^^ Well the contributors are "Manveena Suri, Mukhtar Ahmad and Sugam Pokharel". Along with them are the usual suspects like Kavita Krishnan who "squarely blame" the ruling party for the violence against Muslim and "Dalits". See how the narrative has been expanded to include the typical bheem-meem narrative thats been peddled for decades now.

The issue of public perception can be solved if we follow the following:
1. creating a version of the chans, there is no point in dealing with the dull with facts and figures. You may say "in the year 3000 before the birth of the figure you name your Lord and saviour...", the opposite guy would have squatted on the road and proclaim"found your designated shtting street, bro".
This is game for the immature, wasting our gray cells to come up with data is pointless because the opponent has their mind made up, you need memes and shtposting and concentrated spamming to teach the msm their place. That is how the us msm lost relevance.
2.The counter demonisation of the west should be taken up by some sections of the media. concentrate on pissing festivals, General degeneracy, freedom of the public to get shot, and repeat it ad nauseum;it will stick with some.
once again, this is a game for the immature and should be countered thus, feeding it with intellectual debate is not only pointless, but may also prove counter productive.

Had a 1-hour chat over coffee with a local (State) Rep.. At the end she said: "This is so different from what I read in the media". But we had facts and logic, and presented it from a people pov. Explained how Aadhar (started by Other Side govt) opened the door to the Jan Dhan Yojana, and how Swacch Bharat was started with the aim of keeping girls from quitting school. And how zero-balance bank accounts became swollen with cash, now available for banks to give out loans. About ShanBano Case and how 3-Talak was banned. And told her that we expect that Uniform Civil Code is coming. How vote bank politics in UP were overthrown by people just going to the villages and asking them if they didn't want the same things as others - education for their kids, jobs, water, power etc.

Hopefully this struck a chord of sense, compared to the shrill cra* put out by the Other Side. Just the start of a Journey of 1000 miles starting with 1 step.

Continued financial sanctions preventing S400 deal with India
According to an Indian government official, only partial payments have been made by New Delhi given banking sanctions that are already in place for dealing with Russian defense entities

what kind of joke is this saaru?
The Trumpet has often reported on the deepening relationships between Russia, China and India, not only because of the threat this trend poses to the established order, but more so because of what Bible prophecy foretells about it.
The book of Revelation prophesies of an Asian conglomerate called “the kings of the east” (Revelation 16:12). Ezekiel 38 shows that this Asian bloc will be led primarily by Russia and secondarily by China. It also identifies other Asian nations that will be a part of this bloc. Verse 5 mentions “Cush” and “Phut” (Young’s Literal Translation). While some of Cush and Phut remained in Africa, the rest migrated to India. The context of verse 5 also indicates that it is mainly referring to the Indians and perhaps the Pakistanis as well.
Revelation 9:16 states that the conglomerate will form an army of 200 million men.
Think about this: The soldiers of Europe, Russia and China today are some of the same soldiers that will march from Megiddo to Jerusalem to be destroyed by Jesus Christ Himself!

That is how close we are getting to the end of this age of man! Are you ready for what is about to occur? …

These events are hurtling toward Jesus Christ’s Second Coming! How magnificent! How wonderful!

Will you believe God?

Back in 2018, when the Americans imposed financial restrictions on russian defence companies, modi and Putin still went ahead and signed the S400 deal. Media was asking questions and pointing to financial restrictions. Indian officials simply said that all implications arising out of this deal had been accounted for. We don't know what that means.

The deliveries are supposed to begin from Oct 2020. If payments are an issue, the deliveries will be delayed. No member has asked a question regarding this in parliament yet. The mystery will continue till 2020 end if govt does not confess the predicaments

India-russias bilateral trade stood at ~10b USD as of 2017. In contrast, the russia-china trade reached 100b USD in 2018. Very recently, Putin and xi met and agreed to switch this trade into local currency(rubal-yuan)

@arjun, the judeo-christian mind is alien to us. They usually keep it well encapsulated. It's examples like these which give us a front row seat to observe the hidden layers of the onion, possibly closer to the core. We could read the bible over and over again but will never be able to see it the way they see it.

