What about actors in regional film industry ?

I do understand the predicament of Bhai-wood actors. Money strings are controlled by Islamists or Islam-pasand stakeholders while movie goers is primarily Indic so better shut up.
Only if you are done with your career or are beyond signing 4-5 movies every year, you can afford to go pro-indic openly. Almost none of the A-Listers speaks about Indic cause except maybe KR.
That is the sad state of affairs in Bhai-wood where being a Indian can cause loss of work.
Add to that we do know that actors are discriminated against based upon their Pro-Indic leanings.
Some of the jokers are now instigating SRK, Salman, Saif etc. to speak up (But only against CAA).

Among other Media platform, we also need a studio which invests in Pro-Indic actors and gives them a chance which green Bhai-wood denies them just because they carry a hue of saffron.

The Maharashtra government has upgraded security for Aaditya Thackeray who is the newly elected MLA from Worli constituency and the son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray from Y+ to Z security .
On the other hand, MH govt has withdrawn the security cover of former Rajya Sabha MP and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Why do these public figures need Police security ?
Stay inside the house if you want to feast permanently on our Tax money.

Author-activist Arundhati Roy on Wednesday claimed that the National Population Register will serve as a database for the National Register of Citizens and asked people to oppose the former by furnishing wrong names and addresses.
...
The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved Rs 3,941.35 crore for updating the National Population Register.
A "usual resident" is defined for the purposes of NPR as a person who has resided in a local area for the past six months or more or a person who intends to reside in that area for the next six months or more.
The data for National Population Register was collected in 2010 along with the house-listing phase of Census of India 2011.
The data was updated in 2015 by conducting door-to-door survey.
Roy said that officials will visit people's homes under NPR exercise for taking their names, addresses and other details.
"They will visit your homes, take your name, phone number and ask for documents like Aadhaar and driving licences. The NPR will become database of NRC. "We need to fight against it and have a plan. When they visit your home for NPR, and ask for your name give them some different name...

This is not reply to that retard Roy per se but following her advice is disaster for any even lefty person of her ilk.

If you give wrong data and in the future they tie that data to other databases, you're sure will be caught in the vicious cycle of roaming around offices and paying bribes to get even basic things done. I don't think any one poor or middle class person fall for that as they depend on Government services a lot - wrong data means government can save money you as beneficiary is removed. If you have some property and bank balance it is worse as government can swallow your property/money. If you're caught in law enforcement/criminal cases, you can't even go for justice. Even a Sanyasi can't live off the grid unless you have a Himalaya cave.
This woman is a political/otherwise non entity in India who is backed by funds from Western Countries- nobody in India is really buying her books, wonder how many people in BBC, CNN who back her in the west are willing to mess with Social Security database, If they apply the same standard they are true liberals, else they are just a bunch of fascists against India.

Brave man! Kudos to the inspector
Police officials in Agra went undercover to find the perpetrators of violence who had taken shelter in the city after ransacking public property in neighbouring Firozabad. One police officer even disguised as a banana seller to hunt the rioters.
SHO of Mantola police station Jeetendra Kumar told media today that the police had received intelligence inputs about the presence of some people involved in Firozabad violence in Agra city. As it would have been difficult to obtain information about such people from civilians directly, it was decided to go undercover and track them down, he said. As part of the plan, sub-inspector Sunil Tomar of Mantola police station took the disguise of a vendor selling banana and roamed across the city. Intelligence reports had suggested that the perpetrators were hiding in the Mantola area in Agra.
The plan was to move around the city and locate the perpetrators. Sub Inspector Sunil Tomar shaved his moustache and arranged a fruit vendor’s cart. He loaded the cart with bananas and roamed in the Mantola area, looking for clues. Tomar said his disguise was so good that even the policemen patrolling the area could not identify him when they faced him. The SHO said that the plan worked and the rioters were arrested by the police.

CCTV footages are now emerging exposing the real culprits behind the communal violence perpetrated by Muslim mobs across the country during the anti-CAA protests. A CCTV footage from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has been released by the Uttar Pradesh police which busts the myth propagated by the Islamists and “liberal-secular” media industry of the country that the anti-CAA protests were inherently peaceful and spontaneous in nature.
The series of photos and videos released by the Uttar Pradesh police show two men firing at cops during the protests in Meerut last Friday. In one of the videos, a masked man in a blue jacket is seen walking around with a gun.

