Up To 60,000 Rioters Were Involved In Attack On Bengaluru Cops And Police Station, Claims Eyewitness
https://swarajyamag.com/insta/up-to-600 ... eyewitness
An eyewitness has been quoted by Hindustan Times as claiming that between 50,000 and 60,000 rioters were involved in the attack on Bengaluru police personnel and a police station after an irate Muslim mob went on a rampage over an Facebook post that they deemed derogatory to Mohammed whom they revere as their Prophet.

The eyewitness who was reportedly part of a civil defence squad assisting the police, also said that, "It was not the police’s fault, it was the public’s fault".

Chhattisgarh: Family being pressurised to get a 9-year-old rape victim married to the Maulana who brutalised her, complaint lodged
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/chhatti ... aipur-fir/
Last week, a 25-year-old Madarsa teacher, Maulana Mohammed Arshad Rehmani, was arrested in Raipur, Chhattisgarh for the alleged rape of a 9-year-old girl. As per reports, the family of the Maulana is pressurizing the family of the victim to marry her to the alleged rapist. They have also been threatening the girl’s family to withdraw the case against their son.

According to reports, the victim’s father has filed a complaint with the Khamardih police station in Raipur, in this regard. The police who have already started probing the rape charges will now also investigate the alleged threats issued to the girl’s family, based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s father.

The police had arrested Maulana Mohammed Arshad Rehmani, who was also a teacher in a Madarsa, on August 9 (Sunday) after he had allegedly raped the 9-year-old girl. The Maulana had been visiting the home of the 9-year-old girl for the past fifteen days to teach her younger sister Arabic. Recently, he began teaching the victim too.

Bengaluru riots: Helpless police officials cried for help, asked seniors for permission to fire at the Islamist mob in self-defence
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/bengalu ... f-defence/
Violent Muslim mobs ran amok, resorting to arson, stone-pelting vandalism on the streets of Bengaluru on Tuesday evening. We reported how the Muslim mob which had entered the basement area of the DJ Halli police station during the violence and reportedly set some 200-250 vehicles on fire. Now, in a video which has surfaced on social media, the helpless police personnel of the KG Halli police station are heard seeking permission from senior cops to fire at the irate Islamist mob in self-defence.

In the video, while the helpless police officers cry and request their senior officers to grant them permission to fire at the approaching bloodthirsty Islamist mobs in self-defence, the senior officer tells his juniors that they could do whatever it needs to take to protect oneself. “Do it. Nobody is in a situation to protect you. You protect yourself first”, the senior officer tells his subordinates.

“Do it. Nobody is in a situation to protect you. You protect yourself first”, the senior officer tells his subordinates.
Though I felt really sad hearing the voice of the officer, also felt a bit proud when he took the orders to fire with a "thank you". Which meant at least he got some confidence back to fire. And three peacefools have been packed off to meet the 72. Two of them are also said to be COVID positive, which means they will be cremated with minimum crowd allowed. So no more dramas using the deadbody of those three. The news of the plight of the police men would now have only hardened the anti-peacefool attitude among the police force.

Looks like there is also a political angle to it. With Congress becoming weak in Karnataka, organisations like SDPI are trying to ween away the Muslim community by trying to act as the sole 'protectors of the faith'. Earlier that job was done by the 'secular' Congress but now SDPI is trying to take over that role.

Meanwhile Deccan Herald has started their usual coverup (and sympathise with the rioters) game.
Bengaluru riots: Tannery Road deserted after curfew. The same area also saw lots of drama during the anti-CAA protest. All said and done the maximum drama they could also do happened to be in the same area. The print edition also has an opinion from an 'anonymous' person who stated that there is lots of unrest in the Muslim community due to the anti-Triple Talaq law, J&K, CAA etc.

Bengaluru violence updates: FIR filed against 17 accused; Sec 144 imposed in some areas till August 15

Bengaluru riots were planned, will recover damages from rioters: Karnataka govt. Need to know what law they would be using. At present they are relying on a Supreme Court ruling which talks about recovering the cost of damages. My understanding is that UP already had such a law in place (may be from the British times itself). The rioters also had destroyed CCTV cameras; a clear indication that they had done some thinking & planning on conducting a riot.