During my trips to east ham in london I have picked pamphlets quoting bible verses saying the arrival of PBUH. And not to forget the baba vanga and nostradomas prophecies...

Mike Pompeo to push for more US access to local markets in India – Reuters

WASHINGTON: The United States is open to dialogue to resolve trade differences with India by allowing American companies more access to Indian markets, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Wednesday ahead of a visit to New Delhi later this month.

Pompeo’s remarks at the US-India business council refer to a decision by US President Donald Trump to end preferential trade treatment for India from June 5 over the trade barriers.

“We remain open to dialogue, and we hope that our friends in India will drop their trade barriers and trust in the competitiveness” of their own companies, Pompeo said ahead of his June 24-30 travels to India, Sri Lanka, Japan and South Korea.

“We’ll also push for the free flow of data across borders – not just to help American companies – but to protect data and ensure consumer privacy.

He added: “And speaking of privacy, we are eager to help India establish secure communications networks – including 5G networks.”

The privileges come under the General System of Preferences, or GSP, which had been allowing preferential duty-free duty-free imports of up to $5.6 billion a year into the United States from the South Asian nations. India is the biggest beneficiary of the GSP programme.

Washington has been particularly annoyed by India’s tightening of regulations that have undermined major US companies but favoured domestic entities in the past year. In particular, tighter e-commerce rules that came in earlier this year hurt Amazon.com Inc and Walmart Inc, which last year bought Indian online retailer Flipkart for $16 billion

Body of 7-year-old girl found in Arizona desert
The numbers of Indians crossing US borders has steadily risen in recent years. Last year, more than 9,000 people from India were detained at US borders nationwide -- a big increase from the prior year, when that number was about 3,100.
A decade ago, in 2009, that number was 204.

Pretty much all of these are EJ directed asylum seekers spending on average $100k. The big question is where the funds are coming from and what EJs are up to. This is pretty much going on across the Texas to California borders. All the small businesses run by desis have picked up this up tick. I know many who are in moral dilemmas on whether to help them or not with 99% operating with church people and signing off on all sorts of documents to seek asylum.

The Pentagon is battling the clock to fix serious, unreported F-35 problems

The Pentagon is battling the clock to fix serious, unreported F-35 problems

By: Valerie Insinna
June 12

WASHINGTON — Over the past several years, U.S. Defense Department leaders have gone from citing technical problems as their biggest concern for the F-35 program to bemoaning the expense of buying and sustaining the aircraft.

But the reality may be worse. According to documents exclusively obtained by Defense News, the F-35 continues to be marred by flaws and glitches that, if left unfixed, could create risks to pilot safety and call into question the fighter jet’s ability to accomplish key parts of its mission:

F-35B and F-35C pilots, compelled to observe limitations on airspeed to avoid damage to the F-35’s airframe or stealth coating. Cockpit pressure spikes that cause “excruciating” ear and sinus pain. Issues with the helmet-mounted display and night vision camera that contribute to the difficulty of landing the F-35C on an aircraft carrier.

These are some of the problems with the jet that the documents describe as category 1 deficiencies — the designation given to major flaws that impact safety or mission effectiveness.

Thirteen of the most serious flaws are described in detail, including the circumstances associated with each issue, how it impacts F-35 operations and the Defense Department’s plans to ameliorate it.

All but a couple of these problems have escaped intense scrutiny by Congress and the media. A few others have been briefly alluded to in reports by government watchdog groups.
Bad data in F-35 logistics system resulting in lost missions
Bad data in F-35 logistics system resulting in lost missions

Ever wonder what's driving down the F-35's mission capable rates? Here's one factor.
By: Valerie Insinna

But the majority of these problems have not been publicly disclosed, exposing a lack of transparency about the limitations of the Defense Department’s most expensive and high-profile weapons system.

These problems impact far more operators than the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy customer base. Eleven countries — Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Turkey and the United Kingdom — have all selected the aircraft as their future fighter of choice, and nine partner nations have contributed funds to the development of the F-35.

