Speculation is rife in Goa that the induction was done to ‘checkmate’ the regional allies of the BJP, including the Goa Forward Party, with the active involvement and blessings of the Church. As per my sources in Goan media, plans for the merger were reportedly initiated in a closed-door meeting held at the Archbishop’s palace in June that was attended by both Babush Monserrate and BJP MLA, Michael Lobo.
The article is so depressing to read.

Long time back, I was employed at GM when GM filed for bankruptcy. One of the most brilliant minds at GM, VP of R&D was giving a talk and he basically said why GM is in a better position to win compared to Ford (which had not declared bankruptcy). His view was by declaring bankruptcy GM got away with all the bad decisions that had accumulated over a while, they didnt have to pay the Govt bail-out money and now they had the means to restructure GM to be more nimble. Ford on that other hand was stuck holding the bail-out money they got from Govt and they had to repay it for years to come. And they simply could not restructure even if they wanted to.

Its a similar situation for Congress and BJP. BJP is now like Ford, stuck with garbage from other parties. If only the Congress was more capable, they could have used this moment to purge everyone who was well past his sell-by date and restarted new. Imagine, next Goan elections, Congress basically giving tickets to new and honest faces and condemning BJP to have taken all the garbage. Kejriwal redux in Goa. If only, Rahul was not the pappu he is.

^From the above article:
Babush Monserrate is a feared name in Goa. He has several criminal charges pending against him, including that of rape of a minor, land-grabbing, extortion, molestation and of an attack on a Panaji police station. In fact, as per the guidelines given by Supreme Court, Babush Monserrate was forced to release advertisements in newspapers before the Panaji by-poll informing the electorate that he faces criminal cases against him.

Now, the same Babush Monserrate has joined the BJP along with his wife Jennifer, who is also an MLA. And the BJP, which claims to be a cadre-based party with principles, has absolutely no scruples about accepting tainted MLAs like Monserrate with a criminal past.
Here are the good things:

1. "Secularism" has been truly buried. Joining BJP was a taboo for mainorities and that has been truly broken.
With the new additions, the BJP now has 21 MLAs with a Congress past. Out of the 21, 15 are Christian MLAs, giving rise to fears about large-scale Church interference in the politics of the state. Every Goan knows that the Church has always played a political role in Goa. In fact, just before the parliamentary elections in May 2019, a video had surfaced showing an ordained priest asking his flock to not vote for the BJP, sparking outrage among Goa’s Hindu voters.
Is the fear now that BJP will become a x-tian party in Goa! :rotfl:

The way I see it, the church is being co-opted in Goa. With the economies of Portugal and Spain waning, India may be able to gain a foothold into European politics, for example current PM of Portugal is of Indian descent.
Costa’s grandfather, Luis Afonso Maria da Costa, who was born and brought up in Goa, was a descendant of prominent Hindu families who converted to Christianity during the centuries of Portuguese rule.
2. There is always a space for grey where in the evil can be turned against other evil. Think of Monserrat as a knife turned to keep other knives in check.

Politics is dirty. Just like everybody does their business in the morning, so think of this as doing that business. We cannot go into it with the expectation of holier-than-thou and expecting somebody else to clean our end of that business and cleaning it up so that we can then use it as a platform to cook a cuisine.

Post edit: We forget that even though Indic forces won the lok sabha battle, the RS battle and the war for the soul of India still needs to be fought and won.

The rome lot had foolishly burned their bridges with Modi way back in 2014 after the church attack nonsense and they were the ones who shouted the loudest publicly from their pulpits all over India not to vote for Modi in 2019.

This deviously engineered split in the congi party shows how they have become desperate to open channels to the top and this has been done by the faltering BIF because FCRA and 2019 verdict has shattered them and they see Modi and the BJP as an existential threat to project joshua.

look at the babri issue where the muslims have now despairingly begun pushing for an out of court settlement via a compromise formula where they are going to ask for something very big for the muslims to "let go" the claim, whereas when it all began, they were arrogantly insisting solely on a court verdict.