Shringeri: Adi Shankaracharya statue draped with Islamic flag, two youths Rafiq and Sahil detained, locals allege SDPI link
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/adi-sha ... -arrested/
Even as Karnataka is recovering from the riots unleashed by Muslim mobs in Bengaluru, another attempt to flare up communal tension has been reported from Shringeri in Karnataka’s Chikamangaluru district. The town is home to the Daksinamnaya Sharada Peetham, one of the four centres of Advaita philosophy estabilished by Adi Shankaracharya and is considered one of the most sacred places for Hindu faith.

On Wednesday, in an attempt to disturb communal harmony in the area, some miscreants had put up an Islamic flag with text written in Arabic on the statue of Adi Shankaracharya in the holy city of Sringeri.

Today's toilet newspaper is full of partisan articles playing up the usual muslim vitcimhood card by saying that most of the rioters had "lost" their jobs due to the lockdown and the covid situation.

another thread pitches the riots as nothing more than "political" rivalry and tries to dispell the jehadist conspiracy theory by attempting to hijack and change the narrative. All these are well known conmedia propagandist tactics to cover up the real intent.

how does this give them the "right" to riot and damage public property.

mobilizing 50-60,000 peacefools in a short time and in a specific geographic area is not such an easy job.

The rioter's communication protocols have been adapted directly from those perfected in palestine, locally adapted to jehadi conditions in cashmere and the same has now been rolled out on a national scale. This was on vivid display during the shaheen bagh conspiracy and is well worth studying in detail and devising steps to penetrate and monitor.

these jehadist roper as well as roler guys (naxals, extremists and separatists) use protected whatsapp and twitter to coordinate and control their goons by taking advantage of the end to end encryption inherently provided by such apps.

This is an urgent matter of NATSEC and has to been seen in this light if a viable and practical solution is to be found. Many such apps are either designed or easily adapted to foster internal security issues that are always problematic for the law enforcement as well as the intelligence agencies.

as though the rest of the population in bangalore were immune to the same prevailing circumstances and somehow managed to thrive and prosper during the lockdown.

the congi, commie and the BIF conmedia are back to spinning the news of the horrific riots and the specifically targeted rampage to keep the "peacefools" out of the firing line and, as usual, blame the BJP govt for what happened.

@chetakji

there was also the issue of a peacefool tweeting NaMo with a Hindu Diety in a very derogatory manner (which is a made up image just ti hurt hindu sentiments). the reponse from the cong MLA's Nephew was to show case the prophets image with his 9 year old wife (Which is a historical truth and part of the history of the culture).

the Modus Operandi is always the same - publish derogatory stuff/inflammatory speeches (Even in case of kamlesh tiwary or the godhra incident) and when you get back in kind, mobilise a rampaging group and threaten the life of the person in question.

Their MO is fine. However, GoI and HM needs to be come to with a solution that allows police firing. If nehru family can openly kill Indian citizens that were protesting in non violent manner, then I'm sure that there's a way to shoot down violent rioters.

Suvarna News reporters were attacked by the Muslim mob in Bengaluru, not by police: Channel issues statement, calls out lies by Editors Guild
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/suvarna ... bengaluru/
After the Editors Guild of India issued a statement condemning the attack on media personnel in New Delhi and Bengaluru on 11th August, Suvarna News has issued a statement slamming the Editors Guild for spreading fake news.

Suvarna News has clarified that its journalists were not attacked by police as alleged by the Editors Guild, but they came under the attack of Muslim mob that had attacked two police stations in Bengaluru in reaction a Facebook post by Naveen, the nephew of Congress MLA R Akhanda Srinivasmurthy. The mob had alleged that Naveen had caused blasphemy against the prophet Muhammad, and attacked the police forces alleging inaction against Naveen by the police.

During the violence by the Muslim mob where they have attacked policemen and burnt down hundreds of vehicles, several media personnel covering the riot also came under their attack. But in the statement condemning the attack on journalists, the Editors Guild sought to defend the mob and instead blamed police for the attack on the reporters.

The current inaction by the police cuts two ways.

It emboldens the Muslim criminals (I will come to this later).

The other way it slowly erodes the faith in state machinery from the minds of the otherwise law abiding public.

There used to be an Islamism thread long time ago in BRF. One of the simple truths that I learned here from the stalwarts that used to post here is that no need to get entangled into a religious debate or take such side. Treat criminals as criminals, fair and square. That's all.
Over the years I have found this old BRF wisdom to be true.

So, it is appalling that policemen fear to do their job due political pressure or left liberal noise. There will be howls from left liberals once, twice and thrice but not after that.
There is enough in our penal code to put the liberal busy bodies behind the bar if they incite public and hamper police work.

