I think there is a silver lining in the dark clouds.

1. If you had gone out last week and said that Tableeghi Momeens will put paid to all our efforts with their radical behaviour, you would be written off as a Conspiracy Theory peddling islamophobe at best or lunatic as worst.

What has now exposed is the very very very dark underbelly of the Momeens and their Islamofascist apologists in Communists and Media. Who would go around as 'progressives' or 'liberals' or 'woke'.

In fact this very 'woke' crowd itself will start cringing in their social interactions and will be the first to ostracize the momeens albeit under the covers. Now they realize that they are also unsafe and thanks to the radical momeens.

When it comes to survival, they will be the first to burn the momeens on the cross.

2. You are not considered an islamophobe now when you talk about the risk these radical momeens create!

3. It exposed the entire Jamaati network which was undermining India. Think of the virus is an agent that exposes not just the top honchos, but from the central node to the remotest node and all the way to the foot soldier. Their place of stay and their support network. Their international buddies too were roped in for good measure!

I had a severe rat infestation once. The rats took the bait and took it across the furthest corners of the house and died there. I never knew that some of the areas had 'holes' that allowed the rats in.

Coronavirus served its purpose as the bait.

4. Remember health and police is a state subject? Now all CMs from Kerala to Mah to Telangana to Rajashtan to W. Bengal to Assam have to deal with this spread. If they become lax, they will put their own state under turmoil.

Think of this way, Telangana had to cut its government workers salaries. Do you think they will be happy? Now while the numbers were looking good, this sudden danger from Jamaatis. If the government appeases, then they risk spread and have to deal with a bigger issue. Like being quarantined like Kerala.

Shaheen Bagh was an eyesore. Like a scar on otherwise unblemished skin. No danger to others since it quarantined itself. Now every city will have such eyesores. Only thing is that they will be quarantined. Within those zones, the local economy will sustain them for a while. And things will be smuggled in. But without economic support of regular income, their own sustenance depletes with time. Further, if they fall severely sick, they have no option but to rely on local doctor or import a doctor to their now quarantined zone. All the police have to do is wall them off.

They brought it on themselves. Remember when they are walled off, their own jehadi supporters in media and communists will start squealing like pigs.

All in all, it was a brilliant move for NSA to go down and gently knock some sense in them. Knowing that they will create more problems as their wont is and expose themselves.

In the video from UK above, there are many individuals looking like Indians serving to operate opening new hospital. However, it is just a silver lining, the dark cloud matters too. Like stupidity to make such a virus by superpower emerging as status symbol (CT so not going further), or not listening even though part of being 'organized' something and then stoning even doctors.. it is just plain ridiculous.

Momeens are lucky that they are in a country where their leader is respectful. Troublemakers in Philippines are not so lucky. No need to go all the way loud mouth Duterte style, but GoI needs to be strict with these creatures for the benefit of all.

'Shoot Them Dead': Philippine President Duterte Warns Against Violating COVID-19 Lockdown
"Let this be a warning to all. Follow the government at this time because it is critical that we have ordered," he said. "And do not harm the health workers, the doctors because that is a serious crime. My orders to the police and the military, if anyone creates trouble, and their lives are in danger: shoot them dead," the Phillippine president added.

Momeens are really ensuring that any semblance of fence-sitters are also now turned against them more and more with most newspapers now openly printing every incident of stoning/assaulting health workers/roughing up doctors etc and almost every state new case being traced to the Jamaath gathering.
The worst part is even "secular"/"moderate" momeens are jumping into defending every article blaming the Jamaath in social media put up by generally "secular" folks and causing fights between them too

Was their chance to get into good books ( even if it was Taqqiyya) and they managed to blow it pretty spectacularly ( and managed to drag down all of Indian efforts in containing COVID19 with it)

Wonderful. We are not giving enough credit to the effort that MOHFW is putting into this plan. They have a lot of documentation and guidelines that they are clearly organizing and disseminating.

This needs to be continuously articulated for the next two weeks, because make no mistake, the whole containment exercise will reach a critical point where the nation needs to make hard decisions regarding whether or not to prolong the national lockdown. Frankly we can't afford to, not because of any governmental concern, but because it's economically crippling to millions.

There needs to be a DIRECT message widely broadcast that misbehavior of some hits the pockets of everyone directly, because they pay the price for it. This will give governments (state and center, regardless of their political color) the breathing space within which to conduct aggressive containment exercises and force people to not move out of those zones, as Apr 15 approaches.

