Looks quite interesting NIJ Level III protection.
There are two BPJ that Army is procuring which have Level III+ protection. One by DRDO, ToTed to MKU

https://pib.gov.in/newsite/PrintRelease ... lid=171391

Another by SMPP, which even claims to have NIJ Level IV capability. The news items claim its SMPP's inhouse development.

http://smgroupindia.com/content/smpp-wi ... logy-award

Previous to that, When MP was RM, there was a emergency purchase of BPJ from TASL as well, I remember.

dont know about conf proceedings. will have to check.

Some conferences or the other are happening in Hyderabad / Bangalore / Thiruvanantha puram nowadays on regular basis.

May be International community want to attend/ attract ISRO / DRDO scientist to know more of whats happening in Indian defence / aerospace industry.

DRDO chief urges for indigenous defence production.
He said that the DRDO had come up with many technologies in the past few years and developed a complete range of indigenous radar systems.

We have made our ballistic missile defence system. We are capable of building any radar and have developed sonar (a technique that uses sound propagation to navigate,) that is fitted on ships. In fact, imported submarines are now fitted with indigenous sonar today, he said.

Reddy said India is in the league of countries such as the US, Russia and China that developed high precision missile system.

The Indian Air Force had issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for around 83 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Mk1A aircraft at an estimated cost of Rs 45,000 crore, he said adding that ten out of 83 aircrafts will be the two-seater, which will be used for training.

This is in addition to the earlier IAF order of 40, bringing the total to 123 LCA Tejas, he added.

Confirmation from that SM Group produces 120 & 125 MM sabot and hesh rounds. Also 155MM rounds.

LCH is heavier than ALH!

Pinaka is a L&T product now! L&T is now a big player in defense. If only GoI gives some ship orders!

ATAGS is BF product.

No AESA radars or sonar been sold in the open market. No Barak8 SAM either.

Yeah, better than all done by OFB, the lot which were on strike, when Pak leaders were openly threatening war.

OFB should only be given to fill up the explosives.

I think Bharat Forge is a good option for making the penetrators and even assembling the entire round.

Two private firms have stepped up to make explosives and assemble ammunition. The days of OFB blackmailing seem to be numbered.
