They won't let a little technical thing like that stop them, Chetak sir.

There must be some rule in their constitution to declare her an absconder and to disqualify/impeach her.

Manish ji,

They are apparently going to get rid of the inconvenient president who is asking some unwanted questions and also amend the beedi constitution to get their $hit$how on the road.

these buggers always have simple solutions to complicated problems.

but such tricks will not impress India.

India appears to be in a wait-and-watch mode. Unless the beedis act quickly and decisively to not only prevent but also stop attacks on minorities, India will not step forward to assist them in anyway.

The beedis, like all our other neighbours, are basically freeloaders and not worthy of India's trust or help and this govt will now be justifiably wary of all of them.

If so I wonder how she got the free passage to India
And what’s the locus standi of the interim government
Is that the reason to attack president to discredit him as he’s the only constitutional authority left

SRajesh Ji

The CJI on the interim team was forced out and some other beedi buffoon has replaced him, so one thinks that he, the president, is the only constitutional authority remaining standing and he has not been appointed by a bunch of malodorous "students.

He is the only beedi authority left in the country who has the might of the constitution backing him. The constitution does not recognize the interim govt or authority

Since the president is probably the only legal authority left standing in beediland, he is probably required to put his stamp of approval on the next govt or even the PM appointed by the "students" or if he chose to be nasty, he could gum up the works pretty quickly.

This is what the "students" are scared about

under these circumstances, India will not step forward or offer any meaningful assistance to these jiziya demanding ingrates

These interim govt crooks and scamsters are not going to inspire the IMF, WB whatever (or even job creating foreign investors) to loan them the रोक्डा required for the beedis bailout or even put up the रोक्डा for the facilities with which to create jobs

so their plan is to remove the president and also the constitution and start with a new slate and a brand new constitution ... 8)

Yunus is already acting as the Ayatollah. We should be speaking up more and more about parallels to the Iranian revolution that establsihed Islamic republic, and refer to the caretaker PM as Ayatollah Yunus. Frankly, he has no right to be called a PM. neither he nor any of his coterie was voted in. They banned all opposition parties, killing Hindus and other non-muslims on their way to claiming Bangladesh as an Islamic republic.

Ernestji,
Yunus is no Ayatollah. The students have already commented that he has no beard and has not performed the Haj. Yunus is a small time bandit sent in by the US. But he has been unable to acquire for the US the base they (the US) want. To get a naval base the US has to invest more money. The dollar is not bringing as much goodies it used to bring in these days. What can India do? Just wait and watch, I guess.

drnayar ji,

India has reportedly blocked the pakis and the turks from entering the BRICS

So, what chance does the India hating, India baiting gun for hire, unemployed loan shark, and a sino-amriki puppet have under the circumstances, when even the legality of the interim govt is open to question

Vayutuvan ji,

That was always on the cards

It was only a matter of time

but now the beedis have learned the hard way that India and her views do matter in the region, no matter what the beedis think of India

these ingrate jihadi buggers have been living off India's largesse since before 1971 and yet they continue to badmouth their largest benefactor, while the interim govt is doing its best to push the country down the road to medieval darkness

Adani Power to stop supplying electricity to Bangladesh if dues not paid by 7 November, earlier 50% supply was cut

No power supply if dues not settled by November 7: Adani to Bangladesh

NEW DELHI:

After slashing the power supply to Bangladesh over non-payment of dues, Adani Power has set a deadline of Nov 7 to switch off the flow of electricity if there is no clarity on settlement of the outstanding amount that adds up to almost $850 million (around Rs 7,200 crore).

Adani had set a deadline of Oct 31 for the Bangladesh Power Development Board to clear the dues and provide a letter of credit (LC) of $170 million (around Rs 1,500 crore) to ensure security of payment.

Bangladesh steps up repayments to Adani to avoid power supply cut
Two senior government officials told the BBC they are already processing partial payments to Adani, which supplies 10% of the electricity used by Bangladesh.
“We have addressed payment glitches and already issued a $170 million [£143m] letter of credit to Adani group,” a senior Bangladesh Power Development Board official told the BBC.
“We are shocked and surprised that despite us ramping up payments, supplies have been cut. We are ready to repay and will make alternate arrangements, but will not let any power producer hold us hostage and blackmail us,” said Fouzul Kabir Khan, energy adviser to the interim government.