So, yes treat criminals as criminals. All will fall in line. See what's happening in UP.

See it this way.

If a normal criminal by the virtue of his faith gets the impunity to rape, arson, pillage and murder then why is he going to stop? Never will, Don't mistake these elements as Jihadi foot soldiers. They aren't.

Given the very nature of the Muslim society the clergy class can commandeer these criminal types of any kind of public disturbance as they like.

The clergy needs to dealt behind the scene by the intelligence folks. And the criminals need to be accorded the police / legal treatment they deserve.

There is radical Islam no denying, but very small percentage. These are the minuscule number that belt up with RDX or buy a one way ticket to sign up with ISIS.

That said, the second fallout effect is slow loss of faith in the state structures in minds of ordinary people. There will be a tipping point soon.

There was no expectation from the UPA 1 and 2.
But we may in future look back to the NDA 2 and 3 years as the when we squandered away our chance to tame our wayward bureaucracy and judiciary.
Just these two ... everything else ... media, academia, cinema/arts, etc. ... will fall in line and think a hundred times before they harbor anti India forces. Without the patronage of the civil services (the police also by virtue of it) and the judiciary it is not possible for these elements to thrive.

Sorry for the digression.
But the Jinnah wali azaadi type of Islamism exists only in the ganja / charas imbibed louts of JNU.
The mango Abdul is happy if his tag gives him the immunity to rape the fair maiden next door or to burn down the police station up the town square to earn street cred.

Jinnah wali azaadi a.ka, tukde tukde v2.0 is an educated Abdul phenomenon, inspired from JNU louts. How many are they?

We are laying the failure of our termite ridden state structures on the doors of a scaled up Islamism. Scaled up by us.

And Islamist's themselves overestimate their reach.

Wasn't it the Owais fellow saying that they will show us if only police is held back for 15 minutes?

Keeping it fair, the Owais fellow has no idea what is he asking for if the majority also gets a free hand for 15 minutes.
But what's the reality? It is police that protects two bit side lane goondas like Owais and then we cry foul and blame Islamism.

The Bengaluru incident should be a wake up call.

Bengaluru is no Kaliachak in the interiors of a backwater state.

Either the policemen grow a pair of gonads and behave like policemen or then be prepared for a massive civil unrest in coming years.

Roy Sir, Bangalore Police have arrested over 200+ people. Trouble with our system is most of them would already be out on bail and will go on doing their business as the court cases drag on for a decade or more. The DJ Halli area was a rural enclave until 15-20 years ago but now a part of Bangalore, historically even the tony neighborhoods on the edge of the city leading towards Bairasandra had a large muslim and christian population, the later have now been vastly outnumbered by the former. It is impossible to identify 50000 rioters but the Police must patiently wait and pick up the leaders and make examples out of them. Given the organizational ability, rapid mobilization capability , and the sheer numbers of the "peaceful" population mean outside of a XinJang like solution i cannot think of any other way to contain this.

Ambar,

No Sir for me please.

You have just reiterated two primary things from my post.

One. The criminals will get bail. Yes. Who's wrong here? Is it not the judicial system to blame here?

Two, "organizational" ability is a bugbear. Let's get rid of the dhoti shivering, shall we? Even Bajrang Dal types can do that. But yes you are right, go after their leaders, the mob will slink back with their tails tucked.

There cannot be a XinJiang type solution. No need for that either.
Uighur and Han are not related by culture and ethnicity. So, they could do that.

We have ghettos. Sure. And we also wine and dine if situation permits.

In our case, all the lower classes, most of the middle classes will return to the fold if we want them to.
I am talking about 90% of them.
And I am talking about the entire subcontinent.

Question is what are we willing to put on the table to make them take the turn.

Of late BRF has become so pessimist on the Islamism question. Not the sign of a winning side.

I am curious how successful was UP in recovering the damages. From what i can recollect i saw one picture of a "shantidoot" handing over Rs5000 check to the UP govt. In many cases these chaps dont have much that the govt can takeover. On the other hand the leaders/instigators of these groups are ex-MLAs/corporator/ex-gulf wealthy businessman kind who can be targets for expropriation.

As for the pessimism about rising Islamism, there arent many democracies that have been successful in containing them through carrots or sticks. The "peacefuls" are very clear about their long term goals, their fertility rate is usually 2x than other communities, so you have endless supply of cannon fodder. European countries gave them free flats, monthly social benefits, free healthcare etc, but its all come to a naught. India pandered a perverse version of secularism to keep these folks happy and continue to pay a heavy price. At nearly 250 million inside and another half a billion+ on the border, the worry is very real. 30+ years ago riots were common in towns and villages with significant "peaceful" population, but now it is happening over and over again even in some of our safest metros. I fear if this is just the beginning of this template being used all over.

