Drugs awarded to Peshawar cops for good performance
https://thecurrent.pk/drugs-awarded-to- ... rformance/
The higher police officials in Peshawar have been alleged to have distributed drugs among the police constables as a gift for good performance. According to a recent newspaper clipping, the Peshawar police constables performed quite well over the past 6 months and managed to recover heavy amount of drugs from various places. So, in order to appreciate the raid team involved in recovering those drugs, the higher police officials distributed around “1-kilo drugs” (packets) to each of the raid team constables.

However, CCPO (Capital City Police Officer) Karim Khan has directed SSP Coordination Sarfaraz Ali Shah to perform an inquiry on the matter and ordered a severe punishment for all those involved. Speaking on the matter SSP said, “we have visited all the areas specified in the news and have tried to gather evidence from people and police constables”, adding that we have not found any solid proof as of yet and the news seems fake.

While talking on the morning show “Geo Pakistan” SSP Shah has requested the newspaper which published the story to provide any evidence (if they have any) on the matter and has asked them to help the authorities. “In case we found the news story to be fake or propaganda against the police, we will take strict action against the newspaper involved”, Shah added.

Human Rights Watch: Another Unexplained Death in Pakistan Police Custody
https://www.hrw.org/news/2019/09/02/ano ... ce-custody
While robbing a cash machine in Faisalabad, Pakistan, last week, Salahuddin Ayubi cheekily stuck his tongue out at the surveillance camera. His act got him a lot of media attention – and got him arrested on August 30.

Two days later, Ayubi was dead. His family says that he was killed in custody.

In a leaked video of Ayubi in police custody in Rahim Yar Khan district, Punjab province, he initially appears fine. But since his death police say that Ayubi had been behaving like a “mad man” when he suddenly fell unconscious, and was dead by the time he was taken to a hospital. Ayubi’s family said he had a mental health condition and had his address tattooed on his arms so that the family could be informed in case of an emergency. The police never contacted them. On September 2, Ayubi’s father filed a criminal case against three police officials alleging that his son was tortured to death.

Ayubi’s death is the latest example of the widespread problem of custodial deaths in Punjab province. While the police typically blame deaths in custody on suicide, illness, or accident, victims’ family members who come forward frequently allege that the deaths were the result of torture or other ill-treatment. Human Rights Watch research has found that those from marginalized groups are particularly at risk of police abuse.

Doctor shot dead in Karachi in suspected sectarian attack
https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2019/0 ... n-karachi/
KARACHI: A doctor belonging to the Shia community was gunned down in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Friday in an apparent sectarian attack.

As per details, Dr Haider Askari, 58, was shot by at least two people who were on a bike. The incident happened at KDA Market, Block- 3, near Disco Bakery. The identity of the attackers is yet to be determined by the police. Police told reporters that Haider was attacked when he was returning home after completion of his shift at a government hospital in Korangi. According to the initial investigation, the deceased sustained a single bullet on his left shoulder but he could not survive.

The officer investigating the case said that sectarian killing can’t be ruled out as a possible motive of murder because the month of Muharram is about to start. “However, he might have been killed for another reason like robbery or personal enmity,” he said. Gulshan SP Shahnawaz Chachar said that the attackers asked Dr Askari to pull over his car but suspecting foul play, the doctor stepped on the accelerator in an attempt to escape. Casing from a 30-bore pistol was found from the crime scene, he added.

These could have been titled and written with more thought such as "Game theory application of war scenarios and strategies to break up pakistan" and "Strategy to capture Xinjiang along with Pakistan occupied Kashmir" would have proven more popular and useful in India.
To talk about it in that specific way as in the quoted tweet is a symptom of something in my experience.

UAE had told Pakistan IHK not Muslim Ummah issue
ISLAMABAD: UAE Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan had said that Pakistan and India should not make the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) an issue of the Muslim Ummah as it was a dispute between the two countries.
Geo News anchorperson of ‘Capital Talk’ on Wednesday said that some officials of the federal government informed that UAE minister for foreign affairs is visiting Pakistan apparently to express solidarity with Pakistan on the IHK issue but his interaction with Pakistani leadership previously suggested that he had conveyed that Kashmir issue should not be made an issue of the Muslim Ummah rather, according to him, it is a bilateral issue and should be resolved through talks between Pakistan and India.
Hamid Mir said that Pakistan leadership must convey to the world in general and the Muslim countries in particular that Nerendra Modi’s atrocities are not limited to the IHK only rather he wants to unleash reign of terror across India to forcibly convert the Muslims into Hindus. In this context, Kashmir issue is not a dispute between India and Pakistan but it is an issue of the whole Muslim world.

