As per what I saw on social media, the Advocate for Travancore Devaswom Board (custodian of Sabari Mala temple) had even stated that Hinduism is a archiaic/outdated (പ്രാകൃതമായ ) religion which is retaining many bad practises of abrahamic religion . Again me too do not have much hopes on a verdict favourable to the temple, as to me look the bench has already made up its mind.
Arima wrote:not able to open twitter in office. what exactly is case with Padmanabhaswamy temple?
The gist of the case is that Kerala Govt. is trying to take over the management of the Padmanabha Swamy temple at Thiruvananthapuram Kerala. A few years back it was stated that the temple has around three vaults of which one (the B Vault) is never opened for it contained treasures of unaccounted (as of yet) value. Now GoKL's intention is not to help the God or the temple, but to get this vault opened and loot the treasures. Lord Padmanabha (an avatar of Vishnu) was the patron God of the Travancore Royal Family who ruled the Travancore Kingdom (today's South Kerala). One of the kings actually made a decree that it was Lord Padmanabha who was the ruler of the kingdom, but he would take the title of Padmanabha Dasa and officiate in the ruling of the kingdom on behalf of the God.

So what is happening is that Communists who now are GoKL are trying to usurp any big Hindu temple in Kerala, destroy the religious identity but also retain the temples to have the money associated with it.

It is time we correct the injustice done by John Munro in 1812 by taking over the Temples on behalf of the Travancore kingdom.

This 'taken over' administration rights were vested with the DBs when the kingdom acceded with Indian Union, with the condition that the DB will protect the customs and rituals. This covenant now stands broken by the DB. A new system where the devotees decide matters must be put in place.

One more attempt. I never heard devotees visiting temple twice in the same year. Opps. Sorry. These are not devotees.

Thanks for clarifying. people have belief that opening vault will bring destruction, even during Tsunami when Kanyakumari and Kollam was ravaged, Trivandrum was untouched and people attributed this to Padmanabha swamy.

on the other side, the vaults which was opened, does ASI or renowned historian have access to it? the old coins if any might bring new outlook to history.

Activist Rehana Fathima Who Attempted To Enter Sabarimala, Jailed In Cheque Fraud Case

Rehana Fathima, the ‘activist’ known for being a vocal proponent of implementing the Supreme Court’s judgment on allowing women’s entry into the Sabarimala Temple was jailed and had to pay a fine of Rs 2.1 lakh in a cheque fraud case, reports The Week.

The activist, reportedly appeared before the Alappuzha CJM court on 4 February to serve a sentence and pay the fine. A financier had filed a case against her relating to a loan she availed.

The complainant Anil Kumar had loaned Rs 2 lakh to Fathima in 2014. The cheque produced by Fathima towards the repayment of the loan reportedly bounced, prompting Kumar to complain against her.

Previously, she was arrested on 27 November by the Pathanamthitta police, under the Indian penal code (IPC) section 295(a) which pertains to deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings for trying to enter Sabarimala.

The controversial activist also faced expulsion from the Muslim community at the hands of the Kerala Muslim Jama'ath Council for "hurting sentiments of lakhs of Hindu devotees" by attempting to enter the shrine.

Her employer, BSNL had also transferred her and initiated an enquiry against her.

As I said never trust a communist. The communist GoKL has again said that this is about gender equality and the review petitions should be dismissed. This is when they say "they are with the devotees". The hearing of all the lawyers have been completed, and the court is to reconvene in the afternoon.
Came back to say: The custodians of Hindu temples in Kerala, the Devaswom Board also agrees with GoKL. So best of luck to Hindus who trust the custodians.
The devasom board is just another state organ of the commie GoKL.

This is the reiteration of the commie govt's view with no change in the govt's stand.

Only now, the GoKL is deflecting because of the massive blowback and also slyly firing the gun from the devasom board's shoulder.

By doing this, they think that they are insulating themselves for the forthcoming elections.

Kerala Floods - Aftermath and Save Sabarimala

Post by Peregrine »

Anxiety looms as Sabarimala temple reopens on Tuesday – PTI

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a sense of anxiety in and around Sabarimala as the Lord Ayyappa shrine[/b][/url] is all set to reopen on Tuesday for monthly worship, after witnessing frenzied protests during the recently concluded annual pilgrim season over the entry of young women.