All the congi/commie suppressed evidence that was excavated from the site has gone against them and they could not prevent the media from exposing it. Their earlier supporters from the fake and lying archeology brigade like thapar and habib have fled the scene, their grip over the courts has completely loosened but the courts are playing along so that the huge compromise compensation is hammered out first because in a court settlement there can be no huge compensation of any sort in a democratic country especially with such a strong govt in place.

It has now become vital for the govt to gain full and sole control over the RS without gadhaars like niteeshwa and a few other jokers having a say or even the ability to queer the pitch.

They will not ask openly for allowing FCRA and Joshua project to stop but some changes/loopholes may be demanded in their interests.

The RTE will also go and an overwhelmingly large percentage of the church "owned" land, thanks to the britshits, is on 99 year lease, most of which has expired so they need to protect that first as indeed the BJP needs to get it back or lease out for 30 years at commercial rates depending on the location.

BJP may well remove the illegally introduced word "secular" from the constitution, a hit job done by the commies who got IG to do it during the emergency. Did they shove in the word socialist too at the same time.

The commies did the same "secular" thing in nepal too allowing the converters to invade nepal which constitutionally was a Hindu kingdom.

RTE and their iron grip over education and the revenue from the land holdings bring huge unaccounted funds for the padres and a lot of it is used internally to maintain lifestyles as well as for conversion. capitation fees is a very huge undeclared source of funds for the padres.

Do not be fooled by the "vow of poverty" gambit. the nuns and padres ride around in expensive SUVs these days.

When did secularism ever a reason to vote for BJP. People voted for BJP inspite of secularism. Secularism was a stick to beat BJP with by Congress and liberals. Both of whom have lost credibility. The church getting involved implies that Hindutva and everything BJP stood for will be diluted in Goa. Will the church backed Goan BJP ministers ever support Ayodhya like how Parrikar stood by.

Goal should be to buy off some of these missionary dalals who will start campaigning against Xnity because of all the nun rapes etc. and start converting their flock back to Hindusim. If EJs could buy them, can't Hindus buy these dalals?

Hon. SC gave 24 hrs to BSY to prove majority.

Hon. SC gave 5 days to Karnataka Speaker to decide resignations.

Is SC treating different parties differently?

No.

As the Simpsons would say: It's the differences, of which there are none, that make the sameness exceptional.

22 crimes that prove that the Dalit-Muslim unity is a carefully crafted narrative
https://www.opindia.com/2019/07/dalit-m ... narrative/
Politicians from the so-called secular establishment have been making a concerted attempt to create a ‘Dalit-Muslim unity’ narrative. The mainstream media, its propaganda wing, has been aiding their efforts by furthering a favourable narrative. However, as the results of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections have amply demonstrated, such efforts are destined to fail.

In this article, we document the ‘community crimes‘ committed by Muslims against Dalits in recent years that make the much fantasized ‘Dalit-Muslim vote-bank’ nonviable.

1. Muslims attack Hindu family, forced to sell the house, Begusarai
2. Dalit murdered for not converting after marrying Muslim neighbour
3. Love Jihad, Meerut: Dalit woman gang-raped after refusing to convert
4. Muslims attack Dalit Wedding Procession, Madhya Pradesh
5. Muslims attack Dalits for protesting against the molestation of a Dalit girl by Rehmat Ali
6. Dalit-Muslim clashes, Agra
7. Dalit-Muslim clashes after casteist slurs were hurled at Dalits, Uttar Pradesh
8. Dalit-Muslim clashes after Muslims molest Dalit women, Uttar Pradesh
9. Dalit man lynched to death for an affair with a Muslim girl, Rajasthan
10. Dalit-Muslim clashes after Muslims oppose Dalit funeral procession
11. Communal violence between Dalits and Muslims, Uttar Pradesh
12. Dalit family set on fire in Katihar, Abdul Rehman and wife arrested
13. Asif, Rafiq and Rihan shoot three Dalit men over argument, Bijnor
14. Communal tension in Meerut after shop owner beats up Dalit boy for demanding pending payment for cleaning his shop
15. Muslim mob attacks Dalits inside a temple for playing bhajans on loudspeaker, Uttar Pradesh
16. Tension in locality after some locals try to rename Gautam Nagar as Islam Nagar, Uttar Pradesh
17. Body of Dalit youth beaten to death recovered near a mosque, Uttar Pradesh
18. Dalit family brutally beaten up for refusing to convert to Islam, Haryana
19. Shahnawaj caught red-handed for raping 9-year old Dalit girl, Uttar Pradesh
20. A minor Dalit girl gang raped, filmed, threatened, Sabur, Umama Farid, Danish and Maj arrested
21. Muslim men attempt to rape Dalit women and a minor, attack them with axes and firearms, Uttar Pradesh
22. Dalit woman molested by Muslim youth, Agra

