Well ..well ... I don't have time to research this but IIRC, unless a private members bill had GOI tacit approval it does not get moved!

He is associated with the bcci as a secretary perhaps, is mos of finance, is conscripted into the territorial army, his father is the former cm of hp,in addition to which he has been awarded with the outstanding mp award. Maybe he is angling towards the arun jaitley chair of cricket-finance combo, but is also never prosecuted by the media, why the discrepancy?
You forgot, He was also drafted into HP Ranji team for just 1-2 matches so that he could qualify for board positions :)

WRT Gogoi appointment, the president appointed MP seats were supposed to be for individuals with significant contribution in any field. Over the years, this has turned into a political appointment and it is now hard for us to believe that some person of merit will be appointed. Even if he is part of famous 4, i still believe he is a highly qualified person and belongs on that seat for his knowledge.

Is this correct:
The former Supreme Court Judges, including the CJI, can't/ shall not plead or act in any court or before any authority within the territory of India, because of the constitutional prohibition imposed under Art.124(7) of the Constitution of India. Nevertheless, there is no legal impediment to their practice outside India

This is incredulous, 14 Indians studying in Pakistan.

Punjab: 43 Indians who arrived last night through Attari-Wagah Border have been sent to quarantine facility in Amritsar. Parijeet Kaur Johal, Civil Surgeon says,"29 have travel history of Dubai&14 are students studying in Pakistan. Medical reports sent to state govt".#Coronavirus
Edited: Got my answer from this Opindia article.
<snip>
However, it turns out that the Indian students returned from Pakistan are from Kashmir. As per a Hindustan Times report dated 16th March, 2020, about 100 Indians including 15 students from Kashmir were allowed to return to India from Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border. A senior customs official on condition of anonymity informed Hindustan Times reporter that about 15 Kashmiri students studying in Pakistan have also returned to India after special screening was carried out for them at the border.

Hundreds of Kashmiri students study in Pakistan. As educational institutes there closed because of coronavirus outbreak, most of them are returning home. Prior to that, about 60 Kashmiri students had returned from Pakistan at Wagah border.

Well, there are more Indian (from Kashmir) students studying in Bangladesh and they returned yesterday. When they were told that they need to be quarantined, they created a ruckus and broke windows etc at Srinagar airport.

India needs an exit policy post haste. People should not be freely allowed to go to places like Pakistan, Turkey, Iran etc without prior clearance.

Yes, if all goes well then Mar 20 should be a day of some good cheer:

- 4 monsters will be put down for good. This along with the 'quick justice' meted out recently in TG, will go some way in deterrence.

- Kamalanathan's joke goremint will fall. MP will go saffron again with Uncle Chou back in the saddle. Even if no independents/SP/BSP people switch to BJP, it should be an easy matter to win 9/24 seats in the upcoming by-elections especially with Scindia's help.

With all resignations accepted, a good outcome already is that dirty old man Doggy is unlikely to get another term in the RS and can stay home with his young daughter (no, wait.....wife). Too bad: I just realized MP has 3 RS seats coming up for election...so Scindia and Doggy will win and the third seat will have a close contest but will now likely go to BJP.

This is exactly what I meant in an earlier post about street justice:
https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/coronav ... topstories
In an incident which shows how the fear of coronavirus has become all-pervasive, a man riding a motorbike was thrashed in Kolhapur city of Maharashtra on Thursday just because he sneezed in public.
I'm guessing more such events will occur - perhaps the best way to get those idiots to stay home who have been quarantined! In the long term, maybe this will be the way to truly make Bharat "swacch" again! When peoples lives are tied up with sanitation and civic cleanliness, expect organic methods of enforcement.

now we know the reason to bring ranjan gogoi into the rajya sabha

An ex CJI speaking in the RS about matters long buried by congi, commie and the lootyens and other BIF FFNGO cabals with the active connivance of the system and other obscured and entombed matters of quid pro quo, omission and commission very conveniently swept under the carpet is protected by the constitution like all MPs and he cannot be silenced by any form of judicial intervention.