Taken together, these documents provide evidence that the F-35 program is still grappling with serious technical problems, even as it finds itself in a key transitional moment.

And the clock is ticking. By the end of 2019, Defense Department leaders are set to make a critical decision on whether to shut the door on the F-35’s development stage and move forward with full-rate production. During this period, the yearly production rate will skyrocket from the 91 jets manufactured by Lockheed Martin in 2018 to upward of 160 by 2023.

Generally speaking, the department’s policy calls for all deficiencies to be closed before full-rate production starts. This is meant to cut down on expensive retrofits needed to bring existing planes to standard.

The F-35 Joint Program Office appears to be making fast progress, but not all problems will be solved before the full-rate production decision, said Vice Adm. Mat Winter, the Defense Department’s F-35 program executive.

“None of them, right now, are against any of the design, any of the hardware or any of the manufacturing of the aircraft, which is what the full-rate production decision is for,” he told Defense News in an interview. “There are no discrepancies that put at risk a decision of the department to approve us to go into full-rate production.”

Nine out of 13 problems will likely either be corrected or downgraded to category 2 status before the Pentagon determines whether to start full-rate production, and two will be adjudicated in future software builds, Winter said.

However, the F-35 program office has no intention of correcting two of the problems addressed in the documents, with the department opting to accept additional risk.

The 13 deficiencies include:

The F-35’s logistics system currently has no way for foreign F-35 operators to keep their secret data from being sent to the United States.
The spare parts inventory shown by the F-35’s logistics system does not always reflect reality, causing occasional mission cancellations.
Cabin pressure spikes in the cockpit of the F-35 have been known to cause barotrauma, the word given to extreme ear and sinus pain.
In very cold conditions — defined as at or near minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit — the F-35 will erroneously report that one of its batteries have failed, sometimes prompting missions to be aborted.
Supersonic flight in excess of Mach 1.2 can cause structural damage and blistering to the stealth coating of the F-35B and F-35C.
After doing certain maneuvers, F-35B and F-35C pilots are not always able to completely control the aircraft’s pitch, roll and yaw.
If the F-35A and F-35B blows a tire upon landing, the impact could also take out both hydraulic lines and pose a loss-of-aircraft risk.
A “green glow” sometimes appears on the helmet-mounted display, washing out the imagery in the helmet and making it difficult to land the F-35C on an aircraft carrier.
On nights with little starlight, the night vision camera sometimes displays green striations that make it difficult for all variants to see the horizon or to land on ships.
The sea search mode of the F-35’s radar only illuminates a small slice of the sea’s surface.
When the F-35B vertically lands on very hot days, older engines may be unable to produce the required thrust to keep the jet airborne, resulting in a hard landing.

The Pentagon has identified four additional category 1 deficiencies since beginning operational tests in December 2018, mostly centered around weapons interfaces, Winter said.

“They are not catastrophic. If they were, they'd have to stop test. There's nothing like that,” he said. “They will be straightforward software fixes. We just need to get to them.”

The good, the bad and the ugly

Defense News shared the list of deficiencies with two senior naval aviators — one active and one recently retired — who agreed to review the document. Each offered a different perspective on the seriousness of the problems.

The recently retired aviator said some of the issues jumped off the page at him, including the cabin over-pressurization issue, given the rash of over-pressurization issues in other aircraft, including the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler and F-22 Raptor.

But perhaps the most serious for aerial combat operations is the combination of maneuvering issues when the aircraft is operating above a 20-degree angle of attack and the issue of possible structural damage and damage to the low-observable coating when using the afterburner. That coating helps provide the F-35 a stealth capability.

"The one that stood out to me was, wait a minute, you're telling me that the latest, greatest aircraft — [a] $100 million aircraft — can't perform?" the retired fighter pilot said. "It has random oscillations, pitch and yaw issues above 20A?"

However, the naval aviator currently in service said the list of deficiencies did not alarm him and that, given that the F-35 is still new to the fleet, such issues are inevitable.

