Road to the 2024 Elections in India-1

The Left Globalist Elite in Washington DC are frustrated because leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi are beyond their control. In the international arena, Modi doesn’t do what he is asked to do, especially with respect to President Vladimir Putin, and instead, he very deftly, exercises his geo-political acumen and independence to secure India’s strategic interests. This is something that the Cabal is not used to and does not appreciate at all. Hence the #InternationalPlanforRegimeChangeinIndia, even as it failed the last time. They are so desperate that some of them are threatening, and even orchestrating a conflict in the Persian Gulf so that the Modi government, which has escaped the negative fallout of major global disruptions so far, gets to face an energy crisis at home, and buckles down under its pressure. I say, they really need to try harder. They clearly do NOT understand Bharat.

Re: Road to the 2024 Elections in India-1
EAM Jaishankar's interview on his book "Why Bharat Matters" with Smitha Prakash. During the interview, he also spoke on the last 10 years of India’s foreign policy and challenges after he took charge as Foreign Secretary and External Affairs Minister during the period. EAM has been instrumental in changing the dialogue about Bharat in foreign press and his recent visit to Russia with Putin Sahib created enough disdain/shock in the Western press, media. He is very clear on direction of foreign policy for India and he quietly bashed the Neverhuvian school of thought and their China first policy (Chindia!). EAM's performance in the foreign arena will enable Modiji to win the 2024 elections. People for a change are seeing how Bharat can dictate its presence on the world stage and stick to its point of view despite all the pressures from various quarters.

I request Indians to register for community notes. Important notes and context to propaganda posts are not shown because Indians aren't showing interest in being part of the community notes. Just like Wikipedia, those who put the effort to join, edit, and influence the community will have their say. No point crying later about biased propaganda when provided platforms and tools are not being used to counter it due to laziness and apathy.

Let's see if Khalistanis show up to hijack these protests to do violence, raising flag onto Red Fort, etc, and simultaneously carrying out attacks on Indian embassies worldwide. And when govt offers to hold talks with them, then they roundly reject any talks.
sanman ji,
Many of the truck drivers are sardars.
The khalistanis may fund the protest but one doubts if (any) many will show up
this is a fairly dicey time for the khalistanis to be raising their heads in India, especially when given what their kanedian brethren are up to in kaneda with their anti India rantings.

I now feel that communities monopolising any industry is going to mess up with the nation's progress. This even applies to defence forces. There could be historical reasons for these monopolies to come up (simple reason; no other community/religion wanted to take up a job for what ever reason). But this needs to be changed gradually. My observation; eulogising any profession/community (be it farmers or soldiers) at the expense of others are going to be counter productive in the long run.chetak wrote:Many of the truck drivers are sardars.
Downhill sking already started by Amit Shah. He says the relevant section will only be implemented after 'consultations'. Fine go ahead, 'consultations' can be held with murderers, rapists as well to see if the punishments are too harsh on them.uddu wrote:Truck drivers' association ends strike after talks with Home Ministry
Generally when the President gives ascent, a bill becomes the law of the land. I always had a doubt on how these laws will be practically rolled out. IPC, Cr.PC and Evidence Act - these are the foundation of criminal justice in India. 1000s of police men (right from constabulary to DGP), lawyers, lower judiciary are trained and used with the provisions of these laws. So they cannot be replaced over night. Looks like these new laws have not been notified yet. Notification on criminal justice laws' rollout likely by Jan 26, 2024 , with few cities like Ahmedabad, GJ going with these new laws in a pilot mode.

Re: Road to the 2024 Elections in India-1
After confirming that the new Criminal Laws even though having President's ascent will not be rolled out all of a sudden, and will be done in a phased manner; a sudden thought struck me. Has BJP learnt lessons from the Farmer Bills? The new criminal laws would be piloted in few states (GJ is one), and then would get rolled out to others. The problem with Farm related Acts was that it was rolled out all across India right after President's ascent. The startegy for criminal laws would have worked there. Get the farm acts enforced in states where BJP has control on things, use the experience their to show rest of the country the benefits. The experimentation done by Utharakhand on UCC is also a step in right direction. Try it as a quieter place, and then go for other places.

The ongoing wrestling conundrum took a fresh turn on Wednesday with hundreds of young wrestlers staging a sit-in protest demanding resumption of training and tournaments for age-group competitors, blaming the current stoppage on seniors Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat.
The juniors held up placards, blaming the absence of wrestling activities in the last one year on the protests led by Bajrang, Sakshi and Vinesh.
The wrestlers demanded that the sports ministry should revoke WFI's suspension in 10 days. WFI's office-bearers too have questioned the suspension -- and ad hoc body is running the sport -- and said they would approach the court.
Several wrestlers, who could have competed in the junior categories for one last time, lost the opportunity.
"More than 90 per cent of Akharas (training centres) in UP are with us in this protest. There are only three wrestlers on one side and lakhs on the other. They have spoilt the careers of lakhs of wrestlers across the country," said Muzaffarnagar stadium coach Pradeep Kumar.
"These people have no respect for national awards. They are leaving them on the roads," Kumar added, referring to Punia and Phogat returning their government honours.
"They kept saying that they were protesting for women and junior wrestlers but they have spoilt careers of lakhs after earning all the laurels. Their protest is only to get top WFI posts. Once that happens, they will stop all protests."

