This little tidbit...

Why India wants radiation detectors at borders

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/ind ... 447615.cms?
Radiation Detection Equipment (RDE) will soon be installed at eight land crossing points along India's borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Nepal to check the trafficking of radioactive materials for its possible use in making nuclear devices.

Officials said the RDE will be installed at the Integrated Check Posts and land ports of Attari (Pakistan border), Petrapole, Agartala, Dawki and Sutarkandi (all on the Bangladesh border), Raxaul and Jogbani (Nepal), and Moreh (Myanmar).

Saudi decision on cutting Pakistan Hajj groups ‘final’
The Senate Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony convened on Tuesday to discuss the implications of the Saudi government's decision to significantly reduce the number of Pakistani Hajj Group Organizers (HGOs) from 905 to only 46. :((

During the meeting, it was disclosed that a letter had already been sent to the Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry, requesting a postponement of this reduction for the current year and proposing a gradual decrease in the number of group organizers in the following years.

Although the religious affairs ministry eagerly awaited a response from the Saudi authorities, it was emphasized that it was unlikely for the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to reconsider its decision. The committee recommended that the ministry should prepare for the possibility of the Saudi decision remaining unchanged.

^ There is something even stranger. Coca Cola have an excise exemption in the UK for its alcohol content. 4% of the mother syrup is alcohol and accordingly they apply for an exemption else they are obliged to pay tax. Every peaceful needs to be educated of this fact.

P.S. My relative used to sign the exemption certificate.

Pak military open fire on LoC:

Is Pak looking to carry out joint offensive with China against India?

When US was distracted during 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, then China chose to use that moment to attack India.

Should India be worried about a sneak-attack?

Looks like now even the RAPEs will have to switch to boats to get out of bakistan

https://tribune.com.pk/story/2441791/pi ... en-flights
On Wednesday, the cash-strapped Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had to cancel a total of 24 domestic and international flights due to a limited supply of fuel by Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Only 26 of PIA's flights departed for their respective destinations on that day.

According to official sources, on Wednesday, PIA paid Rs 150 million to PSO for fuelling these 26 flights.

On Tuesday, PSO had provided fuel for only 13 PIA flights, including 10 international and 3 domestic routes, upon payment of Rs 125 million.

Hindu woman becomes victim of Pakistan's endless kidnap-conversion cycle
excerpts
Rajeeta Meghwar Kolhi throws herself on the floor, wails and pleads that she wants to be reunited with her parents, but Pakistan's justice system turns a deaf ear and a blind eye. Rajeeta is a Dalit Hindu woman in Pakistan and she is one of the thousand women from minority communities who were kidnapped, forcefully converted to Islam and married off every year.

Rajeeta was kidnapped two months ago but managed to escape from her abductor, Ashiq Ahmadani, reported The Rise News, a Pakistani not-for-profit news organisation, on October 15, two days after she escaped from captivity.

Gujarat: Pak man who got Indian citizenship in 2005 held for spying
Utkarsh Mishra, October 20, 2023

The Gujarat police's Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Friday arrested a man, a native of Pakistan who was granted Indian citizenship in 2005, for allegedly helping Pakistani authorities spy on Indian defence personnel by sending them a tracking malware through WhatsApp, an official said.
Based on the inputs shared by the Military Intelligence about an Indian WhatsApp number being operated from Pakistan to spy on defence personnel, the ATS nabbed one Labhshankar Maheshwari, 53, from Tarapur town in Anand district and brought him to Ahmedabad, the official said.
The accused has been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 123 (concealing with intent to facilitate a design to wage war against the government) and 121-A (conspiracy to wage war against the government) and under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, he said.
The investigation has revealed that Maheshwari, a native of Pakistan who was granted Indian citizenship in 2005, had agreed to be part of the conspiracy to expedite the visa process for him, his wife and two other family members wanting to visit the neighbouring country to meet relatives, ATS Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Jat said.
"The Indian Military Intelligence recently learnt that either the Pakistan Army or Pakistan's intelligence agency had somehow acquired an Indian SIM card, which was being used for spying on Indian defence personnel by sending them malware through WhatsApp. Based on the information, we apprehended Maheshwari from Tarapur in Anand, where he runs a grocery shop," he told reporters.

Nawaz Sharif lands in Islamabad after a four-year exile
Nisha, October 22, 2023, ISLAMABAD

Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif landed at Islamabad airport as he returned to Pakistan after four years of exile in London. In a post on X, PML-N posted, “Umeed e Pakistan has landed in Islamabad Alhumdulillah. NAWAZ SHARIF IS BACK IN HIS HOMELAND.” The PML-N supremo’s legal team including former Law Minister Senator Azam Tarar and party leaders are present at the airport to receive him. Tarar said Nawaz would be consulted on political and legal issues upon his arrival. He confirmed that the court staff also reached the airport and now “the legal process of security guarantee will be completed.”
Sharif, arriving at the Dubai airport, said, “Today I am going to Pakistan after four years and I am feeling very happy…it would be great if the situation in Pakistan was better today than it was in 2017.”Reacting strongly to the return of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) said that the “coward fugitive” is returning under “judicial asylum”, on Saturday. A PTI spokesperson said in a statement that the “state has buried shame, modesty, law and justice with its own hands” to pave the way for “national criminal’s return” to the country from London. The three-time former PM returned to Pakistan on Saturday after ending a four-year self-imposed exile in London and is hoping to make a political comeback in the upcoming general elections expected to be held in the last week of January next year.Nawaz’s last term—which began with a triumphant victory in 2013—was scarred by upheavals. It started with the then-opposition-led months-long blockade of Islamabad and ended with his disqualification by the Supreme Court in 2017. The court ruling followed months of hearings in a case instigated by the “Panama Papers” leaks, related to alleged corruption during his previous two terms in office. On 6 July 2018, Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in jail upon conviction in the Avenfield reference along with a fine of 8 million Euros (1.3 Pakistani Rupees).

Yawn - Govt set to ratify soaring gas charges before IMF review
Before seeking final dates for the second review of the ongoing IMF loan programme, the government has convened a special meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Monday (today) to discuss and clear an unprecedented surge of 3900 per cent in fixed monthly charges and a 194 pc hike in consumer rates for natural gas.

Even though the petroleum division claims it is not seeking an increase in gas rates for the “protected category” of consumers in the domestic sector, it has still proposed up to 3,900pc hike in fixed monthly charges for these categories to Rs 400 per month from Rs 10 at present. “There will be no increase in tariff for the protected category (57pc of the domestic consumers); however, the fixed monthly charge is proposed to be increased from Rs 10 to Rs 400 for this category,” it said. :rotfl:

I am wondering is this swatch Pakistan abhayaan by ISI? There are lot of advantage like showcase world that there don't have terrorists, get new fresh and unmarked cheap terrorists, get IMF and other loan, get breathing time for Pakistan. I think even Nawaz Sharif come back ( I am sure of he winning election) is also planned. He has good reputation and can even start talks with modi.

Otherwise how can unknown gunman can eliminate so many? If it's by Raaaa by now full Army would have been mobilized to catch them.

Hence I think it's a grand strategy of Worlds number 1 intelligence agency ISI.

Wasim Akram chamar abuse shows one thing — Pakistan never had an Ambedkar or Mayawati
The recent incident in which former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram used a casteist slur on live television after the Pakistani cricket team’s shocking defeat against Afghanistan has put the spotlight on a deeper issue that plagues the country.

I wonder how vulnerable are the oil facilities in Pakistan? Can we do an preemptive strike and destroy the oil facilities grounding the PAF planes and PA's machinery and vehicles and force Pakistan to be on the defensive? And vice versa, can India defend itself against Pakistan preemptive strikes against India's oil facilities?

Chetak ji, they are 'confident' beggars... full of jazba

Pak Tribune - ‘Confident’ Pakistan to meet IMF for review talks on Nov 2
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has agreed to begin talks from Nov 2 for the release of $710 million second loan tranche, as the government remains confident that it will successfully complete the programme review amid some external sector challenges.

The IMF had proposed Nov 7 in anticipation of a delay in compiling the first quarter data but the Ministry of Finance assured that all the relevant data was available for the review talks, according to sources. # the data will be cooked up one anyway..so what does the date matter

Highly placed sources told The Express Tribune that during the recently held IMF-World Bank annual meetings, Pakistani delegation faced three major questions in almost every meeting. The finance ministry officials were asked about the status and role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, the prospects of next elections, and the mandate of the interim government, the sources said.

Unlike the last failed $6.5 billion programme, the Ministry of Finance seemed committed to meeting the conditions set for the $3 billion programme during past three months. At many occasions, the finance secretary appeared receptive to the IMF queries and ensured transparency. This was contrary to the past practice when the Ministry of Finance appeared dragging feet on the $6.5 billion deal that eventually collapsed.

BSF jawan, 4 civilians hurt in Pak firing at IB; 5 LeT ultras killed near LoC
A Border Security Force jawan and four civilians were injured when Pakistan Rangers opened unprovoked firing at five Indian posts along the International Border in the Arnia and R S Pura sectors in Jammu Thursday night, a senior official said.

As per sources, Pakistan Rangers also fired mortar shells in civilian areas, triggering panic among the border population.

Earlier in the day, in the Machhil sector operation, five LeT terrorists were killed as security forces foiled their infiltration bid along the Line of Control.

Not an expert by any means, but IA/IAF taking out p@ki oil installations (refineries, oil storage tanks etc) should be fair game, if & when hostilities break out. They are all outside Karachi. However, if & when we decide to target these installations, it cannot be piecemeal. We need to go the whole nine yards and take the entire lot of them offline.

In contrast, our ports, refineries, oil tanks are fairly spread out. Most of them beyond the reach of p@kis; however, mota bhai has his refinery not very far from the border in Gujarat. If the p@kis decide to target his assets, guess who will be most unhappy :((

There was an interesting slide presentation by one of the speakers (Not Kaiser Bengali) who was very Candid about the situation of Pakistan