The hilltop temple would be opened for five days till February 17 for the monthly pujas during the Malayalam month of Kumbam, temple authorities said Monday.

Several special rituals including 'kalabhabhishekam', 'sahasrakalasam' and 'laksharchana' would be performed during the five days at the shrine, the 'sanctum sanctorum' of which would be thrown open by chief priest Nampoothiri Tuesday evening.

Tantri (head priest) Kandararu Rajeevaru would also be present during the time of pujas, they said.

As the shrine is set to open, state police has stepped up vigil in and around Sabarimala in view of possible protests by Sangh outfits against the entry of women, belonging to the traditionally barred age group.

The police said certain restrictions had already been imposed in areas from Nalackal, the base camp to Sannidhanam (temple complex) to ensure smooth darshan for devotees.

Considering the untoward incidents caused by various organisations in areas around Sabarimala when the shrine was opened for the Thulamasa puja and the protests over the Supreme Court order allowing entry of women of all ages into the shrine, certain restrictions have been imposed in areas to ensure smooth darshan for devotees," an official release said.

Devotees and reporters would be allowed to travel from Nilackal to Pamba and Sannidhanam only after 10 am on February 12, it said.

The BJP and Sangh Parivar outfits, which had spearheaded the agitations against implementation of the September 28 Supreme Court verdict permitting women of all age groups into the shrine, are yet to reveal whether they would try to block young women.

The areas in and around the hilltop shrine had witnessed widespread violence after the CPI(M)-led LDF government decided to implement the apex court order allowing women of menstrual age into the temple.

Marking the culmination of the over two-month long stormy annual pilgrimage season, the Lord Ayyappa temple was closed on January 20.

Traditionally, women of menstruating age or in the age group of 10 to 50 years were not allowed to enter the temple as the deity, Lord Ayyappa, is believed to be in the form of "Naishtika brahmachari" (perennial celibate).

Most likely today (i.e till temple closing time on 12th Feb) may go on smoothly. One, the Devaswom Board (Muzrai Dept.) Minister had said in the legislative assembly that Supreme Court has not given any directions to state government to take up women in the other wise banned age to the temple. Secondly, the commies also did a U turn when they said only two women tried to make an entry when they had given an incorrect list of 51 people to Hon.SC.

The women activists also may cool their heels for today, because the Supreme Court is to take a call on the review petitions tomorrow. They may not want to create a ruckus today and mess up their chances tomorrow.

From Bar & Bench.
2018 landmark year for Supreme Court of India but judgments alone cannot change social attitude, DY Chandrachud J.
This statement of Mr. Justice DY Chandrachud is when a bench including him is to decide on the review petitions on the Sabari Mala temple case. This statement of his has now spreading far & wide in social media. Many advocates point out the "inherent bias" and requests Justice Chandrachud to step down from the bench (as his opinion is now pretty much decided). If the judiciary is playing to a (foreign??) gallery, then it is slowly losing its relevance.

I am very much surprised by this statement. I am not sure why he made it outside the court when he is already hearing the matter. He is not going to step down. That will amount making mistake and I do not see him admitting that he did something wrong. If he steps down it will be better for Indics.

Financial crunch: Kochi Devaswom Board is planning to sell the gold in its possession. It include the ornaments of idols. Since #Sabarimala the income of govt owned temples have gone down considerably & finding difficult to pay salaries. They may sell idols too, if necessary.

With elections approaching, GoKL is doing downhill ski on the bandobust. The 'karma samithi' folk are not letting their guard down though.

The new slogan is "Whichever be the 'mandalam' (constituency), remember the 'mandalam' (the sabarimala pilgrimage season)"

The Chef Electoral Officer f the state went more loyal than the king and forewarned that using the 'sabarimala issue' in election campaign shall not be permitted. K Surendran told him it is none of the CEO's business to tell what issues to discuss.

what surprises me the most is how most of Kerala(especially Communist supporters) has remained silent on the Communist CM of Kerala went to the US for medical treatment with his wife 2 weeks after the floods happened all by themselves. All expenses was paid by the Kerala government for his US medical trip.