Muslim barbers in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, refuse haircuts to Dalits
https://www.opindia.com/2019/07/muslim- ... to-dalits/
“Dalits never used to visit barber shops here. But now they want to get haircuts here. The barbers were clueless when cops took them to the police station. There they came to know that Dalits have complained against them. I am 45 years old and in my lifetime no Dalit ever took a haircut in our shops,” he said.
Another local resident, Ali Ahmed said, “This is Muslim-majority village with 95% Muslim population. Today they [Dalits] are demanding entry in saloons, tomorrow they will start booking marriage halls. There are some people who want to create chaos here. The village has been peaceful for decades. This matter is being raised with ulterior motives.”

‘Chacha Nehru Madarsa’ run by former VP Hamid Ansari’s wife to also have a ‘temple’ inside
https://www.opindia.com/2019/07/chacha- ... le-inside/
Salma Ansari told that she got her school affiliated as a madarsa because it cost her much cheaper compared to the cost of affiliation from other boards. She said that people had warned her that people would be hesitant to associate with her school if she got it affiliated it as a madarsa. However, the biggest donors of her madarsa are Hindus and the six biggest rolling trophies of her school are also funded by Hindus.

107 MLAs, majority from TMC, to join BJP 'verysoon': MukulRoy - PTI

KOLKATA: Senior BJP leader Mukul Roy on Saturday claimed that nearly 107 MLAs, a majority of them from the ruling TMC in West Bengal, are in touch with the saffron party and are likely to join it "very soon".

Several Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders, both at the state and district levels, have lost confidence in the Mamata Banerjee-led party and are fed up with the way it is functioning, he told a group of reporters here.

"Nearly 107 MLAs are in touch with us. Majority of them are from the TMC. Few are from the Congress and the CPM. They are willing to join the saffron camp very soon, " Roy said.

He, however, did not provide any further details.

Roy's comments come amid several TMC councillors returning to the party after switching to the BJP.

Since the Lok Sabha poll results, in which the BJP won 18 out of the 42 parliamentary seats in the state, six TMC MLAs and one each from the Congress and the CPM switched to the saffron party.

Roy, a former TMC leader who joined the saffron camp in 2017 following differences with Banerjee, also mocked the Trinamool Congress after it "appointed" political strategist Prashant Kishor.

"The appointment of Prashant Kishor is an ample evidence that the TMC has lost confidence in the so-called charisma of Mamata Banerjee. That is why it needs a political strategist to save its sinking ship, " he said.

Kishor recently held a series of meetings with Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee over the TMC's performance in the Lok Sabha polls and on the ways to revive it ahead of the 2021 West Bengal assembly polls.

History is repeating itself

About 2700 MPs and MLAs defected between 1967-1983.

1900 defected into the Congress Party. Congress was ruling for most of the time during this period.

