As some of you know, I blog on Indian national security, current wars (Russia and Ukraine) and Indian startups. I retired early from the corporate
world having been a CEO and this blog is a hobby in my 2nd innings. I write to educate and express myself.
The blog is free and non commercial. I am independent. Hence, I hope MODs will allow it, as its non commercial and I have no agenda.
While my subjects are very niche - I write on areas not covered by the mainstream media and which most are uninterested in, I do have
15,000 readers - 8000 active, from 50 countries, half outside India, many in senior positions.
There is a limit to how much I can research and write, on Indian defense, because I have not had the privilege of serving in uniform.
(I come from a Navy family) While Military history is my hobby, my knowledge and time are limited. I write on the Ukraine war because I lived
in Russia and on Israel because I perhaps uniquely, did business with Israel, Iran and the Arab world at the same time and have a diploma in Middle Eastern history from Tel Aviv Univ.
I therefore want to invite others to contribute articles for my blog in areas of their expertise.
Specifically, if you have served, or have subject matter expertise, I would love to have an article on for e.g.
- Counter insurgency (say RR in Kashmir)
- What it is like to serve on the Chinese border, or commanding an infantry battalion.
- Or an article on what the IAF's fleet should look like, or manpower reform, or our submarine strategy.
I don't pay for articles, but can only offer you exposure to a serious set of readers across the world, which may help those who want to transition
from the military. The only things I would not allow contributors to write about is politics and anti India content.
