One of the requirements is two (or is it three) papers in internationally recognized conferences/journals. University standing matters too, of course. Maybe he thought he doesn't have a chance of getting PR through EB1. In normal cases, PR through marriage to a citizen is much faster than PR through EB1 or any other category for that matter (unless DoS steps in  )

EB1 is super hard to get. You need to give evidence of not only published papers, also also the # of times it is cited - this is a very important metric as it points to the usefulness of the work.

The abandonment of the young bibi in Eyeran to do the Love Jehad, probably rang more than a few bells. Point is that the guy comes through in the article as a total oiseule who will say anything and do anything to suit his immediate needs. U have to wonder about the quality of the university if these are the ethical standards of their faculty. Very cleverly written article: by the end one is ready to sign the deportation orders.

The stuff about Eph Bee Eye fast-processing anyone who sues, is very true. Point is that those who did not sue/ were afraid to sue ("processing" could mean rejection!), were left hanging indefinitely. Didn't realize that the real purpose of the selective expediting was to keep the CRAPP from being declared unconstitutional - and they could have been left hanging for years if they hadn't sued.

Incidentally, u may not be aware, but the former head of the SIMI (declared terrorist org in India) is also a Phaculty member (must be full Brof by now) in some northern US/ midwest univ. Lots of such terrorists in such positions. Circa 2004-2007, Eph Bee Eye decided to educate themselves on the whole university/ research bijnej.

When this guy (on advice of counsel) declined to meet with the Eph Bee Eye Agint, he cooked his own goose. His claimed "fear" was that they would ask him to snitch on other terrorists (usually by showing that they could throw the book at him), which means he knew plenty to snitch about. They are not stupid.

Ro Khanna Debunks Tulsi/Modi Controversy

Interesting comments on this video.

Natural Earth Farm there was a lot of mental gymnastics to evade questions from Jimmy. Every day I’m realizing Jimmy is truly for the true common values of America.

Really, he himself attended the Modi event-as he is saying; and maligning Tulsi who happened to be not there.

I AGREE! I felt some bobbing and weaving too. For example, on the Tulsi issue. He kept putting the "disclaimer" phrase: "...to the extent that Tulsi Gabbard does that (supports pluralism w/ re: to Hinduism/religion), that's great." He said it a couple of times and I took it to mean he doesn't believe she does/has and he was strategic in sending out that tweet; that he did it on purpose and for the reasons of attacking Tulsi. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I got.

The Dude

Jimmy totally let him off the hook! Is it true or not, that that group helped finance tulsi? Is it true or not, that tulsi helped clean up modi's image? If not, why have you not clarified that point, which you appeared to lend creedence too? Those are the pertinent questions i would like to have heard answered.

@Sara Griffin Tulsi justified the gujrat genocides that killed 2000 Muslims. She blamed the Muslims for starting it (when it was an accidental fire according to indian court itself). Tulsi should be in jail, not in a presidential race.

This is going to be shocking but I think you need to hear it.... This politician is a lying piece of shit. I know, I know! It's crazy but it's true. Imagine that.

UB ji, I am convinced this guy's case is somewhat suspicious. That's from where both of us started. I agree that the matter is complex. To show the complexity, I am presenting arguments that would have been presented by people who did not lie intentionally on their PR applications.

Anyways, we are arguing from just one case that has become public. This is my last post on this matter (for now  ).

Here’s why Trump’s poll numbers are defying the impeachment mess
A very large number of Americans don’t have high levels of trust and respect for the government, and they’re generally OK with Trump being the junkyard dog who digs it all out writes Jake Novak.
But through all of this, Trump’s approval rating is at its highest level of the year according to the Hill-HarrisX survey, and the other major polls taken since this Ukraine phone call whistleblower story emerged show few changes from the last surveys taken before the news broke.

How is this possible?

Anyone still asking that question simply hasn’t come to terms with why Donald Trump won the 2016 election in the first place. In short, Trump was elected to be the ultimate disruptor and to play that disruptive role as much as possible. “Drain the swamp” wasn’t just a campaign slogan, but a visceral feeling against establishment Washington in every way. Millions of Americans who voted for Trump and still support him chose him precisely because he is nasty, breaks the rules, and shows little respect for the political establishment at every level.

To really be mad at Trump for asking foreign leaders to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden or Hillary Clinton, the voters need to believe that Clinton and the Bidens aren’t inherently corrupt. They must also believe that just about all the rules and established groups within American government, especially the intelligence community, deserve unquestioned respect.

