I appreciate your concern.

My concern is about the Pakistanis and Bangladeshis.

Meantime if Pappu and those of his Ilk are known to have Dual Citizenship then why can't their Indian Passports be withdrawn?

Thanks in Advance.

The dual citizenship bill will be highly damaging for India after PoK is taken back. All the rabid dual citizens of Britain and PoK will also become citizens of India. If the bill is not passed, then their naPak citizenship will end and only British citizenship will be valid. Britain deserves them.

JPP slams beheading of Pakistani prisoner in S. Arabia
According to the JPP, there are close to 11,000 Pakistanis languishing in foreign jails, with over 7,000 of them in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia alone has 3,400 Pakistani prisoners and has executed at least 26 of them this year, including a woman.

Families of prisoners on death row are often not notified prior to their execution, depriving family members and loved ones of the chance of a final goodbye. The bodies of those executed are also not returned — which is a gross violation of all legal and moral protocols, and Islamic injunctions.

JPP executive director Sarah Belal said: “The Kingdom is committing a grave human rights violation by continuing to sentence and behead Pakistani citizens with blatant disregard for due process. Despite being a close ally, KSA executes more Pakistanis than any other nationality. Not only has it not returned the promised 2,107 prisoners to Pakistan but it has also started to execute them. The Pakistani government must pursue and expedite the release of these people and ensure their safe return.”

RSS: Why only Muslims, not other minorities, feel unsafe? | India News - Times of India

HIGHLIGHTS

- RSS joint general secretary Krishna Gopal questioned the perception that Muslims were afraid in India.

- “Muslims are more than 16 crore, then why are they afraid? Why and from whom? It should be discussed," Gopal said.

- “How many Parsis are there in India... hardly 50,000, Jains 45 lakh and about 80 lakh Buddhists are there. Jews are only 5,000. They are not afraid of anyone,” he said.

NEW DELHI: Why is there a perception that Muslims are “afraid” in India despite numbering over 16 crore, RSS joint general secretary Krishna Gopal asked while saying that other minorities, far less in numbers, felt safe in the country.

Gopal questioned the perception that Muslims were afraid in India, suggesting it was difficult to understand this when Parsis, Buddhists and Jains did not share such a perception.

Gopal said India never compromised on the principles of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (entire world is one family) and ‘sarve bhavantu sukhinah’ (all should be happy) and wanted that even Pakistan should prosper.

The RSS leader was speaking at a conference on Mughal prince ‘Dara Shikoh — Icon of Composite Culture’ in the national capital on Wednesday.

Describing Dara Shikoh as the face of inclusiveness, Gopal said he was a true Muslim and had translated the Upanishads into Persian. He said inclusiveness and unity were always integral and an essential part of Indian culture.

Referring to an article written by Islamic scholar Raamish Siddiqui that Muslims should not be afraid as they were more than 16 crore in the country, Gopal said "it is a big question" as to why such a mindset exists.

“How many Parsis are there in India... hardly 50,000, Jains 45 lakh and about 80 lakh Buddhists are there. Jews are only 5,000. They are not afraid of anyone, ” he said.

“Muslims are more than 16 crore, then why are they afraid? Why and from whom? It should be discussed, " Gopal said and suggested that it could be due to a "divisive mindset" propagated by Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.

Union minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, who also addressed the conference, said Aurangzeb was a "symbol of terrorism" while his brother Dara Shikoh was the “identity of nationalism”.

“Violence and oppression committed by an anarchist and cruel ruler like Aurangzeb was glorified by a group of Islamic fanatics, Leftist and so-called secular historians," Naqvi said, adding that Aurangzeb's philosophy was to destroy human values and India's 'Sanatan Sanskriti'.

It will for sure pit them against the Saudi camp too, but after seeing the non existent support for kashmir from Saudis, I think they may be willing to sacrifice the relationship.

China has promised a $200B investment in Iran oil industry and almost immediately, Iran has raised questions on India's support for american sanctions on them. They are also talking about taking away chabhar.
The $200B investment claims are dubious. Even if it materializes, it will simply mean a move away from CPEC as Iran is better equipped in every possible way than Pakistan for a project like that. Pakistan will just be 'begaane shaadi mein abdulla deewana' in that grouping.

