Rarely will you hear a non western, non white, non elitist leader from an asian country speak like this to a predominantly white audience about the west's double standards

The others on the stage seem not only gobsmacked, judging by their expressions, they appear to have been sandbagged.

as usual, the star of the show is Dr Jaishankar.

The book PM Modi referred to in Parliament yesterday is former #CIA officer #BruceRiedel’s 2015 book on the 1962 Sino-Indian war.

Riedel quotes from #Nehru’s letters to #Kennedy seeking US military help in the war. India lost 38,000 sq km to China, as ⁦@RahulGandhi⁩ knows.

DOGE Cancels $21M Voter Turnout Funding in India

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), under the leadership of Elon Musk, has canceled a $21 million grant that was initially allocated for enhancing voter turnout in India. This decision has sparked discussions and concerns about potential foreign interference in Indian elections, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suggesting that such funding could be an attempt at influencing Indian democracy. Despite the cancellation, the original intent of the grant was to increase voter participation.

Was it the first attempt at electoral interference in India by USAID? The answer is - NO.

Court in India’s Goa jails man for life in rape, killing of Irish woman

How is a foreigner's life more valuable than an Indian life

or are we still in eternal awe of the गोरा-चमड़ा

why not a standard punishment for all rape and murders in India.

For similar offences in India and Indian victims, why are the courts so lenient with the criminals and full of BS like "every sinner has a future, every saint has a past", not the "rarest of the rare", as though they were talking about some kid's stamp collection

Don't brown people matter

or were these guys scared of the gora media

USAID paid $21 million to influence Indian elections by targeting voter turnout, says Mike Benz.

The award was piped thru the NGO named "Consortium for Elections & Political Process Strengthening".

I checked the grants. The US has piped billions of taxpayer funds to CEPPS over the last 15 years.

The CEPPS operates thru 3 fronts, including the National Democracy Institute (NDI), which in turn supports Asian Network for Free Elections. Note the Indian map without J&K and Ladakh they published in Mar 2024:

USAID interference went beyond elections
USAID "effectively ran India's National Family Health Survey (NFHS) from the 1990s" till it was stopped in 2022
"Not only were we allowing a foreign agency to harvest our medical data but, by allowing them to design surveys and direct analysis, we were letting them influence our national health responses. Equally worryingly, much of the NFHS questionnaire was deliberately skewed to support certain social narratives. The questionnaire for men, for instance, is only 29 pages but that for women is 94 pages."
Sanyal claimed the questionnaires were "slyly" designed to elicit a narrative of intra-family violence against Indian women.
Acknowledging that it took the NDA government long eight years to discontinue the USAID influence in NFHS, Sanyal said "it is not so easy to upturn a well-established system that went back decades".
So now I wonder if moves to cut back on USAID aren't coming from the law of diminishing returns where they are getting shut out, hence unable to show impact.

"How can in a country like ours or in any democracy, by statutory prescription, the Chief Justice of India participate in the selection of the CBI director?

Can there be any legal rationale for it?" Vice President Dhankhar wondered

https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/how-can ... rs-7712449

Bhopal:

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today said that the Chief Justice of the country shouldn't be involved in any executive appointment in a democracy like India. "How can in a country like ours or in any democracy, by statutory prescription, the Chief Justice of India participate in the selection of the CBI director? Can there be any legal rationale for it?" Mr Dhankhar wondered.

"I can appreciate that the Statutory prescription took shape because the executive of the day has yielded to a judicial verdict. But the time has come to revisit. This surely does not merge with democracy. How can we involve the Chief Justice of India with any executive appointment?" he added.

His statement has come at a time when a meeting is to be held for the selection of the next Chief Election Commissioner. The selection would be a first since the Chief Election Commissioner And Other Election Commissioners (Appointment, Conditions of Service And Term of Office) Act, 2023, was passed.

They have done it in full public view in 2012, which means with the approval of the govt of the day.

Other cases are so beautifully disguised, no one can tell their true intentions.

How USAID Funneled $21 Million To India For 'Voter Turnout'
A lot more than $21 million was funneled through the same route since 2008.
NDTV dug into the data and followed the trail of money. All data has been sourced from US government sites, from Income Tax returns and the websites of the NGOs involved in funneling money to India for "voter turnout".

Before we get into the details, let's look at why this is significant.

The Biden administration has been under fire since Donald Trump took over as President in January. President Trump has alleged large-scale corruption in the US Agency for International Development (USAID).

There was a MOU signed last year between Indian Govt and USAID for making Railways net zero carbon emissions
https://pib.gov.in/PressReleaseIframePa ... ID=1993367

You can try to paint every involvement of these agencies as some hidden/secret foreign "interference" but the fact is that both state and central government has hundreds of such MOUs quite a lot of it actually translating to funding and initiatives.

Sanjeev Sanyal on Twitter is claiming that India's National Family Health Survey (NFHS) was run by USAID till a couple of years ago
https://x.com/sanjeevsanyal/status/1891451746335215971

^^ If these things can continue to happen 8-10 years into the Modi Govt then one can only think in horror as to previous administrations

Rekha Gupta is the new CM of Delhi, a first time MLA of BJP.

I hope she looks at things afresh and straightens out the mess created by Kejri AAP and their appeasement of migrant labor into delhi. Many areas require demolishment and rebuild. Rope in eminent domain, big builders and rejuvenate entire Delhi area. It should be model for the rest of the nation to follow in cleanliness, clean rivers, clean roads, proper buildings, etc. Good law and order, great public transport, already the metro is great. Lots of work needs to be done.

Rekha Gupta will be BJP CM in Delhi after 27 years.

Parvesh Varma will be Deputy CM!!

Vijender Gupta who won even in AAP wave in 2015 and 2020 will be the Speaker of Delhi assembly.

Arvind Kejriwal Govt used to throw Vijender Gupta out of the assembly.

Kejriwal used to mistreat him. AAP Speaker used to throw BJP MLAs out of the assembly during sessions.

It gets more and more intriguing - govt sources say the following - ( full probe is imp now ) -
+ USAID funding has been linked to influencing political outcomes, particularly during election years.
+ Under the UPA (2004-13), the Indian government received $204.28 million, while NGOs received $2,114.96 million.
Under NDA (2014-24), government funding dropped to $1.51 million (till 2015), while NGO funding increased to $2,579.73 million.
+ "Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance" funding spiked in 2022, coinciding with Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra.
+ USAID stopped funding the Government of India after 2015. But Top NGO recipients linked to USAID include Catholic Relief Services ($218M), CARE International ($208M)
OCCRP (received $47M) published reports that were allegedly used against the Modi government.
+ InterNews trained Indian journalists in USAID-backed programs to influence media narratives
