Oh. How nice. None of them broke down the stats by Hindu Americans.
Indian-American voters could make huge difference in battleground states: Top Democratic leader
https://www.wionews.com/india-news/indi ... der-314381
Thomas Perez, chair of the Democratic National Committee, on Saturday said that Michigan has 125,000 Indian-American voters.

"We lost Michigan by 10,700 votes in 2016," he said, referring to the loss of Hillary Clinton, the then Democratic presidential nominee at the hands of President Donald Trump.

"In Pennsylvania, (there are) 156,000 (Indian-American voters). We (Democratic party) lost (presidential elections in) Pennsylvania by 42-43,000 (votes). In Wisconsin (there are) 37,000 (Indian-Americans). We lost Wisconsin by 21,000 (votes) in 2016," said the head of the Democratic party.

"The Indian-American vote, the AAPI (Asian-American and Pacific Islanders) vote more broadly, can be an absolute difference maker (in the 2020 presidential elections)," Perez said at a virtual event "An Electorate Coming of Age: Indian Americans for Biden', jointly hosted by the South Asians for Biden along with AAPI Victory Fund and Indian-American Impact Fund.

"We are hustling to the finishing line" 108 days till the weekend. Think about those three states alone that I mentioned. The Indian-American votes alone can be the difference in moving forward," Perez said.

Shekar Narasimhan, chairman of AAPI Victory Fund, said that there are 1.3 million potential Indian-American voters in eight battle ground states of Arizona (66,000), Florida (193,000), Georgia (150,000), Michigan (125,000), North Carolina (111,000), Pennsylvania (156,000), Texas (475,000) and Wisconsin (37,000).

In 2016, Narasimhan said 77 per cent of the Indian-American voters polled in favour of Hillary.

"Today in all the polls and surveys, their favorability for Biden over Trump is 2.3 to one, (which) is very close to what it was then (in 2016: 2.4 to one)," he said, asserting that the party can aspire to get 75-80 per cent of the Indian-American votes, if they do the work.

There are 1.3 million Indian-American adult citizens, by definition, who are eligible to vote in these (eight battleground) states, he said.

"It is our goal to deliver one million to actually vote in by November 3, 2020 and vote for a Democrat candidate namely for Joe Biden," Narasimhan said, adding that the information is based on data and latest research prepared by data guru Karthik Ramakrishnan.

"There are sectors of the Indian-American community throughout our country, throughout our battleground states. And we want to make sure we're engaging and connecting directly with you all," senior advisor of "Biden for President' campaign Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in her address to the event attended by over 800 Indian-Americans from across the country.

Amit Jani, the national AAPI director for the Biden campaign, said that the Indian-American community has grown in size, influence and in political and civic involvement. More Indian-Americans are joining politics and government.

While his minions are speaking to gullible South Asians, Biden steps up to forces that believe in kaffirs.
Biden to speak to the nation’s largest Muslim American PAC
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... rican-pac/
Joe Biden will address the nation’s largest Muslim American PAC on Monday, as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee continues to reach out to groups he didn’t court during the primary.

Emgage Action, the political arm of a 14-year-old Muslim outreach organization, will host Biden at its Million Muslim Votes Summit, held online. The conference comes 11 months after just two then-Democratic presidential candidates, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and former HUD secretary Julián Castro, attended the Islamic Society of North America’s convention. Emgage had criticized the two dozen Democrats, like Biden, who found somewhere else to be.

“Muslim American communities are organizing like never before to maximize our voter turnout, and to ensure that our voices are represented,” Wa’el Alzayat, the chief executive of Emgage Action, said in a statement. “The Million Muslim Votes Summit is the culmination of this work, and it is with great honor that Vice President Joe Biden is partnering with Emgage Action to engage with Muslim American communities and help galvanize us towards the polls this upcoming November.”

Biden would be the first Democratic nominee to address the group, which has active chapters in the swing states of Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He was criticized for skipping last year’s Islamic conference, and Emgage would go on to endorse Sanders for president. It backed Biden only after Sanders ended his campaign three months ago, saying it could “envision our voices being represented through his presidency.”

Democrats look to Texas suburbs to trace a 'roadmap' for courting a changing electorate
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/democra ... d=71841390
In the suburbs between Dallas and Fort Worth, a progressive Democrat fresh off a win in the primary runoff on Tuesday, is leaning on minority support to bolster her campaign against a Republican backed by President Trump.

A Democratic nominee in a suburban Houston district reaching into the Austin suburbs is seeking a different outcome in a rematch against a top party target.

And in a toss-up district covering some of the most diverse suburbs in the state in Fort Bend County, a Democrat vying to be the first person of Hindu faith and first Asian American to serve in the Texas congressional delegation is facing off against a sheriff in his second attempt at the seat.

