Pssst: Always wanted to ask but dared not: what are all those ppl at Mishun Control writing on their pads with pens, looking at the cricket screens? I thought the gizmo is autonomous?

Doesn't look like picture of the Director. They all have headphones as well. Do they get orders like COMPUTE CUBE ROOT OF 1,732437! First correct answer gets a lozenge!

Who decided on this ridiculous hour? This is like Mumbai airport timings: 2AM. Why not a sensible hour like 1PM? Tough to find ppl awake in daytime? It's not like there is a Curfew at the landing site, hain?

^^^This time because alignment to Indian Deep Space Communications Network. During other timings ISRO would have to rely on videshi networks.

PIB channel sound went kaput.
OK, back to naaarmal. Hey, LOOK at those leather chairs, not 2 mention the nice chairs for the techies. Proud to see these.

Evil 6th coujin once went to the viewing center in SoKo, and envied the luxury of that place. Clearly ISRO ppl must have designed that, by the looks of this place. Far cry from the dingy labs and bicycle-carrier satellite transport system of the 1960s, hain?

Each console has assigned subsystem monitoring task. Headphones and mic is to announce if any deviation noticed and to call out all normal when things go as planned. Pad is used to jot down time of an event

Best Situation Maaneater is to watch the faces of the ppl watching the screens.
12:50 to go. Situation HAPPY.
3 minutes of deceleration burn over.

10 min to go, Speed under 500m/s

Powered descent to start in 3 min.
ISRO chief looks cool as a cucumber. Classic case of
My Jaab is to be like a duck.
Calm and unruffled on the surface
Paddling like crazy underneath.
What a guy!

Other faces are tense, some obviously praying.
