This plan was brought in on 16 Nov 16 to take care of the issues relating to hoarding currency notes, to start hoarding unaccountable Gold, slowly over a period of time it will get pushed into Jewellers and legitimate gold supplies, perhaps this was a new Hawala network to get settlements for Services like being a useful media idiot, terrorist handler or riot maker handled.

It looks the rot runs really deep in the Administrative and Business ecosystems in this country.

Chief Minister of Puducherry, V. Narayanasami, has directed the forest department to return Lakshmi the Elephant back to her home at the Manakula Vinayagar Temple in the Union Terrritory.

Lakshmi was adopted by the Temple after she was abandoned by her herd and has been living there since 1997.

she is expected to be back by wednesday.

Kerala Gold smuggling round up
Swapna, friends smuggled gold 23 times via diplomatic channel.
Sandeep's gang likely smuggled 200 kg gold through diplomatic channel.
Looks like even India Post will not work so efficiently . And the role of UAE Consulate staff in Thiruvananthapuram seems to be really shady.

Now there also seems to be a different modus operandi to funnel in unaccounted money to KL.
Police file case against Feroze Kunnamparambil, 3 others for threatening young woman.
A few people euphemistically called nanma marams (trees of kindness) make video of people who are struggling for money, mainly due to serious ailments etc. This video is then circulated via social media to seek money as charity. This seems to have become a instant hit as lakhs are often raised by many people contributing little. Now the sponsors of this event gives some money to the actual victim, but the excess money is retained by them. The issue being, the excess money and its circulation is then not known to any one. This time a girl who got money in this fashion later came on social media saying that the sponsors are now threatening her. They are asking her to make her account a joint account, and sign on blank cheques etc. The first accused in the case Feroze used to run a small mobile phone repair shop. Today his only job is to run these charity campaigns, with a significant improvement in his life style.

The whole episode reminded me of India's cricket matches in the nineties. Tendulkar starts well piling up runs till the 20th over, India loses Tendulkar's wicket then the whole team is bowled out in the next ten overs.
Teacher, Bald e'con'mist and Pinu (CM) had a premature celebration over initial success.
In the coming days, CM will again disappear from the press conferences and let the teacher face the music.
All the money spend on PR laid waste by the smuggling episode and now the covid boom.

Kerala Gold smuggling round up
Faisal hatched dummy bag plan, 230 kg gold smuggled till date.. This person has been detained by UAE police. There are some other reports which says that UAE wants to interrogate him further to find out the UAE based smuggling activities. This does give me a feeling that UAE may NOT hand him over to India if they feel he can expose UAE Consultate staff's own shenanigans. UAE Consultate in Thiruvananthapuram had been dealing with certain state ministers byepassing the laid down protocols.

Meanwhile the 'UAE appeasement' in KL seems to cut across all departments. Kerala DGP violates service rules in providing security to UAE Consulate. It would be wise to close down all middle east countries' establishments in Kerala, as the state seems to be under the impression that it is a dominion of some middle east sheikdom.

Kerala Gold smuggling round up
Gold smuggling: Customs raid Malappuram man's house.
Centre to probe {Minister} Jaleel's interaction with UAE consulate.
Over 20 hawala gangs were involved in gold smuggling racket: Customs.

Gold smuggling case accused Faisal Fareed invested money in four Malayalam movies. There was a spate of movies in Malayalam which eulogized one religious community and at times even justified smuggling and terrorism. Recently there was a grand plan to launch a movie on one of the earliest Islamic terrorists in Kerala; Variyamkunnath Kunjahammad Hajji. Then there was also this 'famous' (!?) director who specialised on Hindu-Muslim love stories with the woman being from the Hindu community. He was strutting as a 'communist progressive liberal' but off late his true colours have been exposed. Looks like the smuggling mafia were also involved in the financing of such films. Just like the Bollywood gang whose interests are 99% anti-India, the Kerala film industry also seems to be following suit. This is one industry which seems to be now completely under the control of organized criminal gangs (while also contributing nothing positive to the society).