Concerted campaign to shame India for electing Modi

Concerted campaign to shame India for electing Modi

THE SUNDAY GUARDIAN
July 13, 2019,

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to power with a thumping majority for his second term in office, a concerted global media-driven campaign has been launched not just against him, but also against the majority community of the country. The landslide victory of 23 May 2019 has been followed by a stream of articles in the international press about how Modi’s victory proves that India’s majority community is extremist, regressive and intolerant of the country’s minorities, about how Muslims in particular are under threat and fear for their lives, how law and order has broken down and lynching of minorities is the norm, and so on and so forth. One renowned magazine on foreign affairs has gone to the extent of claiming that by electing Joko Widodo, Indonesia—the hotbed of Wahhabi fundamentalism—has proved to be tolerant, while India, by electing Modi, has proved to be just the opposite.

Attempts are being made to box in the Indian Prime Minister with the likes of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish President best known for his overt support to Wahhabi extremists and clamping down on human rights. Even the 2019 report by United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) makes outrageous claims such as Jains and Sikhs, apart from Muslims, are in danger in the country.

The situation seems to be headed in the direction of the “perception poll” conducted by an international news agency last year, which came to the conclusion that India was the most unsafe country in the world for women—and this not based on any data, but on the “perception” of women’s rights activists. But then the problem with perception is, more often than not, it is far removed from reality. Similar is the case with the narrative being spun about “regressive Indians”. Such atrocious claims show a complete misreading of the situation, a lack of understanding—often borne out of laziness—and respect for Indian realities, a search for false equivalences and in certain cases, a deliberate obfuscation and misinterpretation of facts.

Sadly, in this attempt it is often Indians themselves, both resident and non resident, who are in the forefront, feeding this narrative under the garb of “anti establishment” voices. The truth is that their voices are often driven by hatred for the Prime Minister, who has disrupted, to a certain extent, their ecosystem, which fed off on earlier more-compliant dispensations. And it is because this section lives in its own echo-chamber, listening to each other’s voices, it failed to see the surge for PM Modi on the ground. Now that the tsunami has hit them, destroying the cleverly constructed narrative that they thought they had built over the last five years to woo away Indians from the “Modi phenomenon”, their reaction is vicious hatred not just for the man himself, but also for the men and women who voted for him.

Obviously, it may never occur to this section that there is something terribly anti-people about berating the voters for the choices they have made democratically. But then it was never about democracy, was it? It has always been about politics. And since it’s all about politics, the “political activism” has been taken to the next level—global shaming of the “boorish” members of the Indian majority community, who have shown their true colours by deviating from the path of secularism of the last 70 years.

The truth is that India is as secular as it was in the last 70 years, in terms of amity and harmony on the ground; both the majority and minority communities are as tolerant or intolerant of each other as they were earlier. If this was not the case, there would have been large-scale riots all across the country every day. In fact, the maximum number of major communal riots took place under previous dispensations and not under Narendra Modi’s watch.

The only difference between the past and the present is that Indians have realised how secularism, in practice, has degenerated into a situation where the minority is appeased often at the cost of the majority; also the majority community is no longer afraid to recognise its needs and assert its identity. However, it must also be mentioned that identity politics was one of the many reasons that the majority community voted for Modi.

In fact, a large section of Muslims also voted for him this time because of his work. The rest about India turning intolerant and minorities being under threat is all noise—where lynching and other cases are highlighted selectively according to the religion of the victims; while cases of victims belonging to a different religion are deliberately ignored. All these are criminal incidents and must be tackled with the heavy hand of law.

As for the so-called thought leaders, both Indian and western, they will increase their irrelevance if they continue to brand millions and millions of Indians as the “heart of darkness”. For, a campaign of calumny cannot stop an irresistible force whose time has come

Rising Intolerance, Hate Crimes Can "Seriously Damage" Growth: Adi Godrej
Adi Godrej, however, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for presenting a "grand vision" to build a new India and nearly double economy to a $5 trillion giant over the course of his second term in office.

He was quick to add that all is not well in the country and pointed out a slew of concerns on the social front, warning of their impact on growth as well.

"It's not all a rosy picture now. One must not lose sight of the massive impoverishness plaguing our nation which can seriously damage the pace of growth going forward and prevent us from realising our potential," Mr Godrej warned while addressing a gathering to celebrate the 150th anniversary of his alma mater St Xavier's College.

