There is hardly anyone left in bakistan who can read and write or follows the news that has not been hit badly by this Modi bouncer. This is like "Kayamat ka din" for them. No once had imagined that India will pull this off in 1000 years.
Modi has pulled their collective chaddi down and show to the awam and world that the clown jewels are missing. He has done it in such a way that there is no way to spin it. There cannot be a bigger loss of "H&D" than on their "core" national issue. There is no way to get back the "H&D" than to make India rollback its decision on A.370/35A. How are they going to do that? There is simply no way for bakistan to force India on this.
Then there is the implication of not getting this rolled back. There were 2 glues that kept the country together. The Kashmir issue and the BakMil. This is a worst loss of face for the BakMil after 1971 if they are unable to recover the initiative on Kashmir. Once both glues are weakened the country is likely to unravel on its own. This must be apparent to its elites.
This presents an existential crisis for the BakMil and the country. We must expect them to make a push to change the new status quo.

what Dimran's and hasan nisar's outburst really means ?
ans - they already knew that their economy was rolled over and done with. Beyond point of no return. Their only play was kashmir and that was the only area where they foresaw some success. Now that excuse is also snatched away.

Probably a retaliation for Taliban leader Akhundzada's brother dispatched in a mosque bombing in PakistanA suicide bomb attack at a wedding in Kabul on Saturday killed 63 people and wounded 182, an Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman said.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. It said a Pakistani fighter detonated an explosive vest amid a large gathering of Shia Muslims, reported the SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors terrorist group activities.

Idiot Ghani did a Gujral and eviscerated Afghanistan's activities inside Pakistan, which was painstakingly built. Remember that Haqqani network's fund raiser was dispatched from a naan shop in Pindi. Afghan intelligence was raking up real successes when Ghani did a Gujral and smoked the peace pipe with Pakistan. The brother of the leader of the Afghan Taliban was among at least four people killed in a bomb blast at a mosque in Pakistan on Friday, two Taliban sources told Reuters, an attack that could affect efforts to end the Afghan war.

We may not have a good network in Afghanistan but we do have some good intel from inside Bakistan. Hopefully, Indian will pitch in with Intel if the Afghans are willing to work on our targets too.

Coupta summarizes the establishment view of the West (sans those with deep agendas either side) and general neutral intelligentia. At present if India were to make precipitious action on PoK, it may not enjoy the same international support it enjoys now. The popular case for that is not yet build in the international media. We need to have periodic protests in PoK where residents protest for wanting to join India and get maximum media mileage for it. Very easy to do if it is also in the interest of uncle Sam who controls global media like a well fed pet. Even otherwise, it may be doable but will be a Herculean task.Guddu wrote:I was liking Gupta's analyses..until he said that India will probably finalize the border...Pak gets POK, we get the current Kashmir.

For selecting him as the PM of Pakistan, Immy the charsi has paid back bajwa by giving him an extension of 3 years as army chief.
Now look out for fresh round of prime area land acquisition by Pakjabi Army as they will be allocating hundreds of acres each to the next in line Lt Generals/Major Generals/Brigadiers whose career prospects got affected due to the extension.