Also, decades of investment in Wahabism and anti-Shia terrorism and fanaticism has ensured that any alliance with Iran will cause insurmountable internal fissures in Pakistan.

With this grouping, the only thing that will happen is that Iran might benefit, China and Pakistan will get screwed overall though none as badly as the Pakis.
Even if China invests the much claimed 200billion usd, they are going to invest in infrastructure and for developing that even the labor and material will come from China. And for doing that China will extract crude from Iran. And in this process Iran will gain nothing

That will be British Petroleum circa 1950s all over again. China Petroleum this time - don't Iranians have long term memory? Haven't they seen the examples after examples of China exploiting raw resources for their gains by masquerading loans/investments of providing infrastructure?
I am sure Iranians are smarter than that or on the other hand perhaps very very desperate for money. Either way as soon as situation changes, the 3-way alliance will not hold.

Pak Army raises white flag on LoC to recover bodies
September 14, 2019
Pakistan Army was forced to raise the 'white flag' to recover the body of its soldiers killed by Indian Army in a robust retaliation to the ceasefire violations (CFV) by the Pakistani side. The white flag is meant to signify surrender or seeking truce.
Sources in the Army said that on September 10-11, Indian Army troops killed Sepoy Ghulam Rasool in Hajipur sector of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). Sepoy Rasool hailed from Bahawalnagar, a province in Pakistani Punjab. Initially, Pakistani soldiers tried to recover the body by intensifying ceasefire violation. While attempting to recover a Punjabi Muslim soldier, another Pakistani Punjabi Muslim soldier was killed. Army sources said the Pakistan Army could not recover the bodies despite repeated attempts for over two days. On September 13, the Pakistan Army raised the white flag and recovered the bodies. The Indian Army respects the dead and so permitted the same, said sources.
It is pertinent to note that the Pakistan Army refused to take back the bodies of its 5-7 soldiers and terrorists killed on July 30-31 in Keran sector and it is believed that they were not from Punjab. Sources said those killed in Keran sector must have been Kashmiris or soldiers from Northern Light Infantry (NLI).

Going to ICJ on IOK not possible: Farogh Naseem - Saqib Virk

ISLAMABAD: Federal Law Minister Farogh Naseem has said the Kashmir issue cannot be taken to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) – as the government had earlier hinted – because Pakistan and India have not signed any agreement in this regard.

After India’s August, 5 illegal move to strip the Occupied Kashmir (IOK) of its special status, Prime Minister Imran Khan had hinted at taking the Kashmir issue to the ICJ.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had also announced formally during his talk with senior journalists at the Foreign Office that Pakistan will take the issue to the ICJ. However, after that there has been a complete silence on part of the government on the issue.

The Express Tribune asked Farogh Naseem as to why Pakistan has not approached the ICJ. Is Pakistan still in the process of consultations or there is any legal hindrance? Is there any way that the Kashmir issue can be solved sans interference of the United Nations (UN)?

“A single party cannot go to the ICJ directly unless both the parties agree. However, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) or the General Assembly (UNGA) can refer the issue to the ICJ. And they can refer the case to the ICJ as an issue of human rights violations,” Naseem said

The minister claimed that legally Pakistan is no way on the back foot in case of Kashmir. “The way prime minister raised the issue has made the world support us,” he said.

To a question about the legal and political options available to Pakistan, the law minister said the UN also has political courts. “The issue will be further raised in UNSC and UNGA. We hope that the amount of hard work put in by the ministries of law and foreign affairs will make it a success,” he said.

Elaborating on strengths of the case, he said the UNSC has its resolutions on Kashmir issue and India is not accepting them. India has committed many human rights violations including use of pallet guns and now Pakistan has a strong case.

“We are just saying that Kashmiris should be given right to self-determination in accordance to the UN resolutions. India has been violating human rights in Kashmir for decades.

