Lockheed Martin is pitching (informally) the CH-53K King Stallion to the Indian Navy.

The stallion is a very old chopper, LM has to stop pitching these outdated platforms to our forces.

The CH-53K King Stallion is the latest iteration of the CH-53 Super Stallion.

IIRC, the King Stallion did have her developmental challenges and it has not been smooth sailing with the platform.

I don't know where the Indian Navy will employ this. Would our upcoming IMRH not be enough, that this monstrosity is being pitched?

HEMRL Thermobaric bomb

Basically, instead of a new casing, they re-purposed the 1000 lbs MC with this TB filling.

And modern fuzing.

Good idea as the blast is 1.6*TNT.
So high brisance with thermal effects.

ARDE should try out this PBX as a filling for 155mm shells.

PBX is insensitive explosive and reduces potential for adiabetic expansion in the shell leading to barrel burst.

Are these thermobarbaric bombs scaled down versions of the MoM and DaD bombs?

Sorry, what are those? To me, it looks like using the casing for 1000 MC bombs.
And filling with PBX for TB effect.

Finally got some time to upload the pics I had taken in Aero India. It's not a lot, especially of the data sheets ramana sir had asked for, since I was sick on the day I went and could barely cover all the stands. Hopefully, there is something of value from these pics.

From a small display of just Su-30 tyres, MRF has now seriously developed their muscle (pun intended :)) to cover most aircraft in IAF service. Hopefully, they have also been able to establish a test and certification facility in India. Last I recall, they had to get their tyres certified somewhere in Europe.

The Brazilian gang. Curiously, they had their engine on for most of the day, perhaps for air conditioning. It was a hot day. But wouldn't A/C be powered by the APU? (I assume it has one)

The badass of the IAF, with a formidable loadout of 2xR-27ET, 2xR-27ER, 2x R-73, 2x RVV-AE, 1x Brahmos, 1 x LGB, 1x LDP. One can only imagine what more can be added in lieu of the heavy Brahmos.

I couldn't get the individual spec sheets in the wall behind the display, but the photo is hi-res and cliking on this link will open the full pic. Sharing the medium size image inline so it is viewable in a mobile screen as well.

Please do watch this -

The IAF has been pushing for 6 Netra Mk1A for a while now, apart from the A319/320 based ones that are in the works.