Two years ago, Republican Rep. Pete Olson defended the onetime conservative stronghold (once represented by GOP House Majority Leader Tom DeLay) against Democrat Sri Preston Kulkarni by five points, the narrowest margin in a decade. But like many of his colleagues anticipating competitive 2020 races, Olson announced his retirement in 2019, stripping the GOP of the advantage of incumbency and paving the way for the 22nd to be among the most competitive contests in the nation.

Who is Medha Raj, the Indian-American appointed as Joe Biden's digital chief of staff?
https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/trend ... 02501.html
Raj will work across all facets of the digital department to streamline and coordinate how to maximise the impact of its digital outputs. “Excited to share that I've joined Joe Biden's campaign as the Digital Chief of Staff. 130 days to the election and we're not going to waste a minute,” Raj posted on LinkedIn.

Raj was previously associated with the presidential campaign of Pete Buttigieg before joining Joe Biden’s team. She was a part of Buttigieg’s team for eight months from August 2019 to March 2020.

A graduate in international politics from Georgetown University, Raj earned her MBA from Stanford University in 2019.

She was also a research assistant for Real Institute Elcano in Spain, and a consultant at Deloitte.

Raj was also a part of the strategy team and the investment team at Flippable and Higher Ground Labs, respectively.

Darshan Saar, Pray which DFW suburb? Tarrant, Denton & Collin counties are dark red with little or no chance of a DemoCrap winning anything. Most of rural counties surrounding DFW is also red. Dallas has been blue with marginalized population.

The fools who are trying to drumup support for Sleepy Joe in Ohio or Pennsylvania are going to have hard time. None of the folks I know who live in Columbus affluent suburbs are going to vote for DemoCraps. From my relatives in Dayton OH, a very smilar story, the Governor in Ohio is doing a great job. Michigan is a toss-up.

Claims of Anti-Hindu Bias in California Schools Debated at Ninth Circuit
The fight to revive a lawsuit over how California portrays Hinduism in public school lessons largely hinges on whether state educational standards are policies — which can be reviewed by courts — or curriculum, which cannot be.

During oral arguments before a Ninth Circuit panel Tuesday, Senior U.S. Circuit Judge Mary Schroeder asked how the court can review a curriculum decision given the Ninth Circuit’s 1998 ruling in Monteiro v. The Tempe Union School District, which found a school district cannot be sued for making students read Mark Twain’s classic, “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” despite the book’s repeated use of racial slurs that plaintiffs said could harm the self-esteem of young Black students.

“What is the authority that says we can oversee the content of curriculum when the Monteiro case seems to indicate otherwise,” Schroeder, a Jimmy Carter appointee, asked.

Representing California Parents for the Equalization of Educational Materials (CAPEEM), a group that promotes the accurate portrayal of Hinduism in schools, and three Hindu parents suing on behalf of their children, attorney Glenn Katon argued state-approved educational guidelines are policies the court can review.

“When the state Board of Education approves standards and frameworks, there’s no disputing those are policies,” Katon said.

Katon’s clients sued the California Board of Education in February 2017, claiming it adopted curriculum guidelines in 2016 that tie negative aspects of the caste system to Hinduism, promote a “completely debunked” Aryan invasion theory regarding the origin of Hinduism and portray other religions as having divine origins while failing to do the same for Hinduism. The complaint alleged violations of the Establishment Clause, due process, free exercise of religion, and equal protection under the law.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer dismissed most of the lawsuit in July 2017 but advanced an Establishment Clause claim. In February 2019, he granted the state’s motion for summary judgment, finding “a reasonable observer would not view the standards and framework as primarily denigrating Hinduism.”

Seeking to reverse those rulings, Katon argued Tuesday that the state standards describe Hinduism “in purely secular terms,” unlike other religions, and subject Hindu children to lessons that disparage their faith.

Schroeder asked how the plaintiffs can take isolated portions of the educational standards and bill them as policies.

“I’m not sure how we look to statements that you believe are false to create a policy that you believe is hostile,” Schroeder said.

Katon replied that his clients identified parts of the state’s educational policies that disparage Hinduism. Those pieces of the policy should be deemed unconstitutional, he argued.

U.S. Circuit Judge Daniel Bress, a Donald Trump appointee, asked how historical disagreements, such as the disputed role of Aryans in the origin of Hindu civilization, translate to denigrating a religion.

“What’s the basis for saying the standards disparage Hinduism,” Bress asked.

Katon cited state guidelines that describe the Bhagavad-Gita, a divine Hindu text, as literature.

“To say a religion’s holy book is a human creation when the standards certainly don’t do that for the Koran, Torah or New Testament,” Katon replied
.

Defending the California Department of Education, attorney Thomas Prouty cited Judge Breyer’s February 2019 ruling, which found the state’s guidelines discussed “problematic facts about religions other than Hinduism” and highlighted “several positive things about Hinduism.”

