Everything is simple onlee :rotfl:

There is yet another.
Topic: Is Pakistan A Terrorist State?
Panelists: Pervez Hoodbhoy, Hazrat Zaid Hamid (PBUH)

Part 1
Part 2

All these videos are from June-July this year, but until we wait for wikileaks to provide some excitement, and given the slow scoring by Team Pathania in Pakistan, some entertainment.

But this video is a Paki version of the Wikileaks.
They are trying to show to people that they are aware of their stance and state sponsored jihad.
They are aware of the state policy of using terrorism and are denying it openly to the world in all platforms. They are justifying killing of Indians as freedom fight when they know that they are killing women and children.

This is pretty interesting discusion by Tarek Fatah - Pakistani-born Canadian political activist, scholar and critic of Islamic fundamentalism, and author of "Chasing a Mirage: The Tragic Illusion of an Islamic State" - discusses the nature of Islamic fundamentalism and the identity crisis of Pakistan. He describes how: (a) Muslims cling to a glorified past as they have no contributions to the present; (b) there is no official role of clerics in Islam and faith should be left to the individual; (c) Islamic revivalism is a 20th century phenomenon rooted in European colonialism; (d) Islam must be reconciled with modernity to enable progress of Muslim societies; (e) the Golden Age of Islam is a myth and cannot be used as a model for the future; (f) a country can have an Islamic character but cannot be organized as an Islamic state (ie. Caliphate); and (g) no Western country should allow Sharia law on account of its regressive nature. He also discusses the identity crisis of Pakistan by explaining how: (1) the official propaganda against India and Hindus forces Pak Muslim youth to adopt an Arab ideology and culture; (2) Islamic fundamentalism is at odds with the tolerant and inclusive nature of Pak's Indian heritage; and (3) politicians in Pak are beginning to realize that India's economic success is due to its open society. This interview was recorded in 2008

The short term future promises some entertainment.

Leaked Cables Reveal True US Worldview ………………

When it comes to Pakistan, the US never quite knows if it is dealing with an ally or an enemy in the war on terror. The diplomats repeatedly report on political or military links between the Pakistanis and the Afghan Taliban. ……………….

All terrorism related stories usually have one thing in common, the keyword Pakistan

Portland's Christmas Tree Plot: Who is Mohamed Mohamud?
Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born U.S. citizen, is too young to drink but apparently old enough to pursue jihad — the version preached by al-Qaeda. On Friday night he was taken into custody after authorities alleged he tried to ignite a phony bomb on a Portland, Oregon street near a packed public Christmas tree lighting ceremony. What he had actually done was detonate his own arrest in an FBI sting.
Mohamud once attempted to get a visa to travel to Pakistan during a family visit to Britain but failed because his passport had not been valid. The affidavit says that Mohamud started thinking about jihad and becoming a mujahideen at the age of 15, during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, when he heard someone talking about martyrs. He allegedly said that he "didn't even have to hear anything else... This is a decision that I made... and if you don't sacrifice your own kids, when will victory come you know...."
After receiving court permission, the Feds found Mohamud's August 2009 email contact with an unnamed "Unindicted Associate" who turned out to be in a volatile northwestern region of Pakistan.

I consider that as a shining achievement of Pakistani diplomacy, if indeed that were true. We may not know it for sure whether the US acts dumb with Pakistan in order to achieve its goals or it truly is dumb when it comes to Pakistan. There is a belief that the US knows what it is doing with Pakistan (or, more precisely, what Pakistan was doing with it), but if the quoted part above is true, then the US has been successfully hoodwinked by Pakistan and taken on a grand ride. AoA onlee.

One thing we Indians need to understand about the role of Pakistan in the eyes of US establishment. It took me sometime to understand but the many decades of support for the cold war has created a large support base for Pakistan.
Americans are told that they need to support Pakistan for stability. One american told me this and then it hit me in the head. They look at India as a stable country which will survive all the little blasts here and there.
But for Pakistan there is a sense of some obligation which has started to reduce after 911. After 911 there is slow introspection but it is still slow on Pakistan. They still feel that Pakistan needs only stability and not real change.

There is a larger geo political change which they are monitoring. all the global war on terror and other world order changes are due to long term changes in Pakistan for the last 30 years. They want to take advantage of all these 'opportunities' for US interest and this can go on indefinite until a catastrophic event happens.

Of course that is true. But, even during those days of Cold War, Pakistan was double-crossing the Americans.

