This is a story that is unfolding. Dimran Khan Niazi is currently being moved to Kot Lakhpat Jail. I hope he will be able to ensure his evening supply of Charas quickly. Visit Paki newspapers for updates.

OK, finally where would he end up at the end of Kot Lakhpat incarceration, Jeddah or Jahannum?

It's the same precise cycle all over again in TSP, isn't it? Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

SCMP Reports: Pakistan ex-PM Imran Khan given 3-year prison sentence: ‘Don’t sit at home silently’, he urges supporters
Khan’s political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a statement they had already filed another appeal to the Supreme Court earlier on Saturday.

The conviction came just a day after Pakistan’s High Court had temporarily halted the district court trial. It was not immediately clear why the trial had proceeded despite the High Court decision.

Though I'm 1+month late to post it, but still this news article deserves to be here for records.........

Ahmadi Muslims were the the financier & brain for creation of Bakistan during partition. Today they are categorized as Non- Muslims & can't even celebrate the festivals. Karma.............

Another case registered in Punjab against members of Ahmadi community for sacrificing animals on Eidul Azha
Imran Gabol Published July 4, 2023.

Another case has been registered in Punjab against members of the Ahmadi community for sacrificing animals of Eidul Azha, it emerged on Tuesday.

The first information report, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, was registered at Sialkot’s Qila Kalar Wala police station earlier today. The case was registered under Section 295-A (insulting religious beliefs) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

This comes despite a 2022 judgement of the Supreme Court, ruling that obstructing non-Muslims from practicing their religion within the confines of their place of worship was against the Constitution.

In the FIR, the complainant said that he was a resident of Daska and had travelled to Kot Agha on June 29 — the first day of Eidul Azha — in connection with communal sacrifice of animals.

He said that around 8:30am he saw that two members of the Ahmadi community were doing qurbani (sacrifice) on the street facing their haveli (mansion).

He said that the Ahmadi community were forbidden from performing Islamic rituals and called for taking action against them.

Earlier, at least five similar FIRs were registered across Punjab against the Ahmadi community members for sacrificing animals on Eidul Azha. All five cases were registered under Section 298-C of the PPC, which elaborates on the penalty for persons of the Ahmadi group calling themselves Muslim or preaching or propagating their faith.

Two of the cases were registered at the Saddar Gojra police station in Toba Tek Singh, while one each was registered at the Saddar Shahkot police station in Nankana Sahib, Roshanwala police station in Faisalabad and Badami Bagh police station in Lahore.

After the cases were registered, a suspect was arrested in Toba Tek Singh and another was picked up from Lahore’s Badami Bagh area.

HRCP condemns ‘judicial harassment’

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), meanwhile, said it “strongly condemns the judicial harassment of the Ahmadi community, most recently in the shape of cases filed against them by individuals with far-right political links for engaging in ritual sacrifice during Eidul Azha”.

In its condemnation issued on Monday, the HRCP said, “No progressive society can afford to be held hostage to the whims of religious extremists in this manner.”

The commission also cited the 2022 SC judgement and demanded that all cases as those registered against members of the Ahmadi community over sacrificing animals on Eidul Azha must be immediately quashed.

SC judgement

The SC judgement, penned by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, said, “To deprive a non-Muslim (minority) of our country from holding his religious beliefs, to obstruct him from professing and practicing his religion within the four walls of his place of worship is against the grain of Constitution and repugnant to the spirit and character of Islamic Republic”.

The order stated: “It also deeply bruises and disfigures human dignity and the right to privacy of a non-Muslim minority, who like all other citizens of this country enjoy the same rights and protections under the Constitution.

“Bigoted behaviour towards our minorities paints the entire nation in poor colour, labelling us as intolerant, dogmatic and rigid. It is time to embrace our constitutional values and live up to our rich Islamic teachings and traditions of equality and tolerance.”

The verdict was issued in connection with a case registered against an Ahmadi community member for “styling their place of worship as a mosque and displaying Shaair-i-Islam on the walls inside their place of worship”.

