BJP scuttles Congress' attempt to corner FB India chief over government link
BJP scuttles Congress' attempt to corner FB India chief over government link
The moment the proceedings began, BJP members like ex-minister Rajyavardhan Rathore and Nishikant Dubey tore into the Facebook team. They started asking questions about the ideological leaning and political connections of senior Facebook executives, those who are members of Facebook’s Oversight Committee or OC and those involved in deciding Coordinated In-authenticate Behavior (those who FB calls bad actors creating networks of accounts to mislead about who they are and what they are doing) or CIB.
The BJP had plotted each step. If the opposition charge was that Facebook favoured it, the party threw a strong calibrated counter that Facebook had links with the Congress and left and it was soft on those who targeted the BJP and PM Modi.

Was this article by Prof. Gary Bass in NYT posted here? Recall, he is the author of 'blood telegram' that narrates the thuggery of Nixon/Kissinger towards India and their propping up of the genocidal Paki regime in 1971:

If you read Nixon's rabid hatred of India, it ionly confirms US's general colonial approach to India and TSP and all this 'South Asia' BS, make a terror abomination like TSP as a 'front line all-lie' etc. Here are some choise quotes from Nixon:

And here are some quotes from Henry Kissinger, Nobel "piss" prize winner:
“Undoubtedly the most unattractive women in the world are the Indian women,” said Mr. Nixon. “Undoubtedly,” he repeated, with a venomous tone.
He continued, “The most sexless, nothing, these people. I mean, people say, what about the Black Africans? Well, you can see something, the vitality there, I mean they have a little animal-like charm, but God, those Indians, ack, pathetic. Uch.”
Mr. Nixon said: “To me, they turn me off. How the hell do they turn other people on, Henry? Tell me.” Mr. Kissinger’s response is inaudible, but it did not discourage the president from his theme.
The president, in between bitter sparring matches with Mrs. Gandhi about the danger of war with Pakistan, suggested to Mr. Kissinger that his own sexual neuroses were having an impact on foreign policy: “They turn me off. They are repulsive and it’s just easy to be tough with them.”
Mr. Nixon now asked what “do the Indians have that takes even a Keating, for Christ, a 70-year-old” — here there is cross-talk, but the word seems to be “bachelor” or “********.” In reply, Mr. Kissinger sweepingly explained: “They are superb flatterers, Mr. President. They are masters at flattery. They are masters at subtle flattery. That’s how they survived 600 years. They suck up — their great skill is to suck up to people in key positions.”

Last week, thousands of Muslims hit the streets to carry out the annual Muharram procession in Hyderabad defying a court order amidst the coronavirus pandemic in the country. According to the reports, several Muslims took the ‘Bibi Ka Alam’ procession in Hyderabad without adhering to social distancing norms. Many of the participants joined the procession without wearing masks.
The most shocking aspect of the procession was that the Muslims in the city had deliberately defied the order of Telangana High court that had rejected permission to hold such a Muharram procession in Hyderabad.

18 out of 20 members of Facebook’s new ‘oversight board’ meant to ‘regulate content’ linked to George Soros: Read details

An investigation by Sharyl Atkinson of RealClearInvestigations has revealed that 18 of the 20 members of the oversight board proposed by Facebook has ties to liberal Jewish billionaire George Soros. Earlier this year, George Soros had declared a war against nationalists and nationalism, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Facebook had recently announced the formation of an ‘independent’ oversight board to regulate content on its platform and determine whether posts violate the platform’s norms on nudity, hate speech and insensitivity. The investigation has now revealed that 90 per cent of the board’s members “collaborated with or are tied to groups that have received funding from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.”

Bengaluru Archbishop, who criticised CAA, now accused of a multi-million dollar scam: Read the full details
https://www.opindia.com/2020/09/bengalu ... l-details/
In a shocking development, the Karnataka Catholic Christian Association (AKCCA) has accused the Bengaluru Archbishop Peter Machado of being involved in a multi-million dollar scam. Machado, a vocal critic of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), was appointed as the Metropolitan Archbishop of Bangalore by Pope Francis.
Catholic group alleges fraud of $42 million, archbishop denies charges
On August 28, AKCCA has demanded an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into the financial misappropriation of Asha Charitable Trust, which is owned by the archdiocese. The group, in a press conference held at Bangalore, has accused the Trust of siphoning off ₹3 billion ($42 million).
“It is a scam worth three billion, and it needs investigation, “AKCCA leader Raphael Raj informed the media. Raj stated that even though the archdiocese collected funds from foreign donors, it was not utilised as promised. He added that the annual audit report highlighted financial irregularities but the archdiocese ignored it and did not take action against the ‘guilty’.

