Nice bit of deflection there from Kasparov.

To boil it down, vote for the current incumbent if happy about the last 4 years. If not, vote for the previous incumbent.

We saw it in November 2016 and through the summer of 2020. The current incumbents of Harris-Biden will not concede the election should they lose by 2-20 Electoral Votes. Planning has been put in place to use the National Guard if necessary. I’m telling my adult children to avoid public places on Wednesday & be prepared. There are crazies on the left & the right that one must be aware of.

That’s good. My wife & I voted through early absentee ballot on Diwali morning. We got our ballots notarized at our bank in the morning (without charge) and hand delivered to the county election board. In both cases we presented our Real ID driver’s license before being asked. The EB official was please she didn’t have to ask either one of us. I told her India has 960 million biometric photo voter IDs & not the chaos we see in many American states. My wife did not want to mail it as it was getting late & she was alarmed that mail was being stolen or ballots being set on fire.
I wholeheartedly endorse Kamala Harris for President.
As Michelle Obama so eloquently stated,
So I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little frustrated that some of us are choosing to ignore Donald Trump’s gross incompetence while asking Kamala to dazzle us at every turn. I hope that you’ll forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to his erratic behavior, his obvious mental decline, his history as a convicted felon, a known … a known slumlord, a predator found liable for sexual abuse, all of this, while we pick apart Kamala’s answers from interviews that he doesn’t even have the courage to do, y’all.
(We're holding Kamala to an unrealistic standard, ignoring Trump's gross incompetence, erratic behavior and alarming history.")
His track record as a convicted felon, slumlord and predator liable for sexual abuse is unacceptable (see note 1).

As someone who's watched 15 U.S. presidential races since arriving as a physics graduate student in USA in 60’s, I recognize this election's significance. After making the U.S. my home, I've voted in last 12 such elections, valuing democracy's importance.

My extended family and friends, numbering hundreds (including many lifelong Republicans), unanimously reject supporting a convicted criminal. Many Nobel Laureates and former Trump supporters share our concerns, viewing Trump as unfit (see link 2).

Personally, I've known Trump since the 70s and never seen positive moral leadership from him.
My family and I have voted (or planning to vote) for Kamala, prioritizing integrity.

While I reject claims of election 'rigging' , voter intimidation is a legitimate concern. Protecting democracy, especially post-January 6, is paramount.

Join me in supporting Kamala Harris. At this point there is simply no other choice.
Hope for a brighter America.

Amber-ji,

Endorsements from celebrities, Nobel laureates & former First Lady Michael Obama do not resonate with the middle class. Everything has become worse & expensive. Groceries, fuel, transportation, housing, insurance, education. The cost of consumer lending for vehicles & homes has gone up more than doubled. Increased homelessness, high unemployment in the private sector, increased crime, unchecked human trafficking of women & children, endless wars, with increased debt servicing by the federal government allows little long term investment into human development or new technologies.

Throw in the deliberate ruining of India-US relations is the final turd on the shit cake prepared by the Harris-Biden administration. Sanctions on Indian companies, interference in India’s elections & support of criminal terrorists in the US.

Hopefully, if Trump comes to power, the GoI should ask for the deportation of several criminals being harbored by the US.

There he goes again! The only Presidential loser not to concede his defeat by a 'landslide' and slink off into the night without congratulating the winner is TRUMP and TRUMP alone. True landslide win was by Reagan and I just borrowed his phrase. Remember Gore? Truly an honest Gentleman though he had every right to grouse about pregnant chads and hanging chads, he did not. Like a human he CERTIFIED the winner himself.

Why are some who should know better are appealing to authority? Proof method called appealing to authority is quite popular with freshmen students. It doesn't suite brafessors and ex-brafessors.

Who cares whether Michelle O was eloquent or not. Anybody who is vying for the highest office and the leader of the free world needs to be and will be held to the highest standards possible.

However many superlative adjectives are used and hyping has-been chess players with superlatives like "reputable", "reputed", "very very very^n highly respected", "credible", "award winning", etc. it will be seen as a case of "The lady doth protest too much, methinks".