After allegation against CJI, many SC judges ask for male staff at houses
Dhananjay Mahapatra | TNN | Updated: Apr 23, 2019

NEW DELHI: An unprecedented sexual harassment charge by a dismissed woman employee of the Supreme Court against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has led many SC judges to request all male staff at their residential offices.
As the CJI expressed his anguish and explained the fallout of the “motivated” complaint against him to SC judges at the customary morning meeting on Monday, many expressed solidarity with him.
The meeting lasted for close to 20 minutes and CJI Gogoi said he had received requests from judges for posting only male staff at their residential offices, to avoid a potential situation of the kind in which the CJI finds himself in.
The CJI said the request for male staff at residential offices was difficult to meet as 60% of the SC staff were women. Some judges expressed apprehension about employing female law clerks, who like their male counterparts work mostly in residential offices till late hours preparing summary of case files listed for hearing in the next few days before the judge concerned.
Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi told Supreme Court judges that this issue should be debated to devise ways and means to protect future CJIs and SC judges from what he called scurrilous attacks.
Many judges shared their concern with TOI and said the allegation that the CJI had invited the dismissed junior court assistant and her husband to his home for lunch and to his swearing-in ceremony on October 3 appeared a bizarre attempt to show her closeness to the CJI. “When the CJI had invited all the staff members with their spouses to the lunch and for the swearing-in ceremony, what is so special about this gesture being extended to her?” a judge asked.
Some judges said they were aware of women law clerks providing valuable assistance to judges in their residential offices, be it for research purposes or for making summaries of case files. “Since all the law clerks work till late evening, they have almost become part of the family and are often invited to have lunch and dinner at the residences of the judges. Would it be counterproductive in future? We are not sure now,” they said.
Our venerable worshipful avuncular Lordships of SC are not too happy to have officially appointed female clerks for legal services at the residences of the Lordships. Those pesky union employees are averse to getting frisky & moreover they tend to be unnecessarily ample (unless a Worshipful Lordship is an Keralite  ).

Therefore handpicked freshly graduated female legal Interns with amenable disposition are always preferred for grooming into adopted court nieces & more importantly any avuncular dalliances with them can be managed in a low key manner.

Anyway such needs of our venerable worshipful Lordships are real & necessitate immediate reddressal unlike the supposedly unreal needs of a Bachelor God like Lord Ayyappa & his tens of millions of sweaty half clothed Bhaktas who throng his abode in barefeeted devotion.
The principle of more equal than others equality must act incessantly in the Lordship's foreign mandated crusade on Sabarimala to teach Lord Ayyappa & his Bhaktas the modern principles of Gender Justice & equality.
However as demonstrated above such principles can be consigned to the dustbin when it comes to Lordships own circumstances.

It is illegal to publish exit polls.

Currently, LDF is claiming 18 seats with strong potential with the other two. UDF is claiming 18. BJP didn't make such announcements, since they could not bring all the netas together. They are like Pu blocks. Too many in close proximity will cause explosion onlee.

In other words, no one has a clue. This is UBCN territory onlee.

LDF ask their grass root for data: They have entrenched habit to equate people == party workers (like benefits of govt scheme etc), so they send the data that 100% voted commie.

UDF ask their grass root for data: They have entrenched habit to equate people == themselves and family, so they send the data that 100% voted UDF.

BJP ask their grass root for data: No one responds because the request went dead at the fractured leadership structure.

I asked my relative who is active in the 'parivar' (he is with VHP) why there was no campaign work for BJP candidate in our area. I am pretty good in putting my mind around complex systems, but couldn't figure anything from the mix of VHP, RSS, NSS, SNDP, BJP, BDJS and the local fiefdoms. The fact remains that no one came to our house with campaign, while the xDF guys came three four times.

Since there is no shame in being in the same category as the Mainstream Poll Pundits (full of BS), UBCN is doing an Advance Prediction for Malloostan:

LDF: 11 seats
UDF: 6 seats
BJP: 3 seats
Tough time deciding whether the 3 for BJP come out of the LDF hide or the UDF hide, but UDF more probable. I think LDF support remains more or less solid except where eroded by Suresh Gopi and Patthanamthitta, but RaGa antics and Tharoor vacillation have disgusted many ppl.

Updates will be posted May 24 early. Hawaii time of course.
