If anyone has read/seen interviews of G Parthasarathy, then Indian Ambassador to Pakistan when F/Lt Nachiketa had to eject due to engine flameout,
he refused to be part of any handover ceremony. He insisted F/Lt. N be handed over to Red Cross as per Geneva Convention (and without any media tamasha since Red Cross doesnt make good media optics) and thereafter to Indian High Commission.

Sadly Indian public and media with their desire for soap opera have made it into a sick tamasha. Ideally media should have been banned from the border.

Very poor perception management, narrative control and PR by Indian MoD & MEA in contrast to DG ISPR whose blatant lies controlled the narrative and managed the perception.

PS - I hope Modi ji in his second innings makes G Parthasarathy the External Affairs Minister. Sad to see such great national talent unused. And motormouth B S Yeduriappa Governor of A&N or Lakshyadweep.

100% in agreement tsarkar ji.
Need specialists in charge to avoid such a disaster. We have a TV hungry post Kargil public and they would rather take the Enemy's word than to wait for ours.

I know punjabis love festivals and spectacles but cant they get entertained with something else? like netflix :D

this is like syria and the isis holding a border gate ceremony every evening. panders to the equal-equal they are like us only brigade.

GOI needs to shut down the circus. for good.

The Akalis-BJP government in Punjab when ruling last has created a huge patriotic-religious tourist circuit.
Entering Punjab there is a museum of Banda Bahadur close to Mohali aka Ajitgarh (after elder son of Guru Gobind Singh ji)

Then another 20 miles there is a Virasat-e-Khalsa museum with whole of Sikh history.
Then traveling up towards Ludhiana there is a Bhagat Singh Museum .

There is are various other museums (Harappa sites, temples, etc).
On the road towards Amritsar after Jalandhar a new museum has come up called Jang-e-Azadi memorial recently opened

Then you enter Amritsar and see various memorials Jalianwala Bagh, Golden Temple, Memorial for the victims of 1947 partition, etc. The last culminating point is Wagah Border where every single day there are anywhere between 10000-15000 people gather to see parades among patriotic music every day for free. This is the reason that now more people visit Amritsar than Taj Mahal.

The Zee News Anchor said that the Pakis wanted to handover the WingCo between 1730 & 1800 hrs IST, when the Closing the gate ceremony would be on, so as to get maximum eyeballs and TV time.

GOI said yes and promptly cancelled the ceremony.

This got their nadas knotted and by the time they unknotted it, they had managed to delay the return by approximately 4 hours or so.

so basically what it means is that the pakistani MEA decided that crises hasn't tided over.

what really happened !
around 5pm TSPA took Abhinandan to batapur barracks from wagah citing that they had some 'pending paperwork' and there they made the propaganda video that featured abhinandan. Their MEA or whoever else may have got wind of this bright idea and decided that airspace was nowhere near safe to be opened.

Yes, the Pakistani establishment is actually using our media to divert attention and create mis-perceptions. And sadly our media has no filters, only the rush to publish crap.

Only Mirror Now & Faye D'Souza did the correct thing by deliberately going slow to verify facts and proudly saying so.

Don't worry, one more nonmilitary, peace-loving offensive action will let all those perceptions die in a second. Pakis know that and hence their airspace is still not open :)

While perceptions do matter and narrative control is essential esp. for public opinion engineering, in the context of India vs TSP what really matters is that planners on both sides now now that TSPs nuclear bluff has been called.

Now on regular such responses can be expected by tsp. The era of restraint is gone. Esp. If modi comes back.

OpIndia and Nupur Sharma are doing a great job.

Be careful of Faye D'Souza. She is a anti-Hindu bigot. Her bigotry got called out. And mirror now is circumspect and taking a pro-India track currently. Times group has several media outlets that play to all galleries. Their primary business is to pimp news! More controversial their news are, more eyeballs to their sites and channels and more ad impressions and hence more revenue.

True, however

1. The psyops edited video will only impress the bakis and few nominal Indian who will grab at anything that can be used to put GOI/Modi down.
2. The tamasha will not play well with the rest and the world at large.
3. After the next slap all this will vanish.

TSPA think of the world as they thing of their own Media and mango apduls. Distressing but we will get over it.

At such delicate times the GOI should at least consult with the past Ambassador especially those who have seen similar situations before. A Clear miss by this GOI.

Unless the pain is not inflicted upon the handlers any preemptive strike is useless. The stand off would have lasted a while but would have resulted in PA realising the cost of retaliation for any misadventures would have to be borne by them. This process would also ensure a gradual depletion of critical war supplies.

Sir! There is a professional way military works.
1. Local human Intelligence to strike where.
2. Electronics intelligence.
3. images, pictures from recce and satellite.
4. find out the targets and make plans (A,B,C).
5. figure out the weapon type based on fortifications.
6. Then at optimum time strike and complete the mission.

Now!! Terrorist training sites will have round the clock surveillance from ground as well as air (not before).
Baki army might even provide them with SAM .

So! Expect next terrorist attack in 1-3 months either from the sleeper cells or from Kashmiri Jihadis just to influence elections. India needs to keep up the diplomatic pressure by getting them the declared a Jihadi nation and on black FAFT list.

Was watching TV Today and a while back the anchor asked another what next per his GOI sources. The reply was that things where in motion and obviously he couldn't discuss what he had heard on TV.

His tone and his words did suggest to me that GOI is going to carry forward what has started. The action my be now of after a certain interval but it is inevitable.

Seems the wheels are already set in motion.

In all the ho ha one thing we forgot is PAF bombed Brigade,Battalion HQ and Ammo/logistics dump and it has confirmed that the bomb fell inside the compound. Not 120 MM, not 155 MM not mortar, not artillery. An air dropped weapon on a military target.

Luckily no losses

This means it is open season for PA targets. I will be surprised if 155 MM are not already raining on PA targets.

The point is we can carry out a full fledged standoff war without crossing the LoC.

IAF can bomb PA frontline positions and fire BVR at PAF jets without crossing the LoC.

There will no Mig21 debris in PoK, nor our pilots..