The industrialist further warned that economic growth will be impacted if "rising intolerance, social instability, hate-crimes, violence against women, moral policing, caste and religion based violence and many other sorts of intolerance that are rampant across the country," are not contained to ensure social harmony.

@BDUTT
An appalling situation in @NewsHtn promoted by @KapilSibal & his wife, where more than 200 employees have had equipment confiscated and face sackings without even a 6 month pay out. Man who acts holier than though in public has treated journalists in a hideous way

Barkha also alleged that seniors like her hadn't been paid for a year, adding that she was being threatened with defamation and ordered to "withdraw my emails" comparing Kapil Sibal to Vijay Mallya, the liquor tycoon currently in the United Kingdom.

"Am told @KapilSibal & wife wanted to use Modi as an excuse to sack staff saying Modi didnt let channel run. But to be absolutely blunt. GOI has done nothing. Husband and wife have not faced staff, went on holiday to london, while shutting shop, prompting me to call him Mallya," read one of her tweets.

Worst of all, @KapilSibal & wife have referred to female staffers as "Kutiya"or Bitch. This is a fit case for NCW @sharmarekha & we will place signed affidavits to prove our case.

@BDUTT
Lastly, it would be easy for me to be silent. @KapilSibal owes a lot of us senior staff salary for a year and has refused to pay it. We will fight that legally. But what is more critical is 200 employees whose lives depend on this. Hope @IndEditorsGuild protects this staff

The company faced troubles after May 23, the day BJP-led NDA government returned to power; the investors backed off and the current investor refuses to invest further," the source said, adding the channel was struggling to get advertisers after PM Narendra Modi's victory
The journalist, however, rubbished channel's claims that the Modi government was tightening the noose around them. "It was all hogwash and we realised it immediately," the journalist said.

Another journalist, who was laid off in the month of June, told Outlook that everything, from work environment to programming, was good, but things went haywire after the elections.

The journalist added that "rumours about the channel shutting down started doing the rounds only after the polls."

Literacy leaves its mark as fertility rate goes south.

Indian women are choosing to have fewer children — the total fertility rate (TFR) declined to an all-time low of 2.2 in 2017 after being stable at 2.3 for the four years from 2013 to 2016, according to the Sample Registration System (SRS) compiled by Registrar General of India (RGI) for 2017.

SRS is the largest demographic survey in the country mandated to provide annual estimates of fertility as well as mortality indicators at the state and national level. Among the states, Bihar reported the highest TFR (3.2), about twice that of Kerala (1.7) and Delhi (1.5), which scored the lowest.

The findings indicated that the average fertility rate went down primarily in southern states such as Tamil Nadu (1.6), Andhra Pradesh (1.6), Telangana (1.7), Kerala (1.7) and Karnataka (1.7) as well as the hill states — Jammu & Kashmir (1.6), Himachal Pradesh (1.6) and Uttarakhand (1.9). Delhi (1.5), West Bengal (1.6) Punjab (1.6) and Odisha (1.9) too remained below the national TFR in 2017.

The fertility rate was calculated using the cumulative value of the age-specific fertility rates at the end of child-bearing age. TFR indicates the average number of children expected to be born per woman during her entire reproductive span (15-49), assuming that age-specific fertility rates remain the same and there is no mortality.

Fertility rates are critical in dictating how much of a demographic advantage India will have. The number of workers entering the workforce will also determine the viability of pension plans as the population ages.

Steeper Decline in Urban Areas

The decadal TFR data indicates that the number of people opting to have children has declined gradually. The national TFR came down from 5.2 to 4.5 in the 1971-1981 period and from 3.6 to 2.2 in 1991-2017.

The decline has been steeper in urban areas than rural ones. “In urban areas, the TFR has come down from 4.1to 1.7 from 1971 to 2017 whereas the corresponding decline in rural areas has been from 5.4 to 2.4 during the same period,” the report reviewed by ET said.

