Sharp Increase of Thorium Ore Reserves
The U.S.G.S.’ latest estimate of 915,000 tons of thorium ore reserves within the claims held by Thorium Energy, Inc., in Idaho and Montana compares to the previously published U.S.G.S. estimate of 160,000 tons for the entire United States as stated in the U.S.G.S. Mineral Commodity Summaries 2008.
This confirms that Thorium Energy, Inc.'s total Idaho and Montana thorium resources and reserves are the largest in the United States. Furthermore, the company is not aware of any larger, professionally documented reserves of high-grade thorium anywhere in the world. According to the current U.S.G.S. statistics, the next highest estimates of thorium ore are for Australia with 300,000 tons and India with 290,000 tons. It must be noted that the Idaho and Montana deposits are of high-grade thorite and thorianite rather than low-grade disseminated deposits as in India, for example.

The Chinese proliferation to its Pakistani and North Korean proxies was done the aim of setting up these regional "nuclear free" zones and hobbling other regional powers.

Achieving a Nuclear-Free Northeast Asia
The first step calls for South Korea, North Korea and Japan to form the core of the zone as nonnuclear states. Concurrent with this, China, Russia and the United States will extend legally binding guarantees to these three countries that they will engage neither in nuclear strikes nor threats of such aggression.

Nuclear Security Official Hints at Leaner, Less Costly Weapons Complex
For example, he noted that over the past two years, the projection of the number of new plutonium triggers that will be needed to keep the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile reliable and secure has steadily dropped from 450 a year to 20.

D'Agostino, a former Navy officer, told the subcommittee that he had made the production decision "that we would not exceed the minimum capacity, which was up to 20 pits," the industry name for plutonium triggers, per year, while awaiting Obama's decision on the future size of the stockpile.

latest fatwa from Grand Ayatollah Henry Sokolski
Inspections are another area where the agreement is not what it seems. Its wording makes reference to the very toughest type of inspection — the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Additional Protocol — which the UAE is quite willing to undergo. Unfortunately, the agreement does not actually require it to do so.

Chinese officials are urgently seeking a nugget of deadly radioactive material encased in a lead ball the size of a watermelon that was lost this week. The Caesium-137 may be buried in a scrap yard under tonnes of metal, and local officials believe it could have been melted down.
