CNN had a Rabbi (Shalom someone) who said that the baby Moishe had been reunited with his family (not sure what family refers to here) - also that it is Moishe's birthday tomorrow :(

NDTV saying that 2 terrorists and 5 civilians confirmed dead in Nariman House. The 5 are assumed to include the rabbi and his wife but this is not confirmed. Sad but a given since the first minute of the hostage drama.

Hoping and praying that the change is permanent and he doesnt go back to his DDM mode once the dust settles...

NDTV showing nationalities of the dead so far and few from USSR show up in that!!!!

The fact that MMS has taken the earth shattering decision of summoning the ISI chief for chai-biskoot shows that we are screwed and the NSG should be alert for the next round of action very, very soon...

Abe,how can you be so heartless to a man of "love"! He sincerely believes that Indians must turn the cheek when slapped every time and worship at the feet of the leader of the Church of Latter-Day Morons, the Rev.Bush. Edited to remove unsavoury stuff...

Tragic news. All hostages at Nariman House found dead. This will include all the Jewish hostages.Absolutely tragic.Let's hope that Indo-Israeli relations will not suffer much damage at this tragedy. The Israeli's themselves never deal with terrorists and from the tarck record of these scumpigs, they were ruthless with innocent civilians and sought out Brits,Yanks and Israelis to especially kill.

Finally at the Taj floodlights have been brought in! Almost 48 hrs too late. There sems to be just one scumpig, but there may be others just keeping cavey to erupt into action later.

the taj I believe, here:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Indi ... 767306.cms

no idea how her phone could be located in raigarh.

Lalmohan, there are almost certainly half dozen people from the 5th teams on the loose at present. 1,2,3 are the hostage sites, 4 was the girlie boy who got coshed on marine drive. where is 5?

I am sure there is a frantic but quiet search ongoing now.

dont forget the blasts near mazgaon and juhu...the 5th group could have
splintered into more modules and decamped

How much truth is there to this initial drumbeat that US/UK nationals were targetted? Given that bulk of those killed in the hotels were Indians, its clear ISI instructed the pigs not to harm westerners lest they invite western wrath. I wish someone in the DDM would present this kind of analysis. Imagine a hotel in Times Square were attacked by such pigs, and most of the dead were Americans with say Indians let go; you think CNN et. all, wouldn't have analyzed the dicken out of this?

the bodies found in the hallways have yet to be id'ed - they expect those to be of the foreigners

also, being porkis, if a brit claimed he was italian, a true porki would have let him go on the grounds of not knowing the difference - however a britpaki would know the difference... maybe that's something to think about in terms of the id's of the scumbags

The one thing that will never change is how these Pakis jihadis are loaded with "Confirmed" information that the dark cowardly hindus will bow down on their knees the moment they start firing, and it'll be easy just lob a few grenades and fire off...

These stupids were probably told that they will be able to hold off for about a week!

They must be getting the shock of their lives when they get captured alive - they all probably start off with their islamic shit, then move on to the women and childern raped/killed in kashmir, and then a few sound bytes about muslims in gujrat etc. then more religious shit until they have nothing more left to say.
Through all this they are thinking this will impress the interrogators like hell.
The interrogators look at the poor brainwashed impoverished idiot blabbing about like a lamb before getting slaughtered.

And then slowly suspicion creeps in - maybe just maybe what the maulanas and the trainers in Pakistan said about these Indians is perhaps not exactly true. It gets worse when the interrogators know the names of your training camp and names of your trainers, - these guys are not indignant any more after this point.
Then realization dawns - they've been suckered BIG TIME By the maulanars back home - these buggers have just absorbed the worst shock of their lives - Perhaps just perhaps the story of the 72 isn't true either -
he's glad he made it alive... this far...

Did anyone hear the terrorist Imran Babar's audio when he called up media and started talking about "insults" to the moose limbs?
In order to fake that he was yindian and from dhakkan mooh jaa aye din he was uttering pure hindi words "pershashun", "moothbhed", "baalak" but alas a pakjabi can always be found out.
And he seemed so surprised("mumbai???") when his location was mentioned mumbai in the media's question.

Taj standoff continuing past 48 hours of heavy exchange points to some people checking in with heavy suitcases in advance with AK magazines and grenades. This will probably lead to airport type baggage checking in hotels.

The ongoing firing/explosions in Nariman House is probably sanitation room by room--doors being shot open and grenades being thrown in.

Very scary if a few actually just mixed into the crowd after landing on the shore through their boats without bothering to go on a rampage...
They might have coolly walked into the nearest ghetto to bide their time and try a repeat when the dust settles after few days!!!

Perhaps some of that heat seeking scopes that can see through walls stuff that you see all over hollywood - Stuff that makes life easier for the hero kinda thingies.

So far as the action itself is concerned, Patriotism apart - No nation and certainly not a nation the size of India allows foreigners in to run the show in domestic ground; Only our guys can perform adequately enough because of their familiarity with language, locations, building types etc.
I was watching the segment where spec-ops troops dropped down from the choppers on to the roof of the Jewish center. From their movement in the immediate thereafter, I sensed that they did not have good intelligence on the lay-out of the building which slowed their movement. I gathered from my Israeli counterparts that these guys are well trained including by FBI CT/HRT and by Israelis among others.

