extracts
a Hindu temple was allegedly demolished and sold for a shopping mall in Karachi in Pakistan, which has led to tensions within the community.

A video, accessed by News18, shows the Hindu temple – Mari Mata located at Soldier Bazar in Karachi, razed on Friday night by an unknown builder to make way for a shopping plaza.

According to sources, the land was sold for Rs 7 crore to a shopping plaza promoter but the temple was bulldozed in the presence of police personnel at midnight.

Dacoits strike place of worship with rocket launchers in Pakistan's Sindh
extracted
In yet another attack on Hindus, a group of dacoits targeted a place of worship owned by members of the Hindu community in Kashmore town of Sindh, Pakistan. The armed intruders looted the temple and attacked worshippers, causing panic and fear among the community, reported Pakistan's The Dawn.

The dacoits fired rocket launchers at the temple and damaged adjoining properties, the report said, adding that they also looted valuables from the temple. The attack took place in the Ghouspur area of Kashmore.

According to a police official, dacoits targeted a place of worship by firing "rocket launchers" during an attack. It was reported that the place of worship was closed at the time of the incident as it only opens once a year for religious services organized by the Bagri community.

It's being said Shehbaz Sharif is stepping down to make way for return of Nawaz Sharif to power. But how has Nawaz mended fences with the army, to overcome their past bad blood towards him? He's the one who attended Modi's inauguration, and has talked about the need to end army control. So how are army going to coexist with him? Is there new some understanding reached with Nawaz that he won't try to challenge the military establishment?

They could do it by sending us the terrorists instead, and to limit anti-India terror activity. But then they won't have a job soon.

Seema Haider's Pakistan Army, ISI link mystery deepens: Multiple PUBG contacts, fluent English
Seema Haider, who illegally entered India and married her Indian partner this year, had earlier kept in touch with people mostly from Delhi-NCR through the online game PUBG, Uttar Pradesh ATS sources said
Himanshu Mishra, New Delhi, Jul 18, 2023

Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who illegally entered India to marry her Indian lover Sachin Meena, was previously in touch with other people in India through the online game PUBG, according to Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) sources.
She is under the radar of the ATS and Intelligence Bureau (IB) over her possible connections with the Pakistan Army and the country's intelligence agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
During questioning by the ATS on Monday, it was revealed that Seema Haider had contacted people mostly from Delhi-NCR through PUBG.
ATS sources said that Seema Haider was asked to read a few lines in English. She not only read well, but the manner in which she read them out was impeccable.
Seema Haider, who illegally entered India via the Nepal border in May, is now living with Sachin Meena in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district.
Seema Haider's mobile data, which was earlier deleted, will be sent to the forensic lab.
According to details, Seema Haider's mobile data could uncover crucial information on sensitive matters, as her uncle and brother are associated with the Pakistan Army.

how many "seema haiders" are already there in India "married" to mutts like the noida guy

the way in which that this paki jihadin sailed in with 4 brats in tow exposes a massive hole in the border and why is it that we have not closed this security hole in the many decades past

nepal can no longer be trusted, because it's culture, demographics, and the very nature of its govt is quite different from what it once may have been, several decades ago

the cheen and the pakis are pretty much running the show in nepal, so why do we have this festering sore of an "open" border

this is certainly not the first time some "seema haiders" or even many "salman haiders" have brazenly walked in

Gautam saar,

the pakis have brought this calamity down upon their own heads

running with the hare and hunting with the hounds requires a very fine technique in the art of tightrope walking

the pakis have become lazy, complacent, and careless, and moreover, the biggest mistake they made is to believe that they have divine sanction to best the satan and their book alone will see them through every mishap and disaster

how did the pakis ever forget that satan has his own book too.....and that includes his big fat cheque book.

The pakis brazen and taqiya fed overconfidence and an unwarranted familiarity that bred contempt while dealing with a dangerous and unforgiving superpower like the amrikis, led to the hubris that resulted in the pakis openly rejoicing in amriki fiasco in afghanistan, even while claiming that they had a major role to play in the departure of the amrikis

the dumb pakis still believe in the self created myth that they were the sole reason for the Russian defeat in afghanistan

Now it's payback time and their IMF travails is just the beginning.

The culinary institute is still very active among the talibs on both sides of the durand

Butt-hurt Pakjabi RAPEtte inner burning on display... and of course the Mudi shud rejine

Yawn - Moon and power
LAST Friday, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched a rocket meant to land on the moon. Chandrayaan-III is supposed to land on the south pole of the moon next month.

