Nuland and her fellow NeoCons were originally motivated by the collapse of the Oslo Peace Process for the Middle East. With the timely coincidence of 9/11 and the ensuing US invasion of Afghanistan, the NeoCons sought to run away from Afghanistan as quickly as possible, looking to run toward their preferred war with Saddam Hussein. After failing to pin the blame for 9/11 on Saddam, they they falsely accused him of building nukes ("WMD"), to ram through their war on the MiddleEast. However, the Europeans, who'd become very invested in the Oslo Peace Process, became fierce opponents of the NeoCons. By the time the Bush admin left office, the angry Europeans tracked down various NeoCons (eg. Paul Wolfowitz) to impose punitive action on them. The NeoCons were then forced to bide their time waiting for a chance to come back and take their own revenge. They'd planned to do this through Jeb Bush, but unfortunately the arrival of Trump on the political scene thwarted their plans, as Trump trounced Jeb. The angry NeoCons then teamed up with Democrats to make common cause against Trump. After having ousted him from office, the NeoCons then set up shop inside the Biden whitehouse and resumed their revenge plan against Europe by having their colleague Nuland foment war between Russian and Ukraine. When Putin reacted strongly by invading eastern Ukraine, the NeoCons sought to parlay that into an opportunity to collar Europe, even at the cost of wrecking European economies, while also funneling money into their own coffers via the military-industrial complex.

vijayk ji,

nuland was singularly and solely responsible for the drastic slow down in the amriki visa issue process that affected millions of Indians, their families, work and businesses, and much of that damage is irreparable because of the time sensitive nature of family requirements, commitments, and responsibilities ...

this is per MD Nalapat, and I, for one, trust him enough to believe his words, especially on such matters ....

Apparently, this was her way of punishing India for supporting russia and no one in the SD, including that clown blinken, seems to have had the testimonials to over rule her

and on such shaky foundations is the entire gamut of the India amriki relations based, and one vengeful amriki babooze was allowed to personally wreak mayhem in the system, all because of a personal whim ....

We don't need nalapat to tell us that. It was part of the pressure tactics to get India to change its position on the Ukraine war - didn't work, to get us to join the sanctions bandwagon and stop buying Russian oil - didn't work, get us to sell Russian made atry, tanks, all kinds of munitions to Ukraine at whatever price we wanted - didn't work, get our diaspora to go anti Modi by squeezing visas - didn't work, now they have tier 2 tactics like raking Khalistanis - didn't work, squeezing engines for LCA - work in progress... These are sticks that we know of. There were surely more we will come to know over the years.

Inviting Modi to Congress and WH, ICETS and other cooperation agreements were few carrots thrown now and then.

Bharat under Modi has shown balls of kryptonite to withstand so much pressure and played the game in many unexpected ways like G20, global south, vaccine maitri, quad, FTAs, bimstec, IMEC, I2U2 ...

There are only 2 unbreakable leaders in the world now. Modi and Putin.

The rest will come and go...

From the CNN article above:
However, US officials were not certain they would know if Russia was moving tactical nuclear weapons into place. Unlike strategic nuclear weapons, capable of destroying entire cities, tactical or battlefield nuclear weapons are small enough to be moved quietly and could be fired from conventional systems already deployed to the Ukrainian battlefield.
This is a capability US and other NATO countries possess as well. But they will never accept that Russia is therefore justified in wanting Ukraine to never join NATO. Because if a non nuclear state stations and then uses borrowed nuclear weapons tactical or other wise on the worlds biggest nuclear state, then what will be Russia's reaction? That's the nub of the problem.

What NATO is doing is way more than poking the very patient bear.

Dangerous times.

Maybe I am missing something - but wasn't it during the Trump administration that visas/GCs et al came to a near standstill ? Nuland was not in the state department at the time. And the USCIS (homeland security) was the main actor in slowing down employment visa and immigration processes at that time, even before the state department came into the picture.

Or are you saying things picked back up when Biden came in and then Nuland slowed it down (this time from the state department) ? I haven't kept track of this matter.

I have to say I am noticing a huge slowdown in all federal government processing times over the last 3 years - mostly in professional dealings with the government. One issue seems to be personnel hiring/retention. I am not sure that Nuland can be "credited" for all that.

It has become a “global” war. While there are volunteers from richer countries, a lot of human trafficking going on from poorer nations with promises of good jobs; only to be sent to the frontlines as cannon fodder.

Nationals from every continent involved: South Asia (India, Nepal), Central Asia (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan), Africa (Sudan) and the Americas (Cuba). Then volunteers from EU, North America and China.

Why do we need the law to allow it? What they did in foreign soil is not relevant for India unless a foreign govt goes for prosecution and seeks extradition. India should allow indian citizens IN without asking questions if their record is clear from the perspective of Indian law.

Undated video having Hindustan Times logo. Elenski squealing and asking Macron to get Biden and others to speak to Putin and stop the war. Surely leaked by Macron's office, seems to have been filmed in the Elysée.

this seems to be a real video (else fact checkers from CNN BBC would have steam rolled it)
But from 2 years ago when Roosi troops were in Kiev and a negotiation was promised
But after roos left Kiev Nato forced them to fight Roos.
This fits in line with Putin statement that Boris came to gaslight the war.

Nowadays multiple sources need to corroborate otherwise it is just an “opinion” of one source. They all have their angle and favoritism. Nothing truly neutral.

Agree. Bucha was staged after that to justify why Roos should be fought at all costs... Even now we can hear it occasionally thrown around by von der hyena and other NATO leaders

The Russians appear to have pulled off a masterstroke to cleverly outflank the NeoCon Russophobes in Washington.

Remember how that crook Robin Raphel screwed India by helping to cobble the Hurriyat together in Kashmir?

Well, the Russians have managed to get all the Palestinian factions together in Moscow, to bring them under a combined umbrella grouping.
Hamas is part of this coalition group.

I think that this may be a possible reason why Nuland has fallen out of favour in Washington, and suddenly had to resign.
The NeoCons seem to have some major factions among them. Some are mainly interested in fighting Russia. Others are mainly interested in fighting the Arab Middle East. Yet others are just more focused on funneling money to the military-industrial complex, with one enemy as good as another. They come together to make common cause in pursuit of their mutual interests.
I think that the Russian move may have effectively split the NeoCons, by shocking the pro-Israel elites in Washington into realizing that a needless fight with Russia has only undermined Israel's security and not enhanced it. And that's why Nuland has now been ditched, imho.

Details on how Nepali villagers are trafficked into fighting the Russian war and the realities of frontlines for them. People like them make up the human mass suicidal attacks and are dying by the thousands.

Only few manage to escape by again paying bribes to those same trafficking networks.

Those dead their families haven’t been compensated.

I would assume it is very similar in other poorer nations and the human trafficking that is going on for the war.

NeoCons don't need unbreakable leaders for themselves - they will opportunistically and ruthlessly jump onto any US leader that comes along, to subvert that whitehouse for their own needs. They will then ride that horse(leader) until it collapses, and then just move onto the next one.
They've also cultivated lots of support in the US congress.