Indian polis have really taken to video and drones!
Radical Islamic organisations PFI, SDPI along with Samajwadi Party workers instigated violence in the state: UP Police
According to Singh, rioters have damaged public property worth around Rs 100 crore in seven districts during the protests. Singh said the UP police have arrested 865 people and filed 135 cases in connection with the protests.

senior IPS officer OP Singh has said that members of radical Islamic organisations – Popular Front of India (PFI) and its political front, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), including political parties like Samajwadi Party were involved in instigating Muslim mobs to indulge in violence across the state during the anti-CAA protests.
Three people associated with the radical Islamic organisation PFI, including UP state head Waseem, have been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for orchestrating violence by spreading misinformation through social media platforms. Singh said that the violence in AMU on December 15 was largely instigated by WhatsApp messages and Twitter posts stating that some Jamia Millia Islamia students were killed in police firing on December 15 in Delhi.

What's the recourse of Hindus in this area where the law was not applied in time?
But who sold the land in the first place?
I'm not from the area so can't tell how and why the Hindu and/or Sindhi owner sold out.

In my young days, I had canvassed through this area on a regular basis and know that even a single sighting of a skullcap would have put the whole area on alert as riots were regular in those days. Nowadays property prices would be all depressed in this area with this one act. Just a simple case of traditional breach due to some jaichand. Something that the disturbed areas act supposed to prevent by not allowing immediate sale without investigation of circumstances and effects.

Barely a year since Congress practically swept the state.

Now in local body polls, Cong gets 1283 wards and BJP is close behind with 1131.

Paranoid Cong govt held polls on ballot paper, but didn't help.

How did the land of Swami Vivekananda & Sri Aurobindo plunge to such unfathomable depths, where a Deobandi (i.e., Wahhabi in the Saudi mould) runs Education in the state without causing even a stir until Bangladesh calls him out for extreme jihadism?

Mamata’s MoS for education is the long-standing head of Jamaat-ulema Hind WB, too extremist a jihadi to be allowed into Bangladesh. Just as the CPI(M) supported China’s 1962 invasion of India, this Deobandi supported Pakistan’s 1971 pogrom. Bangali jago!

Btw, there is another GOI "welfare" scheme that will ultimately cover ALL Indians sooner or later but specially the bottom 90%. It is a good scheme on its own, for the country, for the people and for Dharma. It is a very open scheme which is being ramped up and enrollment is ongoing without any fuss.

NOW, will this scheme not collect data of the people enrolled like name, address, family, income, Aadhar, etc? Name the scheme, which possibly "could" cover 100% of Indian population one day!

Why endangered India has few well-wishers abroad

Why endangered India has few well-wishers abroad

India has entered the stage of a quasi-civil war. It is a blunt warning to the incumbent government that it will not be allowed to govern, regardless of the mandate promised in its election manifesto that it is seeking to implement.

Gautam Sen,
26-12-2019.

The nationwide outcry over the perfectly reasonable and measured legislative programme pertaining to the NRC and the CAA has revealed starkly what some already know. India has very few friends abroad and a significant number of Indian citizens, of all religious backgrounds, would be ready to betray it without a second thought. These are the people who will create internal disorder to distract India’s security apparatus, presumably on cue, should it face a dire challenge along its borders and find itself struggling. They are also, alarmingly, able to mobilise a not insignificant segment of the population, either paid or uninformed, to vent their rage against the government and authorities for grievances that may have nothing to do with the issue hand, as in the case of the CAA and NRC. Of course, the NRC hasn’t even been framed yet though rage is being vented over it, echoed maliciously by the Congress President with little grasp over issues affecting the country she had once remotely usurped with catastrophic consequences.

The ghastly Godhra killings were an earlier example of India’s internal enemies being mobilised by its adversaries. Pakistan sponsored murder and mayhem inside India by getting its assets within it to undertake an arson attack against the bogeys of the Sabarmati Express. It compromised India’s military mobilisation under operation Parakram, the reaction to the attempt to decapitate its entire national parliamentary leadership; a casus belli if there was ever one. More remarkable, in many respects, was Pakistan’s apparent ability to incite continuing protest in India against CM Modi for a whole decade, in an attempt to derail the career of someone who represented national renewal. One British-Indian university academic, handsomely funded by India’s MEA itself and host to senior officials of the ministry, wrote in the utterly partisan Financial Times, denouncing India’s ‘military adventurism and belligerence towards Pakistan’. He remains an honoured guest at India’s High Commission in London!