One of the key reasons for the decline in fertility has been education, more precisely that of women. At the national level, 14.7% of the female population is reported illiterate.

Image

Among literate women, nearly 17.7% have education up to Class X, 12% up to Class XII and 9.8% reported an education level of graduate and above. Bihar, which recorded the highest fertility rate, had the highest percentage of illiterate women (26.8%) while Kerala recorded the lowest (0.7%).
These findings are further corroborated by fertility rates based on educational qualifications. At the national level, literate women 7/15/2019
recorded a gradual decline of TFR to 2.1 while that for women with no education for 2017 was 2.9.

Based on specific age groups in the reproductive span of 15-49, “fertility declined in the older age groups in rural areas while it increased for the corresponding age groups in urban areas in the last decade,” the findings stated.

Elaborating on age groups, the survey said, “The decline in fertility is slower in the middle age groups 20-34 for both the areas. The minimum decline of 2.6% has been noticed in the age group 30-34 at national level. Fertility, however, declines from age 30 in all the bigger states/UTs, except Jammu & Kashmir where it declines from age 35.”

Interview: Former RAW officer makes further shocking revelations about Hamid Ansari after alleging that he endangered lives of RAW officers in Iran

Interview: Former RAW officer makes further shocking revelations about Hamid Ansari after alleging that he endangered lives of RAW officers in Iran

Hamid Ansari and Ratan Sehgal colluded with each other, met our diplomats posted in Muslim countries and went about transferring us and sabotaging our operations - Former RAW officer NK Sood makes startling revelations

CHIRANJEEVI BHAT
JULY 15, 2019

Former RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) officer had recently made explosive allegations. He had alleged that former Vice President Hamid Ansari who has served as Indian Ambassador to Iran between 1990-92, endangered the lives of RAW officers in Tehran and even ended up exposing the RAW set-up in Tehran. Journalist Chiranjeevi Bhat conducted an interview with Former RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) officer NK Sood who made further revelations about his time in Iran, Hamid Ansari and the vilified scientist Nambi Narayanan.

Following are the questions and excerpts of his answers.

You have made some allegations against former Vice President Hamid Ansari. When did you first suspect that he was indulging in ‘anti-national activities’?

It is the duty of a diplomat to act on behalf of the Country. He is supposed to protect the officials working in that location and ensure their security. Think, how can Indian officers get kidnapped? How do they get imprisoned? If it has happened, where should the complaint be lodged? Whose duty is that? What do you consider Ansari who did nothing?

What was the response of Hamid Ansari when the kidnappings happened?

Let us take the first case, the kidnapping of Sandip Kapoor from the airport. Hamid Ansari did not bother for 3 days after the incident. He washed his hands writing a note to the foreign office saying Kapoor was involved in ‘anti-national activities’.

Even when the second person was kidnapped, he did nothing. He wrote a missing complaint and sat on it. Finally, I informed my friend RK Yadav who was stationed in India, who then took up the matter with Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Vajpayee informed PV Narasimha Rao, and they were released only after a call from him. I remember that scene, after putting pressure from the Indian government he himself got Mr Kapoor to the embassy at 2 AM. Why? Only because he was charged up by PVN Rao government.

Did Congress have a role in these wrong-doings?

Before I answer that, let me relate an interesting incident. Hamid Ansari was well connected not just in Iran but also in India. P Chidambaram’s favourite Secretary KC Varma was nominated as the Chief of RAW. Can you believe this? Is some random minister’s secretary becoming RAW chief? Remember RAW is a very serious and critical wing. There are prescribed eligibilities and qualifications to become its chief. It is not a cinema where some PS or PA come one fine morning and take over as its chief.

You are accusing the Former Vice President. Are you worried about the consequences?

Why should I care? I don’t want anyone’s permission to speak the truth. I have placed it to the world directly.

You could have exposed it then. Why are you doing it now?

I said this at that time as well. I had gone through the proper channels and procedures, which a serving Government officer is supposed to. No one bothered to consider it. But the truth had to be told and hence nothing wrong in doing it now.