Just my 2 cents on the topic

The problem is that riots happen again and again in the country, which leads to loss of lives and property. According to me, the informer network of local police should be so strong that even those events that happen in a jiffy (as the riots in Bangalore) should be stopped by detaining/ arresting the perpetrators before the momentum is build. And the cases should be taken to a logical and an impartial conclusion swiftly and in a time based manner. Unfortunately for that to happen, India needs police and judicial reforms. And the Police needs to be professionalised and freed from political pressure.

As soon as the first picture started doing rounds (of the morphed pictures) the police should have moved into action and arrested the person (irrespective of its religion domination) and started ground level patrolling. Unfortunately, in my limited knowledge this did not happen.

Just a rant below....

Nowhere in Islam, is it allowed to disrespect the religious sentiments of non-islamic religions. Unfortunately, the ground level leadership in Muslim community has been captured by people who do not follow many of the teachings of Islam or the prophet (pbuh). Ths is something that the muslim community needs to resolve from within and it has to do so fast.

Rant over

India wants peace? Only solution are police and judicial reform. Free the police from political control and let them professionalise. If we can have a professional armed forces, then we can also have a professional police force. The source of recruitment is the same for both the forces. Question is that who will bell the cat?

I agree with the above. I am however, not very optimistic that the police force can be made adequate enough (it will require increases in personel, procedural improvements and host of other things- expenditures will be likely 100 times the current expenditure). However, the bigger problems are poliical subversion of the police force, and the lack of judicial followup of cases once police act. Both of these are issues IMHO wont get solved in the next 10 or 20 years. About the judicairy, it is worse - we need 100 times more judges than we have (cases take 10 to 30 years, and getting worse). Even famous cases with intense public pressure and involving rape and murder (Nirbhaya) take 8 years. Reform there has to come internally, otherwise it may create other problems. Unlike politicains, they cannot be voted out, they can stay for life. They are their own power center now, with almost no oversight. In light of all this, how do you see the planned rioting/incitement situation evolving over the next decade? I cannot see it getting better unfortunately (a very brief response is OK, and only to understand the situation. I am not interested in arguing).

Hi SriKumar

I agree that on ground reforms will take a lot of time.....another method is economic growth....focus the attention of people in wealth creation.

I hate to bring up this example but look at China, government there is focused on economic growth because it knows that if the economy is not growing, then people will be free to create mischief. It's the proverb, An empty mind is a devil's workshop.

But economic growth in India is a whole other issue and comes with its own set of challanges. The biggest is that the government will have to reduce its footprint from the economy and let the private sector take the lead, except education, healthcare, law and order, infrastructure. The government should get out.

Indian businesses are market forces are strong enough to bring about a change for the better, if only the government gets out of the way, examples like telecom (jio and 4g prices), automobile sector, aviation sector are prime examples. The private sector came in, and coupled with market forces, the quality of products and services improved while the costs came down.

To close my argument, we need reforms in multiple areas. And thus time is the perfect time to do it. But it needs a mighty political will, and the question is that does the government has the political will and the heft to reduce the size of the government against multiple forces/ lobbies that will lose their power over the masses and position they currently enjoy? Personally I doubt it, but would love to be proved wrong by the GOI by its action, and not by mere lip service.

+1. This was the root cause. The Islamists think that they have the rights to insult every one, but no one should retailiate. After they got back in kind, what they did was to delete the offensive post they made and spread the response to that message and call for a riot. This has been their modus operandi across the world. Same MO was also used to target Hindus working in Middle East (i.e hurt their religion, and when they respond hide the original post and only show their response) and hound them out of the Sheikdoms.