Hitler and the socialist dream
He declared that 'national socialism was based on Marx' Socialists have always disowned him. But a new book insists that he was, at heart, a left-winger
George Watson
In April 1945, when Adolf Hitler died by his own hand in the rubble of Berlin, nobody was much interested in what he had once believed. That was to be expected. War is no time for reflection, and what Hitler had done was so shattering, and so widely known through images of naked bodies piled high in mass graves, that little or no attention could readily be paid to National Socialism as an idea. It was hard to think of it as an idea at all. Hitler, who had once looked a crank or a clown, was exposed as the leader of a gang of thugs, and the world was content to know no more than that.
German communists he had known before he took power, he told Rauschning, thought politics meant talking and writing. They were mere pamphleteers, whereas "I have put into practice what these peddlers and pen pushers have timidly begun", adding revealingly that "the whole of National Socialism" was based on Marx.
That is a devastating remark and it is blunter than anything in his speeches or in Mein Kampf.; though even in the autobiography he observes that his own doctrine was fundamentally distinguished from the Marxist by reason that it recognised the significance of race - implying, perhaps, that it might otherwise easily look like a derivative. Without race, he went on, National Socialism "would really do nothing more than compete with Marxism on its own ground". Marxism was internationalist. The proletariat, as the famous slogan goes, has no fatherland. Hitler had a fatherland, and it was everything to him.
Yet privately, and perhaps even publicly, he conceded that National Socialism was based on Marx. On reflection, it makes consistent sense. The basis of a dogma is not the dogma, much as the foundation of a building is not the building, and in numerous ways National Socialism was based on Marxism.
Marx and Lenin had seen the right goal, but chosen the wrong route - a long and needlessly painful route - and, in destroying the bourgeois and the kulak, Lenin had turned Russia into a grey mass of undifferentiated humanity, a vast anonymous horde of the dispossessed; they had "averaged downwards"; whereas the National Socialist state would raise living standards higher than capitalism had ever known. It is plain that Hitler and his associates meant their claim to socialism to be taken seriously; they took it seriously themselves.
For half a century, none the less, Hitler has been portrayed, if not as a conservative - the word is many shades too pale - at least as an extreme instance of the political right. It is doubtful if he or his friends would have recognised the description. His own thoughts gave no prominence to left and right, and he is unlikely to have seen much point in any linear theory of politics. Since he had solved for all time the enigma of history, as he imagined, National Socialism was unique. The elements might be at once diverse and familiar, but the mix was his.
So the socialist intelligentsia of the western world entered the First World War publicly committed to racial purity and white domination and no less committed to violence. Socialism offered them a blank cheque, and its licence to kill included genocide. In 1933, in a preface to On the Rocks, for example, Bernard Shaw publicly welcomed the exterminatory principle which the Soviet Union had already adopted. Socialists could now take pride in a state that had at last found the courage to act, though some still felt that such action should be kept a secret.
A few years later, in 1935, a Social Democratic government in Sweden began a eugenic programme for the compulsory sterilisation of gypsies, the backward and the unfit, and continued it until after the war.
The claim that Hitler cannot really have been a socialist because he advocated and practised genocide suggests a monumental failure, then, in the historical memory. Only socialists in that age advocated or practised genocide, at least in Europe, and from the first years of his political career Hitler was proudly aware of the fact. Addressing his own party, the NSDAP, in Munich in August 1920, he pledged his faith in socialist-racialism: "If we are socialists, then we must definitely be anti-semites - and the opposite, in that case, is Materialism and Mammonism, which we seek to oppose." There was loud applause. Hitler went on: "How, as a socialist, can you not be an anti-semite?" The point was widely understood, and it is notable that no German socialist in the 1930s or earlier ever sought to deny Hitler's right to call himself a socialist on grounds of racial policy. In an age when the socialist tradition of genocide was familiar, that would have sounded merely absurd. The tradition, what is more, was unique. In the European century that began in the 1840s from Engels's article of 1849 down to the death of Hitler, everyone who advocated genocide called himself a socialist, and no exception has been found.