There is nothing wrong, but there is an argument that you are doing it to get Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval.

I respect Indira Gandhi just as much too. No one ruled this country like her. Prime Minister Modi is making efforts to unite everyone. I respect him for that. How long will one keep peddling the narrative that Hamid Ansari was a great person? Does it befit someone who was Vice President for two terms to seek Sharia Law? Have you heard any Vice President who joins hands with an organization like PFI and say that he is ashamed to be an Indian? This is the reason why I wanted to expose his true face and I am trying to do it now.

You know how the ecosystem works. If you say you are exposing him for these reasons, there are several people who might say your reasons are ‘communal’ or religion-based.

Let them say what they want to say. I would have forgiven Ansari, but when he turned into a habitual offender, I had to show the world his real face. I will definitely expose this person, who enjoyed everything at Nation’s cost and after being fed well, only to come back to my country and utter nonsense like “I am ashamed to be called an Indian”. I don’t care. I will answer anything that I have to face.

Many say that Hamid Ansari has ‘anti-Hindu’ sentiments. Do you agree?

I don’t know about that. Once he even targeted Mohammed, an Indian, who was working in Iran. He was security personnel in Iran. He made up a story against him and sent him back with a note that he shouldn’t be given foreign postings. But wherever Hamid Ansari worked, he has harmed Indians and Indian Muslims too. Don’t know about his anti-Hindu ‘leanings’. But it is clear and evident now that his loyalty is elsewhere. I don’t wish to say that explicitly.

Who else is with Hamid Ansari?

Ratan Sehgal. There is yet another interesting fact. You must have heard of Nambi Narayanan. He was accused of espionage and the Supreme Court had found the allegations against him false. He was proven innocent. But no one knew who fixed him up in that case. It was the handiwork of Ratan Sehgal to deliberately fix the Scientist and accuse him of espionage, done just to spoil India’s image in international level. The fact is that Ratan was caught spying against India for CIA when he was in Intelligence Bureau and is now happily settled in the USA. He is very close to Hamid Ansari and used to even scare us. He used to give instructions to us.

What is the opinion of India amongst Iranians?

Iranians really admire Indians. Especially they are fond of Hindus. They still wear the same kind of attires that we wear, practice Indian dance forms in their homes. There have been no instances of attacks on Indian officers either before Ansari’s tenure or after he left. Ever since Modi became the Prime Minister, they share a brotherly relationship.

Has Hamid Ansari ever conspired against you?

We all knew the kind of person he was. We were fed up of his ‘don’t-care attitude’ when officers went missing. Many officers’ wives including mine sought appointments to meet him in his office and sat in protest in front of his office. They were not allowed to meet him for a long time.

A couple of officers’ wives went inside and found him casually reading the newspaper. They sought justice and he casually dismissed them saying “I will look into it.” Subsequently, he issued a notice to all officers saying their wives misbehaved with him. Then I went up to him and said, though my wife came, she never met you. Tell me what, where, and how did she do anything that you have issued a notice for. In response, Ansari just stayed silent. Every moment of his tenure there was torture for every officer.

How can you say that he set out to finish RAW in the Gulf region?

Hamid Ansari and Ratan Sehgal colluded with each other, met our diplomats posted in Muslim countries and went about transferring us and sabotaging our operations. The result was similar to whatever happens when you transfer top investigating officers in the Police department. Even when Iranians resorted to kidnapping, torture, injecting drugs to extract the truth, he never took any steps. What does that indicate?

How were the Indian Politicians, Official and Diplomats following Ansari’s orders?

Hamid Ansari was an expert in playing with emotions. Whenever Ansari visited India, he used to bring special gifts, dry fruits from Iran to offer it to staff and officers in the Prime Minister’s office. It is natural for the recipients of these gifts to develop a good opinion. Also, since he was not in front of them all the time, nobody would know the cruel face of him. It was assumed he was a nice person. He used to use and misuse this to achieve his goals.