“That document looks like growing pains for an aircraft that we tried to do a whole lot to all at once,” the senior aviator said. “You’re going to see that if you dig back at what Super Hornets looked like for the first few years. Go back in the archives and look at [the F-14] Tomcat — think about that with the variable sweep-wing geometry, the AUG9 radar: There was a lot of new technology incorporated into the aircraft, and there is going to be growing pains.”

David B. Larter in Washington contributed to this story.

No idea what’s the deal. Flew out of El Paso few weeks ago with the majority of flight with asylum cases with around 20% or so Indian. My guess somewhere from Haryana Punjab area. End of the day money involved was what got my interest. If one has $100k in India, then why take this route? Was money theirs to begin with? And they are also moving through the hoops pretty fast. It is almost like turn key.

US warns India of ‘serious implications’ if it picks Russian S-400 over American defense promises
The US-India defense ties will be put at risk should New Delhi purchase Russian S-400 air defense systems, a senior American diplomat warned, noting that India should think very carefully about making such strategic choices.

“At a certain point, a strategic choice has to be made about partnerships and a strategic choice about what weapons systems and platforms a country is going to adopt,” Alice Wells, US principal deputy assistant secretary for South and Central Asia, said this week at the hearings on US interests in South Asia and the budget for the fiscal year 2020.

India’s procurement of the S-400s “effectively could limit India’s ability to increase our own interoperability,” she said, explaining that Washington has “serious concerns” about the implications of the $5 billion deal signed with Russia in October on India-US defense ties.

Washington wants to capture India’s arms market, the diplomat told House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee for Asia, noting that US is now willing to sell equipment that previous administrations had refused to consider.

“Under the Trump administration, we've been very clear that we're ready to help meet India’s defense needs and we are seeking a very different kind of defense partnership building on the 'Major Defense Partner' designation that India has received from Congress,” she said.

India announces retaliatory trade tariffs against the US
15 June 2019
India has said that, from Sunday, it will impose tariffs on 28 US products, including almonds and apples.
The new duties, some as high as 70%, are in response to Washington's refusal to exempt Delhi from higher taxes on steel and aluminium imports.
Earlier this month, US President Trump also announced the US was withdrawing India's preferential trade treatment.
Tariffs of up to 120% were announced by India in June last year, but trade talks had delayed their implementation.
In an announcement on Friday, India's Ministry of Finance said the decision was in the "public interest".

Sounds ominous.
Looks like wants India to buy US arms as a storage for US use.

Global Economic Growth Is Already Slowing. The U.S. Trade War Is Making It Worse.
By Jeanna Smialek, Jim Tankersley and Jack Ewing, June 18, 2019
WASHINGTON — President Trump’s trade war is chilling business investment, confidence and trade flows across the world, a development that foreign leaders and business executives say is worsening a global economic slowdown that was already underway.
Recent softening in Europe, Australia and other parts of the world coincides with Mr. Trump’s intensified trade fight with China and other partners. Economists warn that further escalation by Mr. Trump — like tariffs on more Chinese goods or levies on foreign autos — could slow global growth to a crawl.
“With these trade tensions, the global economy, in a sense, is getting close to a crossroads,” said Ayhan Kose, the director of the World Bank’s Prospects Group. Weakness in China, driven in part by fallout from the trade war, has spread to Germany, Australia and other nations, raising supply chain costs, chilling exports and worrying political and economic leaders.
On Tuesday, Mario Draghi, the president of the European Central Bank, said the bank was prepared to inject more stimulus into the eurozone economy to combat the economic slowdown. The effects of Mr. Trump’s trade war have been particularly hard on Germany, Europe’s largest economy, which has been bracing for a decision about whether the United States will impose tariffs on auto imports. Trade anxiety has led to a decline in business sentiment and spending: Overall German industrial production contracted sharply in April, falling 1.9 percent on the month versus the 0.5 percent analysts expected.
“The risks that have been prominent throughout the past year, in particular geopolitical factors, the rising threat of protectionism and vulnerabilities in emerging markets, have not dissipated,” Mr. Draghi said in a speech on Tuesday. “The prolongation of risks has weighed on exports and in particular on manufacturing.” Mr. Trump lashed out at Mr. Draghi by name on Twitter, accusing him of trying to weaken Europe’s currency to get a leg up in global trade by making its goods cheaper to buy overseas.“ Mario Draghi just announced more stimulus could come, which immediately dropped the Euro against the Dollar, making it unfairly easier for them to compete against the USA,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter. “They have been getting away with this for years, along with China and others.”
The president’s aggressive approach to trading partners comes as developed and developing nations are already pulling back on the rapid globalization that dominated two decades of economic policymaking. Global flows of foreign direct investment fell by 13 percent last year, to their lowest level since the financial crisis, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development reported last week.