Prouty also called attention to Breyer’s finding that the plaintiffs cherry-picked lines from emails out of context to make it appear as though the South Asian Faculty Group, a group of history teachers who recommended changes adopted by the state Board of Education, harbored anti-Hindu bias.

“Judge Breyer in his summary judgment ruling used the term ‘misleading’ three times — each time was in reference to the plaintiffs’ characterizations or generalizations of documents,” Prouty said.

Addressing the role of the caste system in Hinduism, Prouty noted the framework does not describe it as “bad or strange or unfair,” but rather says that it provided “social stability and gave an identity to each community.”

He further noted that when new guidelines were being drafted, members of the Sikh community argued against eliminating discussion of the caste system because that would be “erasing the origins of their belief system.”

Katon replied that his clients have never sought to erase references to the caste system from school curriculum.

“It’s just that caste should not be mentioned as a Hindu religious belief, just like slavery should not be described as a Jewish or Christian religious belief, even though there is mention of it in the Old and New Testaments,” Katon said.

After 43 minutes of debate, the panel took the arguments under submission.

Chief U.S. Circuit Judge Sidney Thomas, a Bill Clinton appointee, joined Bress and Schroeder on the panel.

In 2009, CAPEEM settled a previous lawsuit against the state Board of Education over the portrayal of Hinduism in school textbooks. California paid $175,000 to resolve that litigation.

Most of the NAM leaders were either Communist - Cuba under Castro, Yugoslavia under Tito - or Muslim countries - Indonesia under Sukarno, Palestine under Arafat, Egypt under Nasser, and Iran. Actually they have nothing in common. The liberal Jewish elite will not tolerate any anti Semitism and they are anti national when it comes to states of other people.
They are extremely supportive of each other in profession, business and speak in unison.
They rightfully for them, fear nationalism of any kind as they associate it with great atrocity against them or an erosion of power structure. Case in point in recent times was Tsarist Russia and then Nazi Germany. Nationalism of western nations has hurt them badly and hence there is a whole scholarship that has been developed, funded and supported to prevent exactly this from emerging.
Indians have not even understood the tip of the iceberg.

A commonly misunderstood concept is that of Judaism vs Zionism, i.e. support for sustaining the State of Israel. There are not mutually fulfilling. There are lots of Jews who are very active against anti-Semitism while simultaneously being vehemently anti-Zionist - they are opponents of not just the Israeli government but the very State of Israel. More reading: Haredim and Zionism.

This kind of concept does not exist when it comes to Hindus and India - there's no significant constituency that is both devoutly Hindu and anti-India, unlike with the case of the Jewish diaspora and Israel.

^^^Important distinction. Our interest and collaboration is with the state of Israel. The other riff raff are no friends of India. Think Soros, Bloomberg, Lantos, etc etc.

And for the same reason, we should never assume that Indian Americans are friends of India. It is up to them to prove it.

EDITED: Did see his responses toward the bottom but seems to be limited. The questions are all over the place including Biden's responses.

Biden is already up double digits at this point. He does not really need any minority vote to win. DT's mishandling of Covid and his advisors have really let him down big time. Had he been able to get the trillion $ infrastructure bill passed earlier and created an income support plan for laid off people he would be winning bigly by now. His FoxNews interview betrayed his thought process and how he operates rather embarrassingly.

Liberal Westerners (including Jewish) dont understand non-Abrahamic countries. They need native sepoys to feed and (in some cases) process that information for them. In India, their native sepoys are the disconnected brown sahibs whose worldview is exactly the same as these gora sahibs. That is why both of them hate and fear Hindu resurgence and resistance. Audrey and Pollack's historical interpretation is not much different from Thapar's or Sharma's. Its the same parampara.

US asks China to shut down their Houston consulate in 72 hours.

Then the Chinese staff decided to make bonfires of all their documents, setting off a lot of smoke and bringing the fire department in.

Wonder what's behind the ask to shut down the consulate - maybe with the travel ban there really isn't much work to justify them being there. Now the Chinese will ask US to shut down one of its consulates - Shanghai (unlikely), Guangzhou (likely, due to proximity with HK), Shenyang (who cares), Chengdu and Wuhan (sure a lot of diplomats will be relieved).

For that you will have to go back 3000 years, give or take a few hundred. It's all the brothers for whom India sticks out like a civilizational sore thumb. Plus, a fractured region makes it easier to exploit it for resources and location. Its civilizational plus resources.
One of the most difficult Amalek passages is in 1 Samuel. “Go and attack Amalek,” Samuel tells Saul, speaking for God. “Utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey” (1 Sam. 15:3). Saul carries out the command—though he preserves everything of economic value, along with the Amalekite king, Agag. “All that was despised and worthless they utterly destroyed” (15:9).
This passage talks about a nomadic tribe in the desert that was completely annihilated because it was different. There are many such tribes. Idolators must be annihilated. Of late there is a lot of whitewashing to make the Amaleks look like real villains and give some strange bent to the tales.
But India is an ancient civilization and the oldest one. Egypt fell, Rome fell so why should India not fall.

