This press briefing is a symptom which exposes lack of faith and self respect this nation has. Despite earlier MoD statements, IAF showcase of AMRAAM, Defense ministers statements we still doubt it.
This is plain reaction to trolling by porkis on media, and Twitter. Don’t feed the troll!!
IAF's statement looks like Executive Summary of what Sameer Joshi wrote in long blog full of facts, technical details, information available from social media and logical conclusions.

I read tweets by several Paki defence experts over the weekend but did not want to post it. The tweets were in response to several Indian journalists posting on twitter what IAF showed them i.e. images of radar tracks of F-16 disappearing. The Pakis quickly started posting that PAF had deployed highly sophisticated EW systems (which ones were not mentioned neither did repeated calls of at least posting origin of such EW equipment) which are capable of spoofing Phalcon and generating false radar tracks on Phalcon's screens. Hence even if IAF presents radar tracks as proof, it would be based on false radar tracks as seen by Phalcon and thus no F-16 went down onlee.
Point is, no matter what evidence IAF/GoI provides, Pakis will come up with some thing absurd to preserve their H&D and this will be used by our stupid media & jerks like Coupta to instill doubts about IAF's statements & to hammer this current Govt.
Dont bother about Pakis, this is for us to enjoy the details. Further proof JF 17 is BVR and PGM nude1.They were in the area as display pieces neither doing a bombing round or engaging the IAF

Zynda, those PAF propaganda guys are Idiots. The IAF's AWACS are L-Band AESAs with very low sidelobes, frequency agility and many other advanced ECCM features. Now which L Band deception jammer with high ERP does PAF field, and how did this jammer only magically work when F-16 was to be shot down and till then, it didn't work, allowing IAF to vector Bisons to F-16s and track the air battle?
Pakistani F-16s have X-band and above jammers. They don't work against India's Phalcons or Netras. They couldn't even jam IAF Su-30 MKIs or Mirage 2000s.

I don't think presser was directed towards PAF or domestic consumption, or in response to FP but more so to the American lobby and Pentagon. I wouldn't discredit the F-16, rather the poor training of the PAF pilots.
This episode is getting hilarious. For a moment let's take India and Pakistan out of the frame. What would be our opinion if instead of India and Pakistan the parties were SoKo and NoKo, Greece and Turkey, US and Canada, Finland and Russia. The whole world would have been laughing.
What is the point of giving further evidence. The constituency of people like seniors at BRF and IAF experts have already given a plausible explanation, which those of us who wish to know and examine have agreed to. The group of nay-sayers, and those who doubt anything good coming out of India, will never agree, even if Vasudeva was to appear in his Vishvarupam and state the obvious.
By offering 'dosas' one after the other we are just diverting attention from the true narrative. Just keep quiet and smack them again when the time is right.
1st Pic from LDev is of the battlespace again Phalcon or IACCS.
Pic above in my post, 2nd Pic from LDev is of the F-16 track vanish etc, i.e. live Phalcon image of targets.
Another pic of Battlespace:

If I am reading these images properly the engagement did not happen near the loc but deep inside POK right near Mirpur and just a stone's throw away from paki border with pok
Fairly conclusive. I can think of a million "bahanas" and BS claims the Pakistani side can come up with, but at this point, its obvious what happened.
Claim 1: PAF has jammers/EW
Prove where PAF has any sort of high power L Band jammer & how these didn't work all the while and only when F-16 disappeared
Claim2: PAF aircraft dipped into the terrain and vanished
Phalcon is designed to pick up low flying aircraft against ground clutter & in heavy EW conditions
This electronically steered beam radar delivers a tremendous advantage over mechanical rotating antenna, as it supports the tracking a high maneuvering targets. The radar can detect even low flying objects from distances of hundreds of kilometers, day and night, under all weather conditions. Verification beams sent at specific, individual, newly detected targets eliminate false alarms. Moreover, track initiation is achieved in 2 to 4 seconds as compared to 20 to 40 seconds with a rotodome radar
^ I didn't know Chinese baby monitors (not radios) with AA batteries were so sophisticated. The message has been delivered on a day when the new CentCom chief is in Isloo.
Pukis desperate to save H&D! IAF took their pants off by striking deep into Pak while PAF couldn’t do anything. Therefore this desperate attempt to divert from their failure and to learn more about Indian tech.

F-16 uses AN/ALQ-173(V) Jammers on F-16 and C-130
Must be a Body Blow to PAF pysche to know their best jammers dont work against any IAF assets

it might be a msg to US to come clean with the count
Phalcon is an Israeli radar developed with American assistance/inputs (the reason why they denied clearance to export it to China) and here's it's been used highly effectively by the IAF to showcase the downing of an American built jet.
The "Western" eggspurts will truly have fun tying themselves into knots while explaining away this one.
