Counting is slower than I expected. I thought by 1 or a 2pm almost 2/3rd of counting would be over and we can relax. It seems many seats not even reached half mark yet.

What a sweet coincidence. Today inkompetent brit$hit prime minister May announced her resignation, and new and rising India gave second and strong mandate to modiji. :)

so 50:50 race in WB means a lot of people flew under radar, evaded the TMCs ever present mohalla spies and moles and did 'chup chap padum phule chaap'
some local bjp leaders had advised them NOT to attend any rallies, just lie low and wait for the poll booth.

jihadidi just got sucker punched. lets see if factions unhappy with her nephew being made #1 now walk out.

Any guess in what Cabinet changes Modi will have;

I guess Piyush Goyal will be FM
Sushma will be out; Jaitley can be External Affairs
Rajnath will continue as HM
Gadkari can be Agri or Defence

Jaitley might be ill according to what some were saying here. And news channels are talking about Amit Shah as HM perhaps.

IMHO being conservative, BJP shall get at least about 285 seats and NDA+ with about 315. I base this on 95% conversion of current leads.

There's one difference between 2014 and 2019, Shri Parrikar is not with us. The impact he had during his short stint, probably was India's greatest asset after NM.

SS and Jaitley might both retire on health grounds. both have had major operations and downtimes. these 24x7 jobs take their own toll.

I would prefer NS continue as defence minister and Gadkari do this infrastructure thing - its the biggest thing our nation needs over the next 30 years - massive infra buildout.

HBS should imo be inducted as a central minister. despite being a refugee from cong and not a lifelong bjp/rss he has proven himself a worthy warrior.

Parrikar sir was a future potential PM. lifelong rss and great man. his loss is a big one.

MP's greatest contribution was that he was the first guy who brought up Modi's name and did it openly for PM candidature .

Kerala was a bummer for NDA - huge victory for Cong led UDF. 19/20 seats with 9 out of 20 candidates winning with 1 lac plus margin, including RG (who won with 2.x lacs). A lot of really bad commies got humbled, is the consolation
