BREAKING: Pakistan Air Force fighter jets attempted to violate airspace at LoC Rajouri a short while ago. Initial information suggests they turned back after running into an IAF Combat Air Patrol (CAP) that's been on since early this morning.
RIP brave pilots..Kashi wrote:Unfortunately yes.

1. Mi-17 crash on India side.
2. Another (unconfirmed) fighter which fell on Porki side. Probably an IAF Mig-21, pilot alive but held.
PAF seems to have dropped bombs in Naushera sector.
This is full scale conflict gentlemen, no more speculation.
Are there any MiG-21 bases up there? It seems to be an odd place to base or operate a short-legged, old unreliable plane with engine issues.Sid wrote:There seems to be two incidents,

I hope we shoot down a couple of then and take the pilots prisoners and negotiate release of ours in exchange for themTwo PAF F-16 jets led the intrusion, are said to have dropped weapons in four locations along the LoC. IAF Su-30s on Combat Air Patrol in the area likely engaged, pushed back.
From US State Department here:Concern Regarding India-Pakistan Tensions
Press Statement
Michael R. Pompeo
Secretary of State

February 26, 2019
Following Indian counter-terrorism actions on February 26, I spoke with Indian Minister of External Affairs Swaraj to emphasize our close security partnership and shared goal of maintaining peace and security in the region. I also spoke to Pakistani Foreign Minister Qureshi to underscore the priority of de-escalating current tensions by avoiding military action, and the urgency of Pakistan taking meaningful action against terrorist groups operating on its soil. I expressed to both Ministers that we encourage India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, and avoid escalation at any cost. I also encouraged both Ministers to prioritize direct communication and avoid further military activity.

I mean, if anything goes wrong and the pilot has to eject, he/she could end up in POK.
so this makes it official.nam wrote:As expected strike on our post in JK.

They are claiming one Mi-17 as Mig-21. Caught in their own white lie, as they were trying to pass it as their own kill.parshuram wrote:DG ISPR has offically stated that two MIg 21's shot . One is in POK and Pilot captured ... IAF denying
Why strike terror camps sir.. They have shown audacity to target our army posts.. We must reply in kind and make sure its not a kind reply..Prem Kumar wrote:Methinks, they will intrude, drop bombs on random unpopulated places, claim theykilled 100sshot-down a couple of MIGs and go back to rewrite their history books. They will not dare engage with the IAF. This way, their domestic audience is happy. And if they don't hit anyone on our side, our IAF won't tear them a new one. So, they can consider the matter closed.
I predict it won't escalate further, unless we decide to do chaddi-utharo for a few more camps. In fact this may be the best time to do so. Fog of War and all that. They don't even have to acknowledge that we went in a 2nd time.

In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.

While top govt sources told ndtv 250 casualties but this was not on record. FS also didnt mention any figure. As an old govt hand said -‘How on earth do they know they've murdered A, B, C... when they dropped bombs under cover of darkness?’hmm