For Americans it is a small thing. Loss here and there is tolerated.
But after 911 things have changed. But Pak also knows its limits and Op Parakram drew the line. It also sent the entire focus inwards into Pakistan.

wikileaks in the telegraph of UK
Other findings include how since 2007, America had mounted a highly secret effort to remove from a Pakistani research reactor enriched uranium for a nuclear bomb. Frustrations with Pakistan were reflected in reported comments by King Abdullah who called President Asif Ali Zardari the greatest obstacle to progress, adding: “When the head is rotten, it affects the whole body

X posting from Wikileaks Diplomatic Cable Dump - News and Discussion

Turkey did not invite India on Afghan meet to appease Pak
India was deliberately kept out of the Turkey-sponsored meeting on Afghanistan earlier this year to address the "sensitivities" of Pakistan, according to WikiLeaks cable. Reflecting Islamabad's insistence at every international fora that New Delhi be kept out of any meeting on Afghanistan, a top Turkish diplomat told US officials early this year that India was kept out to address the concerns of Pakistan, WikiLeaks said.

At a meeting with the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, William Burns; Rauf Engin Soysal who then was the Turkey's Deputy Under-Secretary for Bilateral Political Affairs responsible for the Middle East, South Asia and Africa; said Turkey had not invited India to the Afghan neighbours summit in deference to Pak sensitivities.

For the TSP mindset, not blocking the visit is a sign of weakness and cause for celebration of victory over the SDRE yindoos. The decision should be based on whether we want to send a message to TSP, and what that message is.

Only two research reactors in Pakistan.
1. The PARR reactor in Rawalpindi (actually on the outskirts of Pindi and Isloo)
2. Kushab

Kushab is located in a far off place well away from media eyes, so this has to be the PARR at pindi.

Forget the H&D stuff, do we need to invite a man who as general ordered the eyegouging of Indian Soldiers? I can believe that not everything in a state happens as per wishes of a chief minister, but can an act in a professional army happen without the orders of a General?

This is not a slap in India's face - just Turkey (a friend of India) pandering to Paki howls, just for this one time, in an area that borders Pakistan. Business ties between desh & Turkey speak much louder than words.

"Considering Kurdish sensitivities" would actually be similar to Turkey "considering Khalistani sensitivities", i.e. an internal issue that will sink all ties between India & Turkey.

Zardari, Rajapakse agree on ‘engagement’ ( Reading the Headline, i felt like someone is getting married )
During the exclusive meeting that lasted for one hour, the two presidents agreed on taking the existing level of Pak-Sri Lankan relationship to “new heights”, encompassing a multi-sectoral engagement in addition to defence, that had been a major sector of collaboration between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the past.

President Zardari said Pakistan greatly valued its close relationship with Sri Lanka and said both countries always stood by each other in turbulent times and shared commonality of views on regional security.

He said Pakistan was happy to note that the Sri Lankan government had been able to defeat terrorism, and stressed the need for joint cooperation to counter this menace.

He said Pakistan always supported the unity, territorial integrity and sovirginity of Sri Lanka and assured that despite its own economic difficulties, Pakistan would continue to contribute towards the socio-economic development of Sri Lanka. How?

http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2010/11/ ... .html?_r=1
Pakistan's Zardari Barred From Pardoning C
LAHORE (Reuters) - A Pakistani court Monday barred President Asif Ali Zardari from pardoning a Christian woman sentenced to death on charges of insulting Islam, in a case that has sparked criticism over the country's blasphemy law. Asia Bibi, a 45-year-old mother of four, requested a pardon from the president after a lower court sentenced her to death on Nov 8 in a case stemming from a village dispute. The Lahore High Court barred Zardari from pardoning Bibi in a petition filed by Shahid Iqbal, a Pakistani citizen. Iqbal's lawyer Allah Bux Laghari told Reuters a pardon was illegal as the court was already hearing an appeal against her sentence. We believe it is the court's duty to evaluate the evidence against her, not individuals, and if she is found innocent, she should be freed," he said. Human rights groups have demanded the repeal of the law, which they say discriminates against religious minorities who make up roughly 4 percent of Pakistan's 170 million population. Last week, a government minister said an initial inquiry into the case of the Christian mother said she had not committed blasphemy but was falsely accused after a quarrel.

So, a paki comedian walks into a neighborhood bar in Swat and says loudly "Didja hear about that brave paki mard who sued the CIA for half a million bucks for killing his tellibunny son"? Out of the following three plausible futire events, which one do you think will never be possible in our lifetime?

1. That there will be a paki comedian with a sense of humor
2. That there are neighborhood bars in Swat.
3. That CIA will admit guilt and compensate that paki moron.

If you guessed "3", you are right.
A Pakistani man who says he lost his son and brother in an American missile attack in the country’s northwest is demanding damages from the CIA.
Kareem Khan said on Monday that his client will file a lawsuit against the director of the CIA and the US defense secretary unless he receives $500 million in compensation.

So that paki nitwit wants $500M before he files a lawsuit. And thats a threat. I wonder what his coordinat...er, address is.