Backdoor appointments cost the public money and the government its face

Backdoor appointments cost the public money and the government its face

JULY 19, 2020

(This is the first part of the Malayala Manorama series 'Government Jobs: Playbook of Nexus and Nepotism')

When 5.5 lakh government employees in Kerala are paid salaries in accordance with the recommendations of the Pay Reforms Commission, there is no such limit on the beneficiaries of backdoor appointments. Dream projects are conjured up to keep their jobs safe and their salaries justified.

Swapna Suresh, an accused in the gold smuggling case in Thiruvananthapuram, had been taking home a pay check which was heftier than that of a district collector. Rules are bent for the favourites of people who are in position. All this cronyism costs the public exchequer dearly.

Swapna Suresh’s appointment to a government-run enterprise was the beginning of a dream run. She even managed to get PwC refer her name as a consultant. And she did that with a fake degree certificate which escaped scrutiny until now.

At first glance, the appointment seemed regular. She was picked by a Faridabad-based firm which acted as a consultant to the multinational consultancy, PwC. The government appointed her to the Space Park as per the referral of PwC. However, the whole episode becomes muddy when we know that the candidate was close to the man who controlled the department, M Sivasankar, who was the Information Technology Department Secretary and the Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office.

Consultancy firms such as PwC are asked to supply candidates for government jobs. The route could also be used by higher-ups in the government to ask the consultancies to refer only those candidates as the officers suggest.

The state government had been paying PwC Rs 2.7 lakh for the service of Swapna Suresh. PwC, in turn, paid Vision Technology, the Faridabad-based firm which acts as a sub-consultancy, Rs 1.4 lakh as Swapna Suresh’s salary and the commission and taxes (10%).

Vision Technology paid Swapna Suresh Rs 1.12 lakh.

Compare this with the managing director of the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited. That post comes with a salary of Rs 1.5 lakh. The chief secretary of the state draws a salary of Rs 2.25 lakh.

Desperate attempts

Before Swapna Suresh joined the Space Park as a project manager, she had tried to get into the Technopark or some other government enterprises. She even tried to get back into the UAE consulate. A multinational consultancy firm felt pressure to recruit her. Then she got PwC to refer to the job at the Space Park.

These attempts happened in September. Top companies in Technopark refused to hire her because they did not want to spend big on someone without any serious qualifications. Her promoters tried to appoint her in Coconics, Kerala government’s laptop manufacturing company, but there weren’t any vacancy for her.

As a last resort, a post was created for her in the Space Park. Instead of recruiting her directly, PwC was roped in to create a façade of fair play.

Fast files

Even Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s exhortation to speed up file movements to help the people had failed to shake up the Secretariat bureaucracy from its slumber. Yet files flew across departments in record pace if they were initiated by a particular officer. Sivasankar could open a file, get it vetted by various departments and make it into an order in a single day. After all, he was the right-hand man of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister’s Office has an officer responsible for the smooth conduct of files.

Files related to the appointments to the Information Technology Department are not to be found in the Secretariat. Whenever the Information Technology Department wanted to create a post in any of the institutions under it or to make a post permanent, a file would make its way to the Secretariat.

The Finance Department often showed undue haste in approving such requests. Sivasankar was also in good terms with Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac and his staff. When it came to Information Technology, the Finance Department chose to ignore the financial crunch. The request would be approved by the Finance Department and sent to the cabinet for approval.

Other ministers and officers were under the impression that the Chief Minister was privy to such decisions. So nobody bothered to question them. Sivasankar was not without detractors in the Chief Minister’s Office but they were afraid to follow up on the leads they received.

The Chief Minister has said that he was not aware of the appointment of Swapna Suresh to the Space Park. He has set up a probe into the whole affair.

The route to Space Park

The Space Park was set up by the Information Technology Department in association with the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC). Somewhere in the middle of 2019, the firm decided to hire a junior consultant and PwC was put on the job of identifying one. PwC is also learned to have received a direction about the possible choice.