What might appear on the school website is that UND is already well-settled by the Bissful. Just from what I have seen ( I have not been to their wesite). IOW the ecosystem is already in place. ND and SD iirc are Centers of Fracking: there was a huge gold rush there when fracking started in earnest. So it is very similar to the Middle East except it gets a bit cooler in winter.
IMO this guy's case is not at all a-typical for the Bissful: train-burning mob memership as a teeager, then 3-talak, then love-jeejad, GC, citjenship..... always a clear sense that whole dunia was created for them alone and no laws abbly to them. "Not serious". Marriage, then dumping a 19 (or 9?) year old girl - what was her fate then? (not serious), going AWOL from military service (not serious), membership of a goon gang (not serious).... then how can the Freebiscuits consider his GC abblicashun to be serious? The rest of us are considered bigots if we take ANY of the above to be stereotypical and use those to form judgements on whether to deal with such ppl. It's always the same: the 99% giving the other 1% a bad name.

Its simple. NaMo gets along with DT. This vijit has served a good purpose. Never has the Donkeystan come out being anti-India in this manner b4. On the 370 issue Indians/ NRIs/IAs are pretty-well united that it was overdue, so their seeing the true face of the donkey this early, has some good effects.
Too many desis/ IAs are brought up on the images of John F. Kennedy strolling in the Rose Garden (or was it in India) with "Chacha Nehru". Also, Jimmy Carter was seen as a relief from Nixon-KissmyAssinger and Bill Clinton from Ronald Reagan. But since JFK, it has been all downhill except for brief interlude of Slick Willie post-May 1998.
I have not checked what party is that von Hollen paki. Shame on GOI if they did not send HIS baggage to Tajikistan via Addis ababa and Buenos Aires.

If Trump’s Rage Brings ‘Civil War,’ Where Will the Military Stand ?
A view from the inside indicates the armed forces are as divided as the rest of the country—and divided is a dangerous place for the U.S. military to find itself.
Our republic rests on the important constitutional principle of civilian control of a non-politicized military. But the constant drumbeat of right-wing conspiracy theories and hateful political rhetoric has found its way into a sizable portion of the U.S. military’s rank and file. Not too long ago, the majority of those serving in the military would have identified themselves as Reagan Republicans. But just as that brand of Republicanism has been replaced by Trumpism among civilian Republicans, so too has it seeped into the armed forces, and by these standards, even Ronald Reagan would be viewed as a socialist.
Recent polling shows that among military veterans, approval ratings for Trump are higher than among the civilian population. In my experience, the support for Donald Trump among a large segment of the U.S. military is downright cult-like.
The man with a decades-long public record of immoral and unethical behavior, who had never served in uniform or undertook any public service to his country, tweeted juvenile insults about retired four-star generals like Colin Powell, John Allen, Stanley McChrystal, Michael Hayden and Martin Dempsey. Several of these decorated, battle-hardened generals, were life-long Republicans who had devoted their lives to serving their country. Yet they believed so strongly that Trump was a national security danger they took the extraordinary step of breaking with military tradition to criticize him publicly.

In normal times, this would have dealt a severe blow to any campaign and made a serious dent in support among the military. But the attacks by the generals, and Trump’s willingness to return fire, only endeared him to the rank and file more.
It was the rank and file, not the generals, Trump was courting with his calls for military parades.
From Michael Flynn, the rogue retired general closest to him, Trump learned just how deep the military’s disdain was for Democrats—and for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama specifically. Trump learned from Flynn that there were grievances and resentments within the military establishment to be exploited. Highly intelligent active duty and retired military officers with outstanding service records (not “deplorables”) could be heard at CENTCOM repeating far-right-wing conspiracy theories like: “Hillary murdered a lot of people” and “Obama is a Kenyan Black Muslim,” “The FBI and the CIA are corrupt,” “The media is fake news.” Trump’s attacks and abuse of their former bosses, and even of a Gold Star family, didn’t seem to impact their opinion of him.