The ongoing violent protest highlights the graphic reality that few are willing to recognise and it is also unlikely to prompt the appropriate conclusions. Self-satisfaction, complacency and boundless confidence at India’s economic gains since the early 1990s will obscure the dark reality of its dire predicament. The attempt to clarify the basis of Indian citizenship and define its porous borders were immediately perceived as an assertion of its nationhood that was intolerable to a whole array of adversaries. They had long felt comfortable with a soft state whose vitals were being gradually being eaten away from within, as a prelude to a final denouement of the Indian Union. Domestic armed groups, in various guises, separatist regional movements and demographic transformation of its border regions, all with some degree of foreign involvement, was advancing towards the kind of crisis its myriad protagonists are now demonstrating in the streets of Indian cities.

This gradual dissolution of the India Union has been occurring on many fronts, undertaken by an alliance of the church and assorted Jihadis, who hope to settle with each other after the principal nuisance, the Hindu majority, has been disempowered. The models are the Northeast, West Bengal and Kerala. The Northeast states legally curtails the rights of Indians citizens, deemed outsiders, within its territory and humiliatingly refused to allow some ashes of the late Atal Behari Vajpayee to be immersed in a local river; a church sponsored monumental insult that was, as usual, swallowed without demur. Much of the region was originally gifted to the church by the ever-generous Jawaharlal Nehru, anxious to remain a beacon of hope and humanity in the eyes of the West. The West Bengal phenomenon is to intimidate the local Hindu population by ensuring the election of an outrageously partisan and thoroughly criminal political party. Of course, the backdrop to this outcome was more than a century of Anglicised mis-education that created a profoundly déraciné estrangement of Bengalis from the Indian mainstream, including their own greatest saints and thinkers. It was, in turn, followed by exposure to a particularly virulent Leftist mutant of the cancer that completed the goal of sowing utter confusion and institutionalised self-hatred. A further intermediate alternative for the quislings is to emplace a government that will do the bidding of church fathers and mullahs, as in Kerala, while local Hindus remain preoccupied with ancient jealousies.

These fissures within Indian society have long been known to seasoned foreign predators who have intervened on many levels to take advantage to further their nefarious plans to seize various pieces of sovereign Indian real estate. It is this conspiracy that the NRC and CAB appeared to challenge and constituted the final straw that broke the foreign camel’s back. The adversaries perceived an opportunity to strike, without having to watch and wait for Modi Sarkar’s demise for some other mundane reason, which is how Vajpayee’s NDA I perished because onions prices had increased. Such absurd priorities of the Hindu electorate amply explain why the people of India have been repeatedly subjected to prolonged subjugation by invaders. Following the departure of NDA-I, Indians replaced their perfectly decent government with robber barons who began accelerating the liquidation of the India Union through aggressive evangelist conversion, facilitating Jihadi incursions and the wrecking of the economy through plunder. Once the subsequent attempt was made by the NDA-2 to define who is an Indian and, as a corollary, India’s borders through the CAA, the criminal fraternity found the challenge to their nefarious goals, which had advanced precipitously under their foreign-born leader, intolerable.

All local assets controlled from abroad were swiftly activated, while a chorus of the foreign media engaged in a shrill cry of censure though without being able to substantiate what great wrongs had been committed. India academic specialists abroad, Western and of Indian-origin, its most insidious and venal enemies, joined the chorus to provide legitimacy for rioting and violence, effectively espousing the Jihadi war cry of ‘Islam in danger’. There can be no doubt that significant funds have been flowing into India in recent weeks to incite protest and finance dissenters. Few seem aware how widespread is the bribing of so-called journalists, activists and pseudo academics to serve the purposes of foreign adversaries of India. All it takes to avoid the perils of the hawala route is to use an international credit or debit card whose pre-set spending limit can be settled abroad. Recently, I met an Indian human rights and social activist who was being inexplicably funded on a tour by Britain’s major media dissimulator and fraudster. Another, who seemed perfectly trustworthy at first, turned out to be in the pay of industrialists and engaged in promoting their interests while feigning nationalist inclinations on the Internet.