I have to assume that they have been rushed into action by political masters who are reeling from a disastrous situation and bad publicity before the troopers received adequate intelligence on the surrounding, the building lay-out and the mood inside the building.

I cannot but make another observation. Whats up with the myriad different uniforms and camos? In one pic I see a guy wearing an over sized helmet which reminded me of the movie Space Balls. I assume that the security services in India are really suffering from serious neglect by either their superiors in the security services or by their political masters or by both.

Someone need to tell the politicians that however well trained a soldier is, he is not bullet proof. He is not one stop solution to bad policy.

I would think thats almost a certainty..not just possibility.

and thats why a fresh squad of 60 NSG has landed in mumbai this evening as a strategic reserve. its been 36 straight hrs since the first batch of 300
NSG touched down in mumbai. similarly the marcos have been in action for 48 hrs now. there are not many marcos to start with, most are deployed elsewhere.

if there is a 2nd round, the NSG reserves and probably a batallion of para cdo will be in action.

There is stiff resistance at the Taj. There was equally strong resistance at the Nariman House. The terrorists have been audacious, and merciless. They have been well equipped and supplied. All these point to extreme motivation, support from professional organizations and training.

if there's no more hostages, I'd say bring in the shipons and heavy explosive charges, hose anything that stirs after that. half a mag into each one. we already have a few alive to torture and extract info from.

meanwhile, we need a serious wake up call for all the DDM dorks and dorkettes out there - STOP BEING SUCH TOTAL MORONS AND HELPING THE ENEMY!!!!

Well Asprinzl,
you hit the hammer on the nail head !
India today is still like Israel was in the '70's. In terms of development and very occasionally - as in this case of helmets at least, in terms of equipment.
But this helmet issue has been cried upon before several times here at BRF. I think the issue is related to funding.

15 bodies seen in single room in Taj: Commando
Mumbai (PTI): The terrorists who struck at Taj Mahal hotel operated with ease and showed no remorse and fired at anyone who moved, a top marine commando said, adding he saw 12 to 15 dead bodies in a single room at the luxury premises.

Giving an account of the commando raid at the besieged Taj, the leader of Indian Navy's elite Marine Commandos (MARCOS) on Friday said his team saw about 50 dead bodies scattered through the hotel during the flush out operation. "12 to 15 dead bodies" were seen in one single room, he said.

"They were the kind of people with no remorse — anybody and whomsoever came in front of them they fired," the unidentified masked commando whose face was disguised in a black scarf and sunglasses told reporters.

The account by the commando, who battled terrorists room-to-room in the hotel, was the first of the fighting to be given by a member of the elite operations unit since their operations began in the wee hours of Thursday.

A Mauritius national's identity card was recovered from the rucksack of a terrorist who escaped from a hotel room, he said, adding the recovered rucksack also contained Chinese made hand grenades, seven ammunition magazines, 400 spare rounds of ammunition, seven credit cards of different banks, dry rations and $1,200 and Rs 6,840.

He said the commandos had been hampered by not knowing the layout of the 400 rooms in the hotel and that the exchanges of fire had taken place in darkness.

But, he said the terrorists who were hurling grenades and firing from different floors and could not be seen because of the darkness and were "operating with ease."

Indicating that the terrorists had done a recce of the targeted landmarks before their attack, the MARCOS leader said it was because of their knowledge of the building that the terrorists were able to to strike at will.

The commando said the assault team had noticed only three to four terrorists, who were probably operating from different floors, as they were very well versed with the topography of the Taj hotel, where they were holed up for nearly 40 hours.

He said the commandos could have got the terrorists but for the presence of many guests.

"The bodies were lying strewn here and there. There was blood all over and in trying to avoid the casualty of those civilians, we had to be that much more careful," he said.

The guerrillas would have needed training to fire the weapons they used, he said, adding "Definitely it appears not everybody can fire the AK series of weapons." AK-47 rifles were amogn teh weapons used by the terrorists.

Describing the physique of terrorists, the MARCOS leader said they were not of a "big built" and were below thirty years of age.

"They were wearing T-shirts and looked to be below 30 years and were of normal built," he said.

The MARCOS leader said the team had to face a problem in dealing with the terrorists inside the hotel as they did not know much about the building and had to take the help of the hotel staff to operate there.

"We had to find our way out as we did not know the layout of Taj. The hotel staff helped us to find our way inside there," he said.

The team could not even get access to the CCTV monitoring room that could have helped it in finding the exact location of the terrorists.

"When we tried to enter the CCTV room, it was full of smoke and entering it was not possible and terrorists were also continuing with their fire," the team leader said.

The MARCOS leader said terrorists were taking advantage of the darkness inside the hotel and continued firing whereas they had to move ahead with caution to avoid civilian casualties inside there.

"They were firing all over and people were getting killed. We were also firing back at them but we had to be careful as civilian casualties are to be avoided," he added.