We must be very cautious.

American voters. This is what is at stake. Now apparently one specific community is so special they get their own civil rights. This is the slippery slope that will end in United States of Sharia.

There is something seriously wrong with this Jayapal person. She is all sorts of treacherous and contemptuous.
If you read her book and below is an excerpt, you will see that she was not quite like this earlier. There was an attachment to her civilization and she mentions that she named her son from her prior marriage after Rama's father Janak.
Sometimes spouses change people to the extent that they change peoples religion as well.

Below is her 2nd spouse. The description is very telling and he is a great fan of the Arab Spring. He is also a western "Buddhist".

I still fail to see how the courts are allowing State Board of Education all over the country to teach religion. The first amendment states
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
By extension Congress has meant to be any governmental authority. That is why Roy Moore when he was the Chief Justice of Alabama Supreme Court was sanctioned by his own peers for putting the Ten Commandments in the courtroom. That is the reason school vouchers are not being given to schools that are religious in nature.

California Board of Education is a governmental authority and it is trying to define what Hinduism is.

This is not a one off. This bullying of others and denying them even the slightest of space.

This silliness will alienate even the friendliest of groups. I am amazed that with the agony Indians have undergone through colonisation, we don't have visceral trauma at various symbols.

It took eternity to get this assigned as a hate crime.

Colorado authorities add hate crime charge against man who attacked Sikh-American store owner

Authorities in Colorado state of the US will add a hate crime charge against an individual who had brutally attacked a Sikh-American store owner in April and told him to “go back to your country”.

Sikh civil-rights organisation Sikh Coalition said it has been informed that the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office has decided to add a hate crime charge against Eric Breemen, who will now be charged with multiple counts—now including a bias-motivated crime—in the violent April 29 assault on Lakhwant Singh.

Many Indians have had to go through this. We have had to deal with many times when kids in the family go through high schools. It has sort of become a ritual to bring this point up during the class.

Light shines the brightest on Nazis as they aren't here and ones who are here don't want anyone talking about their genocides committed under the cross, queen, etc.

No textbook has a note on swastika's origins to allow reader to make an informed choice about whether to laugh at a white supremacists for using Dharmic symbol from color people or not.

And of course anyone investigating history has to be labeled antisemite to prevent people from putting down the clear history of how this Abrahamic religions have been killing each other since day one and their internal genocides aren't really genocides but cousins fighting each other. Wiping off native Americans which aren't related to you in any manner is a real and systematic genocide.
Hindu Student Leader In US Faces Cyber-bullying For Pointing Out That Sacred Dharmic Symbol ‘Swastika’ Is Different From Nazi Hakenkreuz
https://swarajyamag.com/news-brief/hind ... hakenkreuz

In an another instance of creeping Hinduphobia rooted in abysmal cultural ignoranc , a Hindu student leader in United States was at the receiving end of cyber-bullying campaign for suggesting that sacred Dharmic symbol 'Swastika' is different from Nazi Hakenkreuz.

Simran Tatuskar, a student union leader at Brandeis University in Massachusetts, was forced to issue a clarification after a concerted smear campaign, which insinuated her of being an 'antisemite' for pointing out the dissimilarities between the two symbols.

The campaign against Tatuskar was spearheaded by an organisation, StopAntiSemitism.org, which accused her of 'reinventing' the Swastika's reputation in school curriculum to present it as a peaceful symbol.

^^^Brandeis is a private Jewish university. So it is not surprising they're ganging up on this kid. If you're politically active, then pick some other school.

Were Jewish people allowed to vote before blacks? Were Jewish people brought in as slaves and kept as property? Did Jewish people have to fight for civil rights? Are there as many slavery museums as Holocaust joints?

Swastika for peace and prosperity.
Philly NAACP president shares anti-Semitic meme with misattributed neo-Nazi quote
https://billypenn.com/2020/07/24/naacp- ... azi-quote/
Friday evening, the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia condemned Muhammad’s post and called for the NAACP to remove him from his leadership position.

“This vile behavior from a civic leader is incredibly dangerous for Jewish communities across the world,” wrote Interim Director Laura Frank.

Philadelphia Rabbi Linda Holtzman said the image nauseated her for its clear depiction of an anti-Semitic trope. However, she said the post, whether knowingly anti-Semitic or not, speaks to the need for more dialogue between the Black and Jewish communities.

“What I see in it is a plea for greater conversation and greater understanding,” she said. “It certainly sets things back.”