Chandrayaan-III may also crash when it tries to accomplish the harder part of its mission and land. Luckily for the Indian space programme, there is more than a month between its launch last Friday and the verdict on its success and failure next month. This month, naturally, is the time for all sorts of nationalist self-congratulations, and indeed, most in India are participating in the exercise.

If it succeeds, India will become the fourth nation in the world to have successfully landed a spacecraft on the surface of the moon.

To have carried out such an expensive and high-visibility mission successfully in a country that is not as rich or innovative as the US deserves genuine praise and congratulations.

If anything, it reveals that engineers and scientists from India or South Asia  are just as qualified to undertake complex missions as their counterparts in Western nations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always supported space exploration. In this, he is very similar to other autocratic rulers, from Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to others in China, Saudi Arabia and even the Gulf nations.

India has been lifting people out of poverty in the past five years (although there is some scepticism about the figures supplied by the government). Even with those numbers, over 200 million people in India remain in the throes of multi-dimensional poverty, which looks at multiple indices to measure poverty rather than only income. The country continues to struggle with a high infant mortality rate and inadequate provision of basic services such as sanitation and clean drinking water. A democracy weakened by Modi’s routine onslaughts on an independent media, judiciary and bureaucratic appointments may have had some other ideas regarding the use of money than becoming the fourth country to do what others accomplished years ago. :((

This is ironic because the post included a clip in which a Pakistani politician explained why it was no longer necessary to focus on sighting the moon with the naked eye when science could predict with great accuracy the appearance of the new moon. While the intention was to shame Pakistan, the ironic result was to illustrate precisely why India’s space programme may be less about real innovation and new frontiers and more about Modi’s ego and desire for a militant Hindu nation.

Just like the new moon does not require nightly vigils and guesswork anymore, so too is the fourth country landing a spacecraft on the moon (if it does) less of a milestone than Hindutva nationalists think. If the space race was truly a race, let’s remember that fourth place does not get a medal.

Situationer: How do you solve a problem like Kabul?
Tahir Khan, July 18, 2023
THE forceful message conveyed to Kabul by the Corps Commanders Conference on Monday captures the disappointment within the top brass over Afghanistan’s seeming unwillingness to stop the flow of militants and ammunition across Pakistan’s western border.
While the seeds for such a rebuke were sown on July 12, when militants staged an organised attack on a military garrison in Zhob, Balochistan, the concerns highlighted by the military are not new and have been festering ever since the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) first re-emerged after a hiatus of nearly three years.

A security official told Dawn that the Zhob attack was carried out by five “highly trained and well-equipped terrorists.”
“These terrorists had night vision scopes and the latest gadgets with American weapons,” he said, adding that the attackers seemed to be planning a hostage situation — along the lines of the Muslim Bagh attack in Balochistan, that claimed the lives of six soldiers and at least one civilian earlier this year.
It is no secret that following the hurried withdrawal of US-led coalition forces from Afghanistan, the Afghan Taliban scavenged all the hardware left behind by their erstwhile foes and put it to use.
Photos and videos of Taliban fighters swaggering around Kabul and other areas, dressed from head to toe in US-origin fatigues and brandishing American-made automatic weapons dominated the pages of many publications in the aftermath of the Taliban takeover.
So it is not too great a leap to believe that the TTP, who have spiritual and operational linkages with the Afghan Taliban, had managed to arm themselves with the same spoils of war that fighters of the Islamic Emirate have been using.
And there is little question of TTP fighters seizing these arms by force, given the bonhomie that exists between the two Taliban factions.
Officials say the TTP confidently uses such weapons in its attacks against Pakistani security forces in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the merged tribal districts.
They believe that the availability of such advanced weapons has created significant challenges for the security forces in combating terrorism in these parts of Pakistan.
Security sources also believe that the Zhob attack “clearly indicating involvement from the Afghan side”.
While responsibility for the attack was claimed by a little known group calling itself the Tehreek-i-Jihad Pakistan (TJP), there was some consternation among TTP circles about the veracity of the claim.
Asad Afridi, who heads the TTP chapter in Dera Ismail Khan, had challenged the TJP’s claim and insisted that it was the TTP that was behind the attack. This stance, however, was swiftly disowned by TTP’s central spokesperson, Mohammad Khorasani, who issued a counter-statement acknowledging the claim of TJP and terming them “a brother organisation”.