He said India is no longer a secular country. “It is India of RSS [Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh]. India’s unconstitutional step is a test case for the Indian Supreme Court as its judgment will show how much independent Indian judiciary is.

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan told The Express Tribune that his government had decided to go to the ICJ but it was not possible until the other party agrees. “Consultations are under way on this issue in the Kashmir committee. It is a sensitive issue and we would not act in haste.”

Jamaat-e-Islami chief Senator Sirajul Haq was also asked to comment on the situation. He said the government had promised to go to the ICJ but now it is taking U-turn. “This government thinks that taking U-turns is a specialisation. We should not expect much from this government,” he added.

Trump confirms killing of Osama bin Laden's son Hamza, putting spotlight on Pakistan - Chidanand Rajghatta | TNN

HIGHLIGHTS

- Trump said Osama bin Laden’s son had been killed in a counterterrorism operation in the
“Afghanistan/Pakistan” region

- Hamza, who was believed to be around 30, was said to be Osama bin Laden’s favourite son from his third wife

- Several prominent terrorists involved in major terrorist attacks in the world have been captured or killed in Pakistan

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that Hamza bin Laden, Osama bin Laden’s son, had been killed in a counterterrorism operation in the Afghanistan/Pakistan” region, turning the terrorism spotlight again on Pakistan, where some of the world’s most prominent terrorists have been killed or captured over the past two decades.

“Hamza bin Ladin, the high-ranking al-Qa’ida member and son of Usama bin Ladin, was killed in a United States counter terrorism operation in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region. The loss of Hamza bin Ladin not only deprives al-Qa’ida of important leadership skills and the symbolic connection to his father, but undermines important operational activities of the group. Hamza bin Ladin was responsible for planning and dealing with various terrorist groups, ” the White House said in a statement from the President.

The younger bin Laden’s death, purportedly in special operation several months ago, had been reported intermittently in the last couple of weeks through intelligence leaks. It was not clear why the White House chose this moment to confirm it and why there wasn’t more precision about the location of the operation.

"Confirmation by @POTUS of Hamza bin Laden’s death but still ambiguity about where he was killed. U.S knows where. Why say ‘somewhere in Afghanistan-Pakistan region’ instead of specifying location unless purpose is to save someone from embarrassment?" asked Husain Haqqani, a former Pakistani ambassador to the United States and a trenchant critic of the Pakistani military establishment’s policy of using terror groups.

Several prominent terrorists involved in major terrorist attacks in the world have been captured or killed in Pakistan, a fertile breeding ground for terrorism and state-funded terror groups. They include Osama bin Laden (killed in Pakistan’s military cantonment Abbottabad), Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (captured in Rawalpindi), Abu Zubaidah (captured in Faisalabad), and Ramzi bin al Shibh (captured in Karachi), among others. Ayman Al Zawahiri, who recently issued a statement on the anniversary of 9/11, is also believed to be hiding in Pakistan.

The man who was once accused by his own peers of hiding Osama bin Laden in a safe-house in Pakistan, former Director General of Militiary Intelligence Brig Ijaz Shah, is currently the interior minister in the Imran Khan government.

Hamza, who was believed to be around 30, was said to be Osama bin Laden’s favorite son from his third wife, the 15th child in a brood of 30. Documents recovered during the Navy Seals raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan, indicated that he was being groomed to succeed Osama bin Laden

While the White House statement did not go into precise details of how he was eliminated, accounts that first surfaced on social media claimed Hamza was being escorted in a Pakistan Army Aviation flight from Islamabad Airport when the plane nosedived in a residential area near the Pakistani Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Reports at that time said US personnel collaborated with Afghans and brought down the plan knowing it carried Hamza bin Laden.

This is HUGE. Remember the reports when the Paki AEW airplane crashed into a Pindi residential area? There were lot of speculation, including in BRF, as to why that whole area was cordoned off and was there any high value person / asset that was lost.

This also means that the Americans have caught Paki army red handed. Not a good news for Pakistan.