Time to Cancel Racist South Korea
In a surprising revelation, the prevalence of racism in South Korea has recently been thrust into the spotlight by popular YouTuber Nikita Thakur. Thakur’s video sheds light on the discrimination faced by Indians in the country, revealing a disconcerting reality that many foreigners, particularly Hindus and Muslims, find themselves subjected to. Startling reports indicate that an alarming 7 in 10 individuals have encountered some form of racial bias.
The video presentation by Nikita vividly illustrates instances where Indians are outright prohibited from entering certain establishments, as evidenced by explicit banners proclaiming “Indians out.” This blatant exclusion extends beyond mere restriction, with individuals of Indian descent often being treated as if they were untouchables or outcasts in society.
Perhaps even more disheartening is the revelation that discrimination permeates everyday interactions to the extent that native inhabitants promptly intervene to cleanse surfaces that Indians have come into contact with. Such instances paint a grim picture of the deep-seated prejudice faced by the Indian community in South Korea.
This stark reality stands in stark contrast to the adoration and idolization that many Indians express toward South Korean celebrities and the nation itself. While Indian fans wholeheartedly embrace South Korean culture, it appears that, regrettably, a reciprocal sentiment may not be uniformly reciprocated. The apparent contradiction between the admiration Indians extend towards South Korea and the hostility they face within its borders raises poignant questions about the complexities of cross-cultural perceptions and the need for a more inclusive dialogue.

Why are Indians considered fit to be discriminated in South Korea
The roots of racism against Indians in South Korea can be traced to stringent beauty standards ingrained in the culture. The preference for pale, glass skin and a petite frame sets an unattainable benchmark that many Indians do not conform to, perpetuating discriminatory attitudes. The pervasive nature of these beauty standards is not confined to private entities; public organizations also uphold superficial requirements based on physical appearance, prioritizing looks over a candidate’s potential or capabilities.
The video by Nikita Thakur reveals a disheartening reality where looks are paramount, overshadowing the qualifications or skills of individuals. This emphasis on superficial qualities exacerbates the discrimination faced by Indians in various aspects of life.
Furthermore, Koreans’ resentment towards Indians is attributed to the perception that many Indians are engaged in menial jobs, a sentiment that fosters disrespect among the local population. The intersection of beauty standards and stereotypes about occupational roles thus compounds the challenges faced by Indians living in South Korea.
Did government try to stop this racism
Efforts by the government to curb racism have been met with obstacles. In 2016, an anti-discrimination bill aimed at addressing such issues was proposed but faced significant opposition from large businesses and employee associations. Ultimately, the bill was rejected, signaling a reluctance to enact legislative measures against racism. The lack of successful initiatives suggests a complex socio-cultural landscape that requires more comprehensive efforts to address and dismantle deeply ingrained discriminatory practices.
India – South Korea trade relations
Trade relations between India and South Korea have shown remarkable growth over the past few years, culminating in a record high bilateral trade volume of US$ 27.8 billion in 2022. This marks a significant increase from US$ 17.2 billion in 2018, demonstrating a consistent upward trend despite a slight dip in 2020 due to the pandemic. The year-over-year growth rate in 2022 was an impressive 17.3%.
The composition of this trade is noteworthy. India’s exports to South Korea, valued at US$ 9 billion, predominantly include mineral fuels, cereals, and iron and steel. Conversely, South Korea’s exports to India, amounting to US$ 18.8 billion, mainly consist of electronic goods, machinery, and chemicals. This trade pattern has resulted in a trade deficit that currently favors South Korea.
The growth in trade between these two nations can be attributed to several factors. Key among these is the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CEPA) in 2010. Additionally, increasing Korean investments in India’s manufacturing and service sectors and the rising Indian demand for Korean consumer goods have further bolstered this bilateral relationship.