In a 20+ years old movie Sathya; Paresh Rawal (as Com.Pol of Mumbai City) makes a very punching dialogue. "Underworld kuch bhi kar sakte hein, kyon ki woh kanoon todthe hein. Hum kuch nahi kar sakte hein kyonki kanoon hame rokthi hein" or words to that effect. It is easy to advice police to grow what ever body part. But for a criminal there is nothing to lose as he is any way not bothered about law and courts. A police man is bound to obey the laws and rules and have more to lose (his job etc.). How many of these advisors would be willing to help (financially & legally) a police man if he skips the legal process and take law into his/her own hands?
Ambar wrote:On the other hand the leaders/instigators of these groups are ex-MLAs/corporator/ex-gulf wealthy businessman kind who can be targets for expropriation.
In UP many of the rioters had shops or other business establishments which could be seized. But in Bangalore that may not happen. Looks like many of the rioters would be folks like plumbers, electricians etc who generally operate at an individual level (on call basis). The only way would be to deal with the riot monger leaders. SDPI and PFI seems to be really making in roads into KA (they already have a good presence in KL).
30+ years ago riots were common in towns and villages with significant "peaceful" population, but now it is happening over and over again even in some of our safest metros.
We must also note that even in metros the "unsafe" areas are peacefool ghettos only. Bangalore is now a big city, and these riots still only happen in ghettos. I stay in one part of the city where riots do not happen. Reason; there are no ghettos in this part of the woods. The gentry here are also not the suite boot variety and willing to give back every thing in equal measure.
Kamran Husain wrote:According to me, the informer network of local police should be so strong that even those events that happen in a jiffy (as the riots in Bangalore) should be stopped by detaining/ arresting the perpetrators before the momentum is build.
I tend to agree with you. But in many Indian cities the police force also is not adequate. So at many times "intelligence" machinery etc. are only in paper. And secondly, the police may have ignored the first set of morphed pictures (targetting the Hindus) assuming that Hindus by and large do not indulge in arson and rioting. But when some one (who perhaps knew that police would do nothing on the first morphed picture) retaliated; then things went out of control. All these posts and counter posts are happening in social media; some thing which Indian police do not monitor at a police station level (or not even at Sub.Div and District level). The cyber policing capabilities are very very small and thinned out.
Ths is something that the muslim community needs to resolve from within and it has to do so fast.
Agree with you. To be frank; many non-Muslims have now lost faith in the police and judicial system in India and with the Muslim community. This is going to cause more long term damage, so much so that every one would then take law into their own hands (as they say in movies) :). Bluffs like "protecting a Hindu temple" etc have already been called out. Many non-Muslims also feel that even the tolerant group of Muslims are remaining passive (and not dissuading the more intolerant groups) because they have nothing to lose.

Meanwhile the 'secular' scheme of defending the rioters on religious grounds have started. And this too in a news paper which is said to be a pro-Congress one. The MLA who had his home burnt is from the Congress .

Bengaluru riots: 60 more arrests including BBMP corporator's husband
Residents report damage to vehicles, property. Note that the complainants include people from the religion of the rioters as well.
Bengaluru cops barged in, picked up innocents: Residents. The usual "victim game" has started . The relatives of the people picked up by the police decide whether they were innocent or not . And now the stories of 'police brutality' would start doing the rounds. Again standard modus operandi by this group across the world and India. BTW, KA police seems to use this tactic of midnight raids. During the death of Dr. Rajkumar (an actor) there was rioting in parts of city and the mob even lynched a young police constable. But the city police then formed special teams who without any media glare worked in the background and identified the perpetrators. Most of them were folks like auto rickshaw drivers etc and the slums where they stayed saw these mid night raids. They were then treated quite well at 'undisclosed locations' that many came back with a complete different outlook (mentally and physically).

Bengaluru riots: War of words with Facebook pal 'triggered' offensive post. Note; this report does NOT mention anything about the offensive post which insulted PM Narendra Modi and the Hindu Goddess .

Yes, Kamran. This is what I have been saying.
We are taking an easy way out by painting every every street thug from the Muslim community as an Islamist.
That's not the case.

Reform the judiciary and restructure and retrain the police forces a free hand, most of these things (if not everything) will get sorted out in 6 months.
Not just the usual law and order issues, with assured judicial and police system in place many of the wannabe ISIS Rambo's will be turned in by their own community.

^^ They are strategically increasing their population to overwhelm the Hindus with numbers. All these solutions will be useless in 30 years.

Sanjay,

What are you whining about?
Did the Muslims demand a democracy? Or are the Muslims copying Western model of broken family/social structures? Or did they stop a population exchange after the partition?

And what are you going to do for these supposedly "30" years, except dhoti shivering?

Let's see what you have to offer to get even a single soul back to the Sanatana Dharma. Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

And please do your research, the supposedly population ratio change, if it happens, is going to be a long time.

Get a grip man.