Once Trump was elected, they wholeheartedly bought into his claims that the “deep state” and the “fake news media” were now plotting a coup against him. Some would call themselves “nationalists,” not having the basic understanding of the difference between “nationalism” and “patriotism.” (The political divide also cut across racial lines. African-Americans serving in the military had a deep admiration and affection for the first black commander in chief, not shared by their white counterparts. One Army major, an Iraq War veteran, gave voice to many others in the military, telling me, “The military hates Obama.”)
The gulf between the civilian world and the military has been growing since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—wars that have touched more American families than at any time since Vietnam. Vietnam created a huge cultural divide in the U.S. that Richard Nixon successfully exploited, earning him one of the largest electoral victories in American history. But something more sinister may be afoot as we approach the 2020 election. Trump has done what Nixon ultimately could not do. He has, so far, avoided real accountability to Congress. He has successfully blurred the lines between lies and truth in the minds of the American public. He has undermined the institutions that have kept the U.S. safe since World War ll.

The extent of the visceral hatred much of the military feels for Democrats, the “deep state” and the “fake news media” is a new phenomenon. The belief that there is indeed a coup being orchestrated against President Trump is a weapon Trump has in his arsenal, depending how far down the road to authoritarianism he decides to go. But Trump would need to deeply fracture the military first, and that is something to watch for. Most members of the armed forces are honorable, patriotic Americans who would never take part in such a scheme, despite their support for Trump. But a significant portion just might.

Rony,

That article is an indicator of how the left simply doesn’t understand the US. In the very small probability that Trump is removed, then Trump himself will do nothing. His supporters are talking about an insurrection. This will manifest itself as a race war where police and law enforcement will not respond, or an untimely response when non whites are attacked.

I’ve said this many times, but the MEA in the next couple of months will have to issue a travel warning for the US.

If CNN were a human being, they would be diagnosed as obsessive-paranoid with deep hatred. Its been 3 years now and the web page is simply FULL of hate against the President of the USA. Honorary Pakis. I wonder in what form the retribution will come for their principals.... but it will come.
They are now clearly in their own make-believe world where Trump is going to resign, get impeached, etc etc. Apparently there is nothing else worth reporting in the world, esp. the US.
Any semi-competent propagandoo working for the elephants can absolutely SHRED the Donkeystanis based on a factual analysis of their performance. And I think they have much worse ones than just "semi-competent". They own the Hall of Fame for nasty political propaganda. As Mort says, though, the consequence is likely to be sharp rise in extremism - on the right because of what they "rightly" (pun intended) perceive as unfair attacks on the POTUS, and on the left because of an unbroken string of grand leaps ending in the poo. The hate is mounting...

Turkey summoned a top American diplomat Sunday after the U.S. Embassy's official Twitter account "liked" a tweet that said the people of Turkey should prepare for a political era without the leader of Turkey's national party, who is reportedly ill.

The Foreign Ministry said the U.S. charge d'affaires Jeffrey Hovenier was summoned despite an embassy statement that said its Twitter account had liked "an unrelated post in error," and apologized.

Desperate to fill teacher shortages, US schools are hiring teachers from overseas
Across the US, schools are hemorrhaging teachers while fewer college graduates enter the profession. In 2018, the US had an estimated shortage of 112,000 teachers, according to the Learning Policy Institute.
Some of those vacancies are filled by people who don't have a standard teaching certificate, he said. Others are being plugged by long-term substitutes, contracted agencies or teachers who must add an additional course to their day.
So schools like Casa Grande Union High have hired several Filipino teachers using J-1 visas. Those visas allow teachers to stay in the US for up to five years.
Alvarado is one of several Filipino teachers in their fourth year at Casa Grande teaching science -- a notoriously hard subject to fill with US teachers.. "People that have math and science degrees can make so much more money in research and in analytics and in other areas that their degree opens doors to," Thomas said.
"The average starting pay (for teachers) in Arizona is about $36,300."
While that salary may seem paltry for many Americans, Filipino teachers like Noel Que say their jobs in the US are much more lucrative, allowing them to live better.
Que and Alvarado came to the US through one of several placement agencies that connects foreign teachers with American schools in need.
It's a booming business. In some cases, Filipino teachers pay an upfront fee, and the agency sets up the online interviews, tests and paperwork.

"The whole process just took two months for us to complete everything," Alvarado said.
Over the past decade, the number of Filipino teachers coming to the US to teach on J1 visas increased from 21 to almost 800, according to the US State Department.

ICUDK Stephen Colbert, doing 'The Late Show' (previously David Letterman's show), from the Ed Sullivan Theatre (where The Beetles premiered in Amreeka). In 'TV Land', this is a show that millions watch nightly; and which gets 'segmented' onto the New York Times, etc., and The Morning News, etc. Considering the legal dimensions of what Trump+ are facing right now; they've got to get re-elected, in order to avoid jail. :rotfl:
