This chick is seriously hot ! Aaaoooooooooo....

Its the first time that the NP women battalion is out of Nagaland.Had seen the guys during elections in Jharkhand.Gun discipline was exact and very disciplined chaps. All of them carry SLRs as standard issue.Didn't see any INSAS on them.A couple of 9mm pistols were visible.

I suggest having them at prominent places....very smart....smarter than a the whole shit load of CMPF guys out there.

Could anyone tell me what the rail like thing along the right side of the tail is there for?

Image
I have been seeing this little guy in the recent times. I guess its the replacement for the chopper that crashed a few weeks back.

Image
I can't seem to identify this even though it looks familiar. Help anyone?

Happy to see this. It is the ALH Dhruv Navy version with SV2000 maritime search radar in its nose, Mihir dunking sonar in its belly and pylons for launching mines, torpedoes and countermeasures. It was rejected by the IN because of range, internal space, vibrations and lack of blade folding ability.

It is interesting. Hope something is cooking in this regard.

1. Not quite apparent which CPMF does he belong to...too many commandos...too many camos. Can't even
make out a patch

2.He has spare AK magazines which are stuffed into the front pouches making them look bulky. He also has
a secondary weapon , an OFB 9mm pistol stuffed on the right.

3. Yes ...the dress has inbulit padding at the knees.

Affirmative! Good to see them do away with the traditional way of wearing elbow and knee pads outside and resembling that of a kid learning to drive a bike for the first time. I had mentioned this couple of years ago, that elbow and knee pads are generally built in with the uniform out in the west, good to see it offers the same level of protecion with a better image of those safe guarding the borders!!!

Isn't that particular colour of the Beret a hallmark of the Dogra Regiment???

Well well well. One learns something new everyday. I had no idea about this chopper being used by Indian Navy. I mean, not even a whisper of it!

Edited later: Found a little bit in the Naval Aviation page. Not in service, as said. But why is it still flying around?

BV, those are indeed soldiers from the Dogra Regiment. The one immediately behind them is from MLI and one on 'their' left is from Mahar. The one in background is from Artillery.

Maybe some modifications/upgrades have been done to the SV-2000 or XXXX radar and it is being tested?

Probably, we may have deployed Mig-21s to avert any Suicide Air attack mission, but these Bisons aren't equipped with any Air to Air Missiles rather they seems to have pressed on with cannon fire to down enemy air attack.

According to reports Su-30MKI's are being deployed to protect capital air space along with other MiG fighters. IMO IAF won't risk sending up fighters without A2A missiles, a large civilian aircraft may not break apart with just cannon fire.

A few days ago I was watching "Real Top Guns" on Fox&History, the Australian Hornets were equipped with live A2A missiles when they were given the task of protecting CWG held there in '06.

Saw the exact same vehicle in Bluru few days back near Sarjapur ORR...It had helpfully printed EW vehicle on it just in case anyone had doubts as to what it was :D

The sound was more truck like and unlike a normal sumo...maybe some tweaks are done to the SUMO to carry the extra load of the EW gear!?

DD news showed a Su-30 taking off from Delhi AFB ( mostly Hindon) and mentioned the aircraft as part of CWG security cover...

Hope that some pics of the AD systems deployed ( SpyDER, SAxx series etc) also come out in the media...

^^jamming perhaps! snooping on call networks to determine what's going on around the vicinity..and many other things that wouldn't be appropriate in an open forum, or at least perhaps until the CWG are done!

Thats DLRL-developed 'Sujav' EW system for communication monitoring and jamming. I am guessing here it is being used to jam cellular communication outside the stadium. Civilian version, I recall is used quite often with VVIP convoys.