Bengaluru violence accused shifted to Bellari prison
Good tactic. Keep these folks away from the city proper. Note the point on - "It was also reported that the culprits involved in the violence on Tuesday are connected with the culprits responsible for the Padarayanapur violence who are kept in the Parappana Agrahara Jail.". So looks like there is a very active network (perhaps using social media channels) of these Islamist elements spread across the various ghettos in the city, who could quickly trigger riots.

I think it's not possible to organize such a large gathering at such a short notice without some of the techniques used by "BLM" rioters used in USA. In US it was China which organized "BLM" rioters. Role of Chinese embassies in India should be also probed. If possible, we should close Chinese embassy in Kolkata

The only option if Hindus have to survive is full transfer of population at the point of gun -- the unfinished agenda of Partition. Indian military needs to occupy Pakistan and Bangladesh and then enforce full transfer. This is the only solution, not conversion of Muslims to Hinduism or convincing them to lower their birth rate (they will laugh you off)

@sroy ji @sanjayc ji

let me offer an alternative.

India to declare itself as location of all global minority religions. this will automatically remove Xian and peacefools and also cannot be protested by lefts - after all we are saying we want to protect minority religions.

but on a more strategic level, this aligns with sanatan dharma and also gives breathing space for religions and cultures that were decimated by Muslim invasion and christian conversions. this will also highlight the issue of loss of indigenous cultures and an aggregation of all truths of how they ravaged the holy sites + undermined the native cultures.

sanatan dharma will be reborn as a savior of all of these cultures - we are already doing this with tibetans and dsiplaced hindus from neighboring countries.

if EAM can create something of "non aligned movement" not aligned wither with Xian or Muslim grouping to counter the OIC - that would be it.

According to a report published in Jagran, a case has been filed against Mijan, Meraj Ahmad, Samsud, Samuddin, Alamgir, Kamruddin, Mehtab Alam and Gulzar and 25 unidentified men under various charges including assault, attempted murder and many others.

‘Activists’ begin ‘Mask Se Azaadi’ campaign, burn masks claiming they are spreading diseases, not preventing coronavirus outbreak
https://www.opindia.com/2020/08/anti-ma ... chowdhury/
A ‘doctor’ with dubious credentials, Biswaroop Roy Chowdhury, appears to be fanning an anti-mask movement in India. In a video he shared recently on the video-sharing platform bitchute, an individual went on a rant against masks and led others as they burnt the masks. The individual in the video claimed that the masks have an adverse impact on health and called for a movement to shun masks.

In the video, the person claims that there is a grave conspiracy underway at an international level through the use of masks. “I am registering my protest by burning this mask. We will not wear any mask, neither will we pay any fines to the Police,” the man said. He continued, “We are burning the masks. We will not wear any masks and neither will be pay any fines. Because wearing masks lead to the spread of diseases. We are being made to wear masks to shut us up.”

......

In the face of a pandemic, it does appear quite ridiculous to link the mandatory wearing of masks to political matters such as personal rights. Furthermore, it appears to be a case of evidence-free conspiracy mongering. By such proclamations, people appear to be only risking their personal health and the health of others.

How is there is so much ISIS recruiting (and successful at that) in South India?

I mean the entire Gangetic plains comprising UK, UP, BH, WB are high Muslim population areas. We don't have common abduls signing up from these states?

Interestingly even the EJs also have field day in the South.

What are the contributing sociological factors?

Many of us believe that education actually improves logical thinking and makes a 'better person'. But if we look closer; we also can understand that the whole system of education actually decides what is logical thinking and who is a 'better person'. Kerala always had a focus on education; mainly because the state's man power has been the only asset. And people to knew that education was their only way to better life. Perhaps in other parts like North India people did survive, even when not focusing on education.

In Kerala for decades together; it is the minority communities (mainly X'ian) which has been able to have a good grip on the educational system. They would have the maximum number of educational establishments in Kerala. The Muslim community establishments also come quite close. In such a system the belief system of the majority community can slowly be eroded, that of other religions boosted. In Kerala at least 'modern thoughts' are often certified by commies/leftists and their identity is basically that of an anti-Hindu (and not anti-Religion per se).

As for many people joining ISIS; it is money power - mainly Middle East as the source - followed by toleration of religious indoctrination as 'secularism'. With the state generally turning a blind eye as any form of Islamic indoctrination as their right to preach their faith lot of people do get exposed to the violent aspects of the faith. Education also gives a person ability to read books. As the old saying goes; reading a page in book, or making a day's travel; will give you some new experience and knowledge. What you read and where you travel; that is up to you to decide.