Why TTP is opening another front in Balochistan
Muhammad Akbar Notezai, July 15, 2023

THE recent militant attack in the Zhob town of Balochistan, where the Pakistan military lost nine soldiers, was one of the latest in a string of attacks targeting security forces in areas that were previously considered relatively free of militancy.
This is a separate phenomenon from the insurgency that plagues the Baloch-majority areas of the province; outfits linked to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its offshoots are now stepping up their attacks against security personnel in the province’s northern parts — traditionally considered Pakhtun-majority areas.

Not really. For that purpose the ghazis-for-rent next door are every willing and easier to control.

As others have indicated it was a variety of reasons. Hurry was one, another was they left them behind for the ANA partly hoping they would halt the talibunnies for some time, at least enough to cover their retreat/withdrawal. Part of it was a bribe finalised during the withdrawal negotiations, to guarantee safe exit.

Having said that the US very well knew the 'caliber' of the ANA... at least the on-field commanders who actually were stationed there. Quite a few veterans & analysts (including Indians) had warned not to leave the equipment behind as it would simply be handed over to the talibs, and the Pakis.

CalvinH ji,

It would have cost the amrikis more to take it back with them than leave it behind.

so, they were always going to leave them behind but only a few were damaged because of the panic in which the amrikis took to their heels but the pakis and the talibs stampeded them in a well formulated plan to also get the amrikis to abandon their war materiel

Many years ago, there was a view that India was interested in buying the MRAPS that the amrikis would be leaving behind in afghanistan and these cost between 1/2 to 1$million per piece, depending on the configuration.

the pakis knew that they could steal what they wanted from the taliban for free and they also new that India wanted the MRAPS

There was a jihadi game plan stitched across a broad front and it only succeed at first and that too, in the short term.

The pakis and the talibs are now paying the price for their treachery and the pot is now being actively stirred by the culinary institute. The durand issue is the one major chink in the paki national narrative that makes the paki jernails tremble the most in their “jutti”.

In the immediate aftermath of the amriki departure, huge quantity of weapons, ammo, vehicles and all intelligence gathered by the afghans were spirited away quickly by the pakis

Chetak Ji, My point was that US Armed 1.5 L ANA soldiers (many of which were just on books) including Special forces and they were expected to defend against the Talibans when US was withdrawing. US didnt withdrew in one day and ANA was fighting when they left. The arms were surrendered by the ANA Soliders. Bulk of special forces soldiers abandoned their $$ gears and ran away. Rest negotiated with the Taliban and gave the gear to Taliban.

In my very humble opinion leaving behind a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions will serve to destabilize this area for a long time. This act was not an accident but an event that was well planned. The weapons may be used against each one of the neighbors (China, Pakistan, India, the Stans or Iran) or Afghanistan itself, where one warlord will fight another. Keeping the area in turmoil is in Khan's interest.

I have a slightly different view biraders,

Its good that US ran from Afg, despite some short term nuisances for India which we seem to be dealing with reasonably well at the moment, its has enabled the US to sucker itself into the Ukraine war, has weakened Europe and helped the Middle East breath easy, Saudi to distance itself from the west, and generally accelerated the world towards multipolarity. The image of mighty amreeka is now a thing of the past for more people. The best part is, Pak's geographic dividend has disappeared overnight. Sometimes asking why is not needed, just sit back and enjoy !

tortured and shot, most of them buried now and the few remaining are wishing that they were too giving company to their halaled jihadi brethren.

US didnt withdrew in one day and ANA was fighting when they left. The arms were surrendered by the ANA Soliders. Bulk of special forces soldiers abandoned their $$ gears and ran away. Rest negotiated with the Taliban and gave the gear to Taliban.

CalvinH ji,

most of the ANA types were fighting for their own survival, desperately awaiting the promised ameriki air support which never came

One often wondered what their last words were

This is a strategically engineered test case to oppose the CAA

This will be picked up and highlighted by the gora media

Her very entry into India was done just to put the Modi govt in a tight spot on the CAA issue

just deport her back to nepal and be done with it

It's nepal's problem not India's

Agree with everything you said, except the CAA part. This will be picked up by the western white media and played up. As you said, just deport her to Nepal and wash our hands off. Let the Nepalese figure out what to do with her 8)

Seema is a P@ki Muslim who converted to Sanaatana Dharma/Hinduism AFTER she came to India. CAA applies only to P@ki non-Muslims. So, the law as it stands, will be inapplicable to her :P