Pakistan moves over 2,000 troops close to LoC, Indian Army watching closely: Sources
By Asian News International
New Delhi: Amid tensions over the Kashmir issue, Pakistan has moved almost a brigade-size force in the Bagh and Kotli sector close to the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
The troops who have been moved are from a peace location and for now have been stationed around 30 kilometres from the Line of Control, Indian Army sources said here. "At present, they have not been deployed in offensive posturing. However, the Indian Army is closely watching their movements," the sources informed.
The sources further said that the movement of the Pakistan Army troops has come at a time when it has already activated its terrorist infrastructure and the terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) have started recruiting locals and Afghans in a big way. It added that the troops moved by the Pakistan Army are close to a brigade-size and their numbers would be more than 2000.
The Pakistan Army has moved troops closer to the LoC at a time when Islamabad has been trying to fuel terrorism in the Valley. It has also been attempting to draw international attention and intervention by terming the prevailing situation between the two countries as very tense. Since the abrogation of Article 370 which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan deployed more than 100 SSG commandos along the LoC to push terrorists and incite violence in the state.

After the customary India bashing to establish himself as a true momin, to be exempted from assassination by the military, the tanzeems, the random anne jaane walla, said true momin is able to make his point:

Force of habit has made Pakistan regard every Indian setback as an advantage. Such ‘successes’ are Pyrrhic in nature. Foreign policy expects stronger foundations. Recent pronouncements by the Pakistan government, while dramatic in their declarations, need to be tempered with tact. The use of the words ‘Nazism’ and ‘Holocaust’ arouse memories that lie too deep for tears among nations which suffered both. The darker connotations of Nazism were accentuated particularly after the defeat of Hitler’s Germany. The word ‘Holocaust’ predates World War II. It has roots in the mass murder of Protestants in 16th century Netherlands, and in atrocities committed by Turks in the 1920s. However, time has not diluted their potency. They should be uncorked carefully.

In the past few weeks, there has been a curious inversion of postures in New Delhi and in Islamabad. Indian defence minister Rajnath Singh hinted broadly (the breadth of a nuclear warhead) that India will reconsider its nuclear strike option. It is prepared to strike first. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan won’t initiate a military conflict. The common man is finding it hard to distinguish between peaceable hawks and aggressive doves.

This sort of shadow-boxing was a feature of US-Soviet relations until the collapse of the Soviet Union under the weight of its military pretensions. US president Ronald Reagan upped the ante by elevating the debate into the cosmos with his Star Wars doctrine. The Soviet Union had managed to launch the first dog, the first man and then the first woman into space. It could not afford to combat the United States in outer space.

India has the same advantage that the US did. Its economy has the resources and the resilience to arm itself without having to examine the bill. For India, Pakistan is an irritant, a nuisance, but not a competitor. Its true rival — economically, diplomatically, strategically — is a militarised China. In the Eurasian zone, three countries are determined to retrieve territory history forced them to forfeit — Russia, its satellite states; China, the island of Formosa; and India, the Indus plateau from which it derived its name.

Interestingly, of late, PM Modi has changed tack in his recent speeches. In them, he addresses the people of Pakistan. He exhorts them to question their leaders and to demand explanations from them why India is progressing so rapidly and Pakistan is palpably not. Insidiously, he is inserting a stiletto between the Pakistani public and its leadership. He is attempting to extract a dividend from the dissatisfaction Pakistanis are feeling (and expressing) at the failure of the PTI government to govern.

Anyone with sense knows that India and Pakistan are not equals. They also admit the truth that India cannot annex Pakistan. It does not need over 200 million more ungovernable Muslims. That is why in 1971 it preferred the creation of Bangladesh rather than have a reunified Bengal. And it cannot incinerate Pakistan in a nuclear conflict without singeing itself. Pakistan cannot compete indefinitely with India’s plans to improve its defence superiority. At best, Pakistan can use, as it has done in the past, operational expertise to correct the technical imbalance.

India open to talk terror with Pakistan provided it is in 'civilised' manner : Jaishankar – PTI

HIGHLIGHTS

- External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Friday said that India is open to talk about the issue of terrorism with Pakistan provided that it is done in a "civilised" manner "without having the gun pointed at my head”.

- Talking about the trade issues with the US, Jaishanker said that he was not disturbed by the problems.

SINGAPORE: External affairs minister S Jaishankar on Friday said that India is open to talk about the issue of terrorism with Pakistan provided that it is done in a "civilised" manner "without having the gun pointed at my head."

Jaishankar, who is in Singapore on a visit from September 6 to 10, made the comments while speaking at the Mint Asia Leadership Summit here attended by around 400 delegates.

His comments came amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after New Delhi revoked the special status to Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.

He said that if there are issues that need to be talked about, it is between India and Pakistan.

But it must be done without having the gun pointed at my head,” he said, referring to the cross-border terrorism emanating from Pakistan.

Highlighting Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khans' iacknowledgement of the presence of 40 different militant groups in the country, Jaishankar said, “we are open to talking about it provided that you talk like two civilised neighbours."

