A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
Arre Wah!
What an effort - an eminently archivable work.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
Abhijit
You had beter re-check those links. There are at least a couple of sites there which are Paki pretending to be Indian.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
Wow ! Excellent work Abhijit. There were quite a few sites I hadn't seen and a few of them were good. Good job.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
OK folks - why not help Abhijit check out these sites so that we can identify Paki sites looking for popularity as Indian sites - like Puki run "Indian" restaurants in various parts of the world.

Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
The Rajasthan Regiment is actually ment to be the Rajput Regiment (the 1962 soldiers are from 2 Rajputs) and the Rajasthan Rifles are the Rajputana Rifles.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites

Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
He does sound a bit blunt but what does he stand to gain in this site this is just a picture gallery site and the news is very out dated. If he is pakistani then he does not gain anything from this site.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
A great effort ! Add the unofficial Jat Regiment web page too.
thejatregiment.cjb.net
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites

Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
New Video clip (third clip from top) of a PGM hitting a mountaintop Northern Flight Infantry bunker. Actually the clip is not new - but after the fact was pointed out to me I enlarged it and you can see at least two men running for cover across a clearing just before the IAF PGM hits. In the actual video many more men are visible - but in this "net enabled version" only two men - shadows moving across a field are seen. I have placed a black moving marker pointing to one man - but your mpeg player needs to have the highest resolution for this. You may need to download the clip and loop it to see the detail as described. Should work on Windows media player.
Also a couple of new sections on nuclear weapons and antitank weapons.
[This message has been edited by shiv (edited 10-04-2001).]
[This message has been edited by shiv (edited 10-04-2001).]
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
Could someone please point out to me sites that deal with the history of the 47, 65 and 71 wars. There aren't that many AFAIK.
Re: A comprehensive guide to Indian defence sites
One of my sites updated.
In order to fill what I saw as a lacuna on the net and a general lack of awareness of what all these wars India had with Pakistan were about I have revamped an old existing site of mine (from a slow loading one) to one in which I have summarized info about indo Pak wars. Please check it out. The old stuff is still there - but hidden and acceesible only through the '65 page
India Pakistan wars
