Military Installation : Mushaf Airbase, Sargodha

Name: Mushaf Airbase. IATA Code: BHW

Type: Major Pakistan Air Force base and nuclear weapons storage site.

Location: Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan.

Coordinates: 32°02′34″N 72°40′43″E

Comments: PAF base Mushaf in Sargodha, Punjab is one of more important military establishments for multiple reasons:

1. It is Central air command of PAF. It also houses Combat Commanders School which has Skybolts flying Dassault Mirage 111/5 and Dashings currently flying Chengdu F.7P. These can be seen parked out in open often.
2. Number 9 and 19 Squadrons with F-16A/B Block 15. Unlike Mirage and F7 mentioned above, F-16s spend most of their time in hardened shelters.
3. Number 24 Squadron flying Electronic Warfare aircraft based on French Dassault Falcon 20 airframe.
4. A large number of Pakistani nuclear warheads and missiles like M-11 are stored here.

Hate to say this this, but PAF airbases have a much larger number of Hardened Aircraft Shelters, more than the number of aircraft they have. For the IAF, the situation w.r.t the Su-30s is even more grave - they are exposed most of the time, parked under thin-skinned sun shelters or outside the inadequately sized HASs, protected only by the berms/walls. A handful of airbases have larger HASs, but in very limited no.s - at most a flight of sukhois can be sheltered. The situation for the IAF is worse in the eastern sector.
Lets hope the NGHAS project moves super quick. I have always felt this is the IAF's achilles heel. Imagine a significant number of your prime fighter taken out of the battle in a surprise air / missile strike on day 1.

We should get some GE images of Pak Corps/Brigade HQ on LoC. I am pretty sure they must have been hit post Pak attack on our Brigade HQ.

GE would show some blacken areas.

Pratik ji, some labelling and captions would help people understand what you are presenting.

Otherwise every reader has to re-do the work and spend the same time and effort you have devoted without anyone being wiser.

All major indian air bases are within pak missile range. Some well aimed or lucky strikes can end up damaging large number of exposed aircraft.

It doesnt matter if this has eaten into their countries progress. We still have to face this infrastructure if we go to war. Btw most of their military funding has been generously subsidised by the US and rich islamic countries.

Is there any list of Chinese (and if possible Paki) military facilities of interest to India in kmz/kml format.
Even a text list will work as long as it has coordinates. I've spent weeks and getting tired of scrolling through maps.

Sir, we have predefined algorithms to detect the targets based on real-time sat imagery, of course there are chances of being fooled as these are automated but then we have secondary and other manual checks in place.

So keep calm!! Try to find some computer program or algorithms then spending time on manual stuff. It is sort of last resort but shouldn’t be the first choice.