Knowing Porkistan and its disregard for the value of its own citizens what are the chances that Pakistan willingly hallaled Hamza and few of its citizens to appease United States? With the Taliban talks breaking down pakistan lost what it thought was its most important leverage with Uncle Sam and to top it India has all the support from the rest of the world on Kashmir issue. So pakistan in desperation has done what it always does - give someone of high value to tide over a current situation.

Expected world to react more on Kashmir, says Imran Khan; Pakistan PM concedes defeat after international embarrassment

Conceding his defeat after failing to get 'expected' support from the international community over Kashmir issue, Imran Khan has said that India has made Kashmir a part of the country after the abrogation of Article-370

Islamabad: Conceding his defeat after failing to get "expected" support from the international community over Kashmir issue, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that India has made Kashmir a part of the country after the abrogation of Article-370.
In an exclusive interview to Russia Today that aired on Friday, Khan said: "India has annexed Kashmir, so it is no longer a disputed territory as far as India is concerned. They have made it a part of India."
"Sadly, I would have expected the world to react much more than it has," said Khan, while accusing the Indian government of violating the Simla agreement. Khan has further claimed that trade and markets have blocked and prevented the world to react over the Kashmir issue.
The Pak Prime Minister also vented his frustration by launching attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government and RSS.
Reiterating his threat of a possible nuclear war between India and Pakistan, Khan said, "The fact is what India is doing in Kashmir is going to have consequence way beyond the borders of India, way beyond the subcontinent. This is now going to become a nuclear hotspot. If it becomes the flashpoint of conflict between India and Pakistan, this will be the first time the two nuclear arm country comes face to face."
When asked whether he is planning to raise the Kashmir issue in United Nations General Assembly, Khan said he would apprise the world and countries about the condition in India.

'Kashmir now a flashpoint, has potential of turning into nuclear war'
Dawn.com, September 15, 2019
Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the international community to play their due role in resolving the issue of occupied Kashmir and warned them that the dispute — which has now become a flashpoint between India and Pakistan — has the potential of turning into a nuclear war and impacting the entire world.
In a wide-ranging interview with Al Jazeera, the prime minister said that Pakistan has limited options on the issue of occupied Kashmir.
"Absolutely, there is not much we can do except approach all international organisations that were setup after the first world war, mainly the United Nations," he said, adding that the United States, China, Russia, European countries are all being approached by Pakistan over the matter of occupied Kashmir.

Pakistan could lose conventional war with India: Imran Khan - ANI

HIGHLIGHTS

- Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again raked up the prospect of a war, including a nuclear war, with India over New Delhi's "illegal annexation" of Kashmir.

- Imran tacitly acknowledged that Pakistan could lose in a conventional war with India, and
in that case "there could be consequences"

Pakistan could lose in a conventional war with India which could then be consequential in view that the two neighbouring countries are nuclear-armed, country's Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Saturday.

In an exclusive interview to Al Jazeera, Khan said, "I am clear that when two nuclear-armed countries fight a conventional war, there is every possibility of it ending in a nuclear war. If I say Pakistan, God forbid, and in a conventional war, and we are losing, and if a 9/15/2019 Pakistan could lose conventional war with India: Imran Khan -
country is stuck between two choices, either you surrender or fight to the death for your freedom."

"I know Pakistan will fight to the death for freedom (and) when a nuclear-armed country fights to the death, there are consequences, " he added.

He said that it was in consideration to these consequences that Pakistan approached the United Nations and other international fora on the Kashmir issue.

"So that's why we have approached the United Nations, we are approaching every international forum, that they must act right now because this is a potential disaster that would go way beyond the Indian subcontinent, " said Khan.

Khan ruled out the possibility of dialogue with India in the aftermath of the country's decision to abrogate Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Islamabad has downgraded its diplomatic ties and suspended bilateral trade with India as a way to remonstrate. India has maintained that the move on Kashmir is its "internal matter" - a stance that has been supported by many countries - and asked Pakistan to review these decisions so that normal channels for diplomatic communications are preserved.

