I saw videos in some threads, when ever I visit that page the video starts downloading ... I think providing link to the videos is a better idea, rather than showing that video in the page.

Moderators, can you please just change Dhiman's name?

BR needs to stop being so anti-new people. Instead of simply changing his name and solving the problem, the moderators are upset because he took a dig at them. This is why BR becomes a close minded clique. We need new people for new ideas and new perspectives!

I think if anything, these type of situations say more about Indian "piskology" than all the threads we have.

So how close am I to get a visa to Bakistan ? Already as an devout ex-mullah I am on the run constantly from the admin-al-scissorhands.

Could anyone tell me how can I create tables in posts ? The tag [table] doesn't work. Is there another method?

Thanks.

@ keshav, you know when I see phrases like like "BR needs to stop being so anti-new people", I can't but think that people should think a little before shooting from the hip. it would make life easier for all of us.
your next statement, viz. "the moderators are upset because he took a dig at them" has got me even more mystified !! not sure how you arrived at that conclusion but congrats on a neat bit of imagination ! 8)
cheers !

@ nayak, this is the routine : 3 warnings --> 1 month vanavas, + 4th warning on return --> 3 month vanavas + 5th warning --> perm ban.

of course, warnings wither away after 6 months, so the chankian person will time his misdeeds accordingly !

@mohang, sorry boss, it's not there at the moment. may be you can use the code tags.

regards everybody.

I am at warning level 1; would this get reset to 0 if I continue to be good boy? Or is it a permanent daag on my internet character @ BRF?

ATTN: WEBMASTER NAVY SITE

Is the navy page being refurbished?
None of the links to the various ships of the navy are there. All there is the ship names and the numbers in service or proposed to be built.
And the formatting is none too good.

Hoping the site will be back on line very soon.

Learned Adminullahs,

Any plans for a scale model/diorama page for the Indian Army section? That is the only section lacking its models page, IAF section has it since ages, IN section also has had it for a while.... after my udghatan with SHAR, now it features quite a few ship/sub models.

If any plans are there for such a page, I can contribute one set of pics immediately for a diorama, followed up with a Army aviation chetak.

OK I can see it now. The last time, I think my browser did not load the section below.

But I feel that the earlier format of listing the ship types in order of their size / military importance was more appropriate.

Eg. The Aircraft carriers / Destroyers / Frigates / Corvettes / Missile Boats / and so on ...

Now the ships are listed in alhpabetical order of their types.

What are the numbers against each ship. The total number naval personnel assigned to each type? What importance does it have?

This 1970 question has been asked umpteen times and replied to as many number of times. Anyways here it goes again.

From Wiki:
Unix time, or POSIX time, is a system for describing points in time, defined as the number of seconds elapsed since midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of January 1, 1970, not counting leap seconds. It is widely used not only on Unix-like operating systems but also in many other computing systems.

The numbers of seconds elapsed since midnight Jan 01, 1970(Epoch/ unix timestamp) can be used to find the current date and time. Like SaiK says, instead of number of seconds elapsed since midnight Jan 01, 1970 till the date of joining , a zero value was assigned.
Hope this makes it clear :D

Asking again, someone please respond!

Every time I'm on a "Reply post" form, my Internet Explorer starts eating up memory and CPU % used and response to typing is slow. Is anyone experiencing something similar?

I hate Microsoft bashing but I'd recommend to try out the extremely lightweight browser - Google Chrome.

(a) clear your cache (temp internet files) and cookies

(b) Download a tool like HijackThis
http://majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

It self extracts into a folder. Find the executable and run it.

Look for suspicious "Browser Helper Objects" that may be loading into IE and disable them.