Who can forget the man who invented Internet single handedly? He did not slink off into sunset. He went for recounting, re-recounting, and all that drama. He was also pretty "intelligent" in the he did not ask for re-count of the very county that would have given him a win. All those who are smirking now are going to do RR on Nov 6th. I hope they don't break their TVs and don't take it out on their pets.

siap-ji,

Relax, please don't have a stroke. Many of us are concerned about our fellow human beings and don't want them to suffer needlessly. Please, you & family, take precaution against unnecessary exposure to violent elements should Trump win. The time of Gore vs. Bush is old history. This time around it will be very different. As much as I wanted to donate to the Trump campaign, I did not. This for fear of being targeted by Dems if Harris wins, because the West Bengal Mamta didi model of lynching opposition is commencing in the US.

VoteHub seems a good site to follow for the last days of the election runup:

Pollster aggregates: https://polls.votehub.com/

Early and mail voting statistics across 5 battleground states + FL: https://projects.votehub.com/pages/early-voting-tracker

Of the 5 states only PA and NC report the votes by party registration.

Voter turnout in GA (55%) and NC (51%) has been very high. Given the 2020 final turnouts were 66% and 77% in these two states, let's see how many more people the two parties' ground operations are able to get out to vote.

Guys relax nothing will happen. Media will keep harping some nonsense, there are some sensitive areas where rioting is a possibility. But by and large things will work out. Polling shows a dead heat, but either Trump will take the swing states in the last hour or Kamala may comeback with more mail-in ballots later the week. The laws are tightened and People are more aware. So except for few thousand fraud votes nothing big is possible. My prediction is if Trump cannot be declared a winner around early morning November 6th, the chances of Harris win will go higher.

Trump is fighting for his life and he is going to face jail time for the rest of his life if he loses. However, common Abduls are not seeing any benefit of Biden\s so called liberal policies. So chance of Trump win is higher, but everything depends on how much grass roots urban democrats can be energized to beat Trumps rural crowd. If the election is about Trump's character he will lose. If it is about the economy Kamala is going to lose. This is not 2020 where many republicans simply thought the day of election mobilization is enough. This time mobilization happened early and republicans fought hand to hand with the democrats on early voting mobilization.

^^Given the character issues + Roe vs Wade, this election is one of the few that might be approximated in a binary manner....the gender gap. Bhaidanwa won on women's vote. Given the amplified misogyny/abuse of women (including Harris) by Anusmouth and his campaign, i would imagine a robust support for Harris from women. She is a more acceptable candidate than Hillary to break the glass ceiling. But then USA voters are notoriously unpredictable, so its time for amusement with popcorn/chana/whisky in 48 hours.

Yeah I know democrats are talking about Gender gap. My analysis of the polls tells me the gender gap in the swing states is not much to force a victory. There could be more gap in states like Texas.

Hillary had more baggage compared to Harris, but Hillary had more organizational power and could have swung a win if she did not have that email issue that deterred independents. Harris came in last minute and she may not be popular enough to persuade fence sitters. Also, I don't think breaking a glass ceiling is such a big deal for people other than the entrenched democrats. Harris could have built a robust minority coalition if not for her last minute entry. Biden's win is more attributed to his suburban strength than gender gap. In fact Trump improved his women vote share in 2020. See the below link:

You did not understand my point. Its not a comparison between 2016 and 2020. The fact is Bhaidanwa won on women's votes, period. Gender is a simple binary in US elections. This election has clearcut gender specific issues, and much more nuanced suburban vs urban vs rural issues.

Here is more specific info:

I fully agree with every point that you have made and that Trump is an immortal and incompetent person to lead anything let alone a country.

I hope Trump wins by a slender margin and becomes the President. The resulting chaos in US will make sure that it’s meddling in other nations affairs will reduce and also result in lost influence. This can only be good news for India which is what this forum should be concerned about.

Kamala is incompetent by herself. but she is puppet backed by DS/GR, and Obama.
Kamala's win will be repeat of Obama's presidency. Pro-Islamic. For India - ugly.

Trump is a maverick/unpredictable. His stance is MAGA - make Amrica great again.
He has proven to be anti-Chin in previous presidency.
If he wins he will be anti-imports meaning anti-Chin and anti-Bharat. For India - ugly again.

For India, any President will be problematic - different set of problems with different Presidents.

For Indian Americans - who can vote, Trump will be a better choice.
He will at least try to do something good for the US economy.

For Indians - Trump will be better - since he will not be blatantly anti-India or anti-Hindu. He will be just pro-America, and the ensuing tussle can be negotiated.

Really this is the worst Presidential candidates In the US ever since since I am here.