Guys, any latest update on Amit Shah? Last week, I read he was to be discharged from AIMS after his post COVID care, but no news since then. To me, more than anything else, its the health of the BJP big wigs like Amit Shah that concern me more to ccounter BIF designs.
Call me a conspiracy theory buff, but just as in the case of collusion between TSP and BIF in attacking India on CAA, Delhi riots, and 370 abrogation, I see something sinister between Chincoms and BIF.
Reason being that I don't see what Chincoms gain by all this aggression against India after all the friendship effort that ModiJi invested in them, except possibly that they want to pliant India.
So when you see the morphing of "Siachen surrender" doves to "ModiJi is a 56-inch chested coward for not attacking Chincoms" hawks like crook law, the game is becoming clearer to me.
One can fault ModiJi for cozying up too much to Xi Jin Ping, or for that matter bringing too much of his personal rapport and charm in his conduct of foreign policy, but on Chincom aggression, he is taking a judicious blend of caution and risk, diplomacy and counter attack etc.
When you take into account the overall balance of power between Chincoms and India, I commend Indian govt under ModiJi for the trajectory they have chosen in dealing with Chincoms.
However, if you see the politics at play, it has nothing to do with actual Chincom aggression. It is more about how to show case ModiJi and BJP in bad light.
To see this, note that even after India took the heights in the southern bank of the Pangono Tso, Pappu slaves haven't relented. They still keep citing ModiJi's post Galwan speech as justifying Chincom aggression. They will cite all kinds of hawkish things ModiJi could have done, but din't. They still keep citing ModiJi's post Galwan speech as justifying Chincom aggression. They will cite all kinds of hawkish things ModiJi could have done, but din't. Heck, even I can say ModiJi should have taken Beijing.
There is no question on that.

Germany announces shift in approach to China relations | DW News
Germany has announced a new blueprint for relations with Asia, calling in particular for 'diversity' in its focus in the region. That's being interpreted as an effort to lessen its dependence on China. A move that would almost certainly have consequences for German businesses.

MHA Suspends FCRA License Of Four Christian Associations; Two US Based Christian Donors Under Scanner
t should be noted that the six NGOs whose FCRA license have now stand suspended include four Christian associations. These are Ecreosoculis North Western Gossner Evangelical in Jharkhand, the Evangelical Churches Association (ECA) in Manipur, Northern Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jharkhand and New Life Fellowship Association (NLFA) in Mumbai.
Furthermore, at least two United States (US) based Christian donors are also under MHA's scanner. These are Seventh Day Adventist Church and Baptist Church. A probe is presently being pursued into their funding activities in India.
It should be noted that earlier in 2017, another powerful US-based Christian donor called Compassion International, was forced to stop operations in India after the MHA had found that it had funded NGOs which encouraged religious conversions

Hindu religious organizations themselves need to join this fight by turning themselves into knowledge centers instead of bhajan mandlis. Tons of hard earned Hindu money is being siphoned off by education places run by this EJs attack Hindus. Hindu mandirs are hardly awakening their followers about this scams.

TMC losing ground rapidly, finds survey
New Delhi: Ground assessment done in Bengal for over six months by Prashant Kishor’s political strategist firm, Indian-Political Action Committee (I-PAC), has found that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is facing major anti-incumbency. I-PAC, which has been engaged by the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC, has found that Banerjee’s MLAs are facing such massive anti-incumbency that the party may find it difficult to retain power if the current situation continues. The assessments were done between March and August 2020. Assembly elections in West Bengal are scheduled for around April-May next year.
I-PAC, according to information accessed by The Sunday Guardian, did three “ground assessments” across the 294 Assembly seats of the state. The first assessment was done just before the national lockdown was imposed in March; the second one was carried out in June, while the last one was done in the third week of August.
As per these reports, the TMC, which was doing “good” on 110 seats in the survey that was carried out in March, is now doing “good” on 78 seats. In the 2016 Assembly elections, the TMC had won 211 seats.