PwC did not send its own consultant. The multinational firm outsourced the job to Faridabad-based Vision Technology. Enter Swapna Suresh as a consultant referred by PwC. She had joined as a consultant of Vision Technology within a month of leaving her job with the UAE consulate on August 31, 2019. On October 21, she joined the government enterprise.

A Haryana-based firm, Knowy, was tasked with the job of running a background on Swapna Suresh. An advocate with a Bengaluru-based firm, Crime Check, was asked to run a background check on any criminal antecedent. She was found to have a good track record. It would later emerge that she had produced a fake degree certificate to land the job.

Swapna Suresh was interviewed at the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited by a panel that included a special officer of the Space Park. Though she was on the payroll of a third-party consultancy, she was given a government identity card and visiting cards. Nobody knows how to explain it, especially since the government argues that she was not even a contract employee.

Falling flat

The government justifies the appointment saying that she is not paid out of the public exchequer. However, the government had been paying Rs 2.7 lakh to PwC for Swapna’s services. That included her salary of Rs 1.2 lakh. The rest of the amount is towards the commission of PwC and Vision Technology.

The government also said that Swapna had ties with the Information Technology Department. However, she had placed herself as the face of the Space Park when she approached investors. If she was not an employee, then why was she given an identity card and business cards bearing the government seal. Consultants in other government departments are never given a card with the government seal.

There were allegations that she might have faked the cards but officials later confirmed that they were given by the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited.

The argument that the government had no role in Swapna’s appointment is also without much merit. Though she was a consultant of Vision Technology, she was interviewed and appointed by an official panel that contained a special officer of the Space Park.

Then there is another narrative that she was recommended by an advisory committee of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The VSSC has rubbished this. The committee that includes the director have not met even once. The formation of the advisory committee was notified three months after Swapna’s appointment.

Does the sole responsibility lie with Vision Technology? The government has entered into a contract with PwC. Vision Technology is only a third party in this case.

Irregular appointments

A R Naseeja, wife of Minister J Mercykutty Amma’s private secretary, was offered a permanent post with the Labour Department recently. A A Basheer’s wife secured her career as a lower-division clerk in the Kerala Institute of Labour and Employment (KILA) even as about 56,000 candidates who passed the PSC test await their turn to be appointed to the government service.

This appointment contradicts an earlier circular that specifically barred government departments from offering permanent posts to temporary appointees. The then Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary K M Abraham sent the circular in 2016 as a follow-up to a Supreme Court ruling.

The circular blocked the permanent appointment of hundreds of temporary workers but Naseeja could use her political influence. She was offered the post because she had completed 10 years in the temporary post. She joined in 2008.

Another CPM sympathiser was also given permanent appointment as a typist, citing the same reason. She would have been appointed permanently at the time of the previous LDF government but for some opposition.

The order has now been 'put on hold' as the I/O complained to HQ in New Delhi. But it is obvious that customs officials in Kerala (even though they belong to an all India cadre) are getting worried that their shenanigans would get exposed too. Smuggling has become a 'state festival' mainly due to the connivance of Customs folks as well. And the whole case is now being investigated by NIA, ED, Customs & Central Excise with rumours that CBI may also join the fun.

NIA to quiz Sivasankar again on Monday. The quiz winner then may be sent to NIA custody as there are strong rumours that this interrogation may lead to his arrest.
Customs department to send notice to Lokanath Behera. {IPS, DGP of K.P}. He had earlier went on record that intelligence inputs on smuggling gangs were shared with the central agencies.
NIA finds over Rs 1 crore, 1 kg of gold in Swapna’s lockers. The accused had stated that this paltry items was given to her by her (Ex) Husband; an Arab as a gift . Which also confirms the earlier rumours that this woman may be a convert to Islam; but for 'secular' reasons going with a Hindu name.