“But you don't say I talk to you, but I reserve the right to come at night and blow your cities,” he added.

Talking about the trade issues with the US, Jaishankar said that he was not disturbed by the problems.

Though trade is an important part of the bilateral relationship between India and the US, a row over market access and tariffs has escalated in recent months, leading to fears of a protracted dispute.

US President Donald Trump in June ended the preferential trade status granted to India, asserting that New Delhi has failed to assure America of "equitable and reasonable" access to its markets.

“Reality is that if you trade with a country, you are going to have trade issues. Questions is how to manage these issues. I really think most of them (issues) are resolvable,” he said.

“Frankly I am quite confident that we will be able work our way through these,” he said.

Talking about growth globally globally, Jaishankar said that if India has to grow beyond South Asia, the relationship with Southeast Asia, member countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations and Singapore is going to be fundamental to that.

“As we get bigger and our interest widens, the importance of this region rises,” he said.

“If India is to grow beyond the confines of South Asia, to get global, the relationship with Southeast Asia, ASEAN and Singapore are going to be fundamental to that,” said Jaishankar.

Elaborating on the Indo-Pacific, he said it would be the natural progression of India's interest, influence and engagement in the region.

“You cannot be among the top five economies of the world and say my world is really between the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. Naturally, as you progress, the world will expand beyond,” he said.

Stressing that India's progress is not only in one direction, he said that the country's interests in Africa have seen remarkable achievements.

“We are opening 18 new embassies in Africa. There are African countries where India is the largest investor,” Jaishankar said, underlining India's progress globally.

“We do see in many ways Africa a region where we need to pay much more attention and all our new embassies we are opening are in the continent,” he said.

Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat, who also attended the event, said that India, Singapore and Thailand will jointly patrol the Andaman seas to Strengthen maritime security. He, however, did not elaborate.

He said that the trilateral navy exercises will be held later this month.

Keat also called for more air connectivity between India and Singapore.

He also underlined India's importance in the global order, assuring that Singapore would be very keen to partner India in this together with its fellow member countries in the ASEAN.

He also noted the presence of over 8,000 Indian companies in Singapore, the largest contingent from a single country.

“I am glad they find Singapore a good place for operation in Southeast Asia and the world," he said.

During his visit, Jaishankar will co-chair the 6th Meeting of Joint Ministerial Committee (JMC) Counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan.

The two sides will review the whole range of bilateral issues and provide the direction for further deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

He will also call on Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and other senior ministers during his visit.

The External affairs minister will also participate in the Business and Innovation event being organised by the High Commission of India, Singapore on September 9- 10.

Call for US, Pakistan to maintain cautious relationship - Anwar Iqbal

WASHINGTON: Their common interests demand that the United States and Pakistan maintain a cautious relationship with modest expectations, argues former US secretary of defence James Mattis.

In his autobiography Call Sign Chaos, President Trump’s first defence chief notes that Pakistan’s complicated relations with India force Islamabad to seek a friendly government in Kabul.

Mr Mattis, a much accomplished general from the Marines Corps, was inducted into the Trump cabinet with great expectations but he resigned in January 2019 after differences with the president over Afghanistan and other issues.

The general, who has served in Afghanistan and commanded the US Central Command, opposes a rapid US withdrawal from Afghanistan. His book hit the stands on Tuesday afternoon.

“Ultimately, it’s in our common interest that we maintain a cautious, mindful relationship, with modest expectations of collaboration,” Mr Mattis wrote while reviewing US relations with Pakistan.

“We could manage our problems with Pakistan, but our divisions were too deep, and trust too shallow, to resolve them. And that’s the state of our relationship to this day.”

On Tuesday, Gen Mattis also participated in a group discussion at the US Council on Foreign Relations, Washington, where the moderator asked him why he described Pakistan as “the most dangerous country” in his book.

“The radicalisation of their society. By the way that’s also the view of members of the Pakistan military,” he said. “They realise what they have got going on there. They recognise it.” He said the relationship between the US and Pakistan was “very twisted”.

“When you take the radicalisation of a society and you add to it the fastest growing nuclear arsenal, I think in the world, you see why … we need to focus right now on arms control and non-proliferation efforts,” he said. “This is a much worse problem I think than anyone writing about today.”

At several places in the book, Gen Mattis highlighted old ties between the US and Pakistani militaries, but expressed very low opinion about the country’s political leadership.

“Pakistan was a country born with no affection for itself, and there was an active self-destructive streak in its political culture,” he wrote. “They don’t have leaders who care about their future.”

Gen Mattis claimed that Pakistan “views all geopolitics through the prism of its hostility toward India” and that has also shaped its policy on Afghanistan as Islamabad “wanted a friendly government in Kabul that was resistant to Indian influence”.