I have never voted Republican President ... I knew Biden could be bad for India. Happened as predicted

I can't vote for the empty head Harris. She is a total dud and front for a machine led by who knows!!

If you see what's going on in Canada, aren't Indians seeing what I am seeing? The Indians/Hindus are being intimidated by US/Canada Democrats and establishments using Khalistanis. The movie might have played in Canada but the screenplay and direction was in DC by State Dept and Democrats.

I can't support these Democrats with any good conscience this time ..

Ignoring the pretentious John Oliver, what caught my eye was:
Oliver directed his Sunday night plea to those voters “rightly furious” about the Biden administration’s “indefensible” policy toward the war in Gaza. “Look, I get why this is so difficult, and I know there are some who won’t vote for Harris under any circumstances because of this issue,” he said, adding: “I wish Harris had done more to reach out to you, beyond sending Bill Clinton to basically scold you this week. That didn’t seem remotely helpful to me, and honestly, felt a bit like bullying.”

But he also pointed to Muslim and Arab voices “who have also wrestled hard with this question and arrived at the conclusion that despite their pain, to vote for Harris.”
Its this type of pandering that is concerning

As Michelle Obama so eloquently stated,
.. Snip
Based on the moral standards isn't Trump a lesser evil than the policies of Democrats?

Some reasons are given below.

1. In the Ukrainian war started by the USA, think of how many people were killed, and injured and of the displaced people. So much money is wasted on war, that will ultimately burden the common man.

2. The almost open border policy repeatedly affirmed by Democrats, the influx of criminal-minded low-income people, the resultant violence in the society, and the wealth drain for their social support.

3. The Democrat govt starting to separate children from parents on the issue of gender identity, reports of males accessing ladies' private rooms using the loose gender definition policy, the majority of Democrat senators voting against the deportation of sex offenders etc

For India it is going to be a tight rope walk irrespective of who wins.

For Americans it is quite a sensitive subject as you can see some of the comments right here :) Both side of the supporters think the world will end if the other person gets elected and they think their candidate will make the world of difference. Also there is no neutral media on this. One side will say Trump is a felon, Russian agent and rapist and the other side will say Kamala is a left wing brainless puppet working for the corporate interests, neocons etc etc :rotfl:

The bottom line seems to be Trump will go back to protectionist economic policy, clamp down on the border and restart all oil drilling throwing away all the environmental regulation Biden has put in. His win is going to embolden some of the republican states to implement more anti-abortion laws. There is going to be tax sops for the corporates and rich.

Kamala will be more of the continuation of the same Biden policies, except may be have more ex-Obama advisors in the cabinet to make some marginal improvements. Kamala does not have the experience or the leadership qualities to do anything major in the foreign policy front. She is simply going to listen to the State dept bureaucrats who are still living in the cold war. There will be no major shift in the Senate or House so nothing that is in the liberal agenda can be implemented.

In the meantime, I see another housing crises and a stock market bust coming soon no matter what. Trump admin (if Trump wins) cannot stop that in the short time just by starting the drilling. The rest of the arguments are just fluff.

Basically the American people's choice is between should they go back to 2016 Trump era or continue with 2020 Biden era. The wars that is running in the middle east and Russia will continue unless the parties in play come to some sense. The world is growing towards more protectionist trade, de-dollarization will continue, US technology dominance will continue and so will the Chinese struggle to become number one power.

4. More importantly, Dems are all for allowing males who identify as female into women sports - at all levels. American parents are very passionate about school/college level sports for their kids, going after parents who are questioning school boards and teachers on what is being taught to kids as young as 5-7 re. gender, LGBT, pandering to Teachers unions

5. Ofcourse economy, inflation, immigration, funding for distant wars. They are the top issues.

How tribal. It is like some folks in India do block voting. That was also quite popular among the leftist students of the RSU/PDSU kind in the our student union elections. They were block voting for the campus naxals.

Recent polls show that fully 20% of people lie to their spouses whom they voted for.
It is possible that the male members of your extended family and friends (probably numbering in 50s if not more  ) will reverse the advice given to wives of GOP men and vote for Trump, the "convicted rapist felon", eh?!!! :rotfl:

Pros/Cons of Democrats - vs Trump vis -a vis - India -- Qui Bono

    • Democrats Trump

This man has quote a following. He is a conservative veteran AA living in CA. This is what some of the AA men are thinking. I think what they resent the most is the "I know better than you who is good for you" talking down of the Obama kind.