Kerala Gold smuggling round up.
Gold smuggled into Kerala funded anti-CAA protests? Probe on. Looks like the initial clues came in after the Delhi riots and the UP police picking up certain Kerala individuals suspecting them to be financing the riots. And from then on they tracked down around 3-4 Middle East based groups who were pooling money and sending it to Kerala. As per this Malayalam online news report; the UAE Attache was also paid around Rs. 75,000 for each round of successful smuggling. There are very high chances that UAE was trying to meddle into India's internal affairs and their staff perhaps even encouraging terror financing. The routing of gold and unaccounted money; and that getting used to sponsor riots in parts of India cannot be a coincidence.

Kerala HC says section 153A cannot be invoked against Hindu leader who wrote about a ‘Church film set’ demolished inside a Temple area: Here are details
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/kerala- ... ader-bail/
In a significant observation, the Kerala High Court has ordered that merely inciting the feelings of one community or group without any reference to any other community or group cannot attract the provisions of section 153A of Indian Penal Code.

On May 24, a film set of a Malayalam movie ‘Minnal Murali’ was allegedly vandalized by some miscreants in Kalady, Ernakulam. The filmmakers had constructed a set depicting the church near the Mahadeva temple near Kalady riverbanks. A group of miscreants had allegedly demolished the church accusing the filmmakers of constructing it without permission.

The filmmakers had alleged that some members of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal’s Ernakulam unit, an offshoot of Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP), was behind the incident.

The Kerala High Court was hearing a petition filed against one individual named Pradeep RS, the General Secretary of Antharashtra Hindu Parishad (AHP). Reportedly, Pradeep had published a post on his Facebook page after the incident admitting his role in the act of demolition by the members of his organisation and justified it.

In his bail petition, Pradeep had contended that he was innocent and was not even present at the spot during the incident. He had further asserted that his Facebook post did not in any way promote enmity between different groups on the grounds of religion as no other religion has been referred to in the post.

However, Kerala government opposed the bail plea of the Hindu leader claiming that the intention of the accused was to ‘poison the minds of Hindus of the locality against the Christians’ stating that a Church or something resembling a Church had come up in the precincts of Mahadeva temple, which may probably be permanently snatched away by the members of the other religion.

Kerala: Travancore Devaswom Board appoints Arabic teachers in schools under it
https://www.opindia.com/2020/07/travanc ... s-appoint/
In yet another attempt to push its anti-Hindu agenda, the CPI-M led Kerala government has now decided to utilise funds of Hindu owned schools under the Travancore Devaswom Board to employ Arabic teachers.

According to Organiser, Travancore Devaswom Board, whose responsibility is to administer temples in Kerala, has now decided to appoint Arabic teachers in schools which come under its management in Kerala. The Devaswom Board has been tasked by the Kerala government to fill the vacancies of schools managed by various temples. The board has now decided to recruit Arabic teachers and has also finalised a list of four candidates.

The board, which is mandated to administer Hindu temples, has now shortlisted Shameera, Bushara Beegum, Mubash and Sumayya Muhammed for the post of Arabic teacher.

Incidentally, the board has not recruited any Sanskrit teachers, even though Sanskrit is an Indic language and is mentioned in the 8th schedule of the constitution, while Arabic neither belongs to the country nor understood by any significant population.

The board will also fill the teaching vacancies for the subjects like Mathematics, Music, Social Science, Hindi for several schools that are managed by Hindu temples, which in turn is by regulated by the Communist Kerala government.

Travancore Devaswom Board is an autonomous body constituted under the Travancore Cochin Hindu Religious Institutions Act XV of 1950. It is entrusted with the task of administrating 1248 temples in the erstwhile princely state of Travancore comprised in the State of Kerala.

These temples were earlier administrated by the ruler of Travancore before the integration of the Princely states of Travancore and Cochin in 1949. The Boards, which are constituted by the state government comprises of members, who are nominated by the government and the local community.

One of the ways in 20 odd year olds can be brainwashed is through movies and a lot of hawala smuggling stuff goes towards celebrating and encouraging a union between a peaceful and a hindu girl. It is very similar to smoking on screens by heroes; one of the reasons why young people pick up smoking

Read this twitter thread for more information on the #swapnasuresh and the murky gold smuggling racket

Her true name is #MumtazIsmail Long back Swapna Suresh wed a muslim guy & converted her to Islam and took this name. However till date she has given Talaq to 2 husbands & is with her 3rd husband.

