The Next Gen Corvette (NGC) project for 5 hulls (GRSE) +3 hulls (L2 bidder, thought to be GSL) is underway with contract finalization expected by end March 2026. The NGC is slightly bigger than the Project 11356 Talwar class but displaces considerably more. Expect similar combat systems as the P17A to be installed. In other words, the NGC is a sort of mini P17A. More details will emerge in the coming years. It is likely GRSE will outsource construction of some NGC hulls to a private shipyard.