South Korean companies that dominate the Indian market
Korean companies have a significant presence in India and we contribute to the majority of their revenues. Here are some of the biggest South Korean brands in India.
Samsung- It is the top smartphone brand in India currently having a market share of 17.2%, the company earns over $7 billions in revenue from India alone, its market share in India is bigger than its market share in its home country.
LG is another such company that currently holds the second largest market share in home appliances manufacturing in India, the company reported over $2.7 billions in revenue from India in the FY23, it is the largest durable goods manufacturer in India. From kitchen appliances to smartphones, it has a wide customer base in India.
Hyundai motors is another player in the automobile sector. The company remains a leading player in the motor sector in India, it holds a massive 14.51% share in the Indian market. The company reported a revenue of $5.64 billions from India; it sold 5,25,000 units in India, larger than the home country itself.
Kia motors, an emerging player in the automotive sector, started its operations in India recently, within a span of few years the company has gained an incredible market share of 6.67%. The revenue reported by the company was around $5 billion.
Apart from these there are more Korean companies in India trying to expand their operations, the trade between two countries has been increasing steadily. If somehow India stops South Korean companies from selling here, it is going to have a huge negative impact on the country’s economy.
South Korea should not forget that India is not just an economic powerhouse but the biggest open market in the world too. China learned it the hard way when PubG, TikTok and a 100 other Chinese apps were banned and biggies like Huawei and ZTE were shown the door. China got a bill of $60 billions just for irking the Indians through its skirmishes in Indian territory.
The repulsion for Chinese products in India is such that Made in China products garner an instant dislike and their share of market has been steadily decreasing.
South Korea should learn a lesson from China. South Korea isn’t exactly a big economy and racism towards Indians is going to cost their companies their entire fortunes. South Korea would also be wise to remember that Bharat that is India is the oldest as well as the first civilization of the world, we respect all others but your freedom ends where our nose begins.

And Modi will surely lose in the 2024 elections, even as the domestic consumer ends up paying stratospherically high prices for onions

^ Doubt the central government will allow the export, Chetak ji
One - they don't want to lose the elections
Two - this will hurt the onion (and sugarcane) strongman

Hoping to hurt the PM Modi an attack on Adani was launched, looks like it has failed (cross posting)

His fortune shrank by $80 billion last year. Now India’s Gautam Adani is back as Asia’s richest man
Gautam Adani has had a good start to 2024.
After a tumultuous year, the Indian tycoon has just retaken his former position as Asia’s richest man, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The founder of the sprawling Adani Group is now worth $97.6 billion, which makes him the 12th wealthiest person on the planet.
The self-made industrialist and college dropout has gained more than $13 billion in net worth over the last two days, which has allowed him to overtake fellow countryman Mukesh Ambani as the continent’s biggest billionaire, the tracker said. Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, is currently worth $97 billion.
Adani’s jump in wealth — the world’s largest this year, according to the index — comes almost 12 months after his ports-to-power conglomerate was accused by the US short-seller Hindenburg Research of “brazen stock manipulation and accounting fraud scheme.”

Their primary audience is MNCs/US politicians/US public. They want to use that to put pressure on USG to slow down on relations with India and bring up "democracy/human rights" concerns in their dealings with India. They want the US govt/senators/orgs to interfere in India and influence change in India.

I tried to watch a Mojo tv interview of this chap Varshane.
Man, so much bile, so much fear mongering.
It couldn't watch it beyond a few minutes, as it was too damaging to my IQ level.

A day after the state government allegedly denied her permission to visit Manipur, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal Sunday landed in Imphal to interact with survivors of sexual violence.
After reaching the Imphal airport, Maliwal said that she has not “come here to do politics.” Further, the DCW chief requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani to visit Manipur. “I will also try and meet the Governor,” she added
Taking to Twitter, the DCW chief urged the Manipur government to allow her to “meet sexual abuse survivors.” “Just landed in Manipur. I’ve sought time from CM @NBirenSingh ji. I hope he accepts my request at the earliest. I will directly go to the CM’s Office, I want to meet Chief Minister N Biren Singh. I want to meet the sexual abuse survivors and see if they have got legal aid, counselling or any compensation. I appeal to the Manipur Govt that I have come here to help the people of the state, please allow me to do that,” she said.
The DCW chief had earlier claimed that though she was initially given the go-ahead to visit Manipur, the government had taken a “U-turn”, asking her to postpone the visit in view of the law and order situation.

Re: Road to the 2024 Elections in India-1
The Supreme Court has decided today that the Gujarat government is not competent to release early the 11 convicted rapist-cum-murderers. Remember they were convicted by a lower court and the High Court of Bombay confirmed the convictions.
If you read what is presented in the SC judgment, the Gujarat government seems to have spent an unusual amount of effort to get these convicts released, and they only seemingly followed the proper process. Wherever any of the deciding authorities said do not release these culprits, they either ignored that or replaced the authority. The Central Home Ministry did not do anything but rubber-stamp what the Gujarat government submitted.
The question again arises - why does the BJP have a death wish, and why do they want to spend political capital on getting these guys released?
This kind of thing is not good for the nation, it negates all this "naari shakti" work that the government has done - renders it to be propaganda, not reality any more, it is not good for law and order, it is not good for victims' rights. Yet the BJP wants this done, and already YouTube is full of angry pieces defending the Gujarat government.
Why? What is so special about these culprits?