A huge hole in the heart of the civilisation of Indica is the absence of an elite, with a steely cold and unsentimental cast of mind and intellectual prowess, willing to render service to it against destructive forces militating against its wellbeing and survival. On the contrary, a significant swathe of the country seems mired in parochial regional and other multifarious prejudices and loyalties that frequently guaranteed past defeats in the face of the most dangerous invading enemies. Again, and again too many of India’s people have chosen eventual desolation and enslavement over the rational inclination to cooperate with each other and, at least, postpone petty local squabbles when faced with an immediate common enemy. At this momentous time of national self-assertion and the defining of its basic identity as a people, a large number of the highly educated and extremely privileged Indians, across the globe, are shrieking aloud for the despoliation of the country. Such is the sickness of the soul they are not even bothering to seriously assess the veracity of the accusations that would supposedly justify India’s effective self-immolation.

The people and leaders of the Indian polity and non-existent intelligentsia class are also failing abysmally to tackle the near-universal hostile narrative about their nation that constantly calls for its demise. It seems clear from the choices of its leaders that they themselves don’t even understand the nature and scale of the problem, leave alone show the capacity to organise to combat it. The most tragic aspect of the situation is that some of the most vocal déraciné citizens of India, who are denouncing it, refuse to look to examples of how other nation’s actually control their own narrative and destiny. They decline any comment on China’s unforgiving demonstration how it can be done, without ceremony and with ruthless self-assertion. China has reasserted complete control over its own historical narrative, which flows from researchers in its own universities. Outsiders are excluded and denied access if they fail to toe the official line, which is, in fact, under the jurisdiction of the state authorities. A major sympathetic study of China notes the improbability of the widely held conviction in China that a park in China once adorned a notice forbidding the entry of dogs and Chinese, but hesitated to dismiss it though he found no evidence for what was likely to be an ‘urban legend’.

An accident of fate, though somewhat predictable in retrospect, has caught the nationalist government led by Narendra Modi in a trap. A whole multitude of those increasingly unsettled by a succession of political victories of the forces of national unity suddenly found an opportunity to launch a spiteful counterattack. Their fortuitous ability to motivate domestic unrest and the liberal inflow of foreign lucre to fund it has caught the government off guard. The decisive measures of the Modi government to defend the national interest by launching raids across the border, on the ground and from the air, in response to a series of the most outrageous assaults on India, from the repeated attacks on Mumbai, since 1993 to the attempt to decapitate India’s entire political leadership in 2001 and so many others, were being answered. They were followed by legislative changes on triple talaq that constituted a signal that egregious human rights violations would no longer be tolerated merely because they were asserted by a truculent minority, forever ready to threaten violence. Then, the tectonic historic Ayodhya verdict. And followed subsequently by the enormously important CAA and the prospect of a nationwide NRC. The deeply compromised opposition parties, clearly connected to foreign adversaries in contemporary India and other local assets of foreign powers, have risen to the challenge. India has entered the stage of a quasi-civil war. It is a blunt warning to the incumbent government that it will not be allowed to govern, regardless of the mandate promised in its election manifesto that it is seeking to implement. The scent of blood has prompted frenzy among the adversarial political piranhas and sharks while the poisonous black mambas and cobras of the media hiss in joy. It is now incumbent on as many Indians as possible to take to the streets, in a massive show of force to defend their government. This is the moment when selfless courage and readiness are required to make sacrifices to defend the Indian Constitution, the integrity of the nation and the civilisation of Indica against foreign foes and their assets within India. These are the so-called Left in criminal university networks of alleged students, their international allies, the evangelists and Jihadis. This is indeed the moment of truth and all self-respecting Indians must be determined to prevail, at any cost.

Islamic Jihadis are no friends of Fiberals
History tells us that India was once a land of milk and honey. Our historians tell us that through this land of milk and honey there flowed something called Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb. Two separate strands of society mixing together, with one losing its existence while the other gets to keep its identity. One way street.
If you have ever wondered what life was like for Hindus at the time, the riots after the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Act have given us a glimpse.
Let me explain the latest version of Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb : Pakistani Hindus are ‘Islamophobic’ for running away from Pakistan. Pakistani Hindus are ‘Islamophobic’ for wanting asylum in India. And Indian Hindus are ‘Islamophobic’ for wanting to give asylum to them.
So who is good and noble here? Well, it is these peaceful “dissenters” who pelted stones at a school bus.