Terroristan - May 1, 2019
Hindu antecedent of Muslim Jinnah. His grandfather was Lohana-Thakkar, said to be Raghuvanshi descendant of Lord Ram - RK Misra - MAY 20, 2018
Nearly 70 years after his death, Muhammed Ali Jinnah’s portraits continue to adorn places like Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Bombay High Court and Sabarmati Ashram in India. On the other hand, the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry building’s foundation stone states that it was laid by Mahatma Gandhi in 1934.
Recently, BJP MP Satish Gautam sought to remove a Jinnah portrait from AMU. It was ironic because, instead of vilifying Jinnah, the Modi government should have actually decorated the Quaid-e-Azam, posthumously, with a Bharat Ratna because, it was Jinnah who created a Hindu-majority Bharat from the rarefied, nebulous India, while pushing the Islamists to a corner of the subcontinent and that was why the Deoband School opposed Jinnah!
Had India remained undivided, its Muslim population would now have been around 600 million, vis-à-vis the Hindus’ 1,000 million. Would the Hindus have lived peacefully with this large ‘minority’? Or, had India been balkanized, as Winston Churchill and others had predicted, such an India would have been the largest Muslim nation in the world!
This is what journalist-author Virendra Pandit’s 2017 book, Return of the Infidel, argues. He claims that, for Jinnah, a non-practicing Muslim, the Pakistan project was more of getting even with his caste rival Gandhi, rather than any fulfilment of the Muslims’ aspirations. An understanding of the dynamics of Indian caste system helps us unravel the mystique of Partition, he says.
Interestingly, both their families hailed from neighbouring districts in the Saurashtra region in Gujarat: Gandhi (Porbandar) and Jinnah (from Moti Paneli village in Upleta taluka, Rajkot district).
The book provides interesting insights into the key figures’ persona and politics of the time that reflects in the present and projects into the future. He surmises that Gandhi virtually “manipulated” Jinnah into demanding Pakistan, and take the failed Partition of Bengal (1905) to its logical conclusion of the Partition of India (1947) through well-calibrated and subtle stratagem. And an ‘innocent’ Jinnah followed this Gandhian script.
Gandhi hailed from the Modh Vania/Bania caste whereas Jinnah, despite his grandfather’s conversion to Islam, inherited his Lohana-Thakkar caste’s obstinate habits. Both these rival castes were seen as great achievers.
The lawyers of his only daughter Dina Wadia, 88, laid claim to the Jinnah House property in Mumbai in 2008 on the basis of Hindu inheritance laws. The Father of Pakistan himself had, in his will, divided his assets in accordance with the Hindu laws
Jinnah was the eldest among seven siblings. None of them settled in Pakistan after 1947. Like his dream project of Pakistan, he was himself ‘half quail, half partridge’, a personality split to the core. So much so that the lawyers of his only daughter Dina Wadia, 88, laid claim to the Jinnah House property in Mumbai in 2008 on the basis of Hindu inheritance laws. The Father of Pakistan himself had, in his will, divided his assets in accordance with the Hindu laws.
“For three generations, the Jinnah family struggled to find its Islamic identity after being ex-communicated from their Hindu caste, Lohana-Thakkars, of the Saurashtra region. This caste was believed to have had a Raghuvanshi descent, from the family tree of Lord Rama, and some thought they were Bhatia Rajputs. Like some other drifted Hindus who had found themselves on an Islamic island, many of the Thakkars, too, continued to use both their Islamic and Hindu names and maintain traditions in alternate generations to retain their roots in both the old and the new worlds.”
Jinnah’s grandfather was a faithful Hindu, Premjibhai Meghji Thakkar. In the early 19th century, Premji, who joined a fishing business, was forced to convert to Islam after his ex-communication by the Hindu orthodoxy. His family members opposed this conversion and tried to get him re-converted. The priests, however, refused to re-induct them into the Hindu-fold, forcing Premjibhai to stay a nominal Muslim. His son Poonjabhai was nicknamed Jhiniabhai due to his wiry physique. They all remained nominal Muslims throughout life. Jinnah derived his surname and the wiry physical frame from his father, Jhinia. Thinly-built Gujaratis continue to be nicknamed Jhinia even now.
Interestingly, Premjibhai had not converted to the mainstream Sunni or Shia beliefs. He had embraced, instead, the heretic Khoja-Ismailia sub-sect for two reasons: one, this helped him expand business as the rich followers of the Aga Khan, the head of the sub-cult, assisted him financially; and two, this taught a lesson to his Hindu detractors who had him ex-communicated for ‘violating’ Vaishnavite pure vegetarianism. Even after conversion, Premjibhai continued to worship the family deity Shrinathji, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, and Thakorji, besides the Tulsi tree. Outside, he would, however, go to the mosque. Premjibhai had joined the Khoja sub-sect, thanks to Adamji Khoja, his friend, philosopher and guide who had brought him into the fish trade and then into the Aga Khan fold.
Premjibhai’s three sons — Gangji, Nathhu and Poonja (Jhinia) — found it difficult to marry in their caste because of this reason and had to marry in similarly converted families. They also moved out of their conservative village. Jhinia settled down in Karachi.
Jinnah’s father’s full name was Jhinia alias Poonjabhai Premjibhai Thakkar. True to the traditions in freshly converted families who wanted to hide their religion, Jhinia had named his eldest boy ‘Mamad’ instead of Muhammed. Jinnah’s full name was Mamadbhai Jhiniabhai Thakkar, or M J Thakkar. When Jinnah was studying at the Christian Missionary Society High School on Lawrence Road, Karachi, his future rival MK Gandhi was also a student in a Christian school, Alfred High School, Rajkot.
When, in January 1893, Mamad went to England, he tried new names: he first sought to be known as ‘Mohammedali Jhiniabhai of Karachi’, then as ‘Muhammed Z. Thakkar”’, by changing Jhinia into Zina, and, finally ‘Muhammed Ali Jinnah’ or M A Jinnah.
Cheers