this is a savagely sharp damocles sword hanging over many a "haloed" political head as well as "other" BIF heads.

sleepless nights for a great many are just the beginning of this catastrophe of Wagnerian proportions that may soon visit the lootyens, FFNGO and the BIF ecosystems just beginning to feel the loud crash like thunder in the background that tells of the coming storm.

or maybe, the mere threat of this looming tsunami may be enough to silence many a paid and soldout critic and the BIF

Former CJI Gogoi levels a serious charge: “Independence of judiciary means breaking stranglehold of half-a-dozen people over it. They hold judges to ransom. If a case is not decided in a way advocated by them, they malign the judge.”

Guess which lawyers/netas comprise the lobby

Kambhakhat no one knows who is fighting on whose side.

If I was a BIF, I will start doubting all my allies. With a powerful govt in the center, Anyone now can tear away the fake green robe and go back to his/her roots.
All this while when commie-BIF-Cong cabal had created a ecosystem where being Anti-Hindu, Indic-hating alone was a ticket to next level, many would just keep quiet and trudge along as there was no other public pole to resist these forces.
Many will not become BJP lovers but they will go back to their natural state of being dharmic.
Once Modi Ji is able to break the elite education mafia and entitled Judiciary, we may see Ghar-wapasi among Lutyens too.

Gogoi is combative, to say the least, while the "journos" repeatedly try to do the hitjob that they very obviously came there to do.

his comments on one particular judge is "godfatheresque" and may well be a veiled warning of things to come if he were to be pushed beyond a point

MP govt crisis: Kamal Nath announces resignation, Congress falls and BJP rejoices
With a politically important state like Madhya Pradesh slipping out of its kitty just 15 months after it came to power, the Congress' already dwindling footprints in India's political canvas has shrunk further.
Mukesh Rawat, New Delhi, March 20, 2020

The Congress suffered a humiliating blow on Friday as yet another state slipped out of its grasp when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath announced resignation ahead of the Supreme Court-mandated floor test in the state assembly. Kamal Nath resigned because the Congress did not have the numbers required to prove majority in the house. A defeat in the floor test may have perhaps been more humiliating, hence the resignation.
Addressing a press conference in Bhopal, Kamal Nath said, "Mera kya kasuur tha? (What was my fault)" "The BJP got 15 years to develop the state but it didn't. I got just 15 months of which in two months there was a model code of conduct due to Lok Sabha election," he said. Accusing the BJP of "conspiring against his government", Kamal Nath said the BJP had been hands in glove in this conspiracy from Day 1.
"My government was able to prove majority in the house on three occasions. The BJP could not tolerate it. So, it conspired with a maharaj (Jyotiraditya Scindia) and 22 greedy MLAs and planned to topple my government," Kamal Nath said, adding that the people of Madhya Pradesh won't forgive these "greedy and rebellious" people. "This is not my betrayal, but it is the betrayal of the people of Madhya Pradesh," he said.
With a politically important state like Madhya Pradesh slipping out of its kitty just 15 months after it came to power, ironically after 15 years, the Congress' already dwindling footprints in India's political canvas has shrunk further.

Father & son duo are corrupt. Maybe he's one of the youngest, promised to change his ways & has cultivated good contacts to secure this position in North Block. During his father's CMship he accumulated benami all over HP. One of the reason Dhumal lost in last election. This election Shah made sure that BJP's undeclared CM candidate before elections & ex-CM Dhumal LOST THE MLA ELECTION! How Chanakiyan is that?! Shah even declared in a rally before elections in Mandi (current CM constituency) that people should vote for Jai Ram Thakur as he will given a big responsibility after elections. If Dhumal would've won his seat then it would've led to infighting among BJP legislators. He was made to loose because people here remember their last ineffective & corrupt govt.