They are angry. How dare the Indian Parliament give rights to Pakistani Hindus?
Now you can imagine what Direct Action Day looked like. Don’t forget to blame Savarkar for it.
Sarcasm apart, you can see why riots like these don’t win any friends. And that is why the protests so far have been confined to ‘secular’ enclaves like Jamia Nagar and Seelampur, around Aligarh Muslim University and so on.
Feel a little bad for the liberal crew here, who are walking one step behind the jihadis. The liberals have been busy. Let me quickly run you through their “To do list.”
(1) Clean up after the jihadis; say they didn’t do any violence.
(2) Spread fake news and make up stories that it was actually the police and the state carrying out the violence.
(3) Identify and create heroes who will be credited with resisting this imaginary state violence
(4) Call contacts in India and abroad to ensure a high flying public career for the newly identified heroes
(5) Painstakingly write history, making sure that the next generation reads a watertight narrative about the religion of peace.
But while liberals are engaged in this back breaking work, their jihadi friends keep undermining them by constantly giving the game away.
Just imagine what the Seelampur stone pelting did to the narrative yesterday. On Friday & Saturday, jihadis had burned trains and attacked railway stations in Bengal. Not easy to defend that, but liberals proved themselves up to the task. The Bengal story was taken off the top headlines.
Then, violent riots shook the capital. Liberals stayed up all night spreading lies. A policeman in a red shirt, a constable from the Anti-Auto theft squad, was labelled an RSS worker who was doing a lathicharge along with police. A video of policemen pouring water on a bus was made to go viral. Liberals said the police was pouring fuel and burning buses! Then, they spread fake news that the police had shot and killed a student.
What else do you have to do to prove that the rioters were just and noble?
The liberal media, many of them alumni of publicly funded minority institutions, descended on campuses, covering ‘stories’ of fake victimhood and identifying ‘heroes.’
There were many important questions here.
Why did police enter the campus without permission? Fascism! Apparently, real democracy means that campuses are sovereign states. If a rioter is hiding in a campus, police should not go in. They should go to the United Nations instead and apply for extradition.
Why would police go into a library? Shame! After all, a rioter would never think of going into a library.
For the next 36 hours, liberals worked hard on this narrative, polishing it with the help of politicians, academics and Bollywood celebrities.
And just when they had almost sealed the deal, along come the riots in Seelampur! Out of control jihadis start pelting stones on everyone, including a school bus.
How do you dig yourself out of that hole? How do you make excuses for attacking a school bus? What is the liberal media supposed to do now? Profile the ‘courage’ of some rioter who managed to aim his stone perfectly at the school bus?
How do you get out of this?
VOLUME!
You just pretend that it never happened. You maintain a complete, stony silence on what your jihadi leaders did in Seelampur. Instead you get together and scream your lungs out about all the fake narratives of attacks on “students” that you sowed together in the last two days.
The only way to get away with hypocrisy is to double down and be so supremely hypocritical that the other side loses nerve. That’s the game liberals are playing right now. They are ignoring every riot, simply looking past the jihadis and pointing the finger of accusation straight at us.
Remember that this is what we Hindus faced two generations ago in 1945-47.
This is what we Hindus faced in Kashmir one generation ago.
And always remember that both times the protesters got their way. Will we let them do that again?

That's pretty much feelings of many vets. Only problem is that many fail to understand the difference between Indian vs non Indian and Hindu vs others. Eventually EJ brainwashing against heathens kicks in. Though no doubt that there are lot of vets out there that understand that pakis and saudi are real issues.

I agree 100% with Gautam Sen's diagnosis, but I have to disagree with his prescription to deal with the malaise. To give a health analogy, I would say the orchestrated protests and Muslim anger being channeled into violece, and foreign vultures feasting on India's travails are akin to someone who has just been diagnosed with diabetes or coronary heart disease:

The doctor tells him/her, blood test indicates you are border line, I won't put you on strong diabetic medications and statins just yet, but I will recommend you introspect your diet (eat more veggies and fruits, cut down on carbs and eat more grains with low carb/fiber ratio), get more exercise, and have a general positive attitude. I will do a blood test in 3 months to see where we are, and then decide on hard medication.

I feel India is at that stage. As Gautam Sen observes and we all know, since 2014, BIF and its political wing like Pappu & Co have been working overtime to de-legitimize ModiJi. This latest set of protests are yet another attempt like many attempts before.

Where I see BIF still has not yet gained any escape velocity is that their central plan is still "ModiJi/BJP are anti-Muslim" and 'intolerant'. Give me a f!king break, and no need to beat this to death, but we now how hollow those claims are, given the Lok Sabha elections results in May 2019. However, the 'anti-Muslim' plank seems to have gained some traction, and her I need some help form those on the ground based in India.