Information coming in is that it’s not just gold, drugs, weapons smuggling or spying but that Mumtaz was heading a huge sex racket too behind the scenes. The proverbial Honey Trap. Mumtaz Ismail is said to have links to terror groups when she was in Abu Dhabi. So it is logical to assume that she still maintains those links. Even though she ‘lost her job/ left’ as Executive Secretary to the UAE Counsul General she still maintains very cordial ties with them and is an active part of a lot of the Counsel’s social and other activities.

BJP in AP replaced its chief. Kanna Lakshminarayana who is seen as closely working with TDP is replaced with Somu Veerraju who is seen as anti-TDP. Also couple of TDP leaders who jumped to BJP in recent past like Lanka Dinaker were given showcause notice for acting as spies for TDP and giving internal BJP information to CBN. Foxy CBN after destroying AP-BJP in last election now again giving indications he wants to align with BJP once again. By making Somu Veerraju as president, BJP is giving message that the doors are closed completely for TDP. BJP is now banking that unlike Kanna, Somu veeraju along with Pawan Kalyan will consolidate the Kapu vote solidly behind BJP.

Dubious NGOs fund, control archaeology in Tamil Nadu: Towards Secessionism

Dubious NGOs fund, control archaeology in Tamil Nadu: Towards Secessionism

Dr Madhu Kotiya
February 25, 2019

PJ Cherian, Pattanam excavator and who currently heads an NGO PAMA in Kerala, says he had an on-hand documentation of the Kodumal, Alagankulam, Korkai and Pattaraiperumbudur excavated materials from Tamil Nadu (Do ancient Tamilakam sites deserve rediscovery?, The Times of India, Nov.30, 2018). How did his NGO get easy access to the excavated material from these Tamil Nadu sites in government possession? It has enabled Cherian for identifying similarities with Pattanam and Tamil Nadu sites to claim that there is a common link of ‘brotherhood’ (Pattanam, Keezhadi excavated materials similar, says expert, Deccan Chronicle, Oct. 31, 2018). This issue cannot be viewed lightly, especially when Pattanam site has close ties with British Museum. The museum has not actively participated in such excavations elsewhere in India.

Earlier, delivering a lecture at Chennai, PJ Cherian claimed that the excavated materials from Pattanam and Keezhadi are similar. However, he did not present either ceramics, metals or any other remains showing the cultural homogeneity between Pattanam and Keezhadi.

In 2016, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) identified the unbridled foreign funds received by KCHR and cancelled its licence under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 2010. (The New Indian Express, Dec. 8, 2016). We accuse R Sivanantham, deputy director, Tamil Nadu State Dept. of Archaeology who should have been aware that the KCHR was accused in creation of fake government documents, illegal appointments and financial irregularities worth crores. Sivanatham who is also current excavator of Keezhadi invited the controversial Pattanam project director to deliver a lecture where he made dubious claims that there are many similarities between the two sites.

When the Archaeological Survey of India began a probe into alleged unscientific approaches adopted by the KCHR at Pattanam, Amarnath Ramakrishna, the then superintendent archaeologist of the ASI, Bengaluru centre, started investigations into the Pattanam excavations (ASI probe into KCHR’s ‘Pattanam excavations’, Business Standard, Jan. 5, 2016). His findings are not known, but later Amarnath Ramakrishna took up the Keezhadi excavation. Possibly, he prepared a report liked by the CPI(M) and left historians. As Amarnath Ramakrishna examined the Pattanam excavation report and was in-charge of Keezhadi, the Left lobbies have been able to notice striking similarities in antiquarian remains from the two sites.

In April 2018, the Federation of Tamil Sangams in North America (FeTNA) invited Amarnath Ramakrishna to deliver a lecture on the Keezhadi excavations. The ASI denied him permission to participate as guest of honor at this event, possibly because FeTNA publicly supported the cause of ethnic Sri Lankan Tamils in the Sri Lankan civil war. The Catholic Church is heavily involved with the LTTE from the 1970s .