Mollick ji,

but in India........we are uber tolerant only, and yet we never see our own dalits being discriminated against and like Don Quixote, we go charging at jihadi windmills to generously set things right for a traitorous ungrateful community that wholeheartedly supported the pakis and was at the forefront in leading the partition of India

Under Indian law, the ahmadi community is officially recognized as Muslim, the result of a landmark judgment by the Kerala High Court in 1970, which determined that the sect could not be declared heretic since it upheld, according to the court, the core tenets of Islam.

With what authority can Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board issue fatwa declaring Ahmadiyyas as non-Muslims: Centre govt questions AP govt

https://indianexpress.com/article/polit ... s-8853507/

July 22, 2023

The Ministry of Minority Affairs has intervened in a case of persecution against the Ahmaddiya Muslim community in which the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board passed a resolution calling the community ”kafirs” and “not a Muslim’”. In a strongly worded letter to the Andhra Pradesh government, the Minority Affairs Ministry called the Waqf Board’s resolution a hate campaign which “could have ramifications across the country.”

“A representation dated 20.7.2023 has been received from the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, vide which it has been stated that certain Waqf Boards have been opposing the Ahmadiyya Community and passing illegal resolutions declaring the community to be outside the fold of Islam,” said the letter, which has been sent to Chief Secretary Andhra Pradesh K.S.Jawahar Reddy asking him to intervene in the matter.

“This constitutes a hate campaign against the Ahmadiyya community at large and the Waqf Board neither has the jurisdiction nor authority to determine religious identity of any community including Ahmadiyyas,” the letter added.

In 2012, the Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board passed a resolution declaring the entire Ahmadiyya community as non-Muslim. This resolution was challenged in the Andhra Pradesh High Court which issued an order for interim suspension of the resolution.

“However, despite High Court orders, Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board (present divided state) has issued another proclamation under the signature of its Chairman…,’’the ministry observed.

The Waqf Board passed another resolution in February this year stating that “In consequence to the Fatwa of Jamiat Ulema, Andhra Pradesh dated May 26th, 2009, the `Quadiani community’ is proclaimed as `kafir’ and not a Muslim.”

A sub-sect of Sunni Muslims, the Ahmadiyyas, who emerged as an Islamic revivalist movement in Punjab in the 19th century, are often referred to as ‘Quadianis’ – a slur – particularly in Pakistan where they have been declared non-Muslims.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat India said in its representation to the Centre, that the resolution was a “clear violation of our rights” and such activities by Waqf Boards were discriminatory and a “grave violation of the Waqf Act and Indian law and constitutes a hate campaign against us.’’

and yet we have never called out the hate campaign unleashed against the Indian state during partition by these ahmedis, many of whom brazenly stayed back in India during and after the partition times, and today, when the jihadis have declared them kaffirs, they come running to other kaffirs, begging for their help

The GoI should use the opportunity to defang the Waqf.. at the same time it should attack on another front by getting the Ahmediyyas to approach the supreme court.

Of course it will probably happen that the two groups will then decide the temporarily cover the hatchet (can't bury it or the ASI will do some digging to expose them both) till the time the original kafirs are first finished off..

Rsatchi ji,

interestingly, the ahmadiyas need the kaffir spine and the kaffir teeth to stand up and bite back, and also suddenly, they believe in the constitution, as well as, the judiciary of India, to resolve their intra sectarian differences and restore their doctrinal identity to status quo ante

This is so far out and way beyond the realm of their usual hypocrisy

Something doesn't jell here with this Ahmedi business. So, allow me to elaborate. Maybe, some of you learned maulaners may shine light.

Our RoPers go out of their way to accommodate their brethren from nieghbouring countries (for ex. BDs, Rohingyas) Just so that they can increase the size of their flock. A bigger flock gets them more rioters to run amok on a Friday afternoon and more clout at the ballot box in each election.

So, why did the AP waqf board target Ahmedis and proclaim them as non-Muslims? Won't that reduce their numbers?

I hope NaMo/AS/BJP goes after the waqf act, dissolves/abrogates it and derecognises each and every waqf board, in each & every state

The secret is now spilling out into western media headlines:

US State Dept Cables Show Pressure to Have Imran Ousted as PM

https://theintercept.com/2023/08/09/imr ... ne-russia/

PM Imran was not aligned with Ukraine war, so Washington saw a need for him to be removed.

THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT encouraged the Pakistani government in a March 7, 2022, meeting to remove Imran Khan as prime minister over his neutrality on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to a classified Pakistani government document obtained by The Intercept.

The meeting, between the Pakistani ambassador to the United States and two State Department officials, has been the subject of intense scrutiny, controversy, and speculation in Pakistan over the past year and a half, as supporters of Khan and his military and civilian opponents jockeyed for power. The political struggle escalated on August 5 when Khan was sentenced to three years in prison on corruption charges and taken into custody for the second time since his ouster. Khan’s defenders dismiss the charges as baseless. The sentence also blocks Khan, Pakistan’s most popular politician, from contesting elections expected in Pakistan later this year.

Great moments for LAND OF PURE!!! ( In terms of sheikh Rahsid it is loss of Islam)

FT - India beat Pakistan 4-0 to set up a semi-final clash against Japan. India top the final standings, Pakistan fail to secure a semis berth.

A brace from skipper Harmampreet Singh through penalty corners helped India outclass arch-rivals Pakistan 4-0 in their last league stage game as the hosts finished at the top of the final standings. The defeat pushed down Pakistan to 5th spot and missed the semis berth. India will face Japan in the semi-final, while Malaysia face South Korea in the other semi-final. Jugraj SIngh and Akashdeep Singh scored a goal each for the hosts in the match.

Secret Pakistani Cable: U.S. Urged Ouster of Prime Minister Imran Khan
RYAN GRIM
AUG 9, 2023
About two months ago, you may remember, I interviewed former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who alleged that while he was in office, he saw a cable from his ambassador to the United States describing a March 2022 meeting with State Department official Donald Lu, in which Lu, Khan alleged, urged Khan be ousted over his neutrality in the war in Ukraine.

The State Department has vigorously rejected the allegation, even recently mocking the question from the podium. We have now obtained that cable, and in a story with my colleague Murtaza Hussain, we’re publishing it in full. I also read it in full here on today’s Counter Points — full show here — so you can clip and share the video to get around censorship regimes in Pakistan if that’s where you are.

Interestingly the authors are claiming the source is someone inside Pak military which means PTI is down but not out. There is still some backing in the military for PTI. Inshallah this will lead to more chaos and damage to the economy.

It may again indicate that military are not absolutely united on the subject of Imran Khan.
Crore Commanders may be enjoying their pizza empires, etc -- but rank-and-file may not feel invited to the party.

Imran has more charisma than past Pakistani leaders, and may still enjoy some loyalty from certain pockets in the army.

LEAKED Secret “Cypher” Catches Biden Red Handed In Ouster Of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan

August 9, 2023

Last month Revolver News broadcast live Dr. Darren Beattie’s interview with ousted and embattled former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Beattie pointed out the striking parallels between Trump and Khan–both international superstar celebrities in the 80s, both defeated two corrupt political dynasties to score an historic populist victory in the 2010s, both hated by their respective deep states, both ousted from power from their respective deep states, and both are face multiple indictments from a corrupt justice department controlled by political enemies.

Today while returning home,I spoke to a cab driver.
He said: “Since Modi has come to power,he has destroyed my country. Economy is in tatters. Corruption and Poverty everywhere. Army is like beggars. Governance is mess.
I asked, “Which country are you from?
He said: “Pakistan!”

Just another day in lahore

Yawn - Day-long power outage: Medics conduct operations by torchlight at Ganga Ram
The doctors and patients had to face a great deal of inconvenience when the electricity supply to the operating theatres of the Sir Ganga Ram hospital remained suspended for a day due to alleged mismanagement.

The incident occurred when the doctors were conducting operations and they had to use torch and other ways (# Oil lamp?) to complete the procedures.

A video clip showing the surgeons doing operation in dimlight later went viral on social media.

The incidence of mismanagement, particularly of suspension of electricity supply to the major government hospitals, continued to report in Lahore.

Earlier, a similar incident had taken place at Services Hospital in the last week of July when the doctors were forced to perform surgeries without electricity.