From my vantage point, it does seem the protests are well orchestrated and don't have too much substance. But if you read today's NYT, or another long rant by some Uncle Tom in the Atlantic, another Dexter Filkins wannabe, they seem to paint an apo-calyptic picture. ModiJi govt is Nazi, its about to fall and protests will intensify.

So guys on the ground, where is the truth? Are the protests really that hefty? I am referring to the protests that are devoid of violence, arson, loot, and terror. I am only after truth, and nothing but the truth even if its not palatable to me.

So coming back to Gautam Sen's prescription that pro-govt protests pick up steam, I am a bit wary of that. Reason being that BIF has no qualms about burning down India. But us Dharmics for whom India is the only spiritual homeland cannot see it run down. And it will surely be case if counter protests pick up steam.

Thats why I am seeking the truth in these protests. If in fact, they have reach a tipping point as NYT claims, than YES, I will go with Gautam Sen's prescription. But if its just propaganda, I feel the silent majority should just let it pass, and protests will lose steam in due course.

Good article and scary one. If internal disturbances reach at critical proportions and simply block/riot/vandalize, what options are left? Silent majority can't be expected to get on streets and counter-attach rioters. Only cops or Army can help out in such cases.

I think it is just posturing by US media about Paki perfidy. If they could bomb Pakistan into $hittistan, They would have done it eons ago. Since they can't so they do song and dance around it.
First US knows that they need Pakistan as much as Pakistan needs them for many more years to come and second US has never bombed hell not even sanctioned a country which had American sponsored nukes and F-16's.

This is indeed the moment of truth and all self-respecting Indians must be determined to prevail, at any cost.
What an impression the struggle for independence left on us, even after all these years all indians are determined to remake it, and all the remaining indians are determined to protest it. Ironically,in one of kashyaps movie a character is told that the youth want to change the system and he confusedly asks
but what do they want to change?
How they must quail at the very thought of not being allowed to revolt for aazaadi. Its like bombing the earth to nuclear winter, so as to have first hand experience of the flintstones. And then there are these worthies who want actual boots on the ground on behalf of the machinery. Are we then to take to the streets for every bill to act process and its fallout, is not the government and its machinery there for this very purpose. No, we have to constantly take part in willful disinformation on all sides, memetic warfare, defending or denigrating the government of the day and now protests and counter-protests in flesh;what a time to be alive.

Gyan, before I watch tell me one thing. Is that turncoat who ran away to Harvard piling on ModiJi or does he have sound economic arguments and advice on how to deal with slowdown? If its the former, I could give a rat's ass.

Simply because while there is a downturn, I don't believe that its ModiJi's doing, and from what I gather, the fundamentals of the economy are strong and its only a matter of time before leading indicators pick up. In any case, I am not a big fan of showcasing a few more Star Bucks in elite suburbs of Bangalore, or a few more outsourcing contracts to India IT companies as proof that "India has arrived". I would rather go with ModiJi's ground up schemes and overall well being even if that means macro indicators like GDP aren't sexy.

Yes. He is that guy only. He is on a mission to abuse and spread doomsday.

BTW, I had a chance to meet with Arvind Pragniya, ex NITI chief.

He had given a pretty good lecture in Harvard with charts why economy will come back. We asked him this Arvind S. He said I have charts to show what's going on and what will happen and other Arvind blows hot air

I suspect that no amount of secularism would have saved this guy after all one can't be dharmic and consider anti dharmic to be acceptable and cede any space to them. Else, there's no point of being dharmic.

What downturn? All I see is bubbles bursting. Crazy growth of autos (I mean 4-wheel cars), driving traffic congestion, oil imports and pollution: May sake out a bit with several junk car companies going bust. Good.

Real estate "slowdown" because of this strange new idea that the full selling price must be reported - and taxed. And the buyer has to show source of funds. Good.

Banking sector slowdown as the nonsense bank execs are being forced to own up to their NPAs, handed out on political/management whims. Good.

Education sector slowdown because the Degrees-for-Cash schemes that produced 95% unemployable, ignorant, lazy grads, is having to face up to the reality that their grads are 95% unemployable, ignorant and lazy. Good.

Simply copying the worst of the Bhesht by importing scammers, is not the way to growth. Somewhere there has to be real productivity of useful stuff. Or (as done by England and Pakistan) a way to steal from outside, not just inside.
