I humbly disagree (in context of KL). An ordinance means, the commies get a chance to weasel out of the whole debacle. The Central Govt. kept quiet, kept the ball always in the court of Kerala commies. Today the commies in Kerala are being humiliated, and the voting pattern against them was mainly due to the way they handled Sabari Mala temple. The central government allowed their arrogance to go a full round. A lot of women's votes (from Commie families) this time have gone out from their buckets. The commies in thier internal survey always factored a "minimum sure vote" from each place. They always assumed 100% of this to come from them, plus a lot more when they play their minority card etc. But this time around their "minimum sure vote" count itself has come down - which means even their hard core voters ditched them. The North Kerala Communist mafia which is ruling Kerala today, will have to now face tough questions.

But that said, this is also the right time for the newly formed Govt. to close out the Sabari Mala issue once and for all. Either get the Court order modifed/annulled or bring in a new legislation (which perhaps would benefit more number of temples).
Completely agree. Modi gave them a long rope and they hung themselves with it!

Agree again with the last para .. Now is the right time to get legislation done to provide an umbrella to all such temples. Let the CON/Opposition try blocking it.

Another things is The Courts will take a back seat and let the parliament act. This will allow the SC to save face without having to re-visit and over-turn its own 5 bench verdict.

those unexposed to the border tracts of WB, here is a nice video of how the cow smuggling racket operates, complete with a portable crane to swing the hapless animal over the fence

the rollback has to start with eliminating the TMC financial networks and the associated drug and meat smuggling syndicates in the border tracts.
parts of Malda have also started both growing drugs, fake notes and drug factories and things are considered too dangerous for honest cops there.

read it all::
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/i ... ktail.html

A vast, green expanse dotted with mosquito net covered plots along the serpentine road near Malda’s Golapganj stands as a forbidden land for the outsider.

Merely taking in the scenery can get you killed, as gun-toting men are watching over this territory, which is largely free of administrative shackles.

Here, locals are involved in large-scale opium poppy cultivation - an illegal trade that dominates the rural economy of notorious Kaliachak-III block, which last week saw rioting and rampage.

Narcotics money is at the heart of lawlessness in this West Bengal district bordering Bangladesh.

The police say a large portion of this drug money goes into buying sophisticated weapons smuggled through the porous Bangladesh border and running hundreds of un-recognised madrassas in the Muslim-dominated (a little over 52 per cent, on last count) district.

“It is true that the region is an epicentre of illegal drug trade and a counterfeit currency racket because of its strategic location along the international border,” West Bengal director general of police, Intelligence Branch, Raj Kanojia told Mail Today.

I expected 370 for NDA. 344 is close enough. Great day for India and Indian civilization. Its the end of Gandhi dynasty and that is truly the best thing about it. Also Brexit party likely to win EU elections in the Blighty makes the day even better.

Oh it will be more fun this weekend - both her and Sanjay Jha (popular Congress spokesperson) are regular tennis players at a club I frequent. The majority of the rest of the players are hardcore Modi fans (contrary to popular perception, SoBo has a bunch of such people!), and they *will* be giving these two a hard time!

A little more than two-thirds of votes have been counted. The BJP’s vote share is 38.25 and the Congress’ 21.56. There are 433 seats where at least 25% of the votes have been counted and where the leading candidate has a margin of at least 10,000. The BJP leads in 252 of these.

Ultimate goal of the ecosystem surrounding Modi is to decimate the liberal ecosystem which they see as corrupt, deracinated and decadent. They're right to some extent in viewing them that way but what they're going to replace them with is going to be equally ugly if not worse.