Nothing to celebrate. Need to look at demographic wise TFR. That will be worrisome.

Again we have to stop this BS and contribute whatever we can.

Articulate what we want and if it is legally possible.

I think they are doing whatever they think are a priority and how to do it in a legal way. We can add our constructive contributions and if possible send it to them.

The proposed amendment to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act-2008 aims to provide the probe agency with powers to investigate scheduled offences such as human trafficking; circulation of fake currency; manufacture and sale of prohibited arms; and cyber-terrorism. It also allows for the creation of special courts for adjudicating such crimes.

The bill also seeks to allow the NIA jurisdiction over scheduled offences committed outside India, subject to international treaties and the domestic laws of other countries. A special court in New Delhi will preside over such cases.

Amit Shah sought the support of all the members of the house regardless of political affiliation during the discussion that preceded voting on the bill, stating that a division in the house would send out a wrong message and boost the morale of terrorists.

However, Congress parliamentarian Manish Tewari said that providing the NIA with sweeping powers on a par with any officer across the country would not be desirable at a time when probe agencies were being "misused by the centre for political vendetta". He also claimed that an amendment should not be made when the constitutional validity of the original NIA Act was being challenged in various courts.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, on the other hand, said it was meaningless to extend the NIA's jurisdiction over foreign countries when the government lacks the "diplomatic clout" to do so. "We should not attempt to be like America and Israel. They are not democracies in the ideal sense," he added.

Who wants their backing for Ayodhya? That is a misnomer.

However LS cleared the following Bill:

And given the CONgoon opposition to it, one needs numbers in RS to pass the above bill. Given that this bill did lit a fire under Ass-a-dud-din, it is important that it goes through RS quickly.

Modi will *not* do lot of things. But I can say at least for now, Modi is not KhanMarketGang or suffering from Statesmantitis.

Actually we here suffer from statement-itis. We wake up and put out a statement!

BTW, BRF is *NOT* ahead of curve. It does not even know where the actual curve is and currently it looks at its own tail and thinks that is the curve and since it is on its behind, we think BRF is ahead!

Classic example:

1. Nobody knew that NIA bill will be introduced

2. Nobody here has drawn out the salients of this bill

And here is a news article which talks about NIA bill https://www.businesstoday.in/current/ec ... 64609.html
Here are the key changes in the NIA (Amendment) Bill, 2019.

Scheduled Offences: The schedule to the Act specifies a list of offences which are to be investigated and prosecuted by the agency. These include offences under Acts such as the Atomic Energy Act, 1962, and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967. The Bill will allow the NIA to investigate additional offences: (i) human trafficking, (ii) offences related to counterfeit currency or bank notes, (iii) manufacture or sale of prohibited arms, (iv) cyber-terrorism, and (v) offences under the Explosive Substances Act, 1908.

Jurisdiction of the NIA: The amendment provides for the creation of the NIA to investigate and prosecute offences specified in the schedule. The officers of the NIA have the same powers as other police officers in relation to the investigation of such offences, across India. The Bill states that in addition, officers of the NIA will have the power to investigate scheduled offences committed outside India, subject to international treaties and domestic laws of other countries. The central government may direct the NIA to investigate such cases, as if the offence has been committed in India. The Special Court in New Delhi will have jurisdiction over these cases.

Special Courts: The Bill allows the central government to constitute Special Courts for the trial of scheduled offences. The Act amends this to state that the central government may designate Sessions Courts as Special Courts for the trial of scheduled offences. The central government is required to consult the Chief Justice of the High Court under which the Sessions Court is functioning, before designating it as a Special Court. When more than one Special Court has been designated for any area, the senior-most judge will distribute cases among the courts. Further, state governments may also designate Sessions Courts as Special Courts for the trial of scheduled offences.
I will just say Jai Ho to that bill.

So a question for gurus here: If a media spreads fake news which gets circulated over whatsapp which causes riots leading to loss of life and damage to property, can that be called "cyber terrorism"?