Imran feigns ignorance about persecution of Uighur Muslims in China
Islamabad, Sep 14 (IANS)
While Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has been appealing to the global Muslim community to rise up and censure India over Kashmir, he has surprisingly feigned ignorance of the largescale persecution of Uighur Muslims by close friend China.
Imran, who during his Friday 'Jalsa' held in Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, ratcheted up his appeal to the international Muslim community to join in the protest over Kashmir, told an international news agency that he doesn't "really know much about this (Uighur) problem".
Asked by Al Jazeera that since Pakistan shares a close relationship with China, has he had a chance to discuss the issue of the persecution of Uighurs with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Imran said: "No I haven't." "And frankly, we have been facing so many of our internal problems right now, that I don't really know much about this problem. And since we have been in power for one year, domestically, apart from the economy, and now with Kashmir, we have been inundated with problems. But I will say one thing for China, for us China has been the best friend."
To another question that he has faced criticism for not issuing condemnation of China's treatment of Uighurs, Imran said: "At the moment, my responsibility is the people of Pakistan, and I have 220 million Pakistanis, and they are my responsibility. And my number one effort is to help my own countrymen."
Pakistan is heavily dependent on China for building its infrastructure and other economic aid. Beijing is building the $60 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a key element of its Belt and Road Initiative that begins in Xinjiang province, the home of the Uighur Muslims.

- Pawar said BJP-led central government was spreading fake propaganda against Pakistan for political gains. People here say Pakistanis are facing injustice and are unhappy but it is not true.

- Such statements are being made only for political gains without understanding the actual situation in Pakistan," he said here.

MUMBAI: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday praised Pakistan saying that he received a very warm welcome on his visit to the neighbouring country and added that people are happy in the Islamic nation as against the common belief in India. :rotfl:

He said BJP-led central government was spreading fake propaganda against Pakistan for political gains. GHAR KA BHEDI LANKA DHAI

"People here say Pakistanis are facing injustice and are unhappy but it is not true. Such statements are being made only for political gains without understanding the actual situation in Pakistan, " he said here.

The former Union Minister said that he had visited Pakistan on several occasions where he was accorded hospitality as "Pakistanis believe that even if they can't go to India to meet their relatives, they treat an Indian as their relatives". Bunch of Freeloaders!

Tensions prevail between India and Pakistan ever since the Pulwama terror attack in February in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed. India had hit back at Pakistan with an air-strike in Balakot.

It heightened following the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, with Pakistan unsuccessfully approaching the global community to seek their support on the matter. Incidents of ceasefire violations, attempted infiltration through the borders of Jammu and Kashmir have only added to the tensions.

Frustrated with the snub from the international community over the nullification of Article 370, which India described as "internal matter", Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has even threatened India with nuclear war over the situation in Kashmir.

Why would terrorist travel in an AEW aircraft rather than an ordinary aircraft or Car?

Mob runs riot in Ghotki after Hindu teacher booked for alleged blasphemy - Sameer Mandhro

GHOTKI: Law enforcers are on alert in Sindh’s District Ghotki as reports emerge of rioting and violence by a mob after a Hindu school teacher was booked on charges of blasphemy.

The mob attacked a school – Sindh Public School – and desecrated a temple in the area over accusations of blasphemy against the school principal, who is from the Hindu community.

Reports suggest houses of Hindu families have also been attacked and the mob has blocked off roads in the area.

The rioting comes after a student accused the Hindu teacher of allegedly passing blasphemous remarks.

Blasphemy allegations: Ghotki on edge as mob demands ‘justice’

An FIR registered against the accused teacher on behalf of the student’s father includes Section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, which pertains to the use of derogatory remarks against the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Activists and journalists used Twitter to share videos and images of the rioting in Ghotki, and appealed to the Sindh government and law enforcement agencies to protect the vulnerable Hindu community.

Sukkur Additional IGP Dr Jamil Ahmed confirmed the worrying developments in a tweet, saying that police were “trying to deal with a serious situation”.

The rioters allegedly include supporters of notorious religious leader Pir Abdul Haq alias Mian Mithu, who is widely accused of involvement in forced conversion of Hindu women in Sindh.