This is the reason why lockdown was important. Even if govt had blocked international flights, think of the damage these 2000+ tablighis would have caused if they were roaming about in the crowded Indian streets! At least now, they were quarantined among their own and damage is limited to just their immediate circles. Of course, when these worthies travelled all over India in trains and buses they might have infected more, which if any will come out in the coming week.

Thank God for the lockdown!

Now is the time for the barelvis and others to step up their attacks against these Jamaatis. Otherwise they'll all suffer when this goes belly up.
Although I expect that they'll do no more than a whimper.

In the meantime. Tsp becomes the first country to be called a super spreader, a title that was so far reserved for individuals:

The tests make sense when contact tracing has been perfect and we have an abundance of kits to test close contacts folks multiple times over the Course of several weeks. Do we? And are you claiming contact tracing has been perfect and that no one has slipped through?

Better to ignore the tests - which serve no purpose than to highlight the fear in people's hearts at this time - and to start focusing on treating symptoms, keeping patients alive and getting production of necessary medical equipments, drugs and accessories in order.
This makes no sense whatsoever. A lot of those Tableeghi folks in TN were asymptomatic and if not for the tests would have been circulating around even more mosques spreading the disease.

Also, antibody tests play a vital role, especially for the economy. People who have had the virus and recovered are virtually 'superheroes' under the circumstances as they can go back to work especially in high risk environments like hospitals.

Who's gonna let the Chinese military inject their population with a microbial agent? Italy, Spain, Germany, France? Politically impossible in the US.
Chinese military scientists hope to test coronavirus vaccine abroad

*Results from a first-stage clinical trial will be published this month, but researchers say more extensive tests would best be conducted overseas
*Tests conducted in some of the worst-hit countries could help produce faster and more accurate results

China hopes to test a possible Covid-19 vaccine abroad as scientists look to carry out large-scale trials to test its effectiveness.

Military scientists have been working on a vaccine and the results of the first-stage clinical trials will be announced later this month.

Chen Ling, a virologist at the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease, said the second and third-stage trials would need thousands of subjects and carrying out these tests in the worst-hit countries would help to produce faster and more accurate results.

“For example, it may need thousands of people to be tested in order to know if there is a statistical significance in protection between people who received a candidate vaccine and people who didn’t.”

Chen Wei, a top epidemiologist and virologist with the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, told state-owned newspaper China Daily that if the initial results proved the vaccine was safe and produced the desired effects, China would look to test its effectiveness overseas if the global epidemic continued to spread.

She was quoted as saying that many countries had expressed interest in working with her research team to test the recombinant vaccine – which uses a harmless virus or bacterium to introduce the pathogen’s genetic material into the body to build up immunity – but did not name the countries in question.

Too many similarities with what happened in SoKo

Church Cult which caused mayhem

The one lady ( patient # 31) from here caused the number to shoot up from well controlled 30-50 countrywide to 8000 within 2 weeks and caused entire south region ( Daegu) to be shutdown completely to isolate

The only problem is the TJ folks have travelled to all nooks and corners using public transports and many are even now actively avoiding authorities. Atleast in SoKo, the public anger against them caused the members to come forward for testing and stem the flow within 2-3 weeks with their now world famous hyper-testing mode but in desh, I'm seeing all momeen defending these scum and making excuses on their behalf

Cant see how this well end well for India :x :(

Coronavirus Battle Creates a Global ‘Free-for-All’ to Find Masks
Traders scour factories and warehouses, find planes and pilots and look for buyers as hospitals and governments beg for protective gear.

By Keith Bradsher
April 1, 2020

SHANGHAI — Million-dollar wire transfers to strangers. Rumors of hidden supplies in forgotten warehouses. Wheeler-dealers trying to talk regulators and customs officials into letting that one precious shipment through.

Global desperation to protect front-line medical workers battling the coronavirus epidemic has spurred a mad international scramble for masks and other protective gear. Governments, hospital chains, clinics and entrepreneurs are scouring the world for personal protective equipment they can buy or sell — and a new type of trader has sprung up to make that happen.

The market has become a series of hasty deals in bars, sudden calls to corporate jet pilots and fast-moving wire transfers among bank accounts in Hong Kong, the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.

The stakes are high, and so are the prices. Wholesale costs for N95 respirators, a crucial type of mask for protecting medical workers, have quintupled. Trans-Pacific airfreight charges have tripled.

“It’s a global free-for-all, trying to get capacity,” said Eric Jantzen, the vice president for North America at Vertis Aviation, an aircraft and air cargo brokerage based in Zurich. “And the prices reflect that.”