Trump rubs it in: Relationship with Pakistan improved after aid cut.
President Donald Trump has said that America's ties with Pakistan have improved after he cut $1.3 billion in security assistance to Islamabad for not doing enough to rein in terror groups operating in the country. President Trump announced last year that the $1.3 billion aid to Pakistan would remain suspended till the country did not act against militant safe heavens inside its territory.
In his first tweet of the year last year, Trump said US had "foolishly" given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years, and got
"nothing but lies and deceit" in return. In September, the Trump administration cancelled $300 million in military aid to Islamabad for not doing enough against terror groups active on its soil.
"I cut back $1.3 billion a year to Pakistan. When I cut it back, I have a better relationship with - as you know, we have a great relationship. Prime Minister came in," Trump told reporters at Bedminster in New Jersey on Sunday. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the US last month. Trump hosted Imran Khan for a meeting at the White House.
"We have a great relationship with Pakistan now. We had a really good meeting," Trump said, referring to his meeting with Khan.
"So, what happened: I cut back $1.3 billion. We have a better relationship now," he said, arguing that foreign aid has little relevance to a relationship with a country.

Aisam Qureshi takes a swipe at India’s ‘lame excuses’ on Davis Cup tie
https://indianexpress.com/article/sport ... e-5915835/
“Our sports and our people have had to suffer for the last decade or so when ITF had banned Davis Cup matches to be hosted by Pakistan,” Qureshi told Pakistani newspaper The Nation. “Now when the ITF security team has visited Pakistan and has shown satisfaction with the arrangements made by Pakistan government and the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has assured that Indian delegation will get red box security, why are they making lame excuses?”
“If the Indian team doesn’t want to come to play in Pakistan, the ITF must simply apply its rules. The world has to realise the sacrifices people of Pakistan, armed forces of Pakistan and sportsmen of Pakistan have to make for war, which was always imposed on us. We are a sports-loving and highly peaceful nation and want to play sports and don’t believe in bringing politics into sports and expect the same from others… I haven’t contacted (Rohan) Bopanna and other Indian tennis friends yet, but if I have to talk to them, for the sake of tennis and country, I am ready to play my role. But I once again remind ITF and India that Pakistan should not be punished for others’ deeds .”

