Oh the food reminds me, that there is usually a very generous chai party right after the launch.
Lots of tea and pastries there.
I remember the goa shipyard launch days. This was the only day as a kid I could have Tea like the grown ups and those pastries were. yum yum.

times tv is showing the old foxtrot and just talk talk talk with the punk
anchor saying "you are seeing arihant on your screen now" . to a layman
he will think its arihant.

but news is that PM has finally pressed the switch, its a healthy 6000t boy
and two other twins are also developing nicely in womb.

4. Weapon Firing trials.

The declared operational. Time 2-3 years

A fully credible defence involves operating many such submarines providing continuous watch should hostilities arise.

if they dont have access, there is no point in this daylong live coverage thing.

SSBN will be operated by IN but under the direct command of the PM.

The interesting thing is that, the Navy will only own and operate the sub. The missiles will be the property of the Nuclear Command Authority, headed by the PM.

The SSBN have a load of the Ballistic missiles which are under the Government control. The SSNs are free to hunt other ships or subs under the navy.

Damn atleast show teh area wher it is going. I think u can get a view of it form atop teh Dolphin nose hill. shit i wish i were back home now maybe try to get a glimps of it perched on dolphin nose hill

time tv has a CG of a sub launching a mizzile from bay of bengal. the projectile flies directly to beijing which is overlaid with flames then.

sometimes our media can so crude

Watch DD. The first videos or pictures if any will appear on DD. Only then will they be distributed to the rest of the DDMs who will have to write "Courtsey:Doordarshan" on the clip.

A video clip should appear by evening.

Times Now is suggesting that Arihant can launch from under the ice-cap. However, is the ability to launch from underwater dependent on the submarine or the missile?

I am assuming that the submarine will remain submerged while launching the missile, and the missile will punch through the ice. Is this not the case?