The former defence chief also noted that the Pakistan military had lost more their troops fighting terrorists on their side of the border than the Nato coalition had lost in Afghanistan.

“Yet, they thought they could or at least manipulate the terrorists. But, once planted, terrorism was growing in ways that no one — not even Pakistan’s secret service could predict or control,” he noted.

Something is fishy with the Dengue story
Why is the IAEA the nodal agency investigating such outbreaks of TseTse fly and Dengue mosquitoes?

There is research that shows that mosquitoes get more malignant when exposed to radioactivity, such as near N plant construction sites.
Those Chinese engineers will now be sterile for the rest of their lives, as will be the Pakistanis who also got bit by these radioactive mosquitos

Interestingly, the Pakistani Government is suppressing any news of Pakistanis acquiring the disease. We only know that the Chinese engineers got the disease, but miraculously no Pakistani got the disease? How is that possible?

Is it possible that these poor folks have all been exposed to dangerous radiation. The chinese will take care of its sterile citizens, but the Pakis will get no medical care and will die anonymously now.

it was unusual as to see how syrians died in NoKo. This info led to the Dier-e-Zor plant right in the desert.

Symptoms of radiation sickness may include:
Weakness, fatigue, fainting, confusion.
Bleeding from the nose, mouth, gums, and rectum.
Bruising, skin burns, open sores on the skin, sloughing of skin.
Dehydration.
Diarrhea, bloody stool.
Fever.
Hair loss.
Inflammation of exposed areas (redness, tenderness, swelling, bleeding)

Symptoms of Dengue Fever
Sudden, high fever.
Severe headaches.
Pain behind the eyes.
Severe joint and muscle pain.
Fatigue.
Nausea.
Vomiting.

Skin rash, which appears two to five days after the onset of fever.

Looks like a radiation accident...early symptoms. If you see a lot of bald chinese moving around that should confirm it.

There are so many possibilities here
1. Radiation accident at the N plant site.
2. The Mard-e-momeen polk flied lice supplier, put extra spices and some poison into the polk, so cheenis got sick.

My question is why only the Chinese got sick per the report hain ji?
No purelander got sick hain ji?

Macchar also looks for impure polk eating blood before it bites and spreads Dengue or what? Macchar does not bite any mard-e-momeen hain ji?

in a way it was as severe icing is thought to have blocked the pitot tubes

Tariq Ali is quoted as:
Using the planned invasion as a pretext, the Congress sent Nehru’s deputy, Sardar Patel, to pressure the Maharaja into acceding to India, while Mountbatten ordered Indian Army units to prepare for an emergency airlift to Srinagar
Neither Sardar Patel met the Maharaja nor per sworn statements of Chiefs of Staff, India (R.N.N.Lockhart, Army, T.W. Elmhirst, Air Force) according to whom the morning of October 25th was the first direction they received on the subject of preparing to send troops to Kashmir.

Terroristan - May 1, 2019

Such Gup

Nothing. Zilch. Zero

Sources say The Great Khan insists that “something must be done about Kashmir”. Now, if that isn’t a laughable statement, we don’t know what is! What precisely can the state of Pakistan do about Kashmir? Nothing. Zilch. Zero.

It was in the same spirit that someone came up with the brilliant idea of sending some leading lights of the opposition (those who find favour with the powerful) to foreign capitals to lobby on Kashmir. The Khan would have none of it. “If they’re not listening to us, why should they listen to them?” he is rumoured to have declared. End of matter.

it was unusual as to see how syrians died in NoKo. This info led to the Dier-e-Zor plant right in the desert.
Menon-sji,

This is off tropic and I am not trying to correct you, Just more info. The Israelis had tapped the internet cables going out of Syria and within that traffic had found images being mailed back by the North Korean engineers of their travels in Syria including images of the incomplete reactor. These images are online if you search for them carefully. Many of the images are 'family images' in front of the said site!

Pak denies use of airspace to Prez Kovind for foreign visit
September 07, 2019
Pakistan has refused India's request to allow President Ram Nath Kovind to use its airspace for his flight to Iceland, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Saturday.
Kovind will embark on a visit to Iceland, Switzerland and Slovenia from Monday during which he is expected to brief the top leadership in those countries on India's 'national concerns', especially in view of terror incidents this year, including the Pulwama attack.
The decision was approved by Prime Minister Imran Khan in view of the tense situation in Kashmir, the minister told state broadcaster PTV.

Cross post from Border Watch thread

Major ops underway in Rawalkot, engineered demonstrations carried out in PoK villages. Combing ops by RR in local villages since 1700 hrs.

Media denied entry, (Na)Pak army and police have detained several demonstrators and cut off communication. Safe to assume there is a lot of counter-intel work being done in PoK.

^What does this mean? Why would Pakphauj attack their own engineered demonstrations? Are they filming fake videos for circulation as stuff that happened in the valley?