This discussion comes up a lot among friends, especially over some drinks and I always maintain that Allah was meherbaan and caused partition. Yes, we lost a lot of land and a big part of our heritage with Indus sites etc etc but it was for the best long term for the Indic civilization. Imagine 40% crazy beards running around the united country, demanding Shariah, wanting appeasement in areas they are in minority, subjugating Hindus and others in areas they are in majority, it would have been a nightmare with riots and civil war and balkanization. The only thing I blame the leaders is for not completing the job and making India an officially Hindu country (but a tolerant one for everyone in keeping with Dharmic norms).DharmaB wrote:Indians owe Jinnah a lot then. What else could explain a panicked press conference called at midnight by noted gasbag Qureshi, to talk about the call between Trump and Modi and putting out tall claims on (what they are making it sound like) Imran's lecture to Trump
Terroristan - May 1, 2019
Pak inciting violence with extreme rhetoric:
HIGHLIGHTS
- PM Modi told US President Donald Trump in a 30-minute phone call on Monday that “extreme rhetoric and incitement to anti-India violence by certain leaders in the region was not conducive to peace"
- PM Modi highlighted the importance of creating an environment free of terror and eschewing cross-border terrorism without exception
- Pakistan, which sees Kashmir as its 'jugular vein' and Afghanistan as its 'strategic depth' against India, is perceived as spoiler in both places
NEW DELHI/WASHINGTON: Pakistani PM Imran Khan’s “extreme rhetoric” and incitement of anti-India violence is not conducive to peace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told US President Donald Trump in their first interaction after the nullification of Article 370 and bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir into two UTs.
“In the context of the regional situation, the PM stated that extreme rhetoric and incitement to anti-India violence by certain leaders in the File photo of PM Modi and Donald Trump (R) region was not conducive to peace,” an Indian statement said, in a clear reference to Khan describing the Modi government as “fascist” and “supremacist” while also raising questions on the Indian nuclear arsenal.
Pakistani President Arif Alvi has also called for a jihad against India. Modi pointed to Pakistan leaders’ intemperate comments in response to Trump’s request to bring down temperatures.
“He (Modi) highlighted the importance of creating an environment free from terror and violence and eschewing cross-border terrorism without exception, ” the MEA readout said.
While Pakistan has sought to leverage Trump’s desire for a deal with Taliban and an exit from Afghanistan to demand that India resume dialogue on J&K, India has declared that there would be no dialogue with Islamabad until it stopped supporting terrorism and cross-border violence.
The Modi-Trump conversation follows the US President’s recent talk with Khan during which he stressed that Islamabad should settle its issues with India bilaterally. Trump’s conversation with Khan was a significant revision of his comments after a July 22 meeting with the Pakistani PM in Washington where he offered to mediate and even claimed Modi had sought as much.
The White House had not commented on the phone call with Modi at the time of writing, and Trump did not mention it in his Twitter feed where he railed, as usual, about domestic issues. The conversation came even as US negotiators neared an agreement with Taliban which is intended to pave the way for a US exit from Afghanistan. This was the first conversation between Modi and Trump since the Osaka G20 meeting.
The development came even as it was revealed that the suicide bomber who attacked a Shia- Hazara wedding in Kabul on Saturday and killed 63 people was a man named Abu Asim Al-Pakistani. While Islamic State took credit for the bombing, it appeared to have got it done with a hireling from one of Pakistan’s sectarian outfits.
Pakistan’s ambassador to US Asad Majeed Khan warned last week that Islamabad would be compelled to move troops from its western border with Afghanistan to its eastern front with India because of ongoing tensions over Kashmir in an effort to draw US intervention. Washington is not inclined to meddle in the matter, except insofar as its affects its draw-down from Afghanistan.
The Pakistani envoy’s ploy drew a sharp rebuke from his Afghan counterpart in Washington, who said linking the current situation in Kashmir with the ongoing peace efforts in Afghanistan was “reckless, unwarranted and irresponsible”. Asserting that Kashmir was “a bilateral issue” between India and Pakistan, Afghan ambassador Roya Rahmani said her country believed Pakistan’s motive and insistence to tie Afghanistan to the Kashmir issue was a deliberate attempt to prolong the violence on Afghan soil.
Trump has not brought up mediation after July 22 and the US supported India in the UN Security Council to push back a Chinese attempt to put India on the mat on J&K. Modi and Trump’s 30-minute conversation, the MEA statement said, was “marked by the warmth and cordiality which characterises relations between the two leaders”.
Modi prodded Trump over trade talks between commerce minister Piyush Goyal and USTR Robert Lighthizer. Goyal is expected to travel to the US in the coming days to resolve a festering trade dispute.
Interestingly, Modi referred to the 100th anniversary of Afghanistan’s freedom on Monday, indicating that the two leaders spoke at length about the ongoing peace process. “The prime minister, ” the MEA said, “reiterated India’s longstanding and unwavering commitment to work for united, secure, democratic and truly independent Afghanistan.
Cheers