Even Jesse Jackson called it way back when Obama was a rising star in the party.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Jackson#2000s
In March 2007 Jackson declared his support for then-Senator Barack Obama in the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries.[254] He later criticized Obama in 2007 for "acting like he's white" in response to the Jena 6 beating case.[255] On July 6, 2008, during an interview with Fox News, a microphone picked up Jackson whispering to fellow guest Reed Tuckson:[256] "See, Barack's been, ahh, talking down to black people on this faith-based... I want to cut his nuts off."[257] Jackson was expressing his disappointment in Obama's Father's Day speech chastising absent Black fathers.[258] Subsequent to his Fox News interview, Jackson apologized and reiterated his support for Obama.[257]
He apologized under duress from DNC, me thinks.

 VP Harris also roped in rap stars twerk for her (GA), parade pop stars namely JLo, Beyonce (she was supposed to perform and didn't and Harris got booed), CardiB (Who forgot her speech and had to call her aide to come on to the stage and hand her a mobile which had the prepared statement), SNL (NBC fell afoul of the equal airtime rule of FCC and has been sighted by FCC for that violation). They are breaking all rules. There are hundreds of election related cases already filed in 37/50 states.

But some are relaxing in their Atherton mansions sipping expensive single malt scotches. Most in the ivory tower academics are whining here and there and making a spectacle of themselves.

They forget Mathew 5:5
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Balakot happened in Feb. 2019. Trump stayed out of India's affairs. Dems in congress were hopping mad. Later in August 2019, Article 370 was removed, then again, the Trump administration nor the US ambassador to India at the time, Kenneth Juster, said anything much about it. Had these two events happened just a few years later, there would have been all sorts of concerns & condemnations coming from Washington DC with the threat of sanctions. In fact, right before Covid hit, Trump came to India in early 2020 and there wasn't any lecturing or hectoring India about it's internal affairs.

What we see in Canada today, with the attack on Hindus & Hindu temples, we will see that in the US with Kamala Harris. As it is, the US DoS and FBI have done nothing about the attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco by Khalistani criminals from July 2023.

I think most people have made their minds up on who they will vote...this election was more about personalities rather than policies or who is good/bad for India (from Indians PoV). Anyways, it seems like Dems are happy & a little assured of KH win based on the exit polls so far.

Atlas Intel, which is ranked as an A+ pollster, and was most accurate in 2020:
https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/ ... -vs-harris

PA: Trump +1
NV: Trump +3
WI: Trump +1
MI: Trump +2
NC: Trump +2
GA: Trump +2
VA: Harris +5
NH: Harris +5
MN: Harris +2
TX: Trump +11

Note, that past performance is not an indicator of future performance, and in most of these polls, the advantage either candidate has is within the Margin of Error.

If Trump wins with less than 300 EVs, the Dems will not certify the election. Barricades are going up around Washington DC and in shops across the country in the event Trump wins and rioting occurs.

There is a major change happening in the U.S. People are fed up with woke agendas. The Democratic party appeasing criminals and interfering in their lives, restricting their speech etc is not taken kindly. People has finally snapped and seeing Trump as their savior from the oligarchas+politician+govt that has choked them for long. Issues like inflation, fuel price hike, their own and their families safety and security from criminals crossing the border all has found traction with the people. Even safety of their pets will bring votes to Republicans. Democrats going extreme far left has also made the religious folks in the party switch side to the Republicans. Its literally a silent uprising of the commoners against the agenda driven politicians funded by oligarchs who used to disregard their concerns and push their agenda of Wokeism, climate agenda, altering laws to help criminals over victims, disregard for religious rights etc.

BREAKING: Source inside the Kamala Harris campaign says Kamala has gone absolutely batsht crazy at the lack of voter turnout in PA.

“She snapped”

@BehizyTweets
Maricopa County officials just announced bad news for Kamala Harris & the Democrats.

27k mail-in ballots arrived with mismatched signatures, and 15k have been cured, meaning 12,000 ballots will NOT be counted unless they're cured.

Mail-in voting is the Democrat's bread-and-butter method of voting. Their so-called blue firewall is falling apart.

DT is able to pull off large rallies while KH campaign has lost attracting people to the rallies. Even voter frauds are seeing stiff resistance. DT team has upped the ante and asking for Swamp the votes to wipe out fraudulent votes.