Prof K Rajan of Pondicherry University marshals the cause of Pattanam in Tamil Nadu and associates it with recently excavated sites in the state. Along with Cherian, he links Pattanam with Kodumanal, Thandikudi, Porunthal Keezhadi and other archaeological sites in Tamil Nadu. Rajan is well aware of the duplicity on Pattanam and its Biblical agenda. It now raises serious doubts on sites in Tamil Nadu which he excavated and constantly associates Pattanam. Rajan is also closely associated with British Museum which contains looted treasures of colonized counties.

Pattanam is strongly claimed by its excavator as the landing site of St’ Thomas. Currently Tamil Nadu Catholic priest PJ Lawrence Raj has written many letters to the bishops of the Catholic world seeking brand recognition for St. Thomas in Tamil Nadu whom he claims is largely credited for bringing Christianity to India. Fr. Raj put hard efforts to bring St. Thomas back to the mainstream narrative of Chennai’s Roman Catholic world (An apostle returns: Bringing St. Thomas back to Chennai, The Hindu, Oct.27, 2018). What is now needed are some major archaeological sites in Tamil Nadu to get affiliated with the Apostle.

Tamil Nadu is one of the major areas in India which receives huge foreign funds through NGOs (Independent churches mushroom across India attracting foreign funds, India Today, April 30, 2011 and Christian NGOs top in foreign funding, The Times of India, March 20, 2017). Mathew Cherian, Chairperson of Voluntary Action Network India says, southern states top in receiving foreign funds due to number of Christian organizations, and Tamil Nadu gets chunk of such funds (Foreign funds pour in; 3,000 NGOs get over Rs. 22,000 cr., The Hindu, Aug. 2, 2016). All these orchestrated campaigns by NGOs using history and archaeology to establish Apostle Thomas in Tamil Nadu have to be understood considering these factors.

This seems to be in line with recent change in GJ BJP and its stance about not allowing former congress to join.

I dont understand why the consider Karnataka with them? There is no south India Per se. Every state has unique identity:
1) TN : own world of Dravidian and Tamil Regionalism.
2) Andhra, Telanga : Cosmopolitan state with least regionalism. They support their language.
3) Kerala : Own world of gulf/malabar muslim influence.
4) Karnataka : multi culture with regionalism in Bangalore due to job scenario like Mumbai. Nationalism on par with Andhra/telangana.

So i feel TN politicos and NGO should mind their own and not about South India.

The dream of eelam is very much alive and entrenched in dravidian TN leading to delusions of grandeur.

the seeds of practical separatism were skilfully sown more than two centuries ago and before that it was rome running another scam, "the conversion of myth to truth" the daft tale of thomas coming to India.

the largescale control of the KER/TN/AP coastline and also their domination of local livelihood by the church based entities will soon lead to a NATSEC situation in this region.

With the hans and the pakis so well entrenched in SL which already has an anti India mindset because of the sinhala lot it would be foolish on our part to gloss over the looming jehadi darkness ahead.

Earlier, the eelam attempt was made by the xtian dominated leadership of SL from the island but now the next attempt, one that is much more organised and better funded and with a diversified leadership will start from TN covertly supported by the separatism mindset driven dravidian political parties.

is anyone asking why the hans have (& need) a consulate in chennai and why there are more than 600 Chinese students in TN

A vast landscape of south india is cultivated to be heavily reliant on PDS. In fact, if PDS ever collapses, thousands of villages will literally cease to exist. Entire villages will abandon their houses and migrate towards the cities.

Every election season, candidates literally shower their voters in whiskey and mutton for a week to win their votes and it happens openly in the plantation fields on the village outskirts.

People think that the south is different than the north but it isn't. They are different linguistically and socially but the system isn't fair as the stereotype purports to be. Wealth is still restricted to a narrow group of people. Caste infighting exists. Upper caste act like assholes. Jai bhim people vandalize and intimidate. The middle group(open caste) become the football of these two groups and these people are the ones who migrate to other states of india seaching for relief.
