Since we are talking about craters and names.... here is some tidbit - which you can perhaps only come to know in a BRF dhaga .... Or let me post the questions here, and see if people can guess (Hopefully without google). (I will post an answer if others did not find it)

Is there a crater named Modi (True/False)
Is there a crater name after Ravi? (A common name - but not any great scientist ) (True/False)
How about Sita ? (True / False)
Ramanujan - is a crater on Moon but it is named after a mathematician.

Just to lighten things up from serious science...

Huh? The Congis didn't push for lunar features to be named after Bandit NeverWho and the Nehru-Gandhi clan? Without them there would never have been any scientific progress in India or even computers and telecommunication facilities according to them.

Also my earlier post CH2, CH3PM and CH3, orbits describes them (see <this> .. The positions could be simply calculated by figures (elements derived from JPL/NASA - reduced to simple calculation..(Assuming circular orbits would be fine as error introduced in 1-2 days is quite small).

I might put more recent base figures (especially position of CH2, CH3PM and CH3 - at recent EPOC).
(Plan for Sankara's animation was to show position of PM and CY2 too... but I don't think it is there in the web interface now)

This of course is true for the trajectories - before hard braking (18 minutes of terror starts) ..

Reposting the position of CY2, CY3 PM from Ashokk's post (HT Scott Tilley).
(Moon would below horizon where I live, but it will be above horizon in India)

(Nice thing, as I noted in the last post ;" CH2 and CH3PM are orbiting in such a way at least one of them will be in visible/radio range from CH3 around most of the time during those 14 days....Would have been nice if there were three such relays - 120 degree apart then 100% of the time, some chandrayaan would be visible from Vikram. )

Elements Keplerian for CH3PM. CH2, CH3:

a= CH3PM -> 1895.6 CH2 -> 1845 , CH3 -> 1816 Km
e = .004, .01, .03 (All are nearly circular - CH3 is little more elliptical)
Inc = 89.66, 90.3, 89.7 --All almost 90 degree (All polar orbits)
OM = 270 degree, 272 Degree, 270 Degree (All almost same plane)

Time Period 7406 secs, 7111 secs, 6946 secs
Angle from node at August 23, 00:00:00 (UTC) (X axis of ellipse)

CH3P -- 186.0, CH2 -> 50.5, CH3 -> 100.2 (All in degrees)

Chandrayaan-3 Mission:
All set to initiate the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS).
Awaiting the arrival of Lander Module (LM) at the designated point, around 17:44 Hrs. IST.

Upon receiving the ALS command, the LM activates the throttleable engines for powered descent.
The mission operations team will keep confirming the sequential execution of commands.

The live telecast of operations at MOX begins at 17:20 Hrs. IST