Indian-American population grew by 38% between 2010 and 2017: report
There are at least 630,000 Indians who are undocumented, a 72% increase since 2010
The population of Indian-origin people in America grew by 38% in seven years between 2010 and 2017, a South Asian advocacy group has said in its latest demographic report.
There are at least 630,000 Indians who are undocumented, a 72% increase since 2010, the South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT) said in its snapshot. The increase in illegal Indian-Americans can be attributed to Indian immigrants overstaying visas, it said. Nearly 250,000 Indians overstayed their visa in 2016 therefore becoming undocumented, it said.In general, the population of American residents tracing their roots to South Asia grew by 40%. In real terms, it increased from 3.5 million in 2010 to 5.4 million in 2017, SAALT said.
Immigrant population
The Nepali community grew by 206.6% since 2010, followed by Indian (38%), Bhutanese (38%), Pakistani (33%), Bangladeshi (26%) and Sri Lankan populations (15%). There are currently at least 4,300 active South Asian Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. As of August 2018, there are approximately 2,550 active Indian DACA recipients. Only 13% of the overall 20,000 DACA eligible Indians have applied and received DACA.
SAALT said that as far as DACA recipients from other countries are concerned, there are 1,300 from Pakistan, 470 from Bangladesh, 120 from Sri Lanka and 60 from Nepal. The immigrant population density of the country shows that undocumented Bangladeshi immigrants live in New York (19,000); Michigan (4,000); Virginia (3,000); and California (2,000).
Income inequality
The demographic snapshot is based primarily on Census 2010 and the 2017 American Community Survey.
According to the report, income inequality has been reported to be the greatest among Asian Americans. Nearly one per cent of the approximately five million South Asians in the US live in poverty.

SAALT said there has been a rise in the number of South Asians seeking asylum in the US over the last 10 years.

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained 3,013 South Asians since 2017. US Customs and Border Patrol arrested 17,119 South Asians between October 2014 and April 2018 through border and interior enforcement, it said.

According to SAALT, since 1997, more than 1.7 million dependent spouses of H-1B visa holders have received H-4 visas. In 2017, 136,000 individuals received H-4 status. Nearly 86 per cent of H-4 visa holders are from South Asian countries. In 2015, DHS granted work authorisation to certain H-4 visa holders. As of December 2017, approximately 127,000 visa holders were approved for H-4 EAD, the report said.
Poverty prevails

Nearly 472,000 or 10% of the approximately five million South Asians in the US live in poverty, the report said. Among South Asian Americans, Pakistanis (15.8%), Nepalis (23.9%), Bangladeshis (24.2%), and Bhutanese (33.3%) had the highest poverty rates, it said.

Bangladeshi and Nepali communities have the lowest median household incomes out of all Asian American groups, earning $49,800 and $43,500 respectively, it said.

Nearly 61% of non-citizen Bangladeshi American families receive public benefits for at least one of the four federal programmes including TANF, SSI, SNAP and Medicaid/CHIP, 48% of non-citizen Pakistani families and 11% of non-citizen Indian families also receive public benefits, the report said.

In the lead up to the 2020 elections, South Asians are becoming an increasingly powerful segment of the American electorate, SAALT said.

According to the Current Population Survey (CPS), 49.9% of voting-age Asian American citizens cast a ballot in 2016. The number of Asian American voters in the last decade has nearly doubled from about two million voters in 2001 to 5 million voters in 2016.

Of these, Indians account for more than 1.5 million, followed by Pakistanis (222,252) and Bangladeshi (69,825), SAALT added.
