC). The system is based extensively on the Russian S-300PMU air defense missile system.

Each HQ-9 launcher contains four missiles stored in individual containers and is transported on Taian TA5380 8×8 high mobility chassis. The missile is armed with a 180 kg warhead, has a maximum speed of Mach 4.2. and has a maximum engagement range of 125 km up to an altitude of 27 km.

FD-2000 system can intercept not only aircraft, attack helicopters and UAVs, but also cruise missiles, air-to-ground missiles and stand-off precision guided bombs.

Pakistan has already procured nine HQ-16-based LY-80 medium-range SAM systems from China.

Pakistan has also become the first operator of the newest Chinese portable QW-18 anti-aircraft missile system. “At present, the first batch of these MANPADS has been received, consisting of about 200 launchers and about 1 thousand anti-aircraft guided missiles. In the future, deliveries will continue, while the mass production line of this weapon is being prepared for launch under a Chinese license,” the official was quoted as saying.

You are guys are pointing out that Russia is selling them choppers in 2018.

They were offered Su27 to Pak in.... 1991. Three years after they left with 15k dead men.

Money is thicker than blood.

Paks are so confident about themselves, they are looking forward to getting Su35 now! They think India bought S400, because Pak was getting it first!

If they are ready to pay, I am damn sure, they will get Su35.

A big-ticket purchase of military hardware from Russia wouldn't go unnoticed in Washington, both in Foggy Bottom and at the World Bank. The bigger question is - does Pak have the kind of money to fund a Su-35 purchase?

And with due respect sir, didn't we offer some $500 mn worth Line of Credit to Dhaka for buying defence equipment from here.

The same Bangladeshis who killed our BSF personnel in 2001 and again had clashes with since..