That crash was not of an AEW aircraft, rather of a small special missions aircraft probably used for some kind of surveillance or elint. Still bears the question as to why they would transport him in that and not another plane, one possibility is that there was less chance of it being tracked due to the usual secrecy around such planes.

Pakistan Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that the country was committed to send its first astronaut to space by 2022.

China would collaborate with Pakistan in its space mission
, he said during an interview on Sunday, adding the selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020, reports The News International.

He revealed that initially, 50 individuals would be selected after which the list will be shortened to 25 in 2022.

The Minister added that out of them only one would be sent to space.

The Pakistan Air Force, he said, would play an important role in the astronaut's selection.

Focus on Kashmir

MORE than a month after India launched its ill-advised adventure in occupied Kashmir, protests regarding the dire human rights situation in the held valley refuse to die down.

On Friday, Prime Minister Imran Khan led a charged rally in Muzaffarabad to highlight the troubles across the LoC; he rightly warned the world that Indian repression in the held region would end up fuelling extremism, as people would opt to fight New Delhi’s brutality using “all means”.

Indeed, the reports trickling out of the valley indicate a pitiful situation for the residents of India-held Kashmir, as they remain under lockdown with little freedom to speak of.

It is to be hoped that Pakistan’s efforts to highlight the Kashmir question internationally are having some effect.

Read: UN chief calls for 'maximum restraint' in occupied Kashmir

UN Secretary General António Guterres says he remains “very concerned” about the situation escalating into a confrontation between India and Pakistan, while adding that the situation needs to be addressed “with full respect of human rights”.

Elsewhere, numerous American lawmakers have urged their president to mediate between Islamabad and New Delhi, and have called for India to lift the curfew in IHK.

The situation in Kashmir “has grave implications for democracy, human rights and regional stability. ...” one congresswoman has said.

Indeed, in the age of social media and breaking news, it will be very hard for India to keep a lid on the brutalities it has unleashed on the Kashmiris.

Despite India’s mantra that ‘all is well’ in the held region, the realisation is slowly growing that India’s military enforcers have unleashed a reign of terror in IHK ever since Article 370 was scrapped last month — although condemnation by world governments has been disappointingly muted.

But India can no longer pretend that Kashmir is an ‘internal’ matter; it stands badly exposed in IHK and no amount of spin can convince neutral observers that the situation in the region is normal. Indeed, Pakistan’s diplomats have of late proactively highlighted the deplorable situation in IHK in key world capitals.

However, the key question is that despite the global cries for justice in Kashmir, and calls for a negotiated settlement to the problem, will India listen?

Up till now, the right-wing BJP government in New Delhi has shown no sign of bending its rigid stance and lifting the inhumane blockade of Kashmir.

Perhaps the only way this can be achieved is if the US and other strategic and economic partners of India exert enough diplomatic pressure on New Delhi and point out repeatedly that a peaceful solution is the only option for Kashmir, and that continued obduracy risks setting the entire region alight.

While the Kashmiris are putting up a brave front in the face of Indian brutality, if this issue is not handled with care, there is a very high likelihood that the entire subcontinent may get caught in an ugly conflagration.

Islamabad refuses backdoor talks with New Delhi
By Kamran YousafPublished: September 16, 2019
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has refused to engage in backdoor diplomacy with India after some powerful countries as well as certain Muslim states sought de-escalation in the brewing tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours over Kashmir. Prime Minister Imran Khan was also requested to tone down his verbal attacks on his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in which he equated him with Adolf Hitler.
However, Pakistan has turned down the requests and made it clear that it would only engage with India through quiet or conventional diplomacy after New Delhi was persuaded to meet certain conditions, officials privy to the development told The Express Tribune.
These conditions include lifting of the curfew and other restrictions imposed in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), a day before India stripped the disputed region of its special status on August 5.
When the deputy foreign minister of Saudi Arabia and the foreign minister of UAE travelled together to Islamabad on September 3, they came with a ‘message’ on behalf of their leadership as well as some other powerful countries urging Pakistan to engage in backchannel diplomacy with India.