The hurdles keep rising. On Tuesday, after complaints from Europe about shoddy Chinese masks and ineffective test kits, China’s Ministry of Commerce ordered manufacturers to provide further assurances that their products met standards.

World leaders are moving to get supplies, but they are still grappling with the vast scope of the problem. The White House announced over the weekend that it had organized 22 flights to airlift personal protective equipment. They are aimed at resupplying hospitals that are within 72 hours of running out of protective equipment, said Gregory Forrester, the chief executive of National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster, a group that works with American federal and state officials.

“If any one of these planes don’t take off,” Mr. Forrester said, “that’s going to be an issue.”

China vacuumed up a big share of global supplies after the outbreak emerged in January. It imported two billion masks in a five-week period starting then, according to Chinese customs data, roughly equivalent to two and a half months of global production. It also imported 400 million pieces of other protective gear, from medical goggles to biohazard coveralls.

Now, China has become a major part of the solution. Already a giant in mask manufacturing, it has ramped up production to nearly 12 times its earlier level of 10 million a day. It was a huge mobilization effort that involved redesigning freight train routes and sending large numbers of workers across the country in sealed buses.

CFR is not looking good right now for European countries other than Germany. Spain and Italy are well above 8%. UK is getting there and France too. Even the US is struggling to keep it below 2%.

Increasingly makes one wonder about Chinese numbers.

The infected cases & CFR data is not an apples to apples comparison.

France is counting the death of all hospitalised positive patients as Covid19 deaths be it due to ARDS or due to comorbidities that get out of control. Those infected and dying in old age homes called EHPADs are not counted as Covid19 deaths.

Unfortunately there is no German miracle. They have similar age group demographics as Italy, Spain or France and similar infection trends. The CFR difference comes from the fact thatGermany doesn't count deaths from comorbidities in infected patients as Covid19 deaths.

There could be similar variations across countries, so we need to be careful while drawing any conclusions

US liberal newspapers are misreporting the results of studies and surveys. I have read most of these studies & their data. Broadly

Hydroxychloroquine alone 87% cure rate, same as retroviral used for HIVs

Hydroxychloroquine + Azythromycin =+97% same as Favipiravir from Japan

Hydroxychloroquine +Azithromycin +Zinc = almost 100%

Western Nations continue to suffer as Treatment with Hydroxychloroquine protocols is emergency treatment as a last resort and it seems that earliest possible treatment is best.

https://www.covid19india.org/ is showing only 46 new cases so far.

If it stays below 150, then the Delhi incident would be a one off, until the next super spread.

Less than 150, would be a sign the lockdown effect has kicked in.

Good analogy. Another one is how a PET scanner works. You inject a tracer that gets absorbed differently by healthy and diseased cells and the bad ones get lit up in the PET scan image. This will give away the length and reach of Jammat's influence across the country.
For carrying the respiratory disease so far and wide despite govt notices and requests, its a good time to rebrand it as TB league Jamat (TM)(R).

Remdesivir is supposedly having serious side effects. Favipavir is also in running.
Favipavir is same compostion as hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin right?

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

1 million cases
50,000 deaths

5% death rate average

By the end of this pandemic, the US will end up with the largest number of casualties followed closely by Europe.

Remains to be seen the true impact on the subcontinent. Not enough testing and reporting at this point.

Different Hospital in UK dealing differently
Mostly it is supportive care with O2 and later ITU support.
Many not receiving antiviral
HQ is not being used at all at least in the Mersey area.!!

If it stays below 150, then the Delhi incident would be a one off, until the next super spread.

Less than 150, would be a sign the lockdown effect has kicked in.
Looks like that site needs an update. Kejriwal announced there are 208 cases in Delhi. That site lists 152.

It is frustrating to see people constantly complain about lack of testing in India. Can more tests be done, yes, but it is a stupid strategy? Because once a person is negative, does not mean they will stay negative. So they would need to be tested again and again.

There is absolutely NO data that indicates that there is order of magnitude infestation in India than what is reported. If it existed in any pockets, it will come out the way Tabligji Jamat came out with more than 6 of the infested dying and many others in hospital care. Except for the Taglibi followers, there has not been any increase in hospitalisations in India, indicating the for normal population, the spread has been very low.

More testing will only help in quickly testing the nearby people and completing the contact tracing and associated quarantine quickly. With a combination of symptomatic testing and random testing of non symptomatic people, and watching the hospitalisation cases like a hawk, India is doing a very well calibrated approach.

With the added lockdown, one would start seeing that the total infections to start dropping from next week onwards.

+++Agreed Gyan, the above combinations are working as per quite a few doctors