Very interesting watch - a discussion between a popular UK based Bangladeshi Islamist, and a popular Bangladesh based Bangladeshi Islamist (an academic at that)

Eye opening revelations about how Bangladeshi islamists thing about the present and future:

1) The concept of Lebensraum (living space) is well and truly alive...the academic jihadi actually craves the entirety of Assam, Burmese Arakan, West Bengal, and India's northeastern tribal belt

2) There is a strong desire to "recover" the erstwhile Bengal Sultanate territories and spread out / take over the surrounding sparsely populated territories

3) There is a strong desire to become a nuclear weapons state and become equal-equal to India

4) There is a string desire to subvert India's interests in the Bay of Bengal by inviting the Chinese to drop anchor

5) The is ZERO belief in secularism. The Two Nation Theory is a core belief, and there is a strong affinity for the Pakis, 1971 massacres be damned

6) There are deep connections to the Bangladeshi military and current regime aka Yunus-man. Abovementioned ideas are currently being put into motion as we speak (from the horse's mouth)

(and all this is coming from a University Professor by the way - so much for education. You can put all the lipstick on a pig that you want, but it's still a pig)

We should widely spread this video - the storm is coming.

Muhammad Yunus-led interim government waives Pak import scan as arms flow
excerpts
Observers have interpreted the move by the National Board of Revenue (NBR), the apex tax administrator in Bangladesh, as an attempt to clear the decks for the unbridled entry of items from Pakistan
While the NBR has described the move as a step towards the prompter release of consignments, an observer said it would increase the possibility of contraband items entering Bangladesh.

“A blanket relaxation of any inspection of imported items doesn’t augur well in view of the present situation in Bangladesh, which has seen a rise in extremism and attacks on dissenters and religious minorities since the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government,” an Indian observer said.

Bangladesh has suffered a virtual breakdown of law and order in the past few months. Hundreds convicted of terror and other grievous charges have escaped from prisons. The country has witnessed multiple incidents of the loot of arms and ammunition from the law-enforcing agencies, including the elite Special Security Force, tasked to protect the Prime Minister, President and the Chief Adviser.

“Arms and ammunition are freely available in today’s Bangladesh, which has seen the sudden rise of private militia groups owing allegiance to extremist forces,” Asad Noor, an exiled Bangladeshi blogger who has been critical of both the Hasina and Yunus governments, told this correspondent from an undisclosed location.

Pakistan has begun the process of delivering 40,000 rounds of ammunition, apart from 2,000 units of tank ammunition, 40 tonnes of RDX explosives and 2,900 high-intensity projectiles to Bangladesh, a source in Dhaka confirmed.

“Pakistan’s influence on all aspects of daily life has begun growing since the Yunus-led regime is pro-Pakistan and anti-India,” Noor said.

“We saw Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birthday being observed at the PressClub, but BangabandhuMujibur Rahman’s pictures were removed from government offices. Qawwaliprogrammes have become common. It seems that people have forgotten the atrocities committed by West Pakistan on the then East Pakistan.”

Human Rights Congress for Bangladesh Minorities

🚨 URGENT APPEAL 🚨

Chinmoy Krishna Brahmachari, a beacon of hope for Bangladesh's minority communities, has been forcibly detained by individuals identifying themselves as members of the Detective Branch of Bangladesh Police at the Dhaka Airport. Witnesses reported that he was taken in a private van (license plate: "Dhaka Metro-ch 521161" or "ঢাকা মেট্রো -চ ৫২১১৬১").

This is a direct threat to the life of a courageous leader who has tirelessly fought for justice and minority rights. We urge the international community to intervene immediately to ensure his safety and release.

The time to act is NOW—his life depends on it.

So the latest game is that Yunus govt has now roped in Karim Khan of International Criminal Court (ICC) -- same guy who indicted Netanyahu -- to criminally investigate Hasina for the deaths in the protests against her govt.
